This was our second stay. Since our third son (our beloved dog) joined our family five years ago, we only choose Accommodations where we can stay together, so we’ve stayed at many pet-friendly places around the Kanto area. With new Accommodations opening all the time, there are only a few we’ve ever revisited—but this one is exceptionally satisfying, so we returned during the Obon holiday period. With pet-friendly Accommodations, there’s often something you have to compromise on, but this place is almost perfect. The balcony of our guest Room had an open-air Onsen bath, a sauna, a cold plunge bath, and a relaxation area with a shower—plus an open-air bath for dogs. Inside the Room, there was a theater room with two massage chairs and a dining room where you can enjoy meals in your Room. The French cuisine served there is truly delicious. Recently, more and more Accommodations have excellent Facilities, but I don’t know any other place where you can enjoy food of this quality in your Room with your dog. Once again, everything was absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for the best Accommodation to stay with your dog, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

This was our first stay here, and among all the places we’ve visited, it was the best Accommodation for Western-style cuisine. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality from welcome to farewell. The Room (very relaxing) and the bath (the in-room bath was more than enough) were both excellent. Above all, the meals were outstanding—both dinner and breakfast. Each dish was beautifully presented (including the tableware) and delicious, and we were amazed by how many items there were in the Japanese breakfast (we finished everything). We will definitely visit again during the autumn foliage season. One request: it would be nice to have body wash towels available in the bath area.

Using aromatic vegetables, fish, and meat from the Kyoto area, each ingredient is prepared and served with the utmost care to preserve its natural fragrance, flavor, and texture in the best possible way. The chef’s evolving craft was truly impressive. I was also moved by the sommelier’s sincere dedication to wine. The cuisine feels perfectly suited to this one-of-a-kind Meiji-era mansion dining experience in Japan.

We were satisfied with everything—the guest room, the private open-air bath, and the restaurant. The retro furnishings in the room were truly comforting, and we were impressed by the thoughtful care in the meals. We enjoyed a level of luxury that exceeded the price. This is a Hotel we would love to visit again. The Hotel staff were also wonderful. As I get older, I find peace in an Accommodation like this. I hadn’t had many chances to visit Chichibu before, but this was an excellent Hotel as a base for visiting Mitsumine Shrine, Chichibu Shrine, and Hodosan Shrine (the Chichibu Three Shrines pilgrimage), as well as sightseeing in Nagatoro. Thank you very much.

I had such a wonderful impression when I stayed here before that this is my second visit. From the welcome sweets to the Japanese-Western fusion dinner and the hearty breakfast, everything was delicious. All meals were brought to our Room, so there was no need to change clothes, and we could relax completely. I also appreciated that when I informed them in advance about ingredients I can’t eat, they accommodated me properly. During our 3-day/2-night stay, all of the staff took great care of us. I had the chance to speak with five staff members, and every one of them provided excellent service! They were polite and warm, and I truly felt well looked after. The only thing I noticed was that the shower drainage was a little slow. Even so, overall it was a lovely Accommodation where we felt very comfortable. Taking an open-air bath early in the morning while listening to bush warblers singing was an unforgettable experience. I’d love to visit again in a different season.

All staff were exceptionally attentive, the Hotel was spotless and dust-free, and the Room air felt fresh. It was a quiet, comfortable space you wouldn’t expect in the city—an outstanding Hotel. Breakfast was also excellent, with an eel rice bowl, chirashi sushi, miso soup, melon, and more—down to details like tsukudani and Toraya sweet bean paste—so we could relax and enjoy it little by little. I’d love to stay again.

Last year’s stay left such a lasting impression that I made a Reservation six months in advance this year for a Multiple Night Stay (two nights). Time passes quietly here. Greenery outside the window, birdsong, and thoughtful, understated hospitality. Not flashy—just being here makes you feel your mind and body unwind. This is the kind of time that makes you think, “I want to come back.” Once again this year, I was moved by the same unchanging comfort.

