Thank you for having me for one weekday night. I was told at check-in that the hotel was almost fully booked, but it was great to be able to check how crowded the large public bath and dining venue were, so I could use them comfortably without rushing. If I had to ask for one thing, having one more set of towels per person would have made the stay even more comfortable.

From this site, only smoking rooms were available, so I made a reservation for a smoking room. However, when I expressed my desire for a non-smoking room on the day, they checked the availability and I was able to stay in a non-smoking room. Depending on the room situation on the day, I was very pleased with the kind and flexible response. Thank you very much.

The price is very reasonable. So I didn’t expect too much, but I was satisfied with the meals, the bath, and the Room. It was also nice that an all-you-can-drink option is included.

I attended a farewell party in Susukino and arrived in about a 10-minute walk. There is also underground parking, and I think JPY 1,000 per night is reasonable. I would like to stay here again.

It was right near the station and faced the riverside. We stayed on the 5th floor, but we could still enjoy a great view of the city lights from the building at night. Next time, I’d like to stay on a higher floor. We took a walk along the river to Tenjinbashisuji 6-chome, and it was fun with so many different shops. There were plenty of places to eat, and we had a great meal. There’s also an Osaka Metro station near the shopping arcade, so it was easy to get back to the Hotel by subway. The access was very convenient.

I used to stay at Mercure quite often overseas, but since I travel less these days, this was my first stay in a while. The location is very convenient—just a short walk from Shimbashi Station and Uchisaiwaicho Subway Station. I believe it was originally an office building, later converted into an annex of a neighboring Hotel, and then rebranded as Mercure. Since the property is scheduled to close soon for renovations, I was grateful to be able to stay at a very reasonable rate. Perhaps because of the location and the brand, most guests were international, and many of the front desk staff were as well (they assisted me in flawless Japanese). With an interior design inspired by a “theater,” the whole place feels even more international. The Room design was also quite bold. There is a couch-like platform near the window where you can lie down and watch trains passing by (Shinkansen, Tokaido Line, Keihin-Tohoku Line, etc.). However, getting up onto it takes some effort, and opinions may differ on how practical it really is. Aside from the décor and these design choices, it felt like a slightly upscale Business Hotel. I’m looking forward to seeing what concept it will adopt after the renovation.

I stayed here for the first time to celebrate my birthday, and I’m glad I did—I had a very satisfying stay. At check-in, the gentleman who assisted me was extremely courteous, which made for a pleasant start to my trip. The Room was spotless, and I was especially happy with the well-stocked amenities. The shower in the Room was excellent. I had assumed it would be small, but there was plenty of space and strong water pressure—very satisfying. I also used the Onsen and the pool. The pool had a great view; it was a shame it was cloudy that day, but there were warmer areas in the water temperature-wise, which felt really nice. If I had to mention one thing, it would be perfect if they were directly connected to the Hotel with no need to go outside. I wanted to use the Onsen before checkout, but even though it isn’t far, you still have to walk outdoors—and I didn’t feel comfortable doing that right after waking up without makeup—so I gave up on that idea. Still, I had a fulfilling and worthwhile time overall, and I’m glad I chose to stay here.

We stayed in the Kiri Room. It had been renovated and was very clean. Since I was staying with my mother, who has back problems, the Simmons bed allowed her to rest comfortably. It would be helpful to have a chair in the Room. Doing makeup while standing was difficult for her... Because it was a weekday, we were able to relax in the large public bath as it felt like we had it all to ourselves. The water was silky and wonderful. However, the bath chair was too low and she struggled with it. A higher chair would be appreciated. We chose the Light Plan for meals, but it wasn’t light at all—we enjoyed a delicious meal and were completely full. We heard that many fireflies appear here, but it was a little early in the season so we couldn’t see them; we were also told that the cherry blossoms are beautiful in spring. We would definitely like to stay again.

Although my arrival time was past 10 PM, I received very courteous service. The Room was also impeccably clean, allowing me to have a comfortable stay. Recently, I often use Route Inn and am always satisfied with their service.

Despite being during the first half of Golden Week, it was under 10,000 yen per night with a large public bath and breakfast included, and the place was clean and comfortable. There is a dedicated parking area for motorcycles, but I wonder if they use car spaces when there are many bikes. It's an ideal location for exploring around Aso by bike, so I plan to stay here again next year.

It would be nice if there were facial cleanser available in the large public bath.\nIt would also be better if the water in the cold-water dispenser were a bit colder.

I enjoyed a beer as a welcome drink and another after the bath. After bathing, my skin felt silky smooth and my hair was wonderfully soft—everything was perfect.

