I stayed here during a trip from Kanagawa and stopped by Kurokawa Onsen. Everyone, including the manager, provided outstanding hospitality, and I had a very comfortable stay. I also enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, and the creative dishes were memorable. I was pleasantly surprised by the chawanmushi with shiratama dumplings and cheese—it was delicious. The horse sashimi was exceptional. When traveling in Kumamoto, I would like to stay at Wakaba again.

We keep a parakeet at home and were looking for an Accommodation where we could stay together. There are very few Accommodations that allow pets, and even after searching several places, many do not allow parakeets. At Renrin INN, there is a separate annex—detached Rooms—and we were able to bring our parakeet’s cage and stay there. (I’m not sure about the main building, though.) The Room was also clean and spacious, making our stay very comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The staff were all friendly and easy to talk to. The Onsen is used in turns by guests, but by going at an off time, we had it all to ourselves while bathing and could relax in the large open-air bath. This was our first time staying overnight in Yufuin, and we were very satisfied to have found such a great Accommodation where we could stay with our parakeet.

The open-air Onsen bath in the Room was truly relaxing, and I used it many times. We chose the small-portion Plan for meals, but it was more than enough to leave us completely full. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The thoughtful touches unique to a small Ryokan—such as a toothpick holder made from chiyogami paper—made the hospitality genuinely comforting. The proprietress and all staff were also very pleasant. Also, since I have trouble with my legs, I stayed in a barrier-free Room, but the shampoo and other amenities in the shower area were placed quite low. If possible, I would like them to be set a little higher. Thank you very much.

This was my first time visiting Kannawa Onsen. The hot spring water was simply amazing. Miyukiya was wonderful. It’s a place I’ll want to visit again and again.

On my first visit to Shima Onsen, I had planned to arrive early and do some sightseeing, but due to heavy rain, I ended up waiting until check-in—thank you very much for accommodating me. The Room was very clean and more spacious than I expected. The in-room bath was at the perfect temperature, and I used it many times, which helped relieve my everyday fatigue. I made a Reservation with No Meals Included, but the à la carte dinner was also delicious, and the service was courteous. With an 11:00 check-out, you can take your time, and since you just return the Room key and leave, it feels casual and easygoing—perfect for someone like me who isn’t comfortable with the formal hospitality and send-offs typical of long-established Ryokan.

Just as rumored, we enjoyed a hearty crab feast at this Accommodation. The food was excellent, and the staff were very kind.

The meals were delicious, and the bath was pleasantly warm so I could soak for a long time. My skin felt silky smooth.

After watching a baseball game, we extended our trip to enjoy Kinosaki Onsen and the Amarube Bridge sightseeing. Since my friend and I both love crab, we stayed with the Kasumi Crab course at this accommodation. When I informed them in advance by phone that my friend had difficulty walking, they kindly prepared a barrier-free room for us. The food was delicious. They also arranged a taxi for us, and the staff serving meals were very attentive. The onsen was excellent as well. Although I was initially worried due to some negative reviews, we had a pleasant stay overall. The area in front of the ryokan was quiet enough to relax comfortably.

The locally caught fish dishes were very delicious. Since it wasn’t buffet-style, we were able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. The open-air bath had a milky white sulfur spring, with a great atmosphere, and it warmed us up thoroughly. It’s far even from Aomori, but it’s a hidden gem.

We stayed for three to four days from the holiday period into the weekdays. We informed them in advance about a food allergy, and they kindly accommodated us. They seem to be running the place with a small team, so they looked very busy, but all the staff were cheerful, kind, and served us with smiles. The private family bath in the annex for day-use visitors was a nice change of pace, but the slightly hot Onsen in the main building was wonderful. We would like to visit again if we have the chance.

Very satisfied. The hostess was friendly, and the food was extremely delicious. The Onsen town had a charming atmosphere, was quiet, and allowed for a relaxing stay.

We stayed for one night with No Meals Included just after the Obon holiday season. The location is almost in the center of the Onsen town, right next to Ichino-yu, making it perfect for visiting the public baths and strolling around town. Our Room was on the 3rd floor facing the Onsen street, with two beds. Some details felt a bit dated, but overall it was clean and pleasant. You can clearly hear the sound of people’s geta outside, but I found it atmospheric and didn’t mind much. During summer vacation in Kinosaki Onsen, fireworks are launched from 21:00, and it was wonderful to be able to see them from our window. There are two indoor baths: the left one is quite lukewarm and may be good for soaking for a long time. The right one is a bit hotter and also has a cold bath, which I really appreciated! Since Kinosaki’s public baths don’t have cold baths, this was especially welcome for me. The water also pours like a waterfall from a lion-shaped spout (maybe), so you can let it hit your stiff shoulders like a water massage. For parking, the Ryokan’s information points to nearby paid parking lots, but there is also a municipal lot very close by that is cheaper at JPY 1,000 for 12 hours. However, when we arrived there was a waitlist line up, so we used “Kinosaki Motor Pool” listed in their guidance (JPY 1,700). The municipal lot is cheaper and allows longer stays, but if you take your car out during your stay you’ll be charged again each time—so if you plan to drive out for shopping or similar errands, Kinosaki Motor Pool may be more convenient. The young proprietress was very friendly and charming (according to my wife), and we enjoyed chatting with her. One small disappointment was that the air conditioner in our Room didn’t seem well cleaned—the airflow smelled slightly musty and there was visible dirt around the vent. A different Accommodation we stayed at last year had a dirty air conditioner too; maybe places where each Room has its own unit tend to struggle with keeping up with cleaning? Also, I didn’t notice while we were using toilets at the public baths during our outings—but when I used our toilet the next morning, the washlet function wasn’t working properly. Overall we were very satisfied, and we’d like to stay here again when we visit Kinosaki next time.

