We stayed as a family with our dog to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Despite it being Golden Week and reasonably priced, we didn't expect much but found the accommodation clean and comfortable. The receptionist was very kind, recommending an onsen and providing excellent service. They also offered some special services for our daughter's birthday, which made us very happy. Although the large clock in the living room had stopped and the toilet light bulb was out, it was still a satisfying facility. Thank you!

We stayed for one night with dinner and breakfast included. The Accommodation was clean, and the fireplace and the scent of wood in the Room were very relaxing. I’m giving it 4 stars because there was no bathtub, only a shower. The meals were very satisfying. As an auberge around Asahikawa, it’s top-class so far. Once all guests are seated, the dishes are served all at once, but we were able to enjoy beer and other drinks beforehand. Taisetsuzan Beer is recommended. It started raining the next morning, and the Hotel staff brought us an umbrella. It’s a Facility that makes you want to come back again.

My spouse and I stayed for one night while sightseeing around the Mikata Five Lakes. The Accommodation is on the shore of Lake Mikata, and the view from our Room was wonderful—the sunset was dazzling. Dinner featured a boat platter of sashimi that was more than enough for two, and it was fresh and delicious. The other dishes (corn sesame tofu, Wagyu beef, and a clam hot pot with salted butter, etc.) were also carefully prepared and beautifully seasoned, leaving us completely satisfied. Breakfast was delicious as well and very filling. It was also great to be able to see Lake Mikata from the bath. It’s just over a 10-minute drive to the Mikata Five Lakes Terrace, making this Accommodation highly recommended for trips to the Mikata Five Lakes or Wakasa Bay. We’d love to visit again during crab season someday.

As we did last year, we stayed here again during Golden Week. The log house is well equipped with pots, plates, and other essentials, and it felt very clean. Our kids don’t like insects and usually have a hard time getting used to log houses, but this place was clean and they enjoyed their stay. The BBQ area has a greenhouse-style roof, so even though it rained at night, we were able to enjoy it without any problems. The bath is in the main building and is available until 10:00 PM.

I made a Reservation under a Plan that included access to a nearby Onsen Facility, but I was told it was a 10-minute drive away, so I requested a refund and felt really disappointed.\nHowever, I was truly impressed by the hospitality afterward.\nThe seafood grill included oysters, abalone, and crab, and everything was delicious.\nThat day, one young woman took care of us on her own. During our conversation, I mentioned that my second son had come with me during his birthday break.\nAs a surprise birthday gesture, she decorated a pudding and celebrated with us.\nThe miso soup was also delicious—I even had seconds.\nI really appreciated the warm hospitality.

The meals—especially the BBQ dinner—were delicious. The Maeda beef steak was outstanding. Since we stayed at the Super Premium Site, it was convenient that we could drive directly onto the site. The spacious grounds also made our dogs very happy; seeing them run around excitedly was truly satisfying. It felt like a luxurious private dog run experience. The beds inside the tent were also extremely comfortable. The large public bath in the clubhouse was fairly standard, but I appreciated the free massage chair in the changing room. One downside was that although there is an air cooler and a fan inside the tent, they didn’t work effectively at all. (It was comfortable from sunset until early morning, but during summer daytime it felt like a greenhouse—unbearable!) I recommend staying outside the tent during the day. It was also very inconvenient that there is no toilet on-site; if you see this as part of embracing outdoor inconveniences (no toilet, no refrigerator, no air conditioning, etc.), then it might be acceptable—but if you advertise it as a Super Premium Site, I honestly wish basic comfort (at least a toilet and heating/cooling) were provided. (Especially given that it wasn’t cheap.) There is a small cabin on the site with air conditioning and it was wonderfully cool, but it’s so small and empty that I did wonder whether it makes sense to pay such a high rate only to spend most of your time in that cabin… After check-in there isn’t really anywhere else cool within the site, so you end up taking refuge in this cabin, staying in your car with A/C on, or going to the clubhouse… Since the tent itself is so lovely, it would have been ideal if we could have spent most of our time comfortably inside it. I also strongly felt how convenient it would be if there were a toilet inside that air-conditioned cabin. Since you have to walk to the clubhouse restroom each time, you need to keep reminding yourself to go before it becomes urgent. (Waiting until your limit might be tough!) Unfortunately we couldn’t see the starry sky at night because of bad weather—it was disappointing—but I’d love to come back for another try next time, aiming for a more comfortable season! All staff members were very kind and made our stay pleasant. Thank you very much.

Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, and we were very satisfied!! The baths are divided into a large public bath and a natural hot spring bath; both were very relaxing, and the kids loved them. We’d love to visit again if we have the chance!

We chose this vacation house in the Maoi area of Naganuma Town to get away from the city noise, relax in nature, and recharge. It had already been featured by various people on YouTube, so it fully lived up to our expectations. All we could hear were birdsong, insects, and the wind. Just watching the sky change—from sunset to twilight, a sky full of stars, and then dawn—made all our worries fade away. We stayed at Maoiq konfort, designed around a Scandinavian interior concept. The Louis Poulsen pendant lights in the double-height space were beautiful as they reflected again and again in the glass against the sunset sky. For me, unlike a Hotel stay, there’s simply no alternative to a vacation house where you can spend time privately and peacefully without anyone disturbing you—so I don’t mind a small difference in cost. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. Below are a few points that I felt would make it even better, from my perspective working in architecture and interiors: I would have liked an interior roller blind since the entrance door is glass. Similarly, vertical blinds on the living-room windows facing the double-height space would be helpful. It would be best if there were dimmer circuits for the lighting switches. I’d prefer outlets by the bed to be on the center side; there was nowhere convenient to place my phone while charging. The bedside light is positioned too high and falls into your line of sight when lying down. If Scandinavian design is truly the concept, I’d like to see floor or table lamps added. I wanted lower-level lighting overall. (Downlights on the double-height ceiling don’t feel necessary.) To enjoy stargazing at night, I wanted an on/off switch for the lighting that illuminates the white birch trunks across from the terrace. A luggage rack would be appreciated—I didn’t want to bring dirty suitcase wheels indoors.

I’d long wanted to visit Bessho Onsen. It had great Reviews on Google Maps, and when I searched IKYU.com for “solo travel” and “Western-style room,” I chose Midoriya—Done! I was a little concerned about the cutting-edge, tech-driven operation, but that worry was unfounded: the smartphone-based process was very smooth. It also made me feel this is something I should get used to—and that it may well become a new standard. This time I booked a breakfast-only Plan for a Multiple Night Stay, and during my stay I used three private Onsen baths a total of six times. What I loved was being able to experience different types of water depending on the bath and the day—clear, slightly greenish, milky white, or with soft yunohana drifting in the water. Each bath has both an indoor bath and an open-air bath, and I thoroughly enjoyed historic Bessho Onsen with its skin-beautifying qualities, gentle feel, and subtle sulfur scent. During my stay, I saw all kinds of guests—a mom with her baby along with her own mother, a young European couple, and solo female international travelers—and it was clear everyone was enjoying their time in their own way.

The Facility was clean, and the view was great. Unfortunately, since it was the day before a typhoon, we couldn’t see the starry sky. The BBQ meat was delicious. However, I would have preferred chicken thigh instead of drumettes—just my personal opinion. The shrimp were also plump and tasty.

The in-room loungewear had a beautiful tsumugi-style pattern. It was also great that the Room had a separate toilet and shower booth, rather than a unit bath. Since the large public bath is spacious, I think the in-room shower is more than enough.

