We had a very relaxing stay. We’d love to come again, but there aren’t many sightseeing spots nearby, so it’s perfect for a quiet, laid-back getaway. Thank you for your hospitality.

I used the all-you-can-drink Plan with a gasoline subsidy voucher. The Onsen had a noticeable sulfur scent and felt like a true hot spring. Since you can also enjoy an Onsen tour at the sister Hotel, I was able to enjoy both. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, and everything was very tasty. Above all, the way they poured the beer was fun and unique. There was a long line for the main steak dish, which took some time, and while the drinks in the all-you-can-drink option were good, when orders overlapped with those from paid Plans, I often had to wait for them to be served. The guest Room and bathroom areas were clean, so I thought it was very good overall.

I have stayed here many times. At a typical Ryokan, I’m a light eater, so the meals served are often more than I can finish. For that reason, wherever I go, I stay without meals included. I eat at nearby restaurants and order only what I want and can finish. It’s cheaper and makes for a more relaxed trip. From that perspective, Kameya Rakkan is the best Hotel. Of course, the staff are kind as well, and I appreciate their attentive service. I will stay again.

The Room and Facility are slightly old, but the layout was satisfactory. The large public bath and breakfast buffet deserve five stars. It would be perfect if there were additional outlets on the side. Great value for money!

I was finally able to visit “Ura-Kusatsu Tou,” a place I’d been curious about for a long time. Located in the Ura-Kusatsu area, just a short distance from the bustle of Yubatake, the moment you step inside you’ll find a beautifully curated space where traditional craftsmanship and modern design come together. Every corner of the Accommodation is picture-perfect. From interiors accented with traditional crafts to warm, inviting lighting, you can feel the attention to detail throughout. It was an Accommodation with a calm atmosphere—perfect for an adults-only getaway. Relax from the core with “Jizo Gensen” The greatest highlight here is, of course, the Onsen fed by “Jizo Gensen.” Among Kusatsu’s many hot spring sources, “Jizo-no-Yu” is said to be rare due to its low output. Its gentle feel on the skin and subtle milky hue were wonderfully soothing, and I could truly relax from deep within. Not only in the large public bath but throughout the building, there are thoughtful touches that create a sense of gentle “sway,” making it feel as if everyday fatigue simply melts away. Dinner and breakfast were served in a serene dining space. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious enough to make you happy with each bite. Breakfast also felt luxurious: colorful small plates lined up alongside freshly cooked rice. An Accommodation where you can fully enjoy both the Onsen and the cuisine—I left completely satisfied in both heart and stomach. The Room was spotless and comfortable—functional yet designed with a calming Japanese aesthetic. The staff maintained just the right level of attentiveness; thanks to their courteous service, my stay was pleasant from start to finish. It had been some time since my last visit to Kusatsu Onsen, but this trip helped me rediscover its charm all over again. This wonderful Accommodation lets you experience both the excellence of Jizo Gensen and modern comfort at once—somewhere I would love to return again.

We were talking with friends about wanting to see the Atami fireworks, and that’s how we found Atami Terrace. We’d often seen it on Instagram, so although it was a bit pricey for us, we decided to make the Reservation since it was a special occasion—and we were absolutely thrilled! Nothing blocked the view: an amazing collaboration of the sea, illuminations, and fireworks right in front of us. The powerful sound that you could feel in your stomach was truly moving. The service was just as impressive as the fireworks. The buffet meals—both dinner and breakfast—offered great variety, and unlike many Hotels like this, there was hardly any waiting in line. For my friend who has trouble walking and uses a cane, there was a cart that could carry a tray while moving around, and she seemed happy to be able to choose as much as she wanted. We were also surprised by the all-you-can-drink beer. We also enjoyed plenty inside the Hotel—late-night soba noodles, plus tea and sweets in the lounge. And with the beach right in front of you, I think it would be perfect for swimming too. It’s beautiful overall, and the Room is compact but well organized—we felt relaxed throughout our stay. We’ve already made another Reservation for the November fireworks festival. We’re really looking forward to it.

