We were completely satisfied with everything from start to finish. This time, we stayed to coincide with my eldest son and grandchild coming home. And on the day we checked out, we went ahead and made a Reservation for the following month to coincide with my second son coming home. In any case, we were completely satisfied with everything.

We stayed here to celebrate our beloved dog’s birthday, as he loves swimming. The Room was very clean and beautiful, and the pool was spacious enough even for a large dog to swim comfortably. There were also plenty of amenities provided, which was very convenient. The next day, the owner kindly offered us a late check-out, so our dog got to swim a lot and was completely satisfied. We would love to stay again.

We stayed for 2 nights in a 2-bedroom Room. Everything was impeccably clean, and even though I really dislike insects, I could enjoy the outdoor pool with peace of mind. At night we swam while looking at the stars; early in the morning we watched the sunrise from the rooftop; and in the evening we enjoyed a beautiful sunset—an even more wonderful experience than we imagined. The sea right in front of us was also shallow and crystal clear, and we were able to see lots of small fish. We had an amazing time by the ocean. There were plenty of drinks stocked in the refrigerator, and they even replenished them—we truly appreciated it. For breakfast, we used meal vouchers and had French toast from a food truck brought to our Room. It was delicious. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We would love to come back again!

We stayed as a family of three. We were extremely satisfied with every aspect of our stay—the atmosphere of the Facility and the attentive service from the staff. The French course featuring duck, which we had requested in advance, was carefully prepared dish by dish. Not only was it delicious, but the presentation and ingredient pairings were outstanding—truly showcasing the chef’s talent. Recently, we often choose “Sakagura,” and in any case it is wonderfully quiet. The entire building has a calm presence, allowing us to relax and enjoy unhurried time away from everyday life. As always, all staff members were kind and courteous. Their thoughtful attention to detail could be felt throughout our stay, and we were comfortable from start to finish. Once again, we felt this is a truly wonderful Accommodation where the cuisine, Facility, and service are all in perfect harmony. Thank you very much.

We truly enjoyed an elegant time as a couple while traveling with our pet. The Accommodation Fee was higher because we had a pet, but staying at the Hotel we had long dreamed of was wonderful, and we made the happiest memories. Our Room had an open-air bath and a bathing tub for dogs as well, and after filling it with five buckets of Onsen water, our pet looked warm and very comfortable. Before going to bed, we soaked once more in the Room’s open-air bath while watching a subtitled foreign film on the Room’s TV through the glass window, enjoying an extraordinary sense of luxury. We also loved the meals—Japanese cuisine is our favorite—and we were both very satisfied. I hope to visit again someday, and next time I would definitely like to stay in the main building where dogs are not allowed—those lingering feelings remain with me. Thank you very much for all your thoughtful care during this trip.

I stayed for one night in early September. It’s close to Jigokudani, and the Onsen was simply wonderful. There are many types of Onsen baths, and I really enjoyed them. We had the dinner and breakfast buffet, and I honestly wondered if it was really okay to have all-you-can-eat crab like this. The Japanese- and Western-style buffet was impressive, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you very much.

I recently stayed at Yoshiharu, which I had been looking forward to for a long time. After reading Reviews on various sites, I decided to stay here for my trip to Izu—and it was absolutely the right choice. While waiting to check in after arriving at the Ryokan, we were offered complimentary drinks and sweets, and then we were given a thorough tour of the property. With five private hot-spring baths, a large public bath with a sauna, massage chairs, and a lounge space available morning and night (soft drinks, coffee, café au lait, tea, etc.), there are so many Facilities that the guided tour helped us enjoy everything to the fullest. The food was of course delicious—the Koshihikari rice was excellent, and the abalone was outstanding!! As others have said as well, this is truly an Accommodation you’ll want to visit again in another season. I will definitely be back.

Everything was wonderful, and I was especially impressed by how spacious the private bath was. Of course, the bath in the Room was also very relaxing, the meals were delicious, and the staff were kind and attentive—I loved everything. If I could make just one indulgent request, I would appreciate it if you could offer more savory snacks in the lounge (I wouldn’t mind paying for them), rather than only sweet items.

The Onsen had wonderfully pleasant water with a silky, skin-clinging feel.

