This was my fourth stay. This place is exceptionally well-equipped for dogs, and everything is comfortable. When it comes to Facilities where you can stay with your dog, owners often have to compromise on something, but here both the meals and the baths were completely satisfying. The Hotel staff are kind, and it’s simply a very welcoming place. We stayed during the Obon holiday period, but it was wonderfully cool, and our dog—who had been worn out by the summer heat of over 35°C every day—was full of energy again. It’s truly an ideal summer retreat.

We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath overlooking the ocean under the fireworks festival Plan. The staff were very attentive, the food was delicious, and we fully enjoyed the many private open-air baths. There is also a beach and a park nearby, so our children had a great time. We would love to stay again.

Unfortunately, it rained, but we still had a wonderful stay. We stayed with a young elementary school child, and they were thrilled with the second-floor loft! They enjoyed it like a secret hideout. They also loved the handicraft experience, but since the daily Reservation slots seem quite limited, booking in advance is recommended. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we were very satisfied with the meals. One thing that personally impressed me was the Room bathroom. It had automatic hot-water filling and reheating functions, which felt rare for a cottage. It was quietly appreciated when traveling with kids (haha).

We have stayed with our dog at many luxury hotels in Japan and abroad, and this was honestly one of the very best—easily competing for No.1 or No.2. If I were to compare it overseas, it’s hard to say which is better: this or the Manor at Capella Singapore. It was a truly outstanding detached villa suite that stands shoulder to shoulder with the world’s top luxury hotels. We stayed for two nights from 9/20 with three family members and our dog. Because a typhoon was approaching, we arrived early, but the staff handled everything politely and smoothly and kindly escorted us to our room about two hours earlier than usual. Before our stay, I read every review on Ikkyu, and it felt like many of the past concerns had been addressed. I was also impressed by how sincerely you seem to take guest feedback. Since this two-night stay cost around JPY 1,000,000, I was slightly worried about whether it would truly feel worth the price—but the sense of exclusivity in the detached villa (No.100) exceeded all expectations. A dedicated parking space, an approximately 300 m² private dog run, a two-story/two-bedroom layout, in-room dining available only for this villa, complimentary champagne and drinks in the refrigerator, private dining rooms when using the restaurant—every detail felt thoughtfully elevated in a way that made perfect sense. The meals were especially exceptional—clearly a step above any hotel we’ve stayed at before. The matsutake course and clay-pot rice were superb, and on our second night you prepared an entirely different menu from the first. To truly experience RETONA at its best (ideally in this villa suite), I strongly recommend staying at least two nights. (I’m sure other rooms are wonderful as well.) It became an unforgettable three days worthy of my daughter’s 12th birthday and our dog’s 6th birthday. We are deeply grateful to all staff members for your warm hospitality—including your attentive email communication even before arrival. If I may mention just one small point: there was a spider web on the ceiling above the sink area. We fully understand that insects are common given the natural surroundings—and it was minor enough for us to remove ourselves—but checking higher areas as well would make everything even more perfect. Next time we will definitely return as a family to stay in the same room again—perhaps in spring or summer—to enjoy seasonal dishes in another time of year. This has become one of my favorite luxury hotels; thank you very much for everything.

We stayed in the “Annex Detached Villa” Japanese-style room (7.5 tatami mats) with a loft and an open-air bath. We enjoyed the view of the Pacific Ocean from the terrace and fully relaxed in the open-air bath. We also made good use of the large public bath and open-air bath in the main building. The kaiseki dinner was just the right amount and absolutely delicious. We also tried a tasting of three types of Tosa sake, all of which were excellent. We are grateful for the courteous service from all staff members. Special thanks as well to the staff member in charge of the Shuttle Service between the detached villa and main building, who thoughtfully warned us in advance about bumpy sections along the way each time. We took a walk around what felt like a private cape and rocky shore near the Hotel, enjoying it almost exclusively with hardly any other tourists around. It was a very satisfying 1-night, 2-day stay where we fully enjoyed Cape Ashizuri’s nature, ocean views, and great food. We would definitely like to stay again if we have another opportunity.

The view from the window was breathtaking, and we were able to enjoy a truly luxurious time. The sunset in particular was stunning—better than we had imagined. We would definitely like to stay again.

The complimentary drinks in the lobby lounge, the Room, the Onsen, the parking service, and access to the shopping mall were all excellent.

We stayed at Kinugawa Onsen “Kizuna” from July 31 to August 2, 2026 (2 nights/3 days). We checked in with two adults, one child, and two Chihuahuas. I thought I had made a Reservation for a Room without an open-air bath, but due to what seemed to be a communication issue, we were instead shown to a Room with an open-air bath (a lucky surprise). Having an open-air bath in the Room meant we could enjoy the Onsen anytime, day or night, and our whole family had a truly happy time. For every meal (breakfast and dinner), we were able to dine in a private room (rather than the usual shared dining area). The menu changed each time, so we looked forward to every meal and headed there excitedly. Each dish was refined and absolutely delicious. With drinks as well, we felt completely satisfied after every meal. By chance, the Nikko Fireworks Festival was held on Saturday, August 8, and we were able to enjoy spectacular fireworks from our Room as well (another lucky moment). Above all else, what made our stay so comfortable was the attentive service from the manager and staff members—and their genuine hospitality in accommodating guests’ requests. That level of professionalism seemed to fill the entire Ryokan, allowing guests to relax completely and enjoy an exceptional experience. For three days, we fully enjoyed an extraordinary getaway both physically and mentally. It may sound childish, but it was such a wonderful Ryokan that I didn’t want to leave—I wanted to stay forever. Everyone in our family kept saying “Let’s come again,” so we will definitely return. My heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who took care of us at “Kizuna.” Thank you very much for everything.