We stayed for one night and two days as a family of four. The building does show its age, but it was kept clean. Dinner was incredibly lavish—more than we could finish. The dashi the Hotel highlighted was truly delicious, a comforting taste that helped us unwind while traveling. In the lounge, there were alcoholic drinks, juice, light snacks, and plenty of manga as well; my husband relaxed there after the kids fell asleep. We received heartfelt hospitality—the proprietress came to greet us in person, and an international staff member kindly served our fussy daughter with a smile.

I stayed on a discounted, date-limited Plan this time. The meals were luxurious, the Room was clean, and there were two Onsen—one in the annex and one in the main building—so it never felt crowded and I could relax at my own pace. If I have the opportunity again, I would love to stay here as a solo traveler. Thank you very much.

We stayed in a Japanese-Western style room for three people. The exterior and shared areas were very clean, but there were a few disappointing points. First, there was no ceiling light in the Western-style room. Perhaps because it is a bedroom, but two of the three guests were elderly this time. A bed is not used only for sleeping. Since it can be difficult to stand up from sitting on tatami, we wanted to sit on the bed to chat or watch TV if there was no sofa, but it felt too dim. Another point—also from the perspective of elderly guests—was that the steamed rice seemed hard. The location right in front of the Kuma River was excellent, and the staff were wonderful, so overall we would say we were mostly satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality.

We were looking forward to staying at this long-established Hotel. We stayed as a family of four. The exterior looks quite old, but parts of the inside have been renovated. The front desk staff were pleasant and provided very kind, attentive guidance. We stayed in a Room that had not been renovated, so it did feel dated, but the toilet has been renovated so there was no inconvenience, and everything was well cleaned. Amenities were more than sufficient, and having tabi socks provided was a big plus. It would have been even better if there had been a basket bag for carrying items to the bath area. Also, the refrigerator was large and convenient. It even had a freezer compartment, which was great—we could freeze our ice packs. There are three bath areas in total; some switch between men and women, but if you go in both the evening and morning you can use them all. The baths were well cleaned and fully stocked with amenities, so they were very comfortable. The Onsen temperature was just right. Dinner was served in a large hall like a banquet venue, with each group seated at their own table. Tea and water were self-serve and set up nearby, so it was easy to get what we needed right away. We chose the casual course; it included many dishes we liked, and the sashimi and white shrimp kamameshi (rice cooked in an iron pot) were especially delicious. Overall it felt thoughtfully prepared and we were very satisfied with the content. We had seen many Reviews saying the portions were small and were worried about that, but since we drink alcohol it was just the right amount for us—Hotel kaiseki is often hard to finish otherwise. If you don’t drink alcohol and want to eat more, I think choosing the standard course or ordering additional dishes would be best. Breakfast was a buffet in a venue with an outside view. Seating is guided by staff; getting a window seat would be ideal. The buffet is compact but offers plenty of variety, with many tasty items overall. Personally, I would have loved small cakes or similar desserts as well. The trolley train boarding area is also within walking distance from here (on foot). Overall we were highly satisfied—this is a Hotel we’d like to return to. It became a wonderful travel memory for us. Thank you very much.

I arrived a little earlier than the check-in time, but they warmly welcomed me without any displeasure, saying the Room was ready.\nThe Room was spacious for the price and felt just like a Ryokan.\nBecause it is old, I noticed a slight odor in the Room and hallway.\nAfter checking in, I went in and out several times, and each time they prepared my shoes. The front desk staff also helped with sightseeing advice—the service was truly excellent.

