We stayed in Yokohama on the first day, visited Yokosuka on the second day, and decided to stay overnight on the Miura Peninsula. The Accommodation is a renovated historic building, and the interior beautifully preserves the original design from that time—it was truly charming and moving. Our child was also surprised at how spacious and clean it was. Miura may not have the flashy feel of other tourist spots, but we were impressed by how many buildings have a nostalgic, old-fashioned atmosphere. In the evening we went to a nearby seafood restaurant, and it was outstanding. I also highly recommend riding the Nijiiro Sakana-go. The staff at the Accommodation were very kind as well. Thank you very much.

I was finally able to stay at Shima Kanko Hotel The Bay Suite, which I had long admired. It was an even more wonderful holiday than I expected. The staff’s service, the cuisine, and the Room were all outstanding—I was truly impressed. If I have the opportunity, I would love to visit again. Thank you very much for taking such great care of me.

We stayed for two nights with No Meals Included. This trip was to give our dog a second try at the pool and to celebrate his 15th birthday, and we were truly impressed by how comfortable and relaxing the stay was—beyond what we had imagined. What made us happiest was the pool where both dogs and people can swim together. Accommodations like this are surprisingly rare, so that alone makes it special. At night it’s beautifully lit up, creating a completely different atmosphere from daytime. Another highlight for us was how well equipped the kitchen is. The tableware isn’t plastic, and there’s a great selection in both quantity and variety. They even provided wine glasses in a wooden box, and the system kitchen was as easy to use as if we were at home. The sink is spacious, and there are plenty of cooking appliances such as a rice cooker. Rather than enjoying meals provided by the Accommodation, our style is to choose local ingredients at our destination and cook until we’re fully satisfied—so having such an easy-to-use kitchen was something we really appreciated. Thanks to that, we finally got to have our long-awaited spiny lobster feast (lol). With many private rental Accommodations, the living/bedroom area and the dining kitchen are often in separate buildings for BBQs and such. Here, however, the living room, dining area, kitchen, and bedroom are all in one building—so even in cold weather or on rainy days there’s no hassle of moving between buildings. Being able to spend time with that “at-home” feeling felt especially valuable. Also, some dog-friendly Accommodations with pools don’t have a washing machine, but this one has a drum-type washer-dryer—which was another great plus. It was very convenient for washing/drying bath towels or spinning swimsuits dry. Our dog also absolutely loved the large cushion bed—we even found ourselves thinking, “Maybe we should buy one for home.” This is our fifth place staying with our dog, and it’s been the best by far! We’d love to stay again.

It was an absolutely amazing stay. I was truly impressed by the outstanding, well-equipped Facility that anticipated every need. The staff were very considerate with the luggage we sent in advance, prepared a pool for the children, and even when an accident happened, their first words were to check on us. Talking with friends around the barbecue, setting off fireworks with the kids under the sunset sky, and looking up at the stars late at night—every moment became a wonderful memory. My only regret is that because it was so hot, we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor facilities outside the cottage, such as basketball and the trampoline. We will definitely visit again next year. Thank you very much.

They upgraded us to a suite Room—both nights! The Room was very spacious, spotless, and felt extremely clean, and the Facility was great. We also used the large public bath; it was an Onsen and felt wonderful, and it was clean as well. I was impressed that the in-room drinks included Takarabou Onsen water. Breakfast was delicious, especially the bread. The tables were spaced far apart, so we could relax and really enjoy our breakfast. Thanks to Sundays, our trip to Amami Oshima became a wonderful one. The staff were kind as well. We will definitely stay again next time! Thank you very much.

Check-in starts at 2:00 PM, but we were able to use the dog run even if we arrived earlier, which made both us and our dog very happy! The all-inclusive plan was truly luxurious, with a wide variety of drinks and even light snacks—absolutely fantastic. They also had treats and cake for dogs! The Room was spacious and comfortable. Dinner was a gorgeous course meal, and the freshly baked bread in particular was delicious—we were so happy we could get refills. The next morning, our dog jumped out of the cart and couldn’t walk, so we consulted a male staff member at reception. He called several nearby animal hospitals for us, which helped us so much. They also changed our breakfast to takeout—thank you very much for your support. It’s a wonderful Hotel and we were completely satisfied!! This is an amazing Hotel that I want to recommend to everyone. Thank you so much. We will definitely come again! We are truly grateful to the staff.

