We stayed at the Tachibana Clan Residence. The building, the garden, the meals, and above all the heartfelt hospitality were wonderful, making this a truly memorable trip. We were able to fully appreciate the history of the Tachibana clan and enjoy views of the pine garden from the grand hall where the lord once sat. I’m sure that even people 100 years from now will be moved just as we were. Thank you very much.

Using aromatic vegetables, fish, and meat from the Kyoto area, each ingredient is prepared and served with the utmost care to preserve its natural fragrance, flavor, and texture in the best possible way. The chef’s evolving craft was truly impressive. I was also moved by the sommelier’s sincere dedication to wine. The cuisine feels perfectly suited to this one-of-a-kind Meiji-era mansion dining experience in Japan.

We enjoyed a “staycation,” with lounge hopping across four lounges as the main highlight. First, we walked from Shinagawa Station to the Hotel, but IKYU’s directions said “cross Daiichi Keihan…,” so we crossed the signal right after exiting the Takanawa Exit. However, the route to the right after crossing was blocked due to construction, so we had to turn back. After exiting the Takanawa Exit, it’s best to turn right and walk along Daiichi Keihan, then turn left at the first traffic light onto Sakura-zaka. Alternatively, since it’s a continuous uphill slope, I think taking the shuttle bus would be a good option. We visited all four lounges, and as expected, Hana-Kouro’s lounge was the most relaxing; the drinks were also of higher quality and excellent. The champagne during cocktail time—and Dassai—was a real treat. We also enjoyed tasting different sake. There were some light bites during cocktail time, but it would have been even better if there had been additional hors d’oeuvres. Breakfast was delicious as well. It was our first time trying a matcha grinding experience, and we really enjoyed it. At the lounge, the staff maintained just the right level of attentiveness throughout without being intrusive, which made it very comfortable. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. My wife and I stayed here as a reward after work. Everything was wonderful—the butler service, the food, and the atmosphere. The early evening with a hint of autumn and the refreshing mornings were both amazing. Staying for about two nights would be perfect. Next time, I’d like to try another Room as well. Thank you—my wife was very satisfied too. The meat miso we received was so good we couldn’t stop eating rice.

It was two days full of surprise and inspiration. I only knew it was a museum Hotel, and to be honest, I came mainly for Briance—but it truly felt like an actual museum. Even while exploring the building, the staff kindly provided detailed explanations, which made it even more enjoyable. Every piece is one of a kind, and through the art tour program we also received in-depth commentary. I understood why so many guests return again and again, and it made me want to explore even more myself. The Room was very comfortable and easy to use, the lounge food was delicious, and even though we had dinner at Briance—the original purpose of our visit—we ended up fully enjoying the bar and lounge as well. The wonderful smiles and thoughtful hospitality from all the staff were outstanding, allowing us to spend a truly relaxing holiday. Thank you very much. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed Briance as well.

The bath, the room, the sauna, the food, and all of the staff were outstanding. The goats were incredibly cute and so relaxing! My daughter was totally absorbed in feeding them and said on the way home that she definitely wants to stay again! We plan to visit again if we have the chance!

We were very satisfied. The private hot spring bath in the room was spacious—almost too luxurious for one person. After dinner, we also used the large public bath and were able to relax and enjoy a comfortable time. Dinner was teppanyaki, and not only was the food delicious, but we also thoroughly enjoyed the chef’s conversation and performance. Breakfast was delicious as well. All of the staff were very kind, and we had a wonderful two-day stay. Thank you very much.

I was so happy to stay here again after a while, and I had a wonderful time. As always, I truly appreciated the friendly, warm hospitality of the staff. This time we were also treated to a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji, which left me feeling refreshed both physically and mentally! In addition, SCAPES’ original skincare products are excellent—I used the serum and toner thoroughly after my bath and my skin felt beautifully radiant. I can’t wait to come back again soon.

Ever since I happened to stay here on a trip to Wakayama, I’ve been coming back regularly. This is already my third stay. I get the sense it used to be a love hotel, but in any case, it’s extremely clean and comfortable. For this level of quality, the value for money is outstanding. Highlights: The Room is very spacious and spotless. The toilet and bathroom are separate, and the bath is large enough to soak properly in the tub. The bed is double-sized and roomy. Amenities are well stocked. I still haven’t found any downsides lol. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in Wakayama.