We stayed here as a couple with our dog. Everyone was very kind and gentle with our dog as well, so we felt at ease throughout our stay. Thank you for your warm hospitality. The food was outstanding—well beyond five stars. It’s rare to be able to enjoy both dinner and breakfast in the Room with our dog, and we truly appreciated it. We sincerely hope Wakura Onsen will recover soon and regain its vibrant Onsen town atmosphere. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

We stayed here for a family trip for the first time in a while. It was a wonderful Accommodation, just as friends had recommended if we were staying in Dogo. As many Reviews mention, the location is truly excellent. It’s close to Dogo Onsen Honkan, and it was an easy walk—enjoying shopping along the arcade—to Dogo Onsen Station and the Karakuri Clock. We had informed them in advance that we would use the parking lot, and upon arrival they kindly guided us there, which made it very easy to understand. Our Room was on the 7th floor with a great view over Dogo town; our son relaxed while looking out at the scenery the whole time. Thank you for arranging such a nice view. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, and everything was delicious. A staff member in training quickly noticed and cleared empty plates, so even with four of us we could keep plenty of space on the table. We were especially happy to be able to try tai-meshi. The bath—praised by my family as well (“I’m glad you chose an Accommodation with an open-air bath!”)—was a comfortable size. The open-air bath felt wonderful with the night breeze; we could look up at the sky and unwind, which really eased our daily fatigue. In the morning there were fewer people as well, so we could soak slowly. The relaxation area prepared outside the bath (the water was delicious) also had chairs by the window with a panoramic view. It was great being able to enjoy both nighttime and morning views of Dogo. Before our stay I emailed some questions; they replied quickly and explained everything carefully, which helped us feel at ease. If I had one small suggestion, it would be that an exhaust fan in the toilet inside the guest Room would have been nice. Overall, everyone on staff was very pleasant and we were very satisfied. Our trip to Dogo Onsen became a wonderful memory thanks to choosing Chaharu. Thank you very much.

This was my first time staying here. It felt like a traditional Onsen Accommodation, and I had a very comfortable stay. I was able to relax in the Onsen, and I also really enjoyed the dinosaur-themed bath. The amenities were well stocked, and although I checked in late, I appreciated that the futon had already been laid out for me. Just one thing… when I tried to put something in the refrigerator—“!!”. Maybe it was left by a previous guest? There was ice cream inside, and it surprised me. Since it was tucked away in the back, it probably went unnoticed. It became a funny travel story for me, but I worried that others might not feel the same. Overall, though, I’m very satisfied. I’d love to stay again if I have the chance.

I was very satisfied with this Onsen Accommodation surrounded by nature, and there was also a great souvenir shop.

We upgraded to a kaiseki meal with meat and it was very delicious. The Room was a spacious 10-tatami room for three people, and we were very satisfied. The service was also excellent, and there were table tennis and billiards rooms next to the entrance hall. Hearing guests having fun made the place feel lively, which we enjoyed. Roasting and eating marshmallows in the hall was also fun, and there were plenty of books available. We would like to stay again.

Thank you for your hospitality at the end of the year. The view from the open-air bath was absolutely stunning. As for the meals, I enjoyed delicious fish grilled over an irori hearth, which made dining a fun and unique experience. To the staff from overseas, I understand that Japanese can be challenging, but please keep up the great work! Your smiles are wonderful in a foreign land!

I made a last-minute Reservation for an 8-tatami Room, but when I arrived, it had been upgraded to a 12-tatami Room. The Room was spacious, dinner was excellent, and I even had seconds of rice twice. Breakfast was also delicious, and my daughter—who usually doesn’t eat much—said she was full and satisfied. The bath was great as well; the scenic-view bath in particular had wonderful views of the mountains. I’ll definitely stay again.

Despite the rain, we truly appreciated being picked up when we arrived at the Accommodation and dropped off when we left, which made us feel very welcome. The Onsen water left our skin silky smooth, and we enjoyed a very relaxing bath. We also thoroughly enjoyed our meal in a private room. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

The Onsen is the main highlight, and with a full range of comfortable amenities, I was able to enjoy a truly fulfilling day. After working up a sweat at the gym, I played a little table tennis and felt like a kid again. The sauna is spacious and made of wood, and there is also a mist sauna—I did five rounds in total. To finish, I relaxed in the shallow pool and took a break with a draft beer. The large public bath left me feeling refreshed.
