I recommended this Hotel for a business trip stay. Although we made a Reservation for a single, it seems we were upgraded to a twin Room, which was greatly appreciated. Since my colleague stayed at the same Hotel, we were able to hold meetings in the spacious Room, which was very helpful. The breakfast is excellent, so I advised going early; it seems the front desk mentioned this as well. Because it’s popular and gets crowded, going early was the right choice. A park with an ocean view is also just a short walk away, making a morning stroll very pleasant, and I will definitely choose this Hotel again next time. This time we were able to stay within budget and are very satisfied. Thank you very much.

A female relative of mine ended up staying on short notice, and the staff handled it appropriately. She was able to stay with just what she had on hand, and the amenities were well stocked, which made her very happy. Above all, I was very satisfied that she could sleep soundly on the same mattress I use.

This was my second stay this year because I particularly enjoyed the food last time. Originally a bank's retreat, the compact front desk and building layout reflect its history. There is no greeting upon arrival, luggage assistance, or farewell service (you carry your luggage to the third-floor front desk yourself and leave on your own). However, I appreciate the stunning ocean view from the hilltop location and the cozy atmosphere with only 10 rooms. The Onsen features a 78-degree natural hot spring source, with a slightly small but pleasant open-air bath and high-quality massage chairs. This time, I stayed in a Western-style room near the elevator that was added later; it was spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds. The only downside was that the sink and toilet were adjacent without separation—though it did provide an open feel upon reflection. Dinner could only be enjoyed at the restaurant (unlike last time when in-room dining allowed for more relaxation), which was disappointing as wearing loungewear is not permitted—I would have preferred to dine in a relaxed atmosphere in loungewear. Starting February next year, dinner times will shift to two seatings; however, I hope they maintain flexibility like now where you can choose every 30 minutes. The food met expectations—delicious despite not using particularly expensive ingredients—with intricate sauces and beautiful presentation that truly felt like fine cuisine. Breakfast also offered plenty of variety and quality. Before dinner at the lounge, I ordered Royal Milk Tea which was so delicious that I ordered it again in the morning while enjoying an elegant atmosphere with ocean views through large windows. A staff member kindly offered to take my photo during this time while explaining distant scenery details—a friendly gesture that elevated my impression of this accommodation’s overall service level. Its convenient distance from Osaka makes me want to visit again!

We visited as a family of four, meeting up at Yamanashishi Station with our eldest son who lives in Tokyo and the three of us who drove from Kansai. As we got closer to the Accommodation, the country road shown by the navigation system made us think, “Could it really be this way?” and we struggled a little. If I had to mention any negatives from this trip, it would be that—and that the washbasin sink was black, so water marks were slightly noticeable after use. Upon arrival, we were surprised by how distinct and impressive it looked compared with its surroundings. We arrived about 30 minutes earlier than planned, but we were warmly welcomed and smoothly shown inside, which left a great first impression. The moment we opened the tasteful sliding entrance door set back from the gate, we were moved by the view stretching from the pine tree in the center courtyard all the way to the kura storehouse building across it. While preserving many historical elements—such as exterior walls, tiled roof, and pillars—the interior has been renovated into a clean and refined space that feels wonderful to spend time in. In both the audio room at the back where you can listen to records and the second-floor study stocked with everything from relatively recent Japanese literature to art books and foreign titles, there were chairs and ottomans in different styles arranged throughout. We were able to forget everyday life and relax at length. These spaces became favorites for my wife and daughter, who have a strong appreciation for music and art. My eldest son and I also used the sauna in the separate kura building across the courtyard before dinner. It’s available 24 hours; he enjoyed it late at night, while I went again after breakfast the next morning. In addition to a cold plunge bath there is also a regular bathtub; together with the indoor hinoki cypress bath in main building where you can fully stretch out your legs, there are two bathing options. Dinner and breakfast were served in another kura building on opposite side , featuring thoughtfully crafted dishes using plenty of local ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed everything—especially Koshu-style sukiyaki with beef and horse meat paired with three dipping sauces—alongside wine we picked up on our way there. After dinner we projected onto a large screen with projector held family drama viewing night for all four of us. We slept in bedroom where four beds could be lined up comfortably side by side. They even provided charging cables at each bedside equipped with three types of connectors—we were impressed by such attention to detail. Speaking of details: along with alcohol , refrigerator was stocked plenty chilled mineral water which was very helpful given season . There was also an assortment of nostalgic snacks card games insect-repellent items etc., showing both thoughtfulness playfulness. A location completely removed from noise spacious layout well-maintained Facilities lacking nothing an endlessly interesting interior blending old new perfectly—and being able enjoy all without interference as family four. It exceeded our expectations imagination. We’re glad chose this place for one those precious few times each year when whole family can gather . Thank you for your attentive hospitality .

