This trip was mainly to visit Ise Grand Shrine, Toba, and Futamiura. I was especially looking forward to visiting Futami Okitama Shrine and seeing the Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks), so I searched for the Accommodation closest to the shrine and chose “Oishiya.” From the very beginning, I was impressed by the exceptionally courteous and pleasant service. From arriving by taxi through check-in, being shown to my Room, dining, and even the Shuttle Service to the station after check-out, everything was handled in such a welcoming way that it made for a truly wonderful trip. To the proprietress, manager, attendants, Shuttle Service driver, and everyone at Oishiya, thank you very much. Dinner was a charcoal-grilled seafood kaiseki course. Starting with appetizers and sashimi, the main dishes featured an abundant selection including abalone, squid, turban shell, other shellfish, and vegetables. Being able to enjoy abalone both grilled and as sashimi made it an especially luxurious meal. The meal was so plentiful that I’m sorry I ended up leaving one dish unfinished. I also appreciate the attendant’s thoughtful consideration regarding dessert. The view of Futami’s sea from the panoramic bath was exceptional—I enjoyed it many times: before dinner, after dinner, and early in the morning. The location of this Accommodation is also perfect for accessing Futami Okitama Shrine. After check-in, after dinner, at sunrise time, and after check-out, I was able to visit a total of four times—it meant so much to me. Every view was wonderful, but the scenery at sunrise was truly unforgettable. Staying at “Oishiya” made this an outstanding trip. If I have another opportunity, I would love to stay again. I visited during the Obon holidays, and the drive was not crowded at all. The Accommodation was in a great location, just a short walk to Irago Cape Lighthouse. Right in front is Koijigahama Beach, and I was able to relax at the Accommodation while enjoying the beautiful ocean view. The owner, the young proprietress, and all the staff were wonderfully pleasant and welcoming. I have stayed at many Ryokan and Hotels, but I think this place is the best. The food was also delicious, and I am completely satisfied with everything. I would like to take good care of the hibiscus I received on my way home—thank you very much. I would definitely like to visit again.

We arrived in heavy rain and were feeling pretty discouraged, but this Hotel was so wonderful even in the rain that we were truly glad we chose it. On the second day, the weather cleared beautifully, and the Pacific Ocean stretching out right in front of our Room was breathtaking. The meals made great use of local ingredients, and every dish had its own charm. Thanks to dinner and breakfast being offered in time slots we could choose from, we were able to relax and take our time while enjoying the ocean view. After breakfast, we stepped out from the restaurant into the garden and came across many rare tropical plants—banana trees with blossoms and fruit, pandanus (adan), hibiscus, shell ginger flowers—and even hermit crabs. We also used the two private family baths twice, which completely washed away our travel fatigue. Everyone on the staff—from the restaurant to throughout the Hotel—was very kind, and they shared lots of local tips you won’t find in guidebooks. The Oshima Tsumugi Museum was also outstanding. It felt like we learned a bit about Amami Oshima’s history, making it a truly meaningful experience. Thanks to this trip, we also discovered painter Kazuo Tanaka (Isson) and became big fans. We would definitely love to stay at this Hotel again next time.

We stayed here for an anniversary trip as a couple. Since we both love saunas, we chose this Accommodation. In a word: “The most satisfying Accommodation we’ve ever stayed at”! From check-in to meals to check-out, all the staff were consistently courteous and attentive, and we felt comfortable from start to finish. What surprised us first when we entered the Room was how well stocked everything was—amenities and even complimentary items in the refrigerator. It was the first time we’d experienced such generous hospitality, and both of us kept saying, “Wow!” the whole time. The sauna we’d been looking forward to exceeded our expectations. During self löyly, a gentle roasted green tea aroma filled the space and was incredibly relaxing. The outdoor cooling area was also very comfortable, and we were able to unwind so much that we lost track of time. If you love saunas, I highly recommend trying it at least once. Both the Italian course dinner and the Japanese breakfast were truly excellent—we were completely satisfied. Not only were they beautifully presented, but every dish was delicious, with just the right portions so we could enjoy everything through to the end. It was our first time having a course meal so I felt a little nervous at first, but that made it an even more special memory. The overall atmosphere of the Accommodation was wonderful as well—enjoying the sauna, reading together, having unhurried conversations… Because there’s no clock or TV here, we could forget our usual busy routine and spend truly luxurious time together. The Room was spacious too—calm and very relaxing. If I had to mention one thing: since we stayed in summer, the open-air bath used as a cold plunge felt slightly lukewarm. I think it’s seasonal though—next time I’d like to visit in autumn or winter and enjoy an even more refreshing sauna experience. This is an Accommodation I genuinely recommend for anyone who wants to spend quiet time indoors or refresh while forgetting everyday busyness. Our anniversary became an unforgettable memory. We would absolutely love to stay again—thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality.

