The service was courteous, and the meals were excellent. I especially enjoyed the simple yet Western-style pot-au-feu and would love to have it again. The bath was also very good (I soaked four times). As someone who usually stays at Business Hotels, this reminded me how great an Onsen Accommodation can be.

We were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. Even when I was smoking in the courtyard smoking area, a staff member who was preparing the bonfire chatted with me in a friendly way. Also, when I asked at the front desk about recommended nearby spots, they kindly told me about places such as a shop with delicious salted yokan, and their service was very attentive. When I came down with a fever late at night, I made an unreasonable request for rice porridge; the head chef prepared it and a staff member delivered it to our Room. I was truly moved by how delicious it was and by their kindness. The Onsen was so comfortable that I ended up soaking for a long time, and the open-air bath stayed warm even in the cold without being too hot. My wife was also happy that her skin felt so smooth. Since it was only a one-night, two-day trip, we had to head straight home on the second day, but we’re very grateful—it turned into a wonderful trip where we could feel people’s warmth.

I loved the Onsen so much that I came back three months later. As expected, the quality of the Dake Onsen hot spring water is outstanding! Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great both times, so next time I’d love to see the scenery when it’s lush and green. This time I booked No Meals Included, but next time I might choose a plan with meals—there aren’t many places to eat nearby.

It was our first stay, and it was a wonderful Accommodation that made us want to come back. The entire building has tatami flooring, so there’s no need for slippers, which made it comfortable even with children. Everything felt very clean, the food was delicious, and we also enjoyed being able to choose what we liked from the half-buffet. Above all, the staff’s hospitality was truly warm and memorable. They were kind to our child as well, making it an Accommodation where our family could relax without any worries.

The Facility was clean, and all the staff were very kind and attentive. We fully enjoyed the Onsen and the sauna, and we thought it was wonderful that drinks, including alcohol, were included with the meals. We also appreciated that bringing towels from our Room to the Onsen helps reduce unnecessary laundry, which feels sustainable. The view from the Hotel lobby was also amazing, and we were able to relax and create wonderful family memories. Thank you very much.

Although it was extremely hot, we were blessed with good weather and were able to relax. Driving from Kyoto via the national highway felt far (since we have a kei car and can get pressured on the expressway). The first time, we stayed at Nisshokan. This time, due to renovations, we stayed at Nagisakan—it was spacious and we could take our time. I had knee surgery in February and worked hard through painful rehabilitation, so being able to finally enjoy the Onsen again was truly wonderful. Everyone at the Hotel was kind, and it was very soothing. Thank you very much.

Both the Room and the bath, as well as the meals, were excellent. The service was attentive. I was able to spend a relaxing and luxurious time. If I may mention one thing, a razor was provided, but it was not very sharp, and there was no shaving foam. I tried substituting another soap, but it did not work well and I ended up cutting my face.

We thoroughly enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast buffets. At dinner, the Shimane Wagyu roast beef and sweet shrimp were especially delicious. For breakfast, in addition to making our own seafood bowl, we also loved the Shimane Wagyu beef stew, which was hearty with plenty of meat. The garden was beautiful, and all the staff were kind and helpful. Thank you very much.

Because we would be checking in late after watching the Takigi Noh performance at Misogi Shrine, we stayed for one night with breakfast only (no dinner). The Facility felt a bit dated in some details, but it was clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and welcomed and saw us off with wonderful smiles. The Nishikigoi carp and turtles swimming in the indoor pond also helped soothe our travel fatigue. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

I stayed during Golden Week and thought it was a bit pricey even though the Room didn’t have an Onsen, but it exceeded my expectations in a great way! The rooftop Onsen had a wonderful view and was excellent. I usually don’t like buffet meals because the food can be mediocre and the atmosphere often feels unsettled, but this Hotel had a wide variety of options and everything was delicious, so I was very satisfied. I’d love to stay here again.

A last-minute trip to Izu came up, and we stayed for two nights. We were extremely satisfied with the hospitality that far exceeded our expectations, the well-trained staff, the clean Room, and the delicious meals. Since we stayed in a Room with an open-air Onsen bath, we did not use the public bath, but everything was well maintained and it was a very satisfying trip. We will visit again.

I stayed in Room 311 in GATEI, and the tatami floor creaked a lot, so it might bother some people. Other than that, everything was very good. The bath was hot and kept me warm afterward, which felt great. There is a sauna, but no cold plunge pool, so you can’t use it the same way as a typical public bathhouse. The sulfur Onsen had quite a strong smell, though I thought that added to the atmosphere in its own way. The smell does linger throughout the Hotel, though. I only had breakfast, but it was very satisfying—especially the miso soup.