The riverside open-air bath was closed, but we used the outdoor Onsen reached by going down 300 steps. The staircase is so narrow that only one person can pass at a time. We were told it’s open until 11:00 p.m., but we were worried about our footing at night, so we went in the evening and again in the morning. While soaking, we enjoyed the river’s flow and the mountains, listening to the sound of the water. The stairs were tough, but I truly felt glad we came. The semi-open-air bath down about 20 steps was also wonderful, with a clear view of the mountains right in front of you. The temperature was perfect for me. I didn’t expect much from the indoor bath, but it had large windows and felt very pleasant; there was a jacuzzi, a reclining bath, and a hotter pool where we could relax comfortably. Everyone at the Accommodation was very kind and welcoming. Dinner came in many small dishes. The beef and the meatballs in the hot pot were delicious. Even simple items like the beef sauce, hot-pot broth, and pickles were all excellent. The portions were just right for us as a couple. I think you need to be fairly fit to visit an outdoor Onsen that requires going down 300 steps—but I’m really glad we did. This isn’t about the Accommodation itself, but both the bus driver from Nasushiobara Station and the person at Shiobara Onsen Terminal who explained a map of Shiobara Onsen were incredibly friendly, which made our memories of this trip even better. This is a newly built, spotless Hotel. After soaking in a warm bubble bath before bed, I slept soundly through the night without waking up at all. The Simmons mattress was also exceptionally comfortable.

Everything—from the service and the Hotel’s interior design to the teppanyaki and even the smallest details in the guest room—was perfect. It was a truly moving and wonderful stay.

The Hotel Room was spacious, and we were able to relax comfortably. We chose this Hotel again because we had enjoyed the bath before, and this time the hot stone spa was also excellent. For this price, having the Room, hot stone spa, bath, and even breakfast included felt like a great value. The breakfast venue isn’t very large, so I wondered if guests arriving later might have to wait—but staff always guided us to seats, so everything seemed to run smoothly. If I had to mention one thing, I would have liked a tabletop mirror in the Room. I’d like to sit down while doing my makeup! Maybe we just didn’t find it! But we’d definitely like to stay again.

Thanks to booking through IKYU, we received several perks, which we truly appreciated. The pool is all-weather, so we could play safely without worrying about sunburn or rain. While the Facility shows some age, it is a wonderful piece of architecture and has been carefully maintained, allowing us to stay comfortably. Through the activities, we were able to see our children full of energy—an ideal setting for a family trip.

It was spacious and comfortable. The artificial Onsen felt like a proper Onsen. It might be a good option for a Multiple Night Stay. This time, I came to Nasu to dine at a certain restaurant, and even though it was No Meals Included, I was surprised at how affordable it was. I’d like to try other Room types as well.

I had been wanting to stay here for a long time, and my wish finally came true. I was very satisfied with the Onsen and the breakfast and dinner served in semi-private dining areas. If I had to mention something, the parking lot was far away and there were only stairs, so getting around was a bit difficult. Above all, I truly admired the staff’s warm and courteous service.

