We stayed at Kinugawa Onsen “Kizuna” from July 31 to August 2, 2026 (2 nights/3 days). We checked in with two adults, one child, and two Chihuahuas. I thought I had made a Reservation for a Room without an open-air bath, but due to what seemed to be a communication issue, we were instead shown to a Room with an open-air bath (a lucky surprise). Having an open-air bath in the Room meant we could enjoy the Onsen anytime, day or night, and our whole family had a truly happy time. For every meal (breakfast and dinner), we were able to dine in a private room (rather than the usual shared dining area). The menu changed each time, so we looked forward to every meal and headed there excitedly. Each dish was refined and absolutely delicious. With drinks as well, we felt completely satisfied after every meal. By chance, the Nikko Fireworks Festival was held on Saturday, August 8, and we were able to enjoy spectacular fireworks from our Room as well (another lucky moment). Above all else, what made our stay so comfortable was the attentive service from the manager and staff members—and their genuine hospitality in accommodating guests’ requests. That level of professionalism seemed to fill the entire Ryokan, allowing guests to relax completely and enjoy an exceptional experience. For three days, we fully enjoyed an extraordinary getaway both physically and mentally. It may sound childish, but it was such a wonderful Ryokan that I didn’t want to leave—I wanted to stay forever. Everyone in our family kept saying “Let’s come again,” so we will definitely return. My heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who took care of us at “Kizuna.” Thank you very much for everything.

The Room I had wanted to stay in for a long time was just as wonderful as I expected. This meal menu was very good!! If I may be picky, since there is plenty of hot pot, I personally think thinly sliced pork would be easier to eat. I was able to relax again this time. I will visit again.

As this was my first time in Okayama, I planned my trip mainly around sightseeing in Kurashiki and made a Reservation at Ivy Square. I ended up arriving late at night because work ran over, but the staff greeted me with “Mr./Ms. XX, we’ve been expecting you,” and their warmth truly touched me. The Room Facilities were all new and spotless, and I was more satisfied than I had imagined. Since we were staying in the Bikan Historical Quarter, my husband and I went for an early-morning run, and having a coin laundry on-site was incredibly helpful. (I’d be even happier if there were a few more machines.) I also asked several times for help arranging taxis, and each time they responded quickly and very courteously. My husband and I found ourselves saying every day, “Everyone at this Hotel is so friendly and always smiling—amazing,” and it quickly became one of our favorites. Next time we visit Kurashiki, we’ll definitely stay here again! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

I used this hotel for a business trip. It’s great that it offers easy access to the downtown area. The public bath is open until 1:00 a.m., so you can still make it even after going out for drinks and fun. Since I was only going to sleep anyway, having no bath or toilet in the room wasn’t an issue. In fact, I appreciated the lower price.

We stayed as a two-generation family of four. Since my mother has difficulty walking and a barrier-free Room happened to be available, we chose this Room. It was very convenient, on the same floor as the lobby lounge. The Room was furnished as shown in the photos, but some pieces felt a bit in the way for moving around. The toilet door was heavy, and for an in-room toilet it felt oddly like a hospital-style door. There was also a large mirror directly in front of it; the placement wasn’t great because it was on the wall by the toilet and could be seen from the sofa while resting, which I didn’t like. The Room itself is very spacious, which is great. You can step out onto the balcony through the bay window and enjoy fresh forest air, which felt wonderful. The view wasn’t great since we were on the 3rd floor, but in return, the view from the 6th-floor bath area was unbelievably beautiful—something I’d never seen before—and I highly recommend using the baths. The food offered many dishes, and because the lobby area is spacious, getting around during meals was smooth—it really felt like being at a resort. Drink servers were set up so you could get beverages in various areas, and overall service was excellent. We could feel thoughtful service at every moment and truly enjoyed all-inclusive stay. For activities, there seem to be table tennis, karaoke, tennis, etc. Overall, it felt like most guests were Japanese.

Although it was the rainy season and we were concerned about the weather, we had good weather and enjoyed a comfortable one-night stay thanks to the excellent hospitality throughout the property. The meals were also delicious, with well-crafted creative dishes. We felt this is a Ryokan we would like to visit again in a different season.