It was my first visit. I was completely satisfied with everything, but there are three highlights worth mentioning. I have stayed at many Hotels, and the dining here was exceptionally satisfying. It’s rare to find Western cuisine of this quality. I was amazed by the consommé made from chicken and vegetables—it concentrated the natural flavors of the ingredients beautifully. None of the dishes felt heavy, and I enjoyed everything right to the end. The ayu paired wonderfully with eggplant as well, and I was impressed by how it all came together. My husband and I even said we would like to stay again just for the meals. The wonderful location was also a major plus. I could truly relax while taking in such a luxurious view. I believe that’s thanks to how meticulously everything is kept clean—from the rooms to the large public bath and even the garden. We enjoyed coffee in the library, and used cups were promptly cleared away; there wasn’t a single unpleasant detail. Above all, what stood out most was how wonderful your staff are. Everyone—the person who provided Shuttle Service by bus, the front desk team, each member of restaurant service staff, and housekeeping—was warm and professional. There were also staff members with charming Fukushima dialects, which sounded lovely to me. In particular, one restaurant staff member remained poised while still engaging in pleasant conversation; unfortunately I didn’t get their name. I hope to see them again on my next visit. We stay here every year, and since the rebranding and reopening, both the cuisine and the service have been taken to an even higher level—making for a truly satisfying stay. I was genuinely impressed by the chef’s careful selection of ingredients and the time and effort put into each dish. Even breakfast featured thoughtfully prepared items, and our food-loving family was more than satisfied. Being able to see the chef at the end of the meal and exchange a few words made dining even more special. The course itself reflected the chef’s warm personality, which makes us look forward to our next visit. We would love to return in a different season. We stayed here with our dog. It was relaxing and comfortable, and the meals were delicious. Next time, we plan to eat a little less for lunch so we can enjoy dinner as well. The seaside walk was also wonderful, with stunning views and a refreshing breeze!

I stayed here with my husband and our dog. The owner is a true dog lover, and our dog was able to relax and feel at ease. The Accommodation was very clean, thoroughly well maintained down to every corner, which made our stay very comfortable. And most of all, the bath was a wonderful surprise! The open-air bath was fantastic. Since we were the only guests this time, we could enjoy it at our preferred times and soak in peace—it felt like a real luxury. Dinner was Italian cuisine: appetizers, two pasta dishes, Nasu beef, and dessert. Everything was truly delicious. For breakfast we could choose between pizza muffins and French toast, but we wanted both so we ordered both and shared. The French toast in particular was outstanding! We had a relaxing and enjoyable time with our dog, making it a very satisfying one-night trip. We would love to visit again.

Quiet and reassuring. Impeccably clean. From the stairs to the lobby, every space reflects the owner’s attention to detail. My favorite is the wraparound balcony—spending Kyoto’s magic hour here always leaves me feeling quietly happy.

I stayed here as a birthday gift for my sister. We were amazed the moment we entered the Room—not only did you prepare a Room with a view of the five-story pagoda, but you also gifted us sparkling wine to celebrate. My sister was absolutely thrilled. In the lounge, we enjoyed a wide variety of drinks and alcohol, along with visually stunning sweets and carefully crafted dishes. At night, we dined at the rooftop bar while taking in Kyoto’s night views. For breakfast, I chose a conger eel hot pot—something rare for a Hotel breakfast—and truly savored Kyoto’s summer flavors. We were also able to visit Kiyomizu-dera early in the morning when it was quiet and uncrowded, which made us very happy. It seems it became a wonderful memory for my sister as well. Thank you very much for taking so many photos for us.

I had long wanted to visit the Fujiya Hotel, and I finally had the chance. Everything was wonderful—the Room, the meals, and the service—and it made me want to come back again and try a different restaurant next time. We stayed for a family birthday, so I ordered a birthday cake in advance, and thanks to your help in creating a festive atmosphere and taking photos for us, it became a truly memorable experience. Thank you very much. The Fujiya Hotel was excellent overall, but one disappointing moment was at breakfast: a female staff member in a white blazer came out through the door next to Kikka-so and walked away without acknowledging me even when I greeted her. I would like to visit again in another season.