The Accommodation has a nostalgic, retro feel while still being very stylish and lovely. This time we stayed in the “Japanese Twin with Terrace” Room—tatami flooring, low beds, and a deck terrace. What impressed me most was how comfortable the bed was! I was told it’s a Nishikawa Muatsu mattress, and it truly felt amazing—I slept unbelievably well. The pillow was also excellent, and I completely fell in love with the bedding. I’d like to use the same one at home, so I would really appreciate it if you could tell me which type of Muatsu it is. The Onsen was wonderful as well. All three private baths had their own unique charm and were beautiful. The large public bath was also very relaxing—I ended up going in many times during our stay. As soon as you soak in the Onsen, your body warms up right away. The water feels soft, and your skin becomes moisturized and silky smooth. I also loved that bath towels were provided at the baths, so you can always use a clean one. Truly excellent therapeutic bathing. Unfortunately it rained this time—but because of that, we were able to take our time at the Accommodation, soak in the Onsen slowly, and enjoy doing nothing. We chose a Plan with 12:00 checkout, so we didn’t have to rush in the morning and could enjoy the Onsen until the very end. And then—the meals. Absolutely no complaints. Each dish was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. It was a meal where you can truly enjoy every course for what it is. And something I’ll never forget: draft Yebisu beer! After it arrived, the foam gradually rose up into a rich head—it looked delicious even before tasting. And when I tried it… it really was incredible. I honestly thought there aren’t many places where draft beer tastes this good—it moved me. This “Joshu Beef & Gunma’s Blessings / Three Free Private Open-Air Baths / 12:00 Checkout / A Nostalgic Holiday” Plan was absolutely perfect for me. Shima Onsen in the rain is wonderful too. Soak in the Onsen, eat well, drink well—and sleep incredibly well. In this charming retro Accommodation, I had an amazing time that relaxed both my mind and body. All of the staff were pleasant as well, and the overall atmosphere throughout the Accommodation felt very comfortable. We felt great from start to finish during our stay. The Onsen, meals, bedding—and above all else—the warm hospitality from everyone on staff. Everything felt so comfortable that this is an Accommodation I definitely want to stay at again.

I’ve stayed at many Accommodations, but this was the first one that felt absolutely flawless! I fell in love at first sight with the stunning rock bath scenery on YouTube and made a Reservation for the Yoimachi Room. The open-air bath was spacious, and the view from it was so breathtaking it nearly brought me to tears. The hot spring water was silky-smooth, and my skin felt amazing! The food was also delicious, and even the rice tasted exceptional. The nikujaga served at breakfast was so good that I’d love to ask—if you don’t mind—whether the soy sauce you use is light soy sauce or a type used mainly in Kyushu. The Room was wonderfully quiet as well, and I could truly relax. I definitely want to come back for a special occasion. Next year, I’ll visit one of your sister properties too.

This was a truly wonderful Accommodation. Our family takes trips to Onsen Accommodations that are doable from Tokyo for one night about 2–3 times a year, usually spending around 30,000–40,000 yen per person. My wife chooses the Accommodation each time, but lately none have been memorable or particularly appealing. This time, though, we finally found an Accommodation we genuinely want to visit again. Many of the staff are from Southeast Asia; when I asked, I was told they have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1 and also undergo a one-year training period. We never once had any trouble communicating. I previously lived in Thailand for about five years for work, so I already knew people from Southeast Asia tend to be even more serious and hardworking than many Japanese—but I was still impressed by just how high the standard was here, and we were able to spend a very comfortable time. These days many staff don’t wear name tags (perhaps due to measures against customer harassment), so I don’t know her name, but thank you sincerely to the woman in charge of our Room—she was wonderful and very thoughtful. The all-staff send-off after checkout truly moved me. As for the Onsen: honestly both the water quality and bath area were fairly standard, but everything was very clean. One thing I did notice is that it’s great not having to bring towels into the bath area; however, you still need to bring things like a change of underwear or your phone. In the end we put them in a plastic supermarket bag out of necessity, but I would have liked a larger drawstring pouch (like those often provided at other Onsens) to be available in the Room. Also, my wife said she felt scared because it was dark on the way to the large bath as well as inside it. Lastly, we felt the air conditioner noise was slightly loud—just mentioning it in case. And the meals were outstanding! The balance, portion size, and taste—everything was excellent with nothing to complain about. Because I’m big-built I eat quite a lot and meals at Accommodations often aren’t enough for me; this time I shared small portions of my wife’s meal with our son as well and still felt about 90% full. While breakfast can be disappointing at many places these days, breakfast here was also solid—and it wasn’t that thin crispy dried horse mackerel you often see everywhere else either (which was nice). Above all else: the wasabi was delicious! Being able to get refills freely made it even better. In any case, we definitely want to come again—thank you very much.

