The Room was more than sufficient for spending the night alone. The bed was spacious, and the mattress was supportive—not too soft or prone to sinking—so it was extremely comfortable. The bathtub is quite compact. For some reason, the elevator hall on the second floor has no ceiling and was exposed to the rain, so it was wet. It wasn’t an issue with light rain, but it could be difficult in heavy rain. Since the microwave is located in the breakfast service area, it had been put away by morning. They warmed up my convenience-store soup in the kitchen, but I was told not to eat it at the breakfast venue and to eat it in my Room instead. They also stored my luggage even before check-in, which I really appreciated because I didn’t have to carry a large bag around. Thank you very much.

Although I have stayed here several times, it felt like there were fewer breakfast menu options than before. It seems that the selection varies by Route Inn location.

Yamagata is already Akita Prefecture. (The Hotel is not bad.)

Although the building is old, the location is great, the Room was clean, and best of all, it was a good value for money.

Used for a memorial service. I think it is a good Business Hotel. The vegetables at the restaurant are delicious.

Whenever I visit Kochi, I always stay here. The Room was clean and well kept, and breakfast was a Japanese set prepared individually; it was tasty and the portion size was just right. One small concern was that the bathtub plug chain was wrapped tightly around the faucet, which made it difficult to remove. I understand this may be unavoidable for a single Room, but I would be happier with a TV with a larger screen. I will stay here again.

We stayed during the three-day weekend in November with our family of four and two dogs. The spacious bath, delicious meals, and nearby attractions like the Yamanakako Autumn Leaves Festival made our trip memorable. We also enjoyed stunning views of Mt. Fuji. My wife and I stayed here together. The Room was spacious and clean, and we were able to relax comfortably. Even after walking around sightseeing all day, we could unwind properly in the calm atmosphere, and we were very satisfied. What especially stood out was the complimentary lounge available to guests. Not only could we enjoy free draft Sapporo beer, but there were also light snacks provided—it was so well stocked that we couldn’t believe it was free. It really felt like Sapporo and greatly enhanced our stay. It was also very convenient that there was a place to store luggage such as suitcases. We could sightsee hands-free even after checkout, so we were able to enjoy the city of Sapporo right up until it was time to leave. On the other hand, the only disappointing point was the showerhead. The water pressure in normal mode was too low and a bit difficult to use, but when switched to massage mode it became too strong, so there wasn’t a comfortable setting in between. If it were up to me, I would replace the showerhead without hesitation. For example, switching to something like the “SANEI Ultra Fine Bubble Shower Head mitos,” which can be purchased for around 10,000 yen, might significantly improve guest satisfaction. That said, aside from the shower everything else exceeded expectations. The complimentary lounge and luggage storage are thoughtful services that guests truly appreciate. My wife and I had a very comfortable stay, and it was also an excellent base for exploring Sapporo. I hope the showerhead will be improved, but even so, I would like to stay here again next time I visit Sapporo.

The front desk staff welcomed us with exceptional kindness. The Room was spacious and spotless, with a breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Toya. In the private open-air bath, we could soak in the Onsen while fully enjoying the spectacular scenery of Lake Toya. The open-air bath in the large public bath on the top floor was at the perfect temperature—never too hot—so we could relax without having to step out repeatedly. Looking down over Lake Toya from the infinity bath, we felt completely refreshed in both body and mind; it was truly outstanding. The dining was also excellent. The dinner buffet featured an abundant selection of fresh sashimi and nigiri sushi, including scallops, sea urchin, and shrimp. There were also hot dishes such as grilled crab legs and steak—all you can eat. Breakfast offered a wide variety of seafood as well, including raw surf clams and sweet shrimp, and our whole family was thoroughly satisfied with the meals at “Kohan no Sumika.” I have stayed at more than 70 Japanese Onsen Ryokan so far, but “Kohan no Sumika” is one of the few Hotels that I can say I absolutely want to return to. Thanks to the warm hospitality of all the staff, our family enjoyed an unforgettable and perfect stay. Thank you very much. 2. Business Courtesy Version (more formal and polite tone) This is a flawless Onsen Resort Hotel. I stayed at “Kohan no Sumika” on August 30. The front desk service was extremely courteous, and the Room was spacious, impeccably clean, and well maintained. From the guest Room we could enjoy sweeping views of Lake Toya, and in the private open-air bath we were able to savor both the Onsen experience and the beautiful scenery of Lake Toya to our heart’s content. The top-floor open-air bath had a wonderfully comfortable temperature that allowed for a long soak without overheating. Relaxing while looking down over Lake Toya from the infinity Onsen made for an exceptionally luxurious moment of calm. Dinner was highly satisfying: along with plentiful fresh sashimi and nigiri sushi—such as scallops, sea urchin, and shrimp—there were also all-you-can-eat options like grilled crab and steak. Breakfast likewise included seafood such as raw surf clams and sweet shrimp, leaving our entire family very pleased with its quality. Although I have stayed at more than 70 Japanese Onsen Hotels to date, “Kohan no Sumika” is one of those rare outstanding Accommodations that I would very much like to visit again. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for everyone’s warm hospitality; thanks to you all, our family enjoyed a truly perfect time together.