This year again, we stayed as a couple in two single Rooms. Thank you for another comfortable stay. Close to the station, with escalators up and down from the pedestrian deck. The Room is compact and cozy, and has everything we need. The bathroom has no step, and the bathtub is deep enough to soak up to your shoulders. The Hotel is clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was delicious—we were very satisfied. Since we only come back at night to sleep after finishing our errands, it’s better than booking a twin Room at a Hotel farther from the station. Having separate bathrooms morning and night means no wasted time—perfect for us. I’ve already made a Reservation for next year as well. We look forward to staying again.

The meals offered a wide variety of dishes, were beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. With only a few guest rooms, the Onsen was never crowded, so we could relax and enjoy it anytime. Although the building isn’t new, it is thoroughly cleaned and feels very fresh and spotless. The complimentary welcome coffee available at any time was a nice touch, and spotting squirrels on the lush grounds was a delightful surprise. All of the staff were kind as well—after being won over by the wonderful food, we’ve become repeat guests!

For the past 4–5 years, we have visited around the May holidays, but this time we came to Amami during the July holiday weekend. Instead of the unsettled weather before the rainy season, we enjoyed consecutive clear days and were soothed by Amami’s truly beautiful blue sea and sea turtles. As always, the staff’s outstanding hospitality and pleasant conversations make us want to come back again. The Room is a comfortable size, and soaking in the outdoor bath on the deck while looking up at the starry sky—along with the tropical plants in view—really helps you unwind. With tasteful amenities and consistently fun, delicious meals, this is a Hotel where you can take your time and enjoy both breakfast and dinner at a relaxed pace, truly feeling like you’re on holiday. We plan to visit again next July. Since I love Hawaii, I’m planning another trip next month as well—but this feels like what you’d choose in Hawaii when you want to relax on an outer island rather than Oahu or Waikiki. I think it’s an ideal place to do nothing but swim in the ocean and enjoy how wonderful it feels to gaze at a star-filled sky.

Within walking distance of Tomari Port, this Accommodation is in an ideal location for those heading out to the Kerama Islands. The Room was spotless, and the front desk service was excellent—nothing to fault. Their efforts, such as complimentary drinks, are impressive, and having a pool is another big plus. Personally, I highly recommend it. It felt like there were many international guests and some lively visitors. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it may not suit those who prefer a quiet Accommodation.

I stayed here with my mother and nephew on a trip for three. We were able to relax in a separate Room, and we could also borrow colorful yukata. This trip was to help cheer up my mother before she begins medical treatment, so it was truly wonderful. Breakfast was gently seasoned, and it seemed my mother was able to enjoy plenty of it as well. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

This is my favorite Hotel. This time, I visited with my grandchild for the first time, and we had a wonderful time. The meal at Cape Mondo was also very delicious. However, I was disappointed that the seahorses were gone. I would love to have seahorses kept there again so I can hold one. Whenever I went to the Seahorse restaurant, I always made sure to see them. Thank you in advance.

This was my second stay. I chose the plan for guests aged 50 and over, which included spiny lobster, abalone, and golden eye snapper. The meals were so delicious that I decided to return. Both the fish-focused dinner and the breakfast featuring spiny lobster miso soup and grilled horse mackerel were satisfying and filling. However, there were two things I found a bit disappointing this time. First, there was noise after 11:30 PM. It seemed to come from upstairs, possibly due to cleaning in the bath area. Other than that, it was very quiet, so the noise at night surprised me. Second, while they were preparing my futon bed, my coffee cup was taken away even though I had been using it. When I wanted to drink coffee later on but couldn’t find the cup anymore, it left me feeling disappointed. The staff serving breakfast were very pleasant and made for a nice departure experience overall. Since Awa-Kominato is one of my favorite places, I'll probably visit again in the future. Even if accommodations are not large-scale establishments, I'd like to choose based on their unique qualities each time!

We stayed here as a family to celebrate my and his birthdays. The Room was spacious, and everything—the toilet, bath, beds—was impeccably clean. The open-air bath was also at the perfect temperature, and it was clear it had been thoroughly cleaned. We ordered the BBQ and breakfast! The Awaji beef was excellent quality—tender and absolutely delicious. All the other dishes provided were stylish as well, and each paired perfectly with wine. I wondered if it would be enough… but it was more than enough—we couldn’t finish everything! I debated choosing No Meals Included and bringing our own ingredients, but I’m really glad we ordered the meals. If I had to mention one thing… there weren’t many dishes. In the morning, we planned to enjoy Sora Villa’s special sandwiches with coffee and onion soup, but there were only four mugs, so I wished there had been bowls for soup. In the morning too, we soaked in the open-air bath while listening to the waves rolling in around sunrise, then relaxed on the terrace with drinks and conversation. We were able to spend a truly relaxing and elegant time. Next time, we’d like to bring our dog as well—and visit again together.

From the pre-check-in lounge and light snacks to the Room, playroom, karaoke room, and large public bath, everything was clean, comfortable, and plenty of fun. Dinner was long-awaited, and we enjoyed more crab than we ever have before; the fresh seafood and beef steak were also very satisfying. Breakfast was just as excellent—especially the delicious burgers. Our whole family had a wonderful stay. Thank you very much.