Thank you for taking care of us. I stayed for the third time on this trip, as I was visiting relatives’ graves. Mr./Ms. Hatta’s bath is always kept very clean. Just as instructed in the Room guide, I tried soaking in the tub for 3 minutes, washing my hair, then soaking again for another 3 minutes. The jacuzzi also relieved the fatigue in my lower back. I also tried the towel pack—my skin felt moist and plump, and even three days after returning home it still feels hydrated. For dinner, everyone was completely full from the kaiseki meal. For breakfast, I always have la-ho and beef curry. The local konnyaku, homemade yogurt, and tofu were delicious as always. The person who cooks the fried eggs is always kind and attentive as well. We also always enjoy feeding the carp. I would like to stay again when we come to visit the graves.

This was our first visit with three people, including an elderly guest. Thank you for offering to lend us a wheelchair as soon as we arrived. Our Room was a top-floor Japanese-Western style room with a great view, and being close to the elevator was very helpful. The meals were thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The only disappointment was the open-air bath: the stairs leading to it were too steep, and it felt so quiet around there that it was a little unsettling to go alone even during the day. All of the staff were extremely polite, friendly, and cheerful, and we truly appreciated your hospitality. Thank you as well for your consideration regarding the wheelchair. We think this Accommodation is very easy to use for families with small children and for elderly guests. We would like to stay here again when we visit Toba.

I booked this Hotel to attend a funeral. It was clean and conveniently located near the station. The twin beds were large and very comfortable. It was convenient to pick up what I needed from the lobby myself. However, the water pressure felt weak. Maybe due to a water shortage? Thank you for your hospitality.

One of my favorite Hotels, and I've stayed here several times! On the day of my stay, it was the last day of the summer festival, and the streets were bustling with people. It was lively and fun, so I couldn't help but join in! (Haha) The Hotel offered a drink service with beer available, as well as snacks like beans. I also appreciated being able to park my bike for free—thank you! The complimentary breakfast in the morning was also much appreciated. Looking forward to staying again!

The Room is spacious. The bathroom is also large and separate from the toilet. The linens are new and clean. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of items and is quite tasty. There is a 7-Eleven nearby, as well as affordable coin-operated parking, which is convenient. For that price, no complaints.

First of all, we truly felt the hospitality of the proprietress and the staff. We were convinced they genuinely think, “Thank you for coming,” from the bottom of their hearts. The Onsen is, of course, outstanding. Gazing at the rocky surface overflowing with natural hot spring water, you can feel an immense sense of history. The meals were also absolutely wonderful. We were completely satisfied with both the taste and the portions. Just when we thought it would be a classic kaiseki course, there were creative twists that made it even more enjoyable. The tableware was also exceptionally refined and inspiring. It’s true that features such as the age of the building and facilities, and having only stairs with no elevator, may come down to personal preference depending on your generation, but for us as a couple they were not drawbacks at all. If you’re visiting Kusatsu Onsen, we think this is an Accommodation you should stop by at least once.

This was our first visit for a birthday anniversary trip. Everything was outstanding. There are only 13 Rooms, and each is a separate, unique detached villa. The interior is thoughtfully designed down to every detail, spacious and comfortable, and the garden is beautifully maintained, making it a very relaxing stay. As Onsen lovers, we barely had time to rest—we fully enjoyed all seven private baths as well as the bath in our Room. There is no large public bath, but there are six private Onsen baths that you can use freely at any time. The water is free-flowing and feels wonderful. The meals were also beautifully presented with great attention to appearance as well as ingredients—decorated with orchids, stunning to look at, and very generous in portion size. From wagyu beef to lobster and shark fin, it was an incredibly luxurious and delicious dining experience. I recommend arriving with a big appetite. The staff’s hospitality and service were excellent too. We were truly glad we chose this place for our anniversary trip—it’s an Accommodation worth visiting even if you have to fly there. I’d love to come back in another season, and I’m also curious about other Rooms, so I’m sure we’ll return. If you’re unsure where to stay, I highly recommend this place.

We stayed here to celebrate our dog’s birthday. The Room was stylish, we could enjoy meals in the Room, the terrace was spacious enough for our dog to run around, and there was even a bath for dogs—best of all, we could stay together the whole time. The meals were surprisingly generous both dinner and breakfast. The staff were very attentive and also gave us sightseeing recommendations we could visit with our dog. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

