I have stayed at many hotels considered top-class, but this was the best experience I have ever had. As others have said, the hospitality was truly exceptional—beyond what I could have expected. Breakfast from Gion Kawakami was also an outstanding experience. I would love to visit again in a different season.

This is a perfect Accommodation no matter when you visit. It was Kyoto in extreme heat, but thanks to your thoughtful care in many ways, we had a wonderful time. The pike conger is a must in this season; it is an additional-order dish, but highly recommended. We are planning to visit again in autumn.

The female staff member at reception during check-in impressed me with her proactive, exemplary hospitality. I stay at Hotels for a change of pace, and this Hotel made me feel at ease in every way—facilities, staff, and overall comfort—with no small discomforts. It was part of the Plan, but I gladly took them up on it and stayed for 24 hours. At reception, they said, “Please let us know if there is anything you need,” showing a positive attitude. At the restaurant as well: “Please relax and enjoy your stay.” They even asked, “Did you sleep well?” You don’t often hear that elsewhere. It had been a while since I stayed at a major international chain Hotel, and their training truly showed. The Room design is also charming. I can see why it’s popular with guests from both Japan and abroad.

I stayed for a total of two nights and was able to work comfortably. There was a desk and chair, and the chair was comfortable to sit in. From noon, there was a time when I could enjoy sweets, tea, coffee, and more, and from the evening there was a time when I could enjoy alcohol and snacks—making for a pleasant change of pace between work sessions.

This is my second stay. After my previous stay, I mentioned a small concern in a comment, and I received a prompt reply, which left a very positive impression and made me want to stay again. During this second visit, I was warmly asked at check-in if there was anything they could help with, which made me glad I came. The hallway leading to the Room and the interior atmosphere were both excellent. I will definitely stay here again.

Using aromatic vegetables, fish, and meat from the Kyoto area, each ingredient is prepared and served with the utmost care to preserve its natural fragrance, flavor, and texture in the best possible way. The chef’s evolving craft was truly impressive. I was also moved by the sommelier’s sincere dedication to wine. The cuisine feels perfectly suited to this one-of-a-kind Meiji-era mansion dining experience in Japan.

I really appreciated that the Room was ready before check-in and I was able to enter early. Since it was a single Room, it felt small and a bit dated, but the bathroom was new, clean, and very comfortable to use. I was slightly concerned that the Wi-Fi connection was unstable. The location was convenient, and it was a warm and refined Hotel unlike chain Hotels, making my stay very comfortable. The French toast at breakfast was also very delicious. The front desk staff were helpful as well. I will stay here again.

Thank you very much for letting us stay in such a spacious Room! We were able to spend our time in the Room feeling truly pampered. I was happy to receive a cold towel at check-in, and even though the front desk was busy, you assisted us right away. Everyone’s wonderful smiles warmed our hearts. Despite being located in a lively part of town, the property felt like a different world—wrapped in serene tranquility. The cool breeze drifting through the reed doors and the pleasantly textured ajiro weaving, which I experienced for the first time, deeply moved me as part of Japan’s beautiful “summer setting.” Listening to the gentle sound of the shishi-odoshi echoing through the impeccably kept garden and spending time in the dignified tea room were truly luxurious moments that soothed my soul. The food and drinks were also exceptional—everything felt wonderfully satisfying to all five senses. Thank you sincerely for your thoughtful touches throughout. It became a wonderful summer memory, and my first visit back to Kyoto in a while was made even more special.

I was deeply relaxed in this luxurious space where I could feel Kyoto in every detail. The bath also had a genuine herbal soak, letting me enjoy a truly indulgent Onsen-like experience. The amenities were well stocked, and the futon and pillows were fluffy, so I slept soundly. It was a wonderful trip that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely love to stay again. Quiet and reassuring. Impeccably clean. From the stairs to the lobby, every space reflects the owner’s attention to detail. My favorite is the wraparound balcony—spending Kyoto’s magic hour here always leaves me feeling quietly happy.

