We stayed here as a couple to celebrate a birthday. From the meals and baths to the Room amenities and Shuttle Service, everything was filled with hospitality, and they were flexible in accommodating our requests, making our stay truly enjoyable and happy. Some Accommodations offer inclusive bar drinks or well-equipped Rooms, but this place is on another level—we were able to enjoy an extraordinary sense of luxury. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much!

I chose to stay here because of its charming, atmospheric appearance, and I was sure my husband would like it too. Before booking, I called to ask about the room amenities. The head chef transferred the call to a female staff member, but her tone felt a bit harsh, and for a moment I hesitated about staying. However, once we actually arrived, that impression completely changed. Everyone we interacted with during our stay was very warm and welcoming, with genuine hospitality. There was nothing at all that concerned us. The entire property was spotless down to every detail, and the lounge was comfortable—we were able to relax at ease. Above all, the food was outstanding. Each dish was prepared with great care while considering harmony with soy sauce throughout, and you could really feel the chefs’ dedication and passion in every detail. Although the dishes made excellent use of soy sauce, they never left an overly salty aftertaste—even after finishing everything—and we enjoyed every bite until the end. Because dinner was so exceptional, I would have been even happier if breakfast had been a bit more substantial. Including not only the cuisine but also the atmosphere and overall comfort of the inn, it became a truly memorable stay. It’s a place I would definitely like to return to.

We had a wonderful time in a very clean room with excellent facilities. The meal was also delicious—a meat-themed kaiseki course that felt refreshingly different from typical ryokan cuisine. The location, in the Higashiyama area, was another highlight, making it easy to explore around Kiyomizu-dera in the morning.

This is the most satisfying Ryokan I have ever stayed at. The hospitality was beyond anything I could have imagined. The owner, the proprietress, and all the staff were wonderful people, and their warmth truly touched my heart. The meals, centered on seafood, featured outstanding ingredients and careful preparation—I was completely satisfied. What deserves special mention is the owner’s 100% buckwheat handmade soba: its aroma and smoothness were exceptional. I live in a prefecture known as a soba mecca, but I have never had soba better than this. Even the breakfast vegetables were all pesticide-free and homegrown, made with real care. The Onsen water was a reddish cloudy spring that felt gentle on the skin and relieved my fatigue. The building has a dignified presence with a sense of history. In every way it was outstanding—an Accommodation that makes you want to return again soon.

We arrived after climbing the slope of Mt. Daisen for a while in light rain and mist. Seeing the word “Church,” we hesitated for a moment, but when we opened the wooden lobby door, we found a charming space unified in an antique style—like stepping into a Kenji Miyazawa story. You can truly feel how much the owner couple and staff value and care for their guests. Once shown to our room, the fog gradually lifted, revealing beautiful views of Yonago’s cityscape in the distance, along with the Sea of Japan and Lake Nakaumi. The open-air bath on the terrace was pure luxury, soaking while taking in the spectacular scenery. Dinner was exceptional both in presentation and taste. We also enjoyed chatting with the dining staff, and the timing of each course was perfect. In this quiet natural setting, we spent blissful time that felt well beyond its price. A highly recommended Accommodation.

During my Kyushu trip in mid-June, I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights) in the “Chikurintei—Panoramic Open-Air Bath (Japanese-Western Room)” nestled within Mifuneyama Rakuen’s vast grounds. I stayed in the “Yamazakura” Room, which offered views of Mt. Mifune from the corridor and garden, and even had a private gate with direct access to Mifuneyama Rakuen. The open-air bath is a standing-style bath set among trees. It creates a unique floating sensation, and because the water pressure is applied evenly over the whole body, I felt less fatigue afterward. Being able to enjoy the garden and sky while standing also adds to the wonderful sense of openness. The Onsen water is clear and colorless—an alkaline simple spring—with an exceptionally gentle feel on the skin, so I never tired of soaking. The indoor bath is heated groundwater, but I also enjoyed it: the hinoki tub was very comfortable, and it didn’t take long to fill. What stood out most was the outstanding quality of dinner. The kaiseki course featuring seasonal local ingredients such as Takezaki crab immediately draws you in with its dashi—clear yet deeply flavorful, beautifully balanced. Each dish reflected the season in both taste and presentation: refined and truly beautiful. Beyond ingredient quality alone, there was a confident simplicity backed by real skill. Even on a Multiple Night Stay, every meal was flawless at an exceptional level. Simply superb—thank you for such a feast. Another highlight was visiting teamLab’s art installations at the affiliated Mifuneyama Rakuen Hotel on the same grounds (guests of Chikurintei can enter free). From the moment you step into the lobby, you’re struck by countless lamps evoking forest flowers and sunlight filtering through trees. The most breathtaking work was “Megalis in Ruins Bathhouse,” where digital projections of seasonal flowers illuminate massive stones rising throughout an abandoned public-bath space. When we visited, different scenes cycled continuously—twelve distinct visuals representing all months—and we became fully immersed for about an hour until they completed one full round late at night before closing. Also worth mentioning: the cold-brew coffee served in the lounge area was delicious—I refilled it many times and enjoyed it back in my Room as well. To everyone at “Oyado Chikurintei,” thank you sincerely for creating such a wonderful stay. I will absolutely return when I visit Takeo Onsen again.

