The bath is very relaxing. The open-air bath is a comfortable size, and the greenery makes it pleasant as well. Breakfast was delicious—tuna and squid sashimi, grated yam, freshly cooked fried eggs, rice porridge, and “Ra-ho”—and I looked forward to it on the second morning too. Since I was traveling alone and staying two nights, I chose a Room without a bath to keep costs down, but if the price isn’t that much cheaper, I think I should have booked a standard Room instead. Because there is an Onsen, not having a bath wasn’t an issue, but the toilet bothered me. It seems a toilet unit was added into one corner of what looks like an enclosed veranda area by the window in the Japanese-style room. Since it’s so close to the room itself, it felt a bit uncomfortable. The TV also felt very small—about the size of a computer monitor. If it were dramatically cheaper than regular rooms, I might consider it again.

It was very convenient, just a short walk from Dogo Onsen. The building feels a bit old, but the staff’s wonderful hospitality more than made up for it. We really appreciated it! We also used the large public bath in the morning, but the air conditioning wasn’t on... I’m not sure if that was intentional or simply forgotten... It was a hot day, so that was the only thing that concerned us. We were able to cool down properly once we returned to our room, but we would have liked to cool off right after the bath.

The open-air Onsen bath in the Room was truly relaxing, and I used it many times. We chose the small-portion Plan for meals, but it was more than enough to leave us completely full. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The thoughtful touches unique to a small Ryokan—such as a toothpick holder made from chiyogami paper—made the hospitality genuinely comforting. The proprietress and all staff were also very pleasant. Also, since I have trouble with my legs, I stayed in a barrier-free Room, but the shampoo and other amenities in the shower area were placed quite low. If possible, I would like them to be set a little higher. Thank you very much.

I made a reservation at an accommodation that is rare these days, offering in-room smoking and in-room dining. The meals were thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The onsen is not from a natural hot spring source, but you can enjoy it quietly and leisurely.

The room was well-cleaned, and the front desk staff were very accommodating. The Onsen was available for use anytime except during the morning cleaning hours, featuring two baths—one hot and one lukewarm—as well as an open-air bath. The quality of the Onsen felt smooth and beneficial for the skin; I enjoyed it twice, at night and in the morning, and was very satisfied. The breakfast buffet was also delicious.

We had a wonderful time in the beautiful garden and Room. My daughter was also very happy. Thank you very much. We would love to visit again.

This was my first stay. The front desk staff were very courteous. There were complimentary drinks on the first floor, and the ice-cold draft beer was excellent. The Room was spacious and had a massage chair, so I could relax, but I couldn’t adjust the air conditioning—when I tried to operate it, it turned off. I filled the in-room Onsen right away and enjoyed a very pleasant bath, but my parent, who has difficulty walking, said the step was high and felt scary. Since everything is flat around it, I thought a handrail would make it safer. I understand this may be difficult as it is not barrier-free. I was looking forward to dinner. Everything was delicious, including salt-grilled ayu and chicken hot pot, and even the white rice was excellent. The children’s lunch plate was also generous in portion size, and my child happily bit into a big fried shrimp. However, there was one thing that concerned me. My child’s dessert (a mousse-like item topped with fruit) that came with the lunch plate was taken away partway through for some reason. Since I happened to be on the phone at that moment, I wondered why. After that, as if nothing had happened, the removed dessert was served to an adult instead, and jelly was placed for my child. I assumed it had been a mistake, but I believe an explanation should have been given. Taking something once served to one person and then serving it to someone else seems inappropriate etiquette-wise. At the very least, some explanation when bringing out the jelly for my child would have been appreciated. Overall it is a wonderful Accommodation; only the dinner service response bothered me. Thank you very much.

The Onsen is simply fantastic. The indoor bath is spacious enough, and the water is pleasantly lukewarm, so you can soak slowly and relax—perfect. Its nickname, “the beauty bath,” is no exaggeration: the water feels silky-smooth and leaves your skin noticeably softer right away. I ended up bathing five times in total, using both the indoor bath and the large public bath, and was very satisfied. The meals were also excellent—homemade dishes made with local ingredients. It seems to be family-run, and I appreciated that they didn’t get involved more than necessary.

I was very satisfied because I prefer free-flowing Onsen straight from the source (I don’t like recirculated baths). For those who like natural hot spring water, the open-air bath seems especially highly rated. It’s also great that families can bathe together. All of the meals were delicious—nothing felt like an afterthought. I love places with a Showa-era atmosphere, so I’d like to visit again someday.