I originally made a Reservation at “Nene no Michi Bettei,” but due to a change in Room allocation, I ended up staying at Hotel VMG Kyoto Kamogawa. From check-in to check-out, I was deeply impressed by the staff’s impeccable attention to detail and thoughtful hospitality. Sleeping in the bedroom while gazing up at the coffered ceiling felt like an “exceptional escape from everyday life.” At the paid lounge, alcohol and other drinks are available free-flow, with snacks as well—it truly feels like a private lounge. Because the property preserves the character of a historic building, soundproofing is not perfect; however, it more than makes up for it with an elegant, nostalgic atmosphere. The Japanese-style room next to the bedroom overlooks a small courtyard garden and offers a wonderfully atmospheric view that made time feel as if it passed more slowly. That said, perhaps because the air conditioning does not reach this room easily, I found the heat noticeable. Although it would involve additional cost, lending spot coolers or simple heaters to guests upon request during limited seasons (summer/winter) could help make better use of this room and may also become a new experiential highlight—especially for international travelers. I’m truly grateful to all of the staff for giving me such an extraordinary stay. This is a Hotel I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking an “indescribably exceptional escape from everyday life.”

It was hot in Kyoto, so I really appreciated how close it was to the station! The Room was clean and I was satisfied, and the staff were very kind, making my stay comfortable.

All the staff were incredibly kind and warm. They responded quickly when I wasn’t feeling well, and thanks to that I was able to enjoy my trip without changing any of my plans. My first enzyme bath also helped relieve my fatigue. If it were closer, I’d feel like coming even once a month. The French restaurant was outstanding—the fish and vegetables were fresh and delicious. The wine pairing was perfect, and we enjoyed it very much. For breakfast we chose the Japanese set, and the kenchin-jiru soup—something I hadn’t had in a long time—was excellent. There was a wide variety of dishes, all delicious. The Room was comfortable as well, and we were satisfied with everything—we would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much to all the staff.

I first stayed here when I visited Kyoto for my son’s wedding, and the staff’s attentive service made my stay very comfortable. Since then, I have stayed here every time I come to Kyoto. The Facility is clean, and I was able to relax again this time as well. I would like to stay here again.

Thank you very much for a wonderfully comfortable Multiple Night Stay of three nights. When I returned from shopping, a male staff member in the lobby kindly asked, “Shall I take your luggage to your Room first?” Thanks to that, I was able to relax and enjoy sweets and coffee at the café. He was an excellent staff member. As expected of Okura Hotel. I will be staying for another three-night Multiple Night Stay at the beginning of the year, so I look forward to seeing you again.

I stayed at this Hotel for the first time after wanting to for a long time. I stayed in a Room with a terrace, and it was spacious enough to relax comfortably on the terrace or sofa. The Room was also kept very clean, which I was happy with. Breakfast was delicious as well. I would like to stay again.

From check-in to departure, it was a truly relaxing stay. Not only could I get away from the usual hustle and bustle, but I was also able to unwind in a space where I could feel nature in a different way than usual. The Hotel credit was included, so I enjoyed drinks at the bar as well. It was a wonderful time with excellent service and great drinks. I would love to stay again.

I used this place for the first time to meet a friend who lives along the Chuo Line. I chose it because of its high Reviews, and it made sense once I realized at check-in that it’s part of a karaoke chain I often use. It’s close to the station, and there are plenty of shops along the way, so you won’t have any trouble. Plus, inside the Facility you can enjoy various light snacks and drinks for free, which was a big help during this hot season since I didn’t have to walk around outside much. There’s no elevator in the Facility, so going back and forth between the 1st floor (lockers) and the 4th floor (dining area) is a bit tiring, but it’s manageable—almost like good exercise. Loungewear and towels are freely available, and amenities are well stocked throughout, so there’s no need to bring extra items. The large public bath was more spacious than expected, and I was surprised they even had both a mist sauna and a tent sauna. For light meals, they served ramen and dashi ochazuke from late afternoon into the evening. Drinks included alcohol as well. In the morning there were curry and dashi ochazuke, plus pancakes and cereal. It also seemed like miso soup and the drink bar were available at all times during my stay. I’ve stayed in many capsule hotels before, but thanks in part to how considerate other guests were, this was by far the most comfortable capsule experience I’ve had—including both amenities and overall comfort inside. The price may be slightly higher than average, but service is attentive down to small details, so overall satisfaction is high. I’d definitely like to stay again if I have another chance.

The location and the Room were truly wonderful. The staff’s greetings and service were very attentive, and they interacted with us at just the right distance, so we were able to enjoy a comfortable two-day stay. While many Hotels are cutting back on amenities, I was happy that everything here is high quality and provided in the Room so guests can relax and spend time comfortably. This time we had lunch at the Chinese restaurant Hisuien, and both the food and atmosphere were excellent. It’s a place I’d love to visit again. Breakfast at Amber Court was also delicious. I will definitely come back to stay again. Thank you very much.
