We enjoyed a “staycation,” with lounge hopping across four lounges as the main highlight. First, we walked from Shinagawa Station to the Hotel, but IKYU’s directions said “cross Daiichi Keihan…,” so we crossed the signal right after exiting the Takanawa Exit. However, the route to the right after crossing was blocked due to construction, so we had to turn back. After exiting the Takanawa Exit, it’s best to turn right and walk along Daiichi Keihan, then turn left at the first traffic light onto Sakura-zaka. Alternatively, since it’s a continuous uphill slope, I think taking the shuttle bus would be a good option. We visited all four lounges, and as expected, Hana-Kouro’s lounge was the most relaxing; the drinks were also of higher quality and excellent. The champagne during cocktail time—and Dassai—was a real treat. We also enjoyed tasting different sake. There were some light bites during cocktail time, but it would have been even better if there had been additional hors d’oeuvres. Breakfast was delicious as well. It was our first time trying a matcha grinding experience, and we really enjoyed it. At the lounge, the staff maintained just the right level of attentiveness throughout without being intrusive, which made it very comfortable. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. I have stayed here several times, and it remains a wonderful Hotel. The staff are excellent, and the meals are outstanding and delicious. This time, I also enjoyed seasonal ingredients that felt like summer and was very satisfied. The Room is also lovely, with beautiful fittings and flooring. It is quiet and relaxing. Whenever I come here, I can spend my time slowly and peacefully, which I really appreciate. I would definitely like to stay again.

Last summer, after renting a nearby vacation home and visiting Morito Beach, we discovered SCAPES THE SUITE. We made a Reservation because we were drawn to the easy beach access and the property’s atmosphere, and we had been looking forward to our stay. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy the sea with our family, including our two young daughters. We used the pick-up and drop-off service from Zushi Station, and being greeted by a classic Cedric taxi instantly set a resort mood. We arrived a little early and planned to wait in the lobby, but perhaps because of my IKYU Diamond membership, we were shown to our Room right away. It was the twin “Mandarin Orange.” It felt more spacious than expected, with the Shonan sea right in front of us and Enoshima clearly visible at all times. Due to the weather we only caught a faint glimpse of Mt. Fuji for a moment, but having the ocean always in view was truly soothing. After the concierge kindly showed us around the Room, they helped arrange our one-hour private jacuzzi time (per Room) as well as breakfast time. We were worried about an approaching typhoon, but fortunately it took a course that didn’t affect us much—so we even enjoyed occasional sunshine. Our daughters’ family was able to swim several times, while we grandparents stayed in the Room caring for our 7-month-old grandchild. It was wonderfully relaxing. With children aged three and zero with us, we ate out for dinner; however, the Hotel restaurant also looked very appealing. This time we only had breakfast and lunch here, but next time we would love to try dinner as well. No matter where you look from within this property—the balcony or even from the jacuzzi—the view of the sea never gets old. That scenery itself felt like your greatest hospitality. We also strongly felt how much everyone working there loves Hayama—and loves this Hotel. The pride and care of both the concierge team and those serving at breakfast/the restaurant really came through. We were also delighted by your gift: Genbei’s famous beach sandals. You coordinated sizes and colors for each family member perfectly—our daughters’ family was thrilled. Finally, after receiving an outstanding carrot dressing as well, we headed home feeling refreshed. Not only in summer but in any season, SCAPES is a place where you can truly relax—and we would love to return again. Thank you very much to everyone at the Hotel.

This was my first visit to Fukui Prefecture, and I’m truly glad I chose Awara Onsen. The Room was clean and comfortable, and I had a very relaxing stay. The staff were warm and attentive while keeping the perfect distance, and their detailed guidance on local sightseeing made the trip even more fulfilling. The meals were delicious and beautifully presented. The Onsen temperature was slightly on the hot side in a pleasant way, and I really enjoyed both the large public bath and the in-room bath. I would love to visit again.

We visited to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday. It was a long drive from Yokohama to Nagano, but this was a wonderful Accommodation that truly made us glad we came. The in-room open-air bath was a little hot and needed some adjustment, but it was clean, spacious, and free of insects. The shampoo and conditioner also left our hair smooth and silky. (Some Ryokan at this level still leave your hair feeling rough.) All the staff who welcomed us were smiling, and during dinner the head chef served the main dish right at our table. Everything was delicious—made with local ingredients and carefully prepared with great attention to detail. On our way out, they even opened the souvenir shop in the main building earlier for us, so I was happy to be able to buy the souvenirs I wanted. My parents were very pleased as well, so we would love to visit again while they are still healthy.