I’d been interested in this Onsen for a while, but could never find the right timing to get a Reservation. By chance, there was an available Room, so I booked it. I had reserved a mountain-side Room, but it actually overlooked Kagami Pond and felt very open. The Room was spacious, and everything—Room and bath facilities alike—was spotless, as if recently renovated. The staff were very polite, cheerful, and friendly, which made the stay even better. The Onsen water quality was excellent, the temperature was just right, and I could soak at ease. This place is absolutely worth the price! I will definitely return.

We stayed for one night with two people on June 11. To sum it up, we were extremely satisfied. We chose the recommended No. 1 Plan with breakfast and dinner: the Japanese Black Wagyu lava stone teppanyaki Plan. Every dish was truly delicious, the timing of each course was perfect, and the female staff member who served us provided excellent hospitality. If you stay at this Hotel, we definitely recommend choosing a Plan that includes dinner. The Room was clean, and although the large public bath is on the smaller side, the water was great. We also appreciated that a basket with a yukata robe and towels was prepared for taking to the bath.

We made a last-minute Reservation, and the Accommodation was very clean. There was also a welcome drink, and it felt like a relaxing space as soon as we arrived. For luggage, they lent us a cart, but we had to carry everything ourselves; however, there is an elevator, so it wasn’t an issue. Since our room was on the second floor, the view was more like a small glimpse of the ocean in the distance. The area is famous for beautiful sunsets, but I completely forgot and scheduled dinner at sunset time, so we couldn’t see it—such a shame. If the weather is nice, choosing a later dinner time might be better since the beach is close and you can take your time enjoying the sunset. The dog run isn’t very large, but our dog seemed to have fun running around. The meals were very generous portions and left us full. We could also order food for our dog and enjoy dining together, which was great. The photo spots were cute as well. We’d love to stay again if we have another chance.

This was my first stay, and I was very satisfied—not only with the fireworks, but also with the Onsen and the meals (both breakfast and dinner were served in semi-private dining rooms, and dinner was a kaiseki course).

We stayed on August 1–2, 2026! The Room (depending on the Plan, I assume) felt like it could have been a bit deeper and wider, but it matched the photos online. This was our first stay at Taoya as a family of four, including a second-year university student and a second-year high school student. We loved the all-inclusive free drinks (including alcohol) throughout our stay, plus the welcome dessert (the mini Mont Blanc was freshly piped on the spot). At dinner buffet, there were shake salads, freshly grilled and carved steak, and each table had a small burner for mini hot pots. There were also pasta and pizza, and even late-night snacks included in the Plan—everything was excellent in both taste and portion size. Breakfast was also buffet-style with build-your-own rice bowls, grilled fish using the tabletop burner, and freshly baked mini apple pies brought around to each table (they’re seriously piping hot, so be careful when eating). Our whole family was very satisfied. At dinner one night while we were taking a selfie with an outstretched arm, a staff member kindly offered to take our photo—an extra touch that made us even happier. The location was great too: easy access to Momiji-dani Suspension Bridge and the Nasu Highlands area, and Nikko is just over an hour away by expressway. Since it’s in the mountains we were worried about insects, but they didn’t bother us at all—we didn’t even encounter any during an evening walk (to the nearest suspension bridge), at the open-air bath on the 4th floor, or in our Room. The only insect we really noticed was dragonflies flying around the courtyard; little kids seemed to enjoy having them land on their fingers. Personally, I especially liked the courtyard bonfire! Both the Room and the service were outstanding! I especially loved how close it is to the shopping street... I was also impressed that amenities such as L’OCCITANE shampoo were provided separately! I’d love to stay again!

Both the cave bath and the open-air bath were clean, and we could relax comfortably. We stayed in a Room that seems to have undergone a major renovation—reducing the number of rooms and adding a bedroom and a private in-room hot spring bath with free-flowing water—so our stay was very comfortable. The furnishings in the Room and along the hallways were also lovely. The experienced staff who took care of our meals kindly answered various questions about the local area, making our time truly enjoyable. Thank you very much.

The services were excellent, but what impressed us even more was the warm hospitality and thoughtful care throughout our stay! Every staff member we met was kind and welcoming, and we truly had a heartwarming time. There were plenty of complimentary drinks and snacks (the summer water service was especially appreciated). We stayed with three preschool-aged children, and even when they got excited, a bit noisy, or fussy, the staff never showed any displeasure—always smiling, speaking gently to them, and offering help whenever they noticed we might be struggling. The team at the front desk, dining area, Onsen area—everyone was wonderful. They were also very courteous when I called in advance with several questions. We chose this Accommodation to visit LEGOLAND Japan and Oyatsu Town, and we definitely want to stay again! Both dinner and breakfast were delicious! It’s located in a place where you can really feel nature, and the Onsen with scenic views made for a relaxing time. This trip reminded me that meeting kind people makes travel so much more fulfilling.
