We’ve stayed here as a family for three years in a row. In short, this cottage is wonderful in every way! They’ve also added a bicycle rental option starting this year, which made our stay even better. It’s easy to see why so many guests return. We’ll definitely be back again next year.

Thank you for taking care of us the other day for my wife’s birthday!! In a word… it was amazing!! The Room, bath, sauna, food, hospitality, and views were all perfect. The weather was a bit iffy, but we were very satisfied to catch a brief break in the clouds and see Mt. Fuji. My wife was happy too!! We would definitely love to visit again!!

I forgot an item during my stay, but the hotel staff handled it very kindly and sent it to me with shipping prepaid. Also, since I was traveling with a child, I really appreciated receiving baby body soap and a shampoo set. If I have the opportunity again, I would definitely like to stay here. Thank you very much!

Staying at this price during the Obon holiday is wonderful. Although the exterior looks a bit worn, the inside has been nicely renovated and we were able to stay comfortably. The meals also offered sufficient quality and quantity for the price. However, perhaps because it was Obon, dinner felt drawn out as it took quite a long time for the next dishes to be served. That said, it was an Accommodation with excellent value for money and a high level of satisfaction.

Dinner was a hot pot, and there was so much pork that we couldn’t finish it all. The staff were mostly foreign, but their Japanese was excellent and they worked efficiently. Although the building is spacious, it is kept very clean. There was probably an open-air bath, but it wasn’t operating, which was disappointing; however, the bathing area and indoor bath were both spacious and comfortable.

The Hotel is located in a quiet spot with great views, and the scenery from the 5th-floor observation level is wonderful. The Room is not very large, but it is well cleaned and feels relaxing. Both the large public bath and the open-air bath are spacious, so I was able to soak at my own pace and felt refreshed. The meals were delicious for both dinner and breakfast, with a satisfying variety and flavor. The all-inclusive service is also very appealing—being able to choose drinks to match the dishes is perfect for those who enjoy alcohol. All of the staff were kind and naturally attentive, making this a relaxing stay.

I was happy to be able to celebrate my birthday here again this year. Not only was the Room wonderful, but the meals were delicious, and the staff’s hospitality was excellent—I’m always grateful. The towel cake in the Room and the mago chazuke I had been hoping to try made it even more special. I had a truly lovely time. Thank you very much.

This was my second stay. This time, I traveled with my elderly mother. They accommodated the Room request I had shared in advance, and the front desk staff were very kind and helpful. It was a comfortable stay. I would like to stay again.

Last time, we arrived after visiting other sightseeing spots and felt a bit rushed, so we made this reservation hoping to relax properly this time. Fortunately, we were blessed with great weather and truly enjoyed not only the dinner course, but also the sunset and breakfast on the balcony. Based on photos from our previous stay, my daughter created a printmaking piece, and I came wearing a T-shirt printed with it—so I was happy to be able to show it to everyone. I’m writing to let you know that the dishes we ordered through “Let’s Eat at Home Today!” arrived safely today. We’ll enjoy them while reminiscing about our stay. We look forward to seeing you again someday. Thank you very much.

Compact yet fully equipped. Thoughtful attention to detail made possible by its intimate size. I felt a warmth you won’t find in a large Hotel. I was impressed by how well designed the bath area is—the atmosphere feels completely different at night and in the morning. I will definitely return. Thank you for your hospitality.

We stayed as two adults with a small dog. We usually enjoy camping in a tent, but we wanted to simplify setup and packing up, and while looking for a place a bit farther away, we found the ideal cottage. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side, and we were worried because it rained so heavily that evacuation alerts came through on our phones the next morning, but we were able to head home without any issues. Because of the rain, we couldn’t enjoy the view, the starry sky, or a campfire, but we thoroughly enjoyed BBQ on the terrace. Since BBQ is basically all we ever do for meal prep, you kindly allowed us to use the on-site BBQ area as well. During our Onsen visit, you even looked after our dog—thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of us in every way. We brought various supplies for our dog, but aside from food, none of it was necessary—you had everything covered for dogs too... There were plenty of insect-repellent measures prepared, and the amenities were more than sufficient. The bedding was also clean. We definitely want to come again on a sunny day!!

With an excellent location for sightseeing in Nara, we stayed here for the second time, this time to visit the Nara National Museum. From the moment we arrived, the parking guidance was very courteous. The room was spotless, and the large public bath was clean as well. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast and had a very pleasant stay. After checking out, the staff member who first assisted us even came out of their way to see us off, which made both my husband and me truly happy. I think this is a wonderful inn filled with warm hospitality and thoughtful care.

Yunokawa Kanko Hotel Shoen, an Itoen Hotels property in Hakodate, offers a relaxing atmosphere throughout the Hotel and spacious baths, making it easy to unwind and enjoy sightseeing in Hakodate.