Because it’s close to Zao, this was my first stay at this Accommodation. To put it mildly, it’s one of the best Accommodations I’ve ever stayed at. It’s fairly large, so the interiors and lobby are well appointed, but above all it’s quiet and comfortable. The large public bath with an open-air bath is excellent as well, and the teppanyaki cuisine was outstanding. There was nothing to complain about. The service struck just the right balance of attentiveness and distance, and everything was impeccably clean—I truly enjoyed my stay.

We stayed to celebrate my partner’s birthday. In our Room, there were welcome fruits, a towel cake and cake for the birthday celebration, and a message card from the Hotel staff. I initially wondered if paying around 100,000 yen for one night in Kyoto—an easy day trip—might be a bit too extravagant, but we also received Hotel credit as an IKYU Gold member benefit, and overall it turned out to be a very satisfying stay. We enjoyed the Hotel activities and the bath facilities, and I was also happy with the daruma we received when leaving. After turndown service, the soft drinks in the refrigerator had been replenished as well. These days more Hotels don’t even offer turndown service, so I felt that Six Senses really takes care of those details—exactly as you’d expect. For me it was definitely a splurge stay, but since our satisfaction level was high, I’d love to come back again when I have the chance.

The meals were delicious, and having a private family bath allowed us to relax and enjoy our stay. I was happy that yukata-style loungewear was provided. I did feel the waistband elastic could have been a bit tighter, but it was still comfortable to wear. We could sense thoughtful attention in many little details, which made us feel warmly welcomed. Everything about the Accommodation—the Room, the meals, and the staff—was excellent and very satisfying. In particular, I was soothed by the soft, gentle waters of Sujiyu Onsen. The bath in the Room was wonderful, and I was able to relax and take my time.

My companion uses a wheelchair, but thanks to the thoughtful support from all the staff, we were able to stay comfortably. The staff member who assisted us was kind, easy to talk to, and truly wonderful (I would be happy if they could assist us again next time). We will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

This was our third summer here. This year again, I stayed with my daughter. It was another scorching summer, and we had been spending our days in temperatures higher than body temperature, but Yufuin felt like a different world—so cool and refreshing. In the mornings and evenings, the air was pleasantly chilly with a gentle breeze. Even while soaking in the Onsen, it felt truly comfortable. The Onsen here is wonderful, and even in summer you can relax and soak at ease. The wind was strong due to an approaching typhoon, but the soothing rustling of the trees made it even nicer. Needless to say, every dish was delicious. We enjoyed flavors we’d never had before—it was such a pleasure. We’re always amazed by the chef’s creativity. Thank you as well to all the staff for your courteous service. We were able to relax completely. It became a fun and healing trip for just me and my daughter. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

I was looking for a Hotel around Lake Toya where I could stay with my dog, and chose this Hotel— it was truly an outstanding experience. Both breakfast and dinner were exceptionally delicious, and I was completely satisfied. The facilities were clean and modern, and all the staff were wonderful. The only thing I noticed was that although you should be able to enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Toya from the bath, the outside view was blocked for privacy reasons. That part was a little disappointing. Other than that, everything was perfect, and we had a very comfortable stay with our dog. I would love to visit again!

At IKYU, it was categorized as casual, but we enjoyed a luxurious Onsen experience that felt like staying at a private villa. The Room had a spacious washroom, and the toilet being separate was also convenient. The heater in the Room was turned on in advance, so we stayed warm without needing to use the air conditioner. Various thoughtful touches were noticeable throughout, and I heard that adjustments are made regularly. It had such a pleasant atmosphere that made us wish to stay longer. Here are some points of concern: It would be helpful if spare foot mats were provided for the private bath so they can be replaced after use. The abundance of wash towels was very convenient. A single fresh flower in the Room would add charm since there were flowers in the dining area. During meal service, providing more details about local ingredients or cooking methods would be appreciated by travelers—it may require extra effort from staff but makes for enjoyable conversations while savoring meals. Having a menu list would also enhance the dining experience further.