I love Okinawa and visit with my child more than once a year. I’ve stayed at most hotels there, and this is the kind of hotel that feels like a sensory breakthrough from the moment you step inside. Among hotels in Okinawa in the same class, it may well be the best in both service and facilities. The airport transfers to and from Naha Airport were both in an Alphard. On the way back, our foreign female driver provided such a comfortable ride. After dozing off on the way, we arrived at a lobby with a breathtaking view—enjoying a welcome drink while looking out over the beautiful sea. From our room as well, we had an uninterrupted view of blue skies and an emerald-green ocean stretching out before us. The private pool is also an infinity pool, so it felt wonderful no matter how many times we went in. There were floats for both adults and children as well. For dinner, we chose sushi kaiseki on the first night and French on the second. Wanting to relax in our room with our child, we asked to switch the sushi kaiseki to room service; they set it up side by side facing the window so we could enjoy it while watching the sunset—it was absolutely delicious. The presentation showed real craftsmanship, and everything was exceptionally fresh and flavorful! For French dinner, we were shown to a private room; again, we could unwind comfortably on a sofa while dining. It’s said to be ranked No. 1 on Ikkyu as an inn for gourmet dining—and I completely agree. It was beautiful French cuisine that truly highlighted each ingredient’s flavor. Even at luxury hotels there are often “kids’ menu” options that feel too childish, but here they wonderfully arranged a full-course meal for children—my child usually leaves food behind but finished everything this time. I don’t drink alcohol, but the lounge offered Okinawan spirits and beer along with bite-sized savory snacks and sweets that paired well—everything tasted great. They were also very warm toward my child throughout our stay. This has become a hotel I definitely want to return to!

This Hotel impressed us in every way—hospitality, Facility, everything. At check-in, a staff member even came out to the parking lot to greet us. While enjoying a welcome drink, we received a thorough explanation of the property. The kids were beyond excited about how spacious and spotless the Room was, and about the view. There were thoughtful loan items such as card games, so not only the children but also we parents had a great time. We were also happy to find ReFa straightening and curling irons and a SHARP drum washer-dryer permanently installed, with detergent provided as well. The cleaning was impeccable down to every corner—truly impressive! (We stayed at another luxury Hotel the night before and noticed uncleaned areas and even flies, but here there was nothing like that—everything was beautiful.) At night, we relaxed by floating in the pool while gazing at the stars. And then breakfast—again, amazing: tender Wagyu steak in the morning and carefully prepared dishes using local ingredients. We had mentioned it was an anniversary trip, and they even prepared a cake and drinks for us. Every staff member was polite and warm; our 6-year-old son says it’s “the best Hotel ever.” I didn’t know Kouri Island could be such a wonderful place. We would absolutely love to stay again—with this Hotel as our main reason for coming back.

Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day! There were signs guiding us to the villa along the way, so we arrived without getting lost. The moment we entered the gate, we got excited—it was the most wonderful villa we have ever stayed in. Being able to check in face-to-face gave us peace of mind, and you assisted us very kindly and thoroughly. The living room was spacious, and since each bedroom has its own bathroom and toilet, everyone in our family was able to relax comfortably. The kitchen was also well equipped—even with a scale, measuring spoons, and baking paper—so we were able to bake scones and bread for breakfast. Everything was neatly organized and easy to find. The washing machine, coffee maker, and other appliances were easy to use as well, so we had no trouble figuring anything out. It was a truly lovely villa where we could feel the owner’s thoughtful attention everywhere. We only stayed one night this time, so next time we would love to stay longer.