I stayed in Sapporo mostly by myself throughout June, and close to the last day my family of three stayed here as well. This used to be New Otani Sapporo, and the Room is spacious in a classic city-hotel style and has been beautifully renovated, so I had no complaints at all. Breakfast is also wonderful—you can enjoy as many of the famous pancakes as you like, and it’s a great way to start the day feeling happy. I’ve seen some comments about the age of certain bathroom fixtures, but on the higher floors I was soothed by the mist setting with a ReFa shower head. On lower floors, it’s a two-handle mixer tap type; however, perhaps because of that, the water pressure is extremely strong and you can fill the bathtub quickly. Combined with the shower head, I could even massage my legs in the shower, which personally left me very satisfied. I plan to stay here again whenever I visit Sapporo in the future.

The Onsen and the food were both wonderful. The staff were also very kind. The building is quite old, but it was thoroughly cleaned and kept very tidy. The Okami theater show was a lot of fun. It wasn’t a one-woman performance by the Okami; it was a show created together with many people. Many young performers around 20 years old also came on stage and showcased various acts with the Okami. It felt like they had practiced a great deal, and we were told they are all students from Yamaguchi University. We also heard that senior students teach the acts to juniors, passing them down over time. This is a Ryokan loved by the local community. It was an amazing, one-of-a-kind trip. I would love to visit again. It was my first trip to Yamaguchi, and it became a truly wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

I stayed here for a live show in Sendai. It’s close to the station, the staff were friendly, the Room was clean, and breakfast was free with a great selection. I’ll definitely stay again. Thank you!

It was a convenient Hotel, close to Hamamatsu Station and Act City. The eel rice bowl at breakfast was delicious. Since we stayed with three people by adding an extra bed to a twin Room, the Room felt small, but it was a clean Hotel. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We stayed at the Onsen with dinner and breakfast included, and it was a great value. There’s a supermarket right in front that stays open late, so you can easily go buy anything you need. Dinner was at Ichinomatsu, and the sashimi and hot pot were filling and delicious. I was happy to have horse mackerel for breakfast, but it was a bit disappointing because it was cold when I expected it to be warm. The Onsen also has a sauna and felt great, but since it’s only open until 11:00 p.m., the timing was pretty tight. It was a Japanese-style room, but it also had its own toilet and washbasin area, so it felt spacious and we could relax comfortably.

This time I stayed for three nights and made a Reservation here after researching various options. It was a charming, classic Hotel. Some parts of the Room felt old, but some items had been updated. Although it was a smoking Room, there was an air purifier, and even though it was a single Room, it felt spacious. The front desk staff and the cleaning staff were both excellent. Even though I put my things outside the Room just before going out, the cleaning staff responded quickly—thank you very much. I would like to stay again if I have the chance. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

This price was a great deal with next-day passport included. The Room was spacious and nice, but it was a bit disappointing to find hair in the washbasin.

To avoid Golden Week traffic on our trip from central Tokyo to the Hokuriku region, we drove to Yamanashi late at night and stayed here overnight. We booked two Rooms for our family of four, and the price was very reasonable, which really helped our budget. It’s a typical Business Hotel, but it offers standard amenities and breakfast, so there were no inconveniences during our stay. There is also a convenience store nearby, which was handy.

Within walking distance of Tomari Port, it’s an ideal location for those heading out to the Kerama Islands. There’s nothing to fault—everything from the cleanliness of the Room to the front desk service is excellent. The thoughtful touches, such as complimentary drinks, are impressive, and having a pool is another big plus. Personally, I highly recommend it. It feels like there are many international guests and a lively crowd. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it may not suit those who prefer a quiet Accommodation.

The perfect Accommodation for anyone looking to enjoy plenty of Beppu’s hot springs! Located right in front of the station, it makes planning your Onsen-hopping easy, with excellent access wherever you want to go. The Room amenities are also great, so you can sleep soundly and recharge after a day of Onsen hopping. Both dinner and breakfast are delicious and will fully restore your energy for the day! (The freshly fried toriten at dinner is amazing!) Make this your base for visiting hot springs, and you’ll be able to enjoy Beppu to the fullest!