We stayed here as a couple to celebrate a birthday. From the meals and baths to the Room amenities and Shuttle Service, everything was filled with hospitality, and they were flexible in accommodating our requests, making our stay truly enjoyable and happy. Some Accommodations offer inclusive bar drinks or well-equipped Rooms, but this place is on another level—we were able to enjoy an extraordinary sense of luxury. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much!

This was my second stay. I love Onsen and visit many hot spring areas, and the water quality at Sakakibara Onsen is excellent. I stayed in a room with an open-air bath, but the large public bath in the Accommodation is outstanding. Although it is a low-temperature bath, you can also soak in the natural spring source, and it leaves your skin smooth and silky. During the day, the day-use bath is open to non-staying guests as well. The age of the Facilities cannot be denied, but even so, it makes me want to come back again. This time I visited during firefly season. The Accommodation’s bus took us to a viewing spot that only locals would know. It seems there were fewer fireflies this year due to a typhoon, but it still felt more than enough. The guide was very kind and made it an enjoyable experience.

We had an incredibly fulfilling stay. From the interior and exterior design to the furniture, decor, fixtures, amenities, lawn, and open grounds, this was a wonderfully comfortable Facility where you can feel the attention to detail everywhere. The interior is unified in a calm design, with very high ceilings that create an airy sense of openness, allowing us to fully enjoy a special time away from everyday life. The vanity area and bathroom were especially spacious and impressive—made with high-quality materials and kept impeccably clean down to every corner. The amenities also felt thoughtfully chosen; for example, Aesop hand soap was provided at the sink. All essential cookware and appliances were available, so we could stay comfortably without any inconvenience. We even enjoyed handheld fireworks in the garden. The views of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps were also stunning—scenery you could gaze at for hours without noticing time pass. Most memorable of all were the wood-fired sauna and cold plunge bath. The wood-fired sauna was exceptional—enjoying it while feeling the flicker of flames, hearing the crackle of burning logs, and breathing in the scent of wood was truly special. Unlike an electric heater, it had a gentle heat that warmed us slowly from deep within and helped us relax completely. A large amount of sauna stones were thoroughly heated, so we could also enjoy pleasant steam from löyly. It’s an ideal setup that I would highly recommend even to dedicated sauna lovers. They added ice to the cold plunge bath multiple times for us, so we could cool down properly. Paired with the wood-fired sauna, it was perfect—we fully enjoyed every session. In the evening we enjoyed a BBQ, and we really appreciated that the owner prepared everything—from lighting the fire to setting everything up. On top of that, we received a generous gift of fresh vegetables grown by his wife. They were all rare varieties you don’t often see day-to-day, and you could feel careful attention not only in each vegetable but also in their labels and packaging. We tried them right away at our BBQ—especially the eggplant, which was unbelievably tender and delicious. Beyond how wonderful both the Facility itself and its location are, we were truly moved by the owners’ thoughtful hospitality as well. In this extraordinary setting—with beautiful views, a wood-fired sauna experience like no other،and BBQ—we spent a luxurious yet deeply comfortable time here. We would love to stay again. This is a well-established, reliable Hotel in Amami. There is an Onsen on the top floor, and soaking in the open-air bath while taking in a panoramic view of Naze Port washes away your fatigue. From your Room, the ocean is right in front of you. The sea below has coral reefs, and tropical fish—even Nemo and friends—swim by. The staff are kind and always make you feel comfortable, so it feels like coming home. Whenever I visit Amami, I spend one night here and have dinner at Yani. Resting while looking out over Amami’s sea from your Room feels wonderful, and in the morning you can relax over breakfast with views of the garden and ocean—this is a Hotel that leaves you feeling refreshed.

A few days before my stay, I emailed to check on the impact of the heavy rain, and received a courteous reply with detailed information, which reassured me and allowed me to stay with peace of mind. The dining staff casually shared helpful updates, and the next morning provided even more detailed information. Every staff member was pleasant without being overly formal, making my stay very comfortable.

We decided to come on short notice, and once again we received warm, attentive hospitality, just like last time. We were able to relax in the lounge with drinks, refresh in the stone sauna in the morning, and enjoy the open-air bath in our Room many times, which helped us unwind. It was so good for a third visit that we felt this is the only Ryokan nearby where we can truly relax. We will definitely visit again.