The Facility is new, and the shower rooms were assigned by Room number and had locks, so it was very comfortable. However, one disappointing point was that there were two spots of dog poop in the dog run—probably left by a previous guest—and they were fairly large, so I wish more attention had been paid during cleaning. Also, since we are paying an accommodation fee, I think satisfaction would increase if items like diaper wraps (belly bands) and treats were provided. Also, when it rains you get wet walking from the Room to the tarp area, so I would be happy if there were a covered section along the way as well. In particular, it would be better if there were a roof at the entrance. I’ve written what I noticed, but overall the staff were pleasant, and it’s an Accommodation I’d like to stay at again. The lobby and the room were stylish, spacious, and luxurious. Since it came with a kitchen, we bought ingredients in Otaru before heading to the hotel and enjoyed cooking and spending a delightful time together. The cooking utensils and tableware were well-equipped and of high quality, making our stay comfortable.

We stayed here after visiting Universal Studios Japan. 4 adults: 69,000 yen. No BBQ, breakfast only. Since the park was open past 10 pm, we arrived at 11 pm and basically just slept. The place was spacious and the heating was warm (there were three heaters, but we only needed one). It was also nice to have two sinks. A few small issues: we found hair on the bedding in two spots, and although there were four adults, there were only three coffee packets provided. (There were about ten packets of sugar and creamer… compared to just three coffees.) I also wish there had been tea bags. Not everyone drinks coffee, so it would be nice to have a drink option for both morning and night. As for breakfast, the hamburger was very filling—honestly a bit too heavy for older guests. Also, some people can’t eat meat, so it would be great to have non-meat options. The juice choice was apple juice only. Maybe because of the heating, the futons felt quite thin. We brought our own blankets, so it worked out. It was pitch-dark at night, but when we woke up in the morning, the view was beautiful. Overall we were satisfied. It felt like a waste to stay somewhere this nice just to sleep—next time we’d like to try the BBQ as well. Thank you very much.

The food was as delicious as everyone said. The herb chicken braised in red wine for the main dish was outstanding. This may have been my oversight, but I think having a wine list when ordering would have helped with choosing the type of wine and knowing when to order it. It was very quiet and perfect as a summer retreat. Away from everyday life, I was able to relax and take my time. The building may be old, but it was very well cleaned, and I could feel the owner’s warmth. Thank you very much.

The Facility itself feels a bit dated, but the meals were delicious, with many dishes featuring seasonal local ingredients. The Onsen water was also excellent, and the Room had a reliable internet connection. Overall, we were very satisfied.

I forgot my pot, but you helped me look for it, and thanks to that I was able to make a delicious tuna curry as my daughter requested. For a barbecue, almost everything you need is provided, so you only have to bring the ingredients—no need to bring any equipment.

We booked this Accommodation because there was a residents’ discount, so we decided to stay somewhere nicer than usual. When we stayed before, it wasn’t all-inclusive, so we were really looking forward to it this time. The dango grilling was available until 4:00 p.m. We arrived just in time at 4:00 p.m., but we were glad we still got to do it. The amazake was delicious as well. The Onsen was empty, so it felt like a private bath and was wonderful. After the bath, I went to the alcohol corner for a drink, but the room was hot. When I opened the entrance door for ventilation, it was closed again. I also couldn’t find the air conditioner switch. There was a TV installed, but no remote control, so I couldn’t turn it on. Unfortunately, I went back to our Room right away. It said free Wi-Fi was available; it worked in the lobby but not in our Room, which was disappointing. We were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. At breakfast there were many different side dishes for rice, and I ended up running out of rice. There were a few disappointing points, but all of the staff were kind and very pleasant. The Onsen and meals were great as well, so it turned into a wonderful wedding anniversary trip.

This property is originally a private wedding venue and is only occasionally available for stays when no weddings are being held. There is no pool, but there is a dreamlike chapel that feels like paradise; with staff permission, you may visit and take photos. The rooms and service are excellent, the food is delicious, and it’s the perfect place to relax in comfort.

Everything—the Room, the bath, and the meals—was excellent, but above all, the staff were truly outstanding. Even though we caused you trouble with changes to the Shuttle Service pickup location due to our circumstances and issues such as a locker malfunction in the bath area, you responded with great kindness. My daughter and I kept saying how glad we were that we stayed here. Thank you very much. We expect to visit the island several more times in the future, so we will continue to stay at your Accommodation.
