This Hotel was the very purpose of our trip to Kagawa Prefecture. We didn’t do any sightseeing at all, but from the bottom of my heart I’m so glad we came. Throughout the entire Facility, we could feel the owners’ attention to detail and refined sense of beauty in every corner, and at the same time we were truly grateful for their warm hospitality toward guests. Vintage and modern, Japan and Europe—things that are completely different were seamlessly combined through their sensibility. The interior design, the cuisine, and even its presentation were all wonderful and deeply inspiring. The old sofa in our Room had real character, was very comfortable to sit on, and matched perfectly with the modern furniture. Over time, the linen has developed such a beautiful color! I could really understand why the owner is so particular about that sofa. Also, since I’ve been considering buying the chair at the writing desk myself, I was happy to be able to try how it feels to sit in it. Everything they have selected was fascinating and exciting. Above all, their personalities are wonderful—we definitely want to come back again. (A stylish husband and an adorable wife!!) We’d love to stay in other Rooms as well, and see the garden in a different season too. For us, this was a truly meaningful encounter that brought new insights. This was my first stay, and just as everyone says, it was a truly wonderful Accommodation. The food was delicious, the Onsen water was silky-smooth, the staff were great, everything in the fridge was free, and the price was reasonable. The view was beautiful and very relaxing. Also, since I love drinks, I was thrilled by the wide selection of rice shochu... Thank you very much! I’ll definitely visit again.

This was our second stay. Since our third son (our beloved dog) joined our family five years ago, we only choose Accommodations where we can stay together, so we’ve stayed at many pet-friendly places around the Kanto area. With new Accommodations opening all the time, there are only a few we’ve ever revisited—but this one is exceptionally satisfying, so we returned during the Obon holiday period. With pet-friendly Accommodations, there’s often something you have to compromise on, but this place is almost perfect. The balcony of our guest Room had an open-air Onsen bath, a sauna, a cold plunge bath, and a relaxation area with a shower—plus an open-air bath for dogs. Inside the Room, there was a theater room with two massage chairs and a dining room where you can enjoy meals in your Room. The French cuisine served there is truly delicious. Recently, more and more Accommodations have excellent Facilities, but I don’t know any other place where you can enjoy food of this quality in your Room with your dog. Once again, everything was absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for the best Accommodation to stay with your dog, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

As the property is relatively new, the building, Facility, and amenities were all new and spotless. The appliances were thoughtfully selected too—I liked them so much I wanted to use them at home, and I even bought some after returning. Since it is set a little back from the road, we were able to spend our time in peace and quiet. We also encountered wild rabbits and deer, which made it feel like a true getaway. Despite the typhoon’s impact, we still enjoyed a barbecue! Our dog seemed to have a great time as well. We would love to stay again.

We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of four nights. Above all, this Accommodation is truly pet-friendly. We visited with both a dog and a cat, and they both seemed relaxed and happy. There were plenty of pet amenities, plus a dog run and more. We could stay with peace of mind, and all the staff clearly love animals, which made our time here even more special. The Japanese staff were wonderful as expected, and the international staff were also incredibly polite—so much so that we could have mistaken them for Japanese staff. They always greeted us with warm smiles, and it made us feel that the training and working environment at this Accommodation must be excellent. The staff deserve more than five stars. Meals are à la carte style, so you can choose whatever you like each day in any amount you want. This was especially appreciated for a Multiple Night Stay, and every dish was above average in taste. They offer a great balance of both Japanese and Western options, so we never got tired of the food. Everything was delicious every day. Alcohol (including drinks at the evening bar) as well as beverages in the Room refrigerator are inclusive, which is very reassuring for those who drink. Also included was 30 minutes of spa treatment per day—having a massage daily was truly healing. The Room size was neither too large nor too small—perfect for two people—and it was well designed and easy to use. The hot spring water left our skin smooth and glossy; it was excellent. Both the indoor bath and open-air bath are free-flowing from the source, and we could adjust both water volume and temperature using only source water. It’s pure luxury. These days many Hotels and Ryokan only allow smoking in designated areas, so being able to smoke on our private terrace attached to the Room is something smokers will really appreciate, especially if you want to enjoy a drink on the terrace while having a smoke. Because the terrace is surrounded by high walls, our cat could also go out safely for walks. Cats tend to run off easily, so it’s rare to let them stroll freely—this was another great point. Our cat enjoyed walking around comfortably. It was our first time visiting Kikuchi City. There are many wonderful places nearby including Kikuchi Gorge, and Aso is less than about an hour away as well, making sightseeing very convenient. Since there is a university stable near this Accommodation, there may occasionally be a slight animal smell, but that isn’t an issue caused by this Accommodation itself. And since this is an Accommodation people choose specifically because they love animals enough to travel with pets, I felt it’s simply not something to worry about (it didn’t bother me). This is a fantastic Accommodation where you can truly relax with your pets. Thank you very much.