While looking for a Hotel near Churaumi Aquarium, I chose this Accommodation because it had excellent Reviews on every site I checked. We stayed in a family Room, and it was spacious and spotless—our kids were thrilled the moment they saw it! Since you take off your shoes before entering, it felt very clean, which we really appreciated. The bath area was also clean, and as a family that loves bathing, having a large public bath was a big plus. The morning bath felt wonderful too. We had both dinner and breakfast at the buffet. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious. We had buffets at Resort Hotels on the two previous days as well, but the Okinawan dishes here—such as umi-budo (sea grapes), Okinawa soba, goya champuru, and tacos—were the best at Litt Hotel Nakijin. There was also sashimi, and the seafood rice bowl was excellent! The staff were kind, and we were completely satisfied with everything about this Hotel. When we visit Okinawa again, we would definitely like to stay here again. I’m glad we could spend our last night of our Okinawa trip at such a wonderful Hotel. Thank you very much!

I truly enjoyed Kanazawa’s cuisine from the bottom of my heart. I learned so much—about Kanazawa’s culture and local ingredients. This is purely my personal impression, but I felt that the guest rooms, dining, and hospitality were on par with the luxury Hotels I have stayed at in Japan and abroad, such as Aman, Bulgari, Okura, and Palace.

We stayed for two nights with three generations, and everyone was thoroughly satisfied—not only with the magnificent views from the lobby and our Room, but also with the wonderful hospitality and delicious meals. The staff’s attentive, warm service and smiles were especially memorable, and we felt a gentle, clear, pleasant atmosphere throughout the Hotel. Shizuoka has many sightseeing spots, including a history museum that children can enjoy and Shizuoka Municipal Nihondaira Zoo (this zoo has many thoughtful touches and is truly recommended), so every generation can have a great time. After check-out, we also went to Shimizu Port to enjoy dining and shopping. We visited several attractions including Toshogu Shrine, but there was so much to see that next time we would like to stay at this Hotel again and take more time to fully enjoy both the places we visited this time as well. Last time, the chef’s heartfelt cuisine was wonderful, so this time I booked a Multiple Night Stay. The food exceeded my expectations and truly moved me.\nThe hospitality of all the staff was also top-notch.\nThis is an Accommodation I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

This was my first stay since the COVID-19 pandemic. They upgraded our Room, and the service had improved wonderfully as well. I stay on the club floor every time, and I could feel the staff’s thoughtfulness in every detail, making my time comfortable both in the lounge and in the Room. The lounge food was delicious, and the Chinese cuisine at Hoshigaoka was also excellent. The Chinese tea in particular was outstanding—I wanted to buy some to take home, but it wasn’t available for sale, which was disappointing. I would like to stay again for next year’s vacation. My spouse and I stayed for one night and two days. We love traveling and usually stay at luxury hotels, and this Hotel was truly wonderful! We stayed in the Deluxe A type. The Room was very spacious and spotless. All minibar items (snacks, coffee, drinks in the refrigerator, etc.) were complimentary, and everything felt carefully selected with no compromises—really enjoyable. The best part was the in-room Onsen with an open view! Since our Room was on the first floor, there were no tall fences or glass panels, so all we could see was the forest scenery—it felt incredibly open. It was one of the best open-air bath experiences we’ve ever had. All staff members were kind and attentive, without the forced politeness or stiffness that can be common at Hotels. Thanks to that, we felt comfortable throughout our stay. We also used the private bath, which was great as well. It could be used contactlessly with a dedicated card key, cold water was prepared in the refrigerator, and there were coffee milk drinks and ice cream placed along the hallway—thoughtful services clearly designed with guests in mind. This time we made a Reservation for the shabu-shabu Plan, and we were surprised by how much food there was. We assumed it would be a simple course with a small appetizer plus shabu-shabu, but it turned out to be more like a full standard course meal with shabu-shabu served as the main. It felt like more than double a typical course portion size, so I recommend arriving very hungry. Breakfast—both Japanese-style and Western-style—was delicious, with plenty of variety and satisfying portions. One regret is that both dinner and breakfast were served in an inner private dining room, so we couldn’t enjoy any views while eating. Out of three parties who arrived around the same time as us, two were seated by windows while only we were guided to an inner private room—that was a bit disappointing. I understand window seats are limited so it may not be avoidable; still, if we have another chance next time I’d love to dine by the window. Overall, it was an amazing two days enjoying exceptional service and our in-room Onsen. We would definitely love to return!