We visited during the Obon holidays, and the drive was not crowded at all. The Accommodation is in a great location, just a short walk to Irago Cape Lighthouse. Right in front is Koiji-ga-hama Beach, and we were able to relax at the Accommodation while enjoying the beautiful ocean view. The proprietress, the young proprietress, and all the staff were wonderfully pleasant and welcoming. We have stayed at many Ryokan and Hotels, but we think this place is the best. The food was also excellent, and we were completely satisfied with everything. We would like to take good care of the hibiscus we received on our way home—thank you very much. We would definitely like to visit again.

This is a perfect Accommodation no matter when you visit. It was Kyoto in extreme heat, but thanks to your thoughtful care in many ways, we had a wonderful time. The pike conger is a must in this season; it is an additional-order dish, but highly recommended. We are planning to visit again in autumn.

The floors throughout the Ryokan were comfortable to walk on barefoot, making it feel like home. I completely understood why rolling suitcases are not allowed. I could really appreciate the owner’s attention to detail, and I thought it was wonderful. The location was excellent, and the meals were delicious.

Located roughly across the river from the Nagatoro Iwadatami (not within walking distance). This is a small, well-serviced Hotel surrounded by quiet woods with an atmosphere reminiscent of Karuizawa; though compact, it is well equipped and stocked with amenities. Dinner and breakfast are Japanese-style creative full-course meals, better suited to adults. Some Rooms feature private open-air baths, and there are also free private reservable baths, making it a good choice for guests who value privacy. The building is old, but filled with tasteful furnishings that create a charming ambiance. With only a few Rooms, the staff can provide attentive service to each party. Nights are very quiet, accompanied by the sounds of insects. There are two EV chargers (6 kW TerraCharge) in the guest-only parking area; if you drive an electric vehicle, it’s best to let them know in advance.

We stayed with our child, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail. They prepared futons for our child’s nap, and even provided a baby bouncer and a diaper trash bin, which made us feel comfortable and at ease throughout our stay. The meals were excellent, and we were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. We also loved that the soft drinks, beer, and other beverages stocked in the refrigerator were complimentary. Drinks were available after bathing as well, and we felt that every small service was well taken care of. All staff members were polite and attentive, making our stay pleasant from start to finish. This is a wonderful Ryokan where families with children can stay with peace of mind.

We stayed here as a couple to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It was an even more wonderful hotel than we expected, and our stay—from arrival to departure—was satisfying from start to finish. As someone originally from Nagoya, the TV Tower has been familiar to me since childhood, though it has been 25 years since I left the city. I was truly surprised and moved that such a beautiful hotel had been created here. From the warm welcome on arrival, every member of staff was attentive and kind, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. This time, we were upgraded to a larger room as a Diamond member benefit—what a lovely surprise! The welcome sweets were adorable and absolutely delicious. The view from the room was outstanding, of course. The art displayed throughout the hotel was also captivating, giving the entire property its own unique atmosphere. There were new discoveries everywhere we walked, and we thoroughly enjoyed the art tour as well. Searching for artworks together as a couple became a fun memory too (laugh). And the night view from the observation deck—an exclusive perk for guests—was truly breathtaking! We could take in all of Nagoya’s nightscape at once, making it an unforgettable moment. The hidden-door entrance leading up to the deck was incredibly stylish; its playful touch made us genuinely excited. Breakfast lived up to its reputation—delicious in every way—and we enjoyed a luxurious, happy morning while taking in the amazing view. My wife loved it too and said, “No.1 among all the hotels we’ve ever stayed at!” We’re truly happy to have found a hotel that satisfied both of us wholeheartedly. Thanks to everyone’s heartfelt hospitality, our 25th wedding anniversary became a wonderful memory we will never forget for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much to all of your staff for such an incredible experience. Whenever we visit Nagoya again, we would love to stay here again. We’re already looking forward to what kind of excitement awaits us next time!