I wasn’t originally planning to visit Kurokawa Onsen, but a friend recommended it, so I looked for an Accommodation available on my dates and decided to stay. I’m sorry for being rude, but I didn’t have very high expectations. When I entered the Room, it had underfloor heating—even in the washroom. The in-room bath was spacious, and the water quality was excellent; it was such a pleasant Onsen that I wanted to soak again and again. I stayed for two nights. The meals felt carefully prepared with great attention to detail. With course-style feasts you can sometimes start to feel overwhelmed, but that never happened here—strangely enough. I don’t know if it was the chef’s sense and skill, the seasoning, or the choice of ingredients and menu, but everything was truly delicious. I was completely satisfied and felt genuinely happy. After dinner we returned to our Room, and they had warmed our sandals—thank you for such thoughtful care. Thank you as well to all the lovely staff. I hope to visit again. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

We stayed at “Yuzu no Yado Senrien” in Yunogo with our family and our beloved dog! The Room where we could stay with our dog was very comfortable, and we were truly happy that we could enjoy the delicious meals together the whole time. Usually on trips, our dog has to stay behind or we end up spending time apart, but this time our whole family could be together from start to finish and relax with peace of mind. Using the Accommodation as a base, just step out into the Onsen town and you’ll find everything packed into a charming, walkable area—an atmospheric shrine, footbaths to soothe tired feet, and stylish, cozy cafes. We were able to take a leisurely stroll at our dog’s pace and felt genuinely refreshed. With such warm hospitality and the best holiday spent together with the family (and our pup), it became an unforgettable memory that made us think from the bottom of our hearts, “We’re so glad we chose this place.” We also used a private bath inside the property with our dog. It was not an Onsen. It’s a favorite Accommodation we’d love to visit again in a different season!

Once again, it was a very pleasant stay. The meals were delicious, and the fried chicken we had last year was so good that we ordered it again this time—still outstanding!

The Room was clean and spacious, and the Facility was great. The open-air bath was wonderful! It looks like you could have a barbecue on the terrace. There’s a rice cooker, plates, and more, so you can cook for yourself. I’d love to stay again.

Each dish was carefully prepared, and both the flavors and presentation were outstanding. I would highly recommend it to everyone. My sincere thanks to the head chef for preparing such an exceptional meal. The Onsen was also lovely, with a great atmosphere, and I was able to relax and unwind. However, I was a little disappointed that the women’s bathing hours were only from 17:00 to 20:00. I would have been even happier if it had been available for longer. The Room was clean and comfortable, and overall it felt like a calm, private space that I really enjoyed. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

My spouse and I stayed with our miniature dachshund and chose the BBQ course. After arriving, we checked in at Bianco. We were then shown to our Room, and everything was explained carefully, including how the Room and the public Onsen work. You can buy a 24-hour pass for three public baths at Gozen-yu for 600 yen. We started with a soak at Gozen-yu, then took our dog for a walk around town before dinner. The atmosphere is lovely, but to be honest there aren’t really any tourist facilities like souvenir shops (lol). There are walking paths too, but we decided not to go into the mountains because we were worried about bears. Before dinner, they brought us the meat for the BBQ. A one-drink option is included, so I ordered a craft beer. The meal was more filling than expected and very tasty. One thing to note: you cook the rice yourself using a mess tin (camping-style pot), so it might feel challenging if it’s your first time—though I’m used to it as a camper. It felt less like staying at a Ryokan and more like casual glamping. Also, since you’re grilling as you eat, it’s not really a sit-down-and-relax style meal. After dinner we went to our second bath, Satsuki-yu. However, Arifuku Onsen is very hot, so you can’t soak for long. My wife tried to go for one more bath at Yayoi-yu before bed but ran out of time and ended up going back to Gozen-yu instead (open until 10 p.m.). In the morning we visited Gozen-yu again (open from 7 a.m.) before having breakfast bento boxes—those were great too. The Room was very clean, and best of all we could let our dog relax freely inside, which made us really happy. We’d love to stay again if we have the chance—next time I’d like to try dinner at Bianco as well.

We were able to relax in both the bath and the Room. The sound of the river was soothing, and it was an Accommodation we would definitely like to stay at again. By the time we left, our skin felt smooth. Thank you very much.

We were thrilled that they showed us a covered parking area for our two motorcycles. At other Ryokan and Hotels we’ve stayed at, they offer covered parking for cars but say motorcycles aren’t allowed. The Onsen and the meals were excellent, and the staff were courteous—they even checked with the kitchen to answer our questions about the dishes. Overall, it was a very comfortable Ryokan, and we’d like to stay here again whenever we travel to the Yamaguchi area.

After watching a baseball game, we extended our trip to enjoy Kinosaki Onsen and the Amarube Bridge sightseeing. Since my friend and I both love crab, we stayed with the Kasumi Crab course at this accommodation. When I informed them in advance by phone that my friend had difficulty walking, they kindly prepared a barrier-free room for us. The food was delicious. They also arranged a taxi for us, and the staff serving meals were very attentive. The onsen was excellent as well. Although I was initially worried due to some negative reviews, we had a pleasant stay overall. The area in front of the ryokan was quiet enough to relax comfortably.