Shizukatei True to its name, this Accommodation was wonderfully quiet and relaxing, far removed from any hustle and bustle, and surrounded by peaceful rural scenery. The road to the Accommodation was a narrow farm lane where passing other cars required care, but clear signs were placed at key points, and as we got closer, banners guided us along the route. Soba-an I had high expectations for the 80/20 soba served at dinner, but it easily surpassed them—it was exceptionally delicious. In addition, many dishes were prepared using plenty of seasonal vegetables, carefully cooked and beautifully presented. We enjoyed a wide variety of flavors and textures, as well as the visual appeal. Breakfast was also an excellent Japanese set meal with plenty of vegetables and a generous number of dishes. Oshu Hiraizumi Onsen The free-flowing natural Onsen water was a little hot, but we thoroughly enjoyed it together with the open-air bath. Finally, what impressed me most during this stay was the staff. From check-in to being shown to our Room; since dinner was served in-room, their smooth service and efficient delivery; after the meal, clearing everything away and then laying out the futons with equally outstanding efficiency; checkout was completed without any waiting time, and they even came outside to see us off afterward. This was our first visit during Golden Week as part of a family trip service day, and my family was truly happy and satisfied. We were deeply impressed by the professionalism of everyone involved.

This is my favorite Ryokan in Izu Kogen. It was my first stay in a while. This time, my eldest daughter—who usually works extremely hard as a nurse—was able to take an unusual long weekend and said she wanted to celebrate my birthday, so we decided to stay here. There are nine private baths, each with a different style. My daughter was thrilled and kept saying, “I’m going to try them all!” At dinner, the kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) I specially requested was huge, and she happily said, “Dad, this fish is delicious!” She smiled the entire trip. The one who felt most healed by this relaxing getaway was me—the father. The staff’s service was truly top-notch, and our stay was very comfortable. I’d love to visit again. Next time, I’ll probably get scolded if I don’t bring my younger daughter too.

We reserved two cottages for three generations. With so many requirements, it was difficult to find an Accommodation, and we decided at the last minute again this time. Thank you very much for kindly accommodating our requests. When we arrived, our first reaction was, “Wow, what a great place!” We checked in at the café building and received the keys, and when we went inside everyone exclaimed, “Wow—it’s so spacious!” We were all thrilled. We chose the plan with two meals and had BBQ for dinner. Everything was set in the refrigerator—just grill it or heat it up—and the portions were very generous. The in-room Onsen bath had silky-smooth water that left our skin feeling soft. It was also wonderful that all four adults could sleep in beds; we were able to rest comfortably. For breakfast, we ate at the café right in front of us—the freshly baked bread was incredibly delicious. Our family also visited the Onsen Facility across from us and said they loved it as well—the water there was silky too and felt amazing. Not everyone drank it, but I personally loved the coffee bags in the Room—they were innovative and tasted great. We really liked everything. It became a favorite for our whole family, and it’s an Accommodation we would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much.

First, I was truly impressed by the hospitality. Upon arrival, they greeted me by name, which made me feel very welcome. The Japanese-style room was spacious and spotless. There was even a homemade dessert in the refrigerator. The bath water quality was amazing—silky and smooth—and it left my skin feeling incredibly soft. My dry skin actually improved during my stay. Both dinner and breakfast were lavish, and I enjoyed a full feast. It honestly felt like the best hospitality imaginable. I definitely want to come again!

Despite being in Beppu City, this Accommodation is wonderfully quiet. Because it’s a small Accommodation, we didn’t run into anyone at all. We were told the building is old, but it has been fully renovated—the Room and baths were outstanding. Truly lovely. The amenities are well stocked, and there’s also a coffee machine. All drinks in the refrigerator are free as well. If your Room doesn’t have an in-room bath, you can use one of the three private baths. They are not by Reservation—if one is available, you can use it. Personally, I recommend “Nadeshiko.” The changing area is stylish and really lifts your mood! I was able to relax and enjoy it with my husband without any worries. Meals are served in your Room, which is rare these days. Everything was brought at just the right timing. Every dish was carefully prepared and genuinely delicious. We couldn’t finish everything, so they packed the yellowtail and wild vegetable rice for a late-night snack. And checkout is at 11:00! We’re grateful we could stay until the very last minute. I’ve stayed at some fairly nice Accommodations in Yufuin as well, but this Accommodation felt like a much better value and was far more comfortable. I highly recommend it for couples, married couples, and families with small children.

We stayed here for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The Accommodation was beautifully arranged, and all of the staff were wonderful. We were delighted that each person congratulated us on our anniversary. Every dish was delicious, with carefully prepared broth, and the tableware was lovely as well. My spouse and I truly enjoyed a happy time together. We also enjoyed the open-air bath many times. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