I requested the Shuttle Service, and everyone was very kind, including on the phone. It was my first time trying lukewarm bathwater, but afterward my skin felt smooth and I stayed warm—it was a pleasant surprise. Dinner was delicious and far more than I could finish; I wished I had asked for a smaller portion. For breakfast, the miso soup and rice were especially good. The place had a comforting mix of nostalgia and warmth, and it was truly relaxing.

The meals were very generous, and I felt sorry that I couldn’t finish everything. The Onsen was a comfortable, easy-to-enjoy temperature.

We had a wonderful family trip during the New Year. The meals were incredible, with an abundance of crab and sashimi, followed by tempura and chawanmushi just when we thought we couldn’t eat any more! The final dish of zosui was absolutely perfect. The private baths at night allowed our family to relax together comfortably. The staff provided such warm and welcoming service that it felt like returning home. A special thank you to the driver who kindly took us on an outdoor hot spring tour despite the heavy snow! We will definitely visit again.

We stayed with two children. Toys were prepared in our Room, and the kids had a great time. The temperature of the large public bath at the Accommodation was just right, and even infants could bathe without any issues. We booked the No Meals Included Plan, but we had dinner at the dining area on the second floor. High chairs for children were available, and there were plenty of menu options that kids could enjoy. The staff at the Accommodation were very warm and welcoming, which we truly appreciated.

These days, it’s rare to find an Accommodation without foreign staff, and the meals here are very carefully prepared using local ingredients. There are many baths, and they will even let you reserve a large open-air bath that was apparently once used as a mixed-gender bath. It’s an excellent open-air bath and highly recommended. There is also an open-air bath a short walk from the Accommodation, but I was told it can only be used during daylight hours because bears have been seen in the area. The building has the feel of an old Ryokan and shows some wear in places, but it is kept clean and well maintained. The resident cat has changed over time; when I asked the proprietress, she brought her out on a leash. Perhaps because she is well loved, she likes people and will purr even when meeting you for the first time.

Although the building is very old, everything was thoroughly cleaned throughout, and I had a very pleasant stay. All of the staff were so polite it almost made me feel bad. There are also staff members who speak excellent English, so international guests should have no trouble. The meals were generous—perhaps a slightly smaller Plan could be offered as well. The open-air bath, the large public bath, and the in-Room bath (a bit small) all had wonderful water quality. I stayed for two nights from Friday, and quite often it felt like we had the baths to ourselves. For international guests, there seemed to be some confusion about where to take off slippers and how to use the small towel. If you could provide explanations not only in words but also with simple illustrations and written instructions, I think everyone could enjoy bathing more comfortably (for example: dry your body before returning to the changing area—sometimes the floor ends up quite wet). It’s about a 10-minute walk from the station, very quiet, and perfect for relaxing. This is a Ryokan I would like to visit again to support them going forward. On departure they kindly prepared to drive me to the station, but since I still had time before my train I decided to walk instead—and I was surprised when they even apologized for that. Everyone was truly kind. Lastly, the attendant in charge of my Room was friendly and helpful, leaving me with an excellent overall impression. Thank you very much for taking care of me.

The Room was spacious, bright, and clean, and we were very satisfied. We stayed as a group of six across two generations including children, and the 2LDK layout was perfect. Since two of us are smokers, we were also able to relax and smoke in the Room, which made everything even better. We would like to stay again. We checked various sites, but in the end IKYU offered the best price and felt the most reliable.

Both dinner and breakfast can be served in a private dining room. Dinner features a delicious artisan course meal made with local ingredients. Every staff member was wonderful, which made our trip even more satisfying. At breakfast, they noticed that one of the four of us is left-handed and thoughtfully set out left-handed chopsticks and a chopstick rest—truly professional attention to detail. The Facility is also well maintained and spotless. The farewell was heartfelt, and our children were moved as well. I felt this Hotel has an exceptionally high level of staff. I was surprised to receive first-class service at such an affordable rate. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.