It was a wonderful stay. It was a hot day, but exploring around by cart while sweating was a lot of fun. After that, we used the Onsen in the Hotel building. There were two types of baths—a milky white one and another bath—and both were very relaxing. The complimentary drinks after the Onsen were also delicious, which made us happy. Dinner BBQ was tough because, as expected, there were lots of insects drawn to the lights and it was very hot. We did the cooking outside but ate indoors, which still took quite a bit of effort. However, the food tasted amazing and the portions were excellent! I would love it if you could offer some catering dinner options other than BBQ as well. Breakfast was beautifully presented, and we enjoyed it with both our eyes and our taste buds. The Room was well stocked with various insect sprays and repellents for bug prevention. The bath area, sink area, and toilet were all spacious and easy to use. Because the sofa is so large, it made the Room feel smaller—so I wondered if it might be okay without it? Though I understand it’s necessary when four people are staying. It was a pleasant surprise that a bag with dog treats and dog supplies was provided and we could take it home. It has been very useful as our walking bag. With such a large garden and wide wooden deck, it was hard to relax outside during the hot season, so we’d like to visit again in a different season.

I had always wanted to stay at NIPPONIA, and everything exceeded my expectations—the facilities, the hospitality, and the food. I especially enjoyed the unique concept of experiencing the town through NIPPONIA properties spread throughout the area.

We stayed as a middle-aged couple. We wondered if we might feel out of place, but it was a wonderful property with ocean views beyond the pool. Not only the pool, but also the two saunas each had their own unique atmosphere, and we enjoyed them both. The sunset and night views from the restaurant terrace were beautiful as well. Floating in the pool while gazing up at the blue sky was pure bliss. Thank you very much.

I had a very comfortable stay! There were a few minor housekeeping issues, but the Room and the Hotel overall were clean. I was very satisfied with the meals as well! I thought it might be nice to use even more of my favorite Nagano ingredients. I’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

Both the Facility maintenance and the staff’s service were excellent, and our family of five and our French Bulldog had a very comfortable stay. The local fish sashimi and hot pot were also outstanding. The somen noodles to finish the hot pot were especially memorable. What brand were they? They were so delicious that we want to eat them again.

I stayed for two nights after a long time. On the second night, I had the “Shinpu” course dinner at the restaurant. The food and service were excellent when I visited before, and that memory stayed with me—this time was just as satisfying. The dishes were truly delicious and outstanding, and the service was also impressive with wonderful hospitality. Maintaining such high quality in both cuisine and service must take great effort, but thanks to you, I was able to make another great new memory. Thank you to the chef and all the staff. Thank you as well to everyone outside the restaurant. I would love to stay again.

Last time, we stayed in January of last year. Even in the freezing cold, having a BBQ while sitting under the kotatsu on the balcony was so much fun. This time, we returned at the end of summer with our senior dog. It was the best season, and we fully enjoyed the black-water Onsen both indoors and in the large public bath. The staff’s greetings as we passed by, their willingness to help when we needed it, and the front desk team’s smiles and efficient guidance were even more pleasant than before. The thorough cleanliness may also be thanks to considerate guests… Wherever you go, you can truly feel how comfortable it is. This Accommodation keeps evolving for the better every day, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

We arrived about two hours late, but we were warmly welcomed with sweets and juice (homemade and absolutely delicious). Everything was wonderful—the sunset from the room’s terrace, the sky full of stars from the observation deck, and the meals. Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish all of dinner… we’re sorry about that. Since checkout was later than usual, we were able to try the Godzilla zipline at Nijigen no Mori and then come back to our room afterward, which was great. This is an accommodation I would recommend to friends. I’m truly glad that my first stay on Awaji Island was here—thank you very much.

Thank you for coming out to the car in the rain to help with our luggage. We were able to enjoy dinner at a relaxed pace in a calm atmosphere. I’m a light eater, so I’m very sorry for not finishing everything. When we visit Shiga again, we would love to stay at GUZU.

We checked in after doing some shopping at a nearby AEON. The Accommodation had everything we needed for cooking, including a pot and even a small hot plate, so it was easy to prepare meals (though you’ll need to bring your own seasonings). Complimentary drinks were also stocked in the refrigerator. Since it was our child’s birthday, we projected a birthday video with the projector and celebrated—it was a huge hit. The third-floor bath was spacious, and the Onsen water made it incredibly relaxing. The first-floor sauna was low-temperature, so my husband found it a bit mild, but I enjoyed taking my time and felt very satisfied. There was also a table on the balcony where we could relax, so we had breakfast there. Overall, everything was very clean, and having a washing machine was really helpful—everything about our stay was great. It’s an Accommodation we’d love to visit again.

I visited here as a child, and this time I came back to my hometown and stayed with my son and my parents. The Hotel has been beautifully renovated, so it felt quite different, but I enjoyed the nostalgic kawara soba and visited the lounge for the first time. We were able to relax together as a family, and even with just one night we were completely satisfied. The bath in the Room was great, and the private open-air bath was also amazing. The meals were delicious as well, and I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

I stayed for one night with my parents. The room was very spacious and stylish, yet it felt calm and relaxing. We enjoyed the sauna and unwound in the large bath. The bed was wide and very comfortable. I had read in a Review that breakfast portions were small, but for older guests it was more than enough, and we really enjoyed the delicious freshly cooked rice. I would love to stay again.