I visited during the rainy season, a time I don’t usually choose. Both dinner and breakfast featured exquisite dishes that felt refreshingly cool to the eye and captured the early-summer atmosphere, lifting the gloom of the rainy skies. What makes this Accommodation truly exceptional is being able to enjoy outstanding cuisine at any time, thoughtfully crafted to reflect the season through sight, aroma, and taste. I also deeply appreciate the warm, friendly hospitality shown by all of the staff.

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. We were satisfied with everything—the service, the Room, the bath, and the meals. The meals were so delicious that my mother, who usually has no appetite at all, finished everything. We truly hope to visit again. Thank you very much.

This was our eighth stay. Ever since our first visit, the Room, the private bath, and the surroundings of the Hotel have been very comfortable, and the meals are delicious. We stay about once a year, and it has become something my wife and I truly look forward to. This time as well, the food was excellent—especially the Chateaubriand, which was outstanding. Although it was rainy and we didn’t go to Mount Koya this time, we were able to see exceptionally beautiful flowering peach trees and weeping cherry blossoms around Sanso Amanosato.

My friend and I stayed for one night and two days. That morning, we joined a river kayaking tour, and since there were no changing facilities near the river, I asked if it would be okay to arrive still wearing our wet wetsuits. They kindly agreed, which I truly appreciated. We were dropped off by the tour staff, and the moment we arrived, the breathtaking view of a beautiful infinity pool under a clear blue sky spread out before us—I couldn’t help but shout, “Wow, amazing!” We were shown to seats by the poolside, and even before checking in my friend said, “Wow… I should’ve brought my laptop. Next time we have to bring our laptops and stay longer for a workcation.” We were then shown to our Room. When I tried to open my suitcase, it wouldn’t open—an unexpected mishap—but after speaking with the butler right away they prepared an adorable tracksuit that could be worn over swimwear and arranged a rental car for us. Thanks to that, we were able to get it opened at a local gas station we had found in advance. For dinner, they prepared a handmade welcome plate inspired by the kayaking experience and the sea turtle nesting observation tour we had done—it was moving from the moment we sat down. Every dish was something new to us and absolutely delicious; in particular, I loved the peach sorbet served by the pastry chef. We got so caught up in eating and chatting that we stayed late, yet the chef still came out with a smile to see us off all the way until we boarded the golf cart back to our Room. The next morning we joined a kokedama (moss ball) workshop and enjoyed making one while learning all kinds of things about plants. I’ve forgotten the plant’s name now, but when I mentioned that I like tea, they also wrapped large leaves that can be enjoyed as tea together with my kokedama. We were probably the noisiest guests during our stay as just two people, yet everyone treated us with kindness until the very end—I’m nothing but grateful. Next time, I plan to bring my laptop and come back for a longer workcation stay.

I visited again for the first time in about four years. Every area was thoroughly cleaned, and the Room was exceptionally spotless. For example, even the glass on the glass-fronted dish cabinet in the Room was shining—of course, so were the glasses. The mirrors, glass doors, and even the stainless-steel toilet paper holder in the restroom were gleaming, without a single fingerprint. Every large public bath was immaculate as well. All of the food was made with incredibly fresh ingredients—I’m amazed at how they managed to source everything. The staff were modest yet wonderfully pleasant; just being here makes me happy. Katsuragi Kitano-maru is a space that goes beyond “the best.”

I was worried about the heat, but the temperature dropped at just the right time, making for a very pleasant stay. There was no mention of it at check-in, but it seems our Room was upgraded, and I was truly impressed by how spacious and beautiful it was. The afternoon tea and breakfast were also excellent, and we were very satisfied. All of the staff were extremely kind, so we could stay comfortably. I definitely want to stay here again. We had a truly wonderful stay. We stayed for two nights with our 1-year-old daughter. Dinner and breakfast were included, and the food was outstanding. They thoughtfully accommodated our child’s meals, taking her egg allergy and the size of the ingredients into consideration, and she was very happy. The staff also looked after her throughout, so we could enjoy our meal with peace of mind. The Room has special touches that help you forget the busyness of everyday life. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy an extraordinary experience we don’t usually get to have. We would love to return again next time.

I always spend the summer in Hokkaido, and this time I visited Niseko again after a long time. Niseko seems to have changed quite a bit recently, and I chose this place because I wanted to see what it’s like now while also sensing an atmosphere somewhat like Karuizawa. The Hotel Room had a spacious layout that I really loved, and the Onsen was amazing—open 24 hours with free-flowing natural spring water. Dinner, one of the true highlights of traveling, was also outstanding. It was my first time having a chef prepare and serve each dish fresh right in front of me, and I truly enjoyed such a luxurious meal. The service was attentive down to the smallest details, and I was deeply impressed. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay here again.