We stayed in Building D, which is pet-friendly. Everything was spotless and very comfortable. There’s honestly nothing to criticize, so here are a few tips to help you enjoy your stay even more. Jacuzzi / Open-air bath / Pool: 　Bringing a swimsuit is recommended. Stink bugs (currently a large outbreak): 　It’s helpful to bring sticky tape for removal. Bakery: 　There’s a great bakery nearby. Amenities: 　High-quality POLA amenities are provided, so you only need to bring the basics. To fully enjoy it: 　You’ll probably want to stay two nights. Appliances: 　Most appliances are available, but there doesn’t seem to be an air fryer (probably). Shirarahama Beach: 　It’s just under 2 km away—slightly far. Dogs aren’t allowed on Shirarahama Beach, which is disappointing, but the beauty of the beach is amazing.

From the moment we arrived at the pier, our escape from everyday life began. Everyone at the Accommodation was kind and welcoming, making our stay truly comfortable. Soon after arriving, we took a walk along the summit promenade and were uplifted by the breathtaking views. The Onsen was wonderful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meals. It was a stay that made us sincerely want to return again when we have the chance.

Our family stayed for one night. The Accommodation was excellent, and all the staff were truly kind, so we had a very pleasant stay. Thank you very much. When we checked in, we received a 100th-anniversary booklet for a Ryokan at Tateshina Onsen (a sister property?). It sounded familiar, so after returning home I checked and found that we had actually stayed there when my son was still very young (nearly 20 years ago), because the tatami-mat bath felt safe for children. I’m sorry to say I had completely forgotten, but it felt like a wonderful connection. Next time, I would love to visit Tateshina Onsen as well along with this Accommodation.

We visited as a family with our older children and their friends, along with our younger child. The older kids enjoyed SUP in the sea and the sauna, while the younger one fully enjoyed the pool. Since we had several boys with big appetites, we had a BBQ dinner using ingredients we brought with us. The seasonings and cooking utensils were well stocked, so we were able to prepare and enjoy our meal without any inconvenience. All of the staff were incredibly kind, and unlike many other places there weren’t lots of small rules or restrictions. They also kindly accommodated our requests, which made our stay very comfortable.\nThe amenities were high quality (including N organic), and the hair dryer and hair care items were all from ReFa, which my older daughter and I happily used.\nIn the morning we could even see Mt. Fuji across the sea—the views were simply amazing—and our whole family had a wonderful time. The only downside was that at bedtime, on both the first and second floors, the emergency exit signs were bright and a bit dazzling, making it slightly hard to sleep. Still, everything else was so great that we would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much!

I stayed for one night on March 29. I chose March because it was just before the spiny lobster fishing ban. This time I booked a luxurious spa Plan, so it was pricey, but it was absolutely worth the cost. The cuisine, spa, Onsen, Room Facilities, and service were all top-tier. As expected from HIRAMATSU, every dish was delicious. The dish made with the spiny lobster head felt a bit heavy for me, but everything else was perfect. The spiny lobster bisque at breakfast was outstanding. The bread and butter at both dinner and breakfast were also excellent. The spa was wonderful—comparable to the Mandarin Hotel’s spa. The Onsen and Room Facilities were also superb; there is nothing to complain about. Service from the manager, head chef, staff, and spa team was flawless. I’d like to return next year during abalone season. I recommend avoiding weekends at the end of March. That’s when F1 Japanese Grand Prix qualifying and the race are held at Suzuka, so Nagoya Station gets extremely crowded and nearby roads are heavily congested. On top of that, Ise Jingu Naiku Shrine was also packed due to a yokozuna dedication sumo event—but I consider it a good experience overall.

The cleanliness and well-equipped Facility you’d expect from a large Hotel really stood out. The Hotel’s large public bath was excellent, but the Ocean Spa fuua was even better—its seamless connection with the sea and the open, partition-free standing bath were outstanding. At night, we were lucky to be able to watch Yugawara’s fireworks from our Room. As for dining, if I had one wish, it would be having two venues instead of just one—then even a Multiple Night Stay might feel less repetitive.

Perhaps because we stayed on a weekday when there were fewer guests, we were able to enjoy a calm and relaxing time. It was quiet and surrounded by the sounds of nature, and even our senior dog could play to their heart’s content. The meals also reflect a dedicated commitment to gastrotourism, showcasing great care and impressive skill. With only the essential services provided, we appreciated the kindness of being given space to relax freely.