We arrived about an hour later than planned, around 11:00 PM, but the staff kindly guided us to the parking area and we were able to park in the back. The parking lot is a bit narrow, but I thought that if the grass were trimmed, it might be easier to back up and park. Since we arrived late, we just needed a place to sleep, but we made a Reservation because we wanted a good breakfast—and it was great! Being able to bake and eat waffles ourselves was delicious. There weren’t many items, but it was satisfying overall. They also managed breakfast hours well to avoid crowding and gave us a tag with our preferred time. We never had trouble finding a seat, and there was always food available, which was nice. It’s a Hotel I’d like to stay at again next time.

Although we checked in late after watching Monbetsu Horse Racing, we were warmly welcomed. They upgraded our Room, and since it was our wedding anniversary, we were very happy. We had a very relaxing stay. Thank you very much.

It meets all the essential requirements I look for in a Hotel, so I’d like to give it full marks, but: Dinner is not served in the same venue as breakfast; it’s in a separate building. (You just move to the building right next door.) Isn’t the bath a bit small? It gets too crowded. (That said, it doesn’t seem especially small compared with other Route Inns, so it may just be that demand was underestimated.) So I’m deducting a few points. Still, these are minor issues if you keep them in mind, and I can definitely recommend it.

The meals were delicious, and the portions were just right. The Onsen’s changing area was immediately by the entrance, which made me a little uneasy at first, but it was about the size of a home bath and was well cleaned, so it was nice.

We stayed in a Room with a semi-open-air bath. It was very clean and stylish. The bath was incredibly relaxing, and since there was also a sauna in the Room, I got to try a sauna for the first time in my life. The cute little duck we could take home was also adorable. All of the staff were truly polite and kind, which really impressed us. Thank you very much. We would love to stay again when we travel to Kobe!

The accommodation may be old as mentioned in other reviews, and it might not compare to high-end places, but for me, this is the perfect onsen accommodation! I was completely satisfied from the moment I arrived. My companion was also delighted, and our first impression was excellent. After arriving, we used the indoor bath. Thanks to the limited number of rooms, we had it all to ourselves. The water quality was fantastic and even alleviated the pain in my right upper arm caused by neuralgia. As for dinner... while you can hear other guests' voices, each group has a private dining space where you can enjoy your meal without worrying about others. The rice was delicious, and every dish served exceeded expectations! For someone over 50 like me, there was plenty of food—it was honestly a challenge not to leave anything behind! But what impressed me most during dinner were the staff members who attended us; their warm personalities and smiles (even through masks) made dining an absolute pleasure. I’ve often avoided meals at accommodations due to past disappointments; however, this place completely changed my perspective with its exceptional food and outstanding service from staff members—so much so that I went to bed feeling deeply moved. The next morning before breakfast, we reserved a private open-air bath (though initially planned for before dinner but it wasn’t available). It turned out beyond expectations—a truly amazing open-air bath! Even large enough for three families together yet just two of us enjoyed it privately. Perhaps due to timing or seasonality—we saw swallows building nests nearby while hearing chirps from baby birds as parent birds busily brought them food—a serene experience indeed! Breakfast afterward left us equally satisfied despite having eaten so much at dinner—it’s hard not being full here! Having stayed at various accommodations over time only two—including this one—made me want return solely because they’re worth visiting again (the other being an unnamed place in Hirugami Onsen). In conclusion: If you're looking for affordable enjoyment combined with must-have private open-air baths—I highly recommend staying here! Lastly—to any staff member who assisted during our delightful evening meal reading this review—I hope these words bring joy your way!

I stayed for two nights for my mother's memorial service. Having used several accommodations in southern Akita Prefecture before and often being disappointed, I was hesitant to book a business hotel this time as well. However, due to the circumstances, I reluctantly made a reservation here after much searching. I had sent my luggage in advance via courier and requested it be placed in the room due to its weight. At the front desk, the staff's friendly and non-formal attitude provided a sense of reassurance. Upon checking into the room, I found it slightly spacious for a twin room in a business hotel. While there was some age to it, it was clean and comfortable enough for my stay. One minor inconvenience was that the room key was not automatic; you had to manually lock it when leaving (this could use improvement). Although there was an en-suite bath in the room, I opted for their public bath with artificial onsen water—it was quite relaxing! However, there were only five washing stations which felt cramped at times as soap or water from neighboring users would occasionally splash over. The women's section reportedly had just two washing stations, leading to wait times during use. The meals were surprisingly good—not your typical business hotel fare of rice balls and mediocre bread but proper dishes that changed daily even during multiple night stays! This variety kept things interesting and enjoyable throughout. To be honest, I initially expected this place to be like any other business hotel: small rooms with single beds crammed together and uninspired meals—but they completely exceeded my expectations. Since I'll need accommodations every one or two years when visiting this area (though there's no family home left), I've decided without hesitation that I'll choose this hotel again next time!