We stayed with three families (nine people) during the season when the rapeseed flowers were in full bloom. Everyone—from kids to adults—had a wonderful time, and it became a great memory for us. The ocean stretches out right in front of the Accommodation. We took a walk in the morning before check-out, and it felt amazing. The sea was beautiful, and we thought, “In summer, we could really enjoy swimming here.” Having Yumigahama right in front is a major highlight of this Accommodation. Our Room also had an ocean view and was spacious, so we could relax comfortably. Meals were buffet-style, and everything was delicious—we were very satisfied. There was a wide variety of dishes, so much that we ended up eating too much. There was also all-you-can-drink beer and wine, which made mealtimes even more enjoyable (just be careful not to overdo it). There was an izakaya-style place in front of the Accommodation as well, so we said we might go later if needed—but in the end, we were satisfied enough that there was no need. After dinner, we went up to the rooftop. Spending time looking at the stars while enjoying coffee or tea was wonderful. Being able to enjoy stargazing on the Shiosai Terrace feels unique to this Accommodation. The open-air bath was also very pleasant and relaxing. That said, since it was quite busy when we stayed, it would have been even more comfortable if it were a bit larger. Breakfast was hearty too—delicious enough that we finished everything. Overall, it turned into a very satisfying trip. It’s a bit far from Tokyo, but Izu has many sightseeing spots, and even the journey there added to the travel experience. We’d love to visit again in another season.

Now in my 40s and with my parents in their 70s, I stayed here for a special parent-and-child trip. Unfortunately, it rained, but in the end we had an extremely satisfying stay. The sense of history, the tasteful architecture and furnishings, the staff’s hospitality, the wonderful meals (we dined at Le Trianon for both dinner and breakfast), and the cleanliness of the large public bath—plus the stunning view from the open-air bath—were all outstanding. My parents were truly delighted as well. In particular, Le Trianon’s breakfast course was the best we have ever had on any trip! Each dish—from the egg dishes to the smoothies—was carefully explained to us, making it a memorable experience (I was especially impressed that they used eggs from my hometown). Recently I stayed at newer luxury hotels in Karuizawa and Atami in a similar price range to this Hotel, but this historic Hotel clearly stands apart in terms of service and atmosphere. I hope to return with my family someday. Thank you very much.

The room was clean, spacious, and well maintained, and we were very satisfied with the high-quality Onsen water. Dinner was so lavish that we couldn’t finish it all. The assorted sashimi platter was outstanding. Breakfast was a half-buffet style, so we could choose what we liked, and everything was delicious. Above all, it was an excellent value! It truly made for a very satisfying trip. Thank you very much.

I started wanting to visit Yoron Island after discovering Pricia Resort Yoron. The Accommodation grounds feel like an overseas resort even though it’s in Japan. The ocean view from the second-floor Room—seen right over the bed—was breathtaking. I could also see the sea from the bath, which was so relaxing. I was amazed at how beautifully I could see both the sunset and the stars. It’s a perfect resort where you can enjoy both ocean activities and the pool. For guests, there’s also a cafe with unlimited alcoholic and soft drinks, and I used it many times. The breakfast buffet changes daily, but I was very satisfied to be able to enjoy local dishes such as Kurobuta pork shabu-shabu and keihan. We also rented a car; since we could pick it up at the Hotel and return it to the Hotel, there was no wasted time, and it was easy to rent a clean car. The staff spoke to us with warm smiles, took photos for us, and shared helpful information in conversation. It was exactly as wonderful as I had hoped. Thank you for taking such great care of us. I would definitely like to stay again.\nThank you very much.

From the moment we arrived at the pier, our escape from everyday life began. Everyone at the Accommodation was kind and welcoming, making our stay truly comfortable. Soon after arriving, we took a walk along the summit promenade and were uplifted by the breathtaking views. The Onsen was wonderful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meals. It was a stay that made us sincerely want to return again when we have the chance.

We stayed for two nights starting August 12 during the Obon holiday (with dinner included), and it was a wonderful Hotel with a calm atmosphere. The Room and pool were clean, and housekeeping was thorough. They also offer 24-hour room service, and we were able to request ice and other items. Other Reviews mentioned that breakfast is delicious, but not only breakfast—dinner was outstanding as well (the fried dishes in particular were incredibly good). If anything, I personally found dinner even better than breakfast. The staff’s attentiveness and cheerful demeanor were excellent in every respect. We traveled with children, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful care shown to them as well. Thank you very much.

Traveling with my dog, we enjoyed a wonderful view with Kofu Beach right in front of us (a crystal-clear sea popular with surfers; the shoreline has become narrower than in the past, but the ocean feels even more powerful now). It rained the next day, but when I visited before, the sun rose over the sea—highly recommended for a picture-perfect view. Next time, I definitely want to see the sunrise. The Hotel staff were very kind and even took a commemorative photo for us in the lobby, so we have a great keepsake. Thank you very much.