We stayed at Sedona for our first trip with our dog. I had a general sense of the atmosphere from photos, but seeing it in person was truly moving. A spacious property with a wonderful building that feels like being abroad. The appliances and the little items in the Room were all stylish and adorable!! Above all, our dog was the happiest, going back and forth between the garden and the Room again and again. Seeing that made my spouse and me incredibly happy! It’s far, so we can’t come back easily, but we would love to return here again. Thank you very much for providing such an amazing Accommodation!!

While Accommodations with Onsen and breakfast and dinner included are wonderful, we were hoping for a stay that felt more like living locally. We stayed as a couple, and the simple layout—kitchen, dining area, bedroom, toilet, and shower—was impressive and made for a very comfortable stay. The owner’s mural was gentle and blended beautifully with the interior, creating a lovely atmosphere. We were told that in winter all rooms have underfloor heating so you can stay comfortable even in short sleeves, so we’d love to visit again in another season. There’s an OGINO supermarket nearby as well as a butcher shop; we enjoyed basashi and relaxed with Yamanashi wine (the kitchen knife wasn’t very sharp, but honestly it felt safer that way). Partway through our stay, the owner stopped by to check on us and shared stories about life at Lake Yamanaka—more than anything else, that became our favorite memory and made us feel at ease. It was a truly wonderful stay. Thank you very much.

It was a wonderful Accommodation, just as rumored. The Onsen on the first floor was especially impressive. The service was very attentive, and since we arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled meal time, they kindly allowed us to delay it. When making the Reservation, I had ordered a birthday cake, and they also prepared a birthday melody played on a music box, a small flower basket, and even celebratory bite-sized sekihan (red bean rice) and sweets—it truly moved me.

I stayed at Hotel Mukaitaki in Tsuchiyu Onsen. What I especially loved this time were the cuisine, the open-air bath in the Room, and the strong sense of privacy. Dinner was carefully prepared dish by dish, and the surf clam shabu-shabu and Fukushima beef were outstanding. The surf clam’s texture and sweetness and the rich flavor of the Fukushima beef were both excellent—these were the most memorable dishes of my stay. Above all, the open-air bath in the Room was amazing. Being able to enjoy the Onsen freely at any time without worrying about others is truly special. Perhaps because there are only a few Rooms, I hardly ran into other guests during my stay. The building was very quiet and felt extremely private. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to relax at an Onsen Accommodation without being concerned about other people. The staff’s thoughtfulness was also wonderful—they escorted me to and from the parking lot at both arrival and departure. They even gave me souvenir rice balls on my way home. It was warm hospitality from start to finish.

This was my first stay. (Room name: Akebono-an) It was extremely comfortable, and I was able to relax and take my time. All of the staff were very kind, and it left a strong impression on me how they always greeted me with a smile. In particular, the staff member in charge of our Room supported us thoughtfully in every way—from day-to-day needs to sightseeing advice and suggestions—and I truly appreciated it. They also kindly accommodated a change to the Shuttle Service pickup/drop-off location due to our circumstances, and they handled food allergies properly as well, so we were able to stay with peace of mind. The Room had a modern, sophisticated design and was wonderful. Everything was thoroughly cleaned down to the smallest details, and it felt very fresh and spotless. I was also happy that it even had a mist sauna. Above all, the mountain views from the Room were spectacular, and we could spend time leisurely while enjoying the open scenery. Also, because meals were served in-room, we could relax in a quiet environment without worrying about surrounding noise—this was another highlight. The amenities (such as Touvert lotion) were high quality as well, and you could feel the attention to detail throughout. On the other hand, there were a few points that I felt could make it even more comfortable. If a hair iron were provided, it would be more convenient for women. Also, for indoor slippers within the building: rather than using them only up to the shoe cabinet partway down the corridor, I felt it would be clearer if guests could wear them all the way to each Room entrance—so you don’t have to walk barefoot or risk slippers being mixed up. Regarding the Room design: I thought removing closet doors and making it open would not only improve usability but also better match the current modern and refined atmosphere. The lighting around the washbasin area was slightly dim, which felt somewhat inconvenient when getting ready. I moved a tabletop mirror into the dining area to do my makeup; if that area could be made brighter around the sink counter, it would be easier to use. Also regarding shower fixtures: having an additional holder positioned at a height suitable for showering while standing would be even more convenient. I’ve listed several requests above; however overall this was an extremely satisfying stay. Thanks to everyone’s warm hospitality among your staff members at this Accommodation , we were able to spend our time comfortably and at ease. We would love to visit again.