This was my second visit this year, and it is soothing no matter when I come. The service strikes just the right balance of attentiveness and distance, the Room is spacious enough, and the meals keep evolving—overall, this Accommodation delivers a very high level of satisfaction. 　This time in particular, the breakfast—renewed since this spring—was outstanding. In contrast to the glamorous French dinner, it is a simple Japanese-style meal, but each dish was truly delicious. They have also changed how they cook the rice, and the finishing bowl of rice topped with dashi was superb. 　I’m already looking forward to being impressed again on my next visit.

With convenient access from Iseshi Station, we were drawn to this beautifully maintained private rental and stayed for one night as a couple. From arrival to checkout, every staff member was attentive and courteous. I am pregnant and there were some breakfast items I couldn’t eat, but they kindly accommodated my needs with flexibility. We also really appreciated the detailed guidance—not only about the history of Ise Jingu and how to visit properly, but also recommendations for nearby shops. (We had researched Ise in advance, but the staff’s explanations were by far the easiest to understand!) Next time, we’d love to stay again as a family of three with our child.

I stayed here to see the crystal-clear “Lake Biwa Blue,” and this hotel exceeded my expectations!! From the courteous service by the male front desk staff to the moment I entered my lake-view room—I was truly moved. The view spreading out before me made me exclaim, “Wow!” The room was impeccably cleaned, and the bed-making was five-star quality. With amenities like a massage chair, I could relax comfortably just staying in the room. Dinner featured a wonderful selection of dishes that were clearly not pre-made—each one reflecting the chef’s refined sense of aesthetics. I also enjoyed the seasonal tableware at a leisurely pace. After dinner, I took a walk along Lake Biwa, soothed my fatigue in the private family bath, and went to bed early. The next morning, I watched migratory birds flying over Lake Biwa and admired a beautiful sunrise, starting the day feeling refreshed. This is a hotel I would definitely love to visit again!! I caused you a great deal of trouble, but everyone spoke to me so kindly that it truly helped me. The price is almost too low! The in-room lotion was my favorite brand, there were two sinks, and both dinner and breakfast were outstanding. It was a shame there was no view from the open-air bath, but I found myself hoping—thinking from the owner’s perspective—that your service will continue just as it is so you won’t lose guests until the construction is finished. Even without a view from the window, this is a wonderful Ryokan. Thank you very much for everything.

[All-Inclusive] An Elegant Evening with an Authentic Teppanyaki Dinner and Free-Flow Drinks (Dinner & Breakfast Included) – Premium Twin Room Everything was wonderful. - Room: It was spacious, had a sofa, and we were able to relax comfortably. Having two sinks was also very convenient. However, I tripped on the step at the entrance to the washroom, so I hope this can be improved. - Dining: Every dish in the dinner course looked and tasted amazing. Drinks were free-flow with a glass-exchange system, so we enjoyed beer and sparkling wine. For breakfast, we could choose from three types of galettes, and they were delicious. Curry was also included, which would be great for those with a big appetite—our group doesn’t eat much, so we ended up feeling very full. - The lounge was also a wonderful space where we could relax comfortably. - There was also a large public bath—this was one of the main reasons we chose this property—and everything about it was excellent. We would definitely like to stay again.

Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality. We were thrilled to stay for the first time in a Japanese-style room with a jacuzzi, which is usually very hard to secure a Reservation, and my cousin and I were overjoyed. We could also admire the Mid-Autumn full moon through the large open picture window at the front—it was an unforgettable, moving moment. Throughout the property, we were impressed by the thoughtful touches everywhere: simple arrangements of wildflowers and fine pieces on display that we could enjoy as we walked to the restaurant and public bath. The moon-viewing décor in the lobby lounge, as well as the magnificent folding screen and large floral arrangement at the entrance, were all wonderful. Next time, I would love to visit with my husband and family, including my son and his wife. Thank you very much.