The front desk staff were very courteous, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent and delicious. It was disappointing that the Onsen is only available in the large public bath. The location was wonderful, and we were able to see Hashima Island. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

I always stay here. The location is convenient, and I love the calm atmosphere!

We stayed here for our family trip at the end of summer vacation. It was a special Room—the only one of its kind in the Hotel. It had the space of two Rooms plus a living area, and an exceptionally large bathroom—about the size of another Room—with a spacious bathtub where you can fully stretch out, as well as a separate shower room. The bubble-bath function had been removed, but features such as the marble flooring gave it a very luxurious feel. There were also private stairs, a ramp, and an exclusive corridor leading to this special Room, with outstanding attention to privacy. From the Room, we enjoyed breathtaking views over all of Lake Megami and the surrounding mountains. There were three large TVs, which delighted our children, and we could use the air conditioning as well, so we stayed comfortable throughout our visit. The public bath included an open-air bath and even two saunas, and the lockers were clean. From the open-air bath we could look out over Lake Megami and the mountains while relaxing in the Onsen. We enjoyed cooling off in the cold bath, watching clouds drift by, and taking our time to fully appreciate Tateshina Onsen. As it was peak season, both dinner and breakfast were buffet only; while there weren’t many items overall, each dish was truly delicious. The coffee did not seem to be freshly drip-brewed from a machine like those found at some buffets, so having a coffee machine would be nice. Next time we are very much looking forward to trying kaiseki cuisine at the basement-level restaurant as well. As an IKYU.com Diamond member benefit I requested late check-out; unfortunately it wasn’t possible due to peak season demand. Still, this is such a wonderful Hotel that we wanted to stay even longer—the Room was beautiful, spacious, and impressive in every way. Thank you also for the Diamond member gifts (a bottle of wine and souvenirs from Nagano). Since in Parking Lot No. 1 the wheelchair-priority space is shared with EV charging spaces, I think it would be better to separate them so that enough spaces can be secured to meet nighttime EV charging demand while keeping accessible parking available at all times. We arrived at 11:00 and completed check-in procedures first; the front desk staff were excellent. We requested early check-in but it wasn’t possible due to peak season; however when keys became available before 3:00 p.m., they were handed out in order of completion of procedures—so arriving early was worthwhile for us after all. We will be staying in this same Room again in the future as well; thank you in advance from our whole family for your continued hospitality. Thank you very much to all staff members.”

I stayed on the Club Floor for two nights, and it was very good. The location was convenient, and I was able to relax in the lounge. I would like to stay here again when I come to Otaru. However, the breakfast venue was a little hot.

It was perfect for the relaxing trip we were looking for. The staff member in charge created a warm, friendly atmosphere during our meals, and we truly enjoyed chatting with them; the food was excellent as well. Their wonderful hospitality made dining a real pleasure. This was our first stay at NIPPONIA, but we would love to stay again somewhere else. The welcoming atmosphere and delicious cuisine made us want to come back.

I stayed here on a recommendation from an acquaintance. The room was spacious, the bed was wonderfully plush, and the in-room hot spring bath was especially amazing. The amenities were also well stocked. Dinner—traditional Japanese cuisine—was very delicious, and we enjoyed it with drinks. It was our first all-inclusive stay, and the kids were thrilled with the Häagen-Dazs. If I had to mention something: My husband was disappointed that there weren’t many options for in-room drinks and snacks. For me, it was the toothbrush—the bristles didn’t feel like they cleaned well. Next time I’ll bring my own from home.

Used for one night during a trip around Tohoku. I booked at a great price and honestly didn’t expect much, but the value for money was outstanding—I was truly impressed. The room felt a bit dated, but it was kept very clean and was spacious enough to be comfortable. I also loved the ocean view at sunrise. What really stood out was the buffet. They offered plenty of local specialties such as Morioka reimen, wanko soba, and imoni, and the roast beef was authentic. Not only Japanese dishes but also Western and Chinese options—an incredible variety with so many choices. Lots of desserts too! There was even a chocolate fountain that kids would love, and the fruit quality was excellent. Everything tasted delicious—truly wonderful. The all-you-can-drink alcohol selection was also extensive; it almost made me worry whether they can make a profit with this price for one night with two meals included. Breakfast was just as fantastic. The buffet layout is refined and uncluttered as well. I’ve stayed in many places, but this buffet is better than that of certain members-only resort hotels. It really reminded me that hospitality matters more than facilities. It’s lively with what seem to be repeat guests from nearby prefectures, yet they don’t appear to overbook beyond their capacity—the service is attentive throughout. It’s a shame it’s too far for me to visit often. I’m honestly jealous of those who live nearby. A family trip here would be guaranteed to satisfy everyone.