Whenever we visited Oku-Nikko and Yumoto, we would stop by Senjogahara or the ranch, and this Accommodation had always caught our eye. After turning 60, my spouse and I stayed here for the first time. The Onsen and the breakfast and dinner were wonderful, and it was a relaxing summer holiday to see many couples around our age dining in the restaurant. After ringing a bear bell and walking around Senjogahara for over an hour, we headed to Nikko Toshogu Shrine!

The large public bath was great, and the crowding updates were very helpful. Breakfast offered a wide variety, and I could enjoy it at a relaxed pace. There were many gelato flavors, which was fun. The bed was spacious, so I could rest comfortably. Check-out and other procedures were simple and easy.

My husband, daughter, and I travel to Hokkaido every year, and this time we visited Jozankei Onsen for the first time. We had imagined it as an Onsen area popular with large tour groups, but this Ryokan was run by a small team and their service was outstanding. It was the first time in a while that we truly enjoyed both our stay and delicious meals at a Ryokan. Not only the Japanese staff but also the international staff were highly professional in the way they spoke and in their knowledge of the cuisine (ingredients, cooking methods, etc.), and you could clearly see how diligently they are always learning. The lounge on the second floor offered light snacks, late-night bites, and tasty drinks throughout the day, which we enjoyed after bathing. The three of us stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room. We have a few minor comments about how the Room is partitioned and that there is no screen on the open-air bath window, but the free-flowing hot spring water from the source was excellent. We didn’t know there was such a Ryokan in Jozankei Onsen where individual travelers could enjoy themselves so much. We would love to visit again in another season.

I was very satisfied with the meal selection and timing, as well as the attentive service from the staff during meals. The Room also offered a lovely view of the green mountains, and best of all, it was quiet with no hustle and bustle, so I could truly relax. The bath was a bit far and required walking across floors; since this stay was in summer it was fine, but if I have the chance to stay in winter, I think it would be nice to have a long-sleeved jacket to wear over the yukata. Both dinner and breakfast were light yet satisfying, and every dish was delicious. In the morning there was complimentary coffee, which was perfect for a relaxing moment before departure. I would like to stay again when traveling in Chiba. Thank you very much.

It was a truly wonderful Hotel. The hot water was excellent, and I was very satisfied. One suggestion: it would be helpful to have a trash bin in the washing area of the bath. It was difficult to store amenities such as razors and toothbrushes. I would appreciate it if this could be improved. Also, I think the shop’s selection could be a bit more extensive. I would have been happy if there were some light snacks in the free drink corner.

After 25 years of visiting Nozawa Onsen just for skiing without staying overnight, this was my first stay. The Onsen was incredibly relaxing, and since it’s available all night, I went in from around 5 a.m.! Every dish was delicious; being in season, we had bamboo shoot rice. The attendant’s hospitality was wonderful, and we had a great conversation about visiting Togakushi Okusha the next day. Breakfast the following morning was also very enjoyable. I’m grateful to have stayed at such a lovely Accommodation and to all the staff. I’d love to stay again!

We stayed here as a couple. We used the 1-night, 2-meals included, drinks-inclusive Plan. The property was clean, and all staff provided courteous service. The meals were excellent and gave us a wonderful escape from everyday life. We were very satisfied. We would definitely stay again.

My son has become hooked on cycling the Shimanami Kaido, and he especially wanted to stay at this Accommodation again, so this was our third visit. The in-room bath is spacious and comfortable, and the meals—although it seems the chef has changed—are always delicious every time and have become one of the highlights of our trip. This time, for the first time, we signed up for the optional sunset cruise. We were able to view from the sea the places we had cycled during the day, and although there were some clouds at departure, we miraculously got to see the sunset as well—making it a wonderful memory. Cycling in extreme heat is tough, so next time we would like to return in spring or autumn.