We stayed for one night during extreme heat. The Hotel was very clean, we were extremely satisfied with the Room amenities, and the staff’s service was flawless—overall a truly satisfying stay. There don’t seem to be many places nearby to explore on foot, but the Hotel itself has a pool for dogs and a dog run (a bit small), so it seems like there’s plenty to enjoy in summer. The meals were delicious, and service was quick—we never had to wait after ordering drinks. We even had seconds of rice! If I had to mention one thing, travel might be faster if expressways or toll roads extended further… but that’s separate from evaluating the Hotel. We’d like to stay again.

This was my first stay here. I have stayed at other Regina Resorts before, so I felt reassured, but this exceeded my expectations. From the warm welcome on arrival by car to the attentive check-in service, everything was handled with great care. I was a little worried that the standard Room might feel small, but it was well designed, compact, and very easy to use. The Italian dinner was delicious and left both my stomach and heart full. Breakfast was also satisfying, and the staff were thoughtful and wonderful throughout. I would definitely like to stay again.

This was my first solo trip, and I stayed here for the first time. Just as the Accommodation’s concept promises, I was able to enjoy a quiet, extraordinary escape and was very satisfied. The food was delicious and generous in portion size, and best of all, it was brought to my Room so I could relax and dine there at my own pace! I stayed in summer, but even in the open-air bath I didn’t see any insects at all, so I could enjoy it comfortably again and again. Perhaps effective insect prevention measures were in place. Thank you for such a relaxing stay. This is an Accommodation I would love to visit again.

This is my favorite Hotel. This time, I visited with my grandchild for the first time, and we had a wonderful time. The meal at Cape Mondo was also very delicious. However, I was disappointed that the seahorses were gone. I would love to have seahorses kept there again so I can hold one. Whenever I went to the Seahorse restaurant, I always made sure to see them. Thank you in advance.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. There was only one reason I came to Shirahama: To stay at Kuroshio Sou. When people think of Shirahama, many picture the sea and resorts. But what I found here was Wakayama itself. What moved me most at this Accommodation was not only how outstanding the food was. It was Head Chef Etani’s exceptional skill, and his deep respect for the producers who support every single dish. Fishermen. Farmers. Brewers. Roasters. And the artisans who continue to protect Japan’s fermentation culture. The moment I saw the map of producers introduced alongside the meal, I understood what this Accommodation truly values. Through the cuisine, you encounter not only ingredients, but also the people behind them and Wakayama’s climate and character. I was especially impressed by how delicious the soy sauce and Kinzanji miso were at dinner. When I asked about them, I learned they were from Horigawaya Nomura—a producer with over 350 years of history that still preserves traditional craftsmanship using firewood-heated iron kettles—making both their soy sauce and Kinzanji miso in that way today as well. I had originally planned to visit a different soy sauce brewery, but heavy rain made it impossible. Sometimes, the places you cannot reach end up guiding you to the story you were truly meant to find. For me, Kuroshio Sou was exactly that kind of place. The wonderful Onsen gently healed not only my body, but my mind as well. The quiet comfort throughout the building, Chef Etani’s cuisine, and the hospitality of all staff— together they quietly express this Accommodation’s philosophy in everything it does。 As a former chef from Tasmania, there is something I felt deeply: True hospitality is not just serving delicious food; it is helping guests connect with the people and culture that sustain a place。 I now have one more reason to return to Wakayama。 Thank you again from my heart.

We stayed one night in the Modern Japanese Suite for our 2-year-old child’s birthday. The building, service quality, and food were all outstanding. Just as rumored, the impressive architecture, interiors, and many artworks felt extraordinary and were a joy to take in. The Room was also wonderful—the bay view was beautiful, and the clean, simple design made it very comfortable. The bath area was very spacious, with lounge chairs throughout where you could relax. Drinks were available inside as well, making it a bath you could happily stay in for hours. The changing room was kept clean too, with staff frequently replacing towels. In particular, the open-air bath at the large public bath on the first floor was surrounded by nature and truly excellent. And true to its name “King’s Buffet,” the selection was abundant and everything was delicious. The dinner steak and the seafood rice bowl at breakfast were of a quality you wouldn’t expect from a buffet—we were extremely satisfied. Because it was our child’s birthday, they took commemorative photos in the lobby at check-in and gave us printed photos at check-out. We were deeply impressed by their hospitality as well. It was a truly wonderful one-night stay. This is a Hotel we would definitely love to stay at again. Thank you very much.

The building was new and very clean, and the Room was thoroughly cleaned down to every corner. It was spacious, and we had a very comfortable stay. The meals were also delicious. Although the staff were from overseas, they were kind and helpful—thank you very much. As it was our 13th wedding anniversary, we also received a surprise dessert plate—thank you very much.