It was an absolutely wonderful villa. When I come to Miyakojima again, I definitely want to stay here! The service was consistently thoughtful—exactly the kind that anticipates every need. Everything you think “It would be nice if they had this” is already there. The staff were also very courteous. The amenities and hair dryer were high quality. The shampoo and hand soap were THANN. There was also baby body wash (a good additive-free one from Mama & Baby). They offer a surprisingly large selection of free rental items, including things you don’t usually find at a typical Hotel, such as a baby chair and baby playpen (some items are available for a fee). Everything inside the Room was clean with no issues. All drinks in the refrigerator are free-flow. They will restock endlessly until 7:00 PM. The sunset view from the rooftop was simply stunning. The quiet Sawada Beach stretching out in front of you, together with the sunset, left a strong impression. There isn’t an on-site restaurant, but you can arrange a private chef or have a BBQ on the terrace. We bought meat from “Sachiya Butcher Shop,” which was recommended by the villa staff, and had a BBQ. If you order in advance, ingredients can also be delivered to your Room (limited to certain shops). The only thing that scared me was seeing a thin long insect poking its head out from between the gaps of the mesh table on the terrace. Because it’s a hollow mesh-style table, I couldn’t tell whether it just happened to be there or if something had taken up residence, so we couldn’t use it afterward. Since lush nature is right in front of the villa—and that’s part of what makes it great—I understand it’s difficult to completely eliminate insects… Also, the walking path from in front of the villa to Sawada Beach is so overgrown that plants brush against your feet if you’re wearing sandals. I’d be happy if it could be trimmed and maintained a bit more. Overall, we were truly very satisfied!! It isn’t cheap, but it’s quiet and you can relax without worrying about others—perfect for enjoying a resort atmosphere at your own pace. It’s ideal for spending an important anniversary with someone special, and it’s a villa I’d gladly recommend to friends as well. Thank you very much.

This was my 6th visit in total, and I’m grateful to be moved every time. Thanks to the variety of rooms and the warm hospitality of all the staff, I’m able to experience the sense of escape from everyday life that I value when traveling. Above all, what impresses me every time is the food. The dinner menu is never the same, and the seasonal dishes have become the highlight of my stay. Considering today’s rising costs for all kinds of ingredients, I’m truly impressed by—and grateful for—the chef’s remarkable creativity and ingenuity reflected in each meal. One note: because the food is so outstanding, you may end up drinking more than usual—so if you enjoy alcohol, a bit of self-control might be necessary (laugh).

We stayed during the latter half of Silver Week. The weather was great on the first day, so the views were beautiful and we were very satisfied. It really is better when the grape leaves are still on the vines! We arrived at CAVE D’OCCI before noon, completed check-in, and had lunch at a nearby café. We ordered a pasta set—just the right portion and delicious. After that, we joined a private winery tour, which ended with a wine tasting. Everything was so good that we bought 12 bottles of wine! Since there was still time before dinner, we went to an Onsen Facility about a 3-minute walk away and relaxed. Back at the Hotel, there was complimentary white wine during happy hour. From 5:30 p.m., dinner was served with wine pairing. The food was excellent, and the wines were great as well. Since only CAVE D’OCCI wines are offered, there are no full-bodied options, so preferences may vary. Breakfast was also delicious—the tomato juice is outstanding!

For quite some time now, I’ve been staying here about once a month. The moment I step inside, my mind switches from the everyday to something extraordinary. I keep coming back because I want to feel that shift. The Room and the meals are flawless, and above all, the quality of the sauna relaxation room is exceptional. To be honest, I like it so much that I almost hesitate to write this—because more people might find out and it could get crowded. The service is also impressively attentive every time—exactly what you’d expect from a top-class Hotel. It feels well worth the price. And most of all, the quiet here is wonderful. There aren’t many places where you can truly unwind and return to yourself in peace. For me, this is genuinely my third place. I hope to keep coming at least once a month for years to come… which is exactly why, if I’m being honest, I kind of hope it doesn’t get too busy (laugh).

We stayed as a family trip with three generations. With wonderful facilities, lovely interiors, and delicious drinks and meals, we were able to fully enjoy everything. During our stay, we also enjoyed events such as Mountain Lights and fireworks, making it a truly memorable family trip.

From arrival by car to departure, we had a very pleasant stay. All the staff were cheerful and very kind, and the meals were excellent. When we left by car, it was especially memorable that they kept waving until we were out of sight. We would definitely like to stay again.

A luxurious Facility where extraordinary koi swim. We were able to enjoy a sand bath, a ceramic bath experience, and a private open-air bath at no additional charge. All staff were kind and provided attentive service. The Japanese cuisine served at the Yakusugi cedar counter was exquisite, with tropical fruits used throughout that were as beautiful to look at as they were delicious. The entire property was spotless and impeccably maintained, and the star-filled sky we gazed at late at night from the free-flowing natural hot spring open-air bath in our room was beyond words.