The Facility in the guest room was excellent, the meals were very delicious, and above all, the service provided by the staff was outstanding, creating a very comfortable atmosphere. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Not only the building itself, but also the hanging scrolls and other details in the Room were wonderful, allowing us to spend a relaxing time while appreciating art and culture. As we stayed on a weekday, I mentioned at check-in that I was interested in the building, and the Accommodation staff kindly showed us several of Meijikan’s highlight Rooms. My parents and I were very satisfied. Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality. The in-room dining was also excellent, including freshly cooked white rice prepared right in front of us and abalone with a tender bite. We will visit again.

This was my long-awaited trip to Huis Ten Bosch. I debated staying at one of the official Hotels inside the park, but chose this Hotel for its outstanding Facilities, the large number of positive Reviews, and the reassurance of the Okura brand. Even before arriving at the main entrance by car, I was overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the building’s exterior. The stepped atrium from the 1st to 3rd floors is also stunning and instantly set an exciting tone for a luxurious stay. The female bell staff member was extremely polite and helpful, saying, “We’ll take your luggage up via a separate elevator, so please go ahead to your Room.” When I entered, there was an adorable teddy bear on the table by the window. The message card read, “Happy Birthday,” and since it was my birthday month, it was such a delightful surprise! She also wished me a happy birthday in person, which truly moved me. From my Room I could see not only Huis Ten Bosch but also views out to open water—an amazing panorama. It was during the Obon holiday period so there must have been many guests, yet thanks to how spacious the Hotel is overall, it hardly felt crowded at all. Above all else, every staff member provided attentive service. I’ve stayed at many Hotels and usually find something to complain about somewhere—but this time everything was perfect and I had an entirely comfortable stay. While this Hotel is clearly ideal for visiting Huis Ten Bosch, once you cross the bridge there’s also a JR station (right along the waterfront—very memorable). On our second day we took the train into Sasebo. This Hotel is also very useful as a base for sightseeing in Nagasaki City or Sasebo. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes—both Japanese and Western—and I ended up eating far too much. This was my first trip to Nagasaki and Huis Ten Bosch, and it became an unforgettable travel memory. Next time I want to stay longer—this truly wonderful Hotel made me feel that way. Although the daytime heat was not much different from Tokyo, the mornings were much cooler, with a pleasant breeze, and we felt refreshed while enjoying the magnificent views. The meals (kaiseki and French cuisine) were excellent, and we were able to enjoy them at a relaxed pace. In particular, the breakfast buffet was of very high quality; it was clear that each dish was carefully prepared and served, which we truly appreciated. The Onsen with yuno-hana floating throughout was also wonderful and very relaxing. The private family bath was very easy to use as well. We played tennis and rode the cable car to enjoy the swings, and even our older children had a great time. This is an Accommodation we would like to continue cherishing for years to come. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We stayed here for a family trip with my parents. At check-in, the staff explained the building while we enjoyed the beautiful garden view, which helped us understand the Accommodation even better. The welcome sweets and tea we were served were also delicious. As I am pregnant, I mentioned that I was avoiding caffeine, raw foods, and alcohol. They kindly switched the coffee prepared in our Room to decaf, provided non-caffeinated sword bean tea, and changed the tea served with meals to black soybean tea. I was truly impressed by their warm hospitality. Dinner was excellent as well. They even accommodated me with a separate menu, and I really appreciated their thoughtful attention to detail. Every dish was delicious, the portions were just right, and it was a wonderful meal overall. The private Onsen in our Room could be enjoyed 24 hours a day whenever we liked, which was fantastic. My parents seemed very satisfied too. This was our last family trip before our baby arrives, and we are truly glad we chose to stay here. Once things settle down, we would love to return and stay in a different Room as well.

The Hotel was within walking distance of Hiroshima Station, with excellent access and convenient for both sightseeing and getting around. The interior had a calm, European-style atmosphere, and the lobby felt upscale, making the stay very pleasant. The Room was clean and quiet, so I was able to rest well. This time I booked the No Meals Included Plan, so I didn’t use any dining options, but the breakfast looked delicious and I would have liked to try it if my schedule had allowed. The staff were courteous, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. With a great balance of location, Facility features, and service, it felt like a Hotel with excellent value for money. It’s a Hotel I’d gladly choose again when visiting Hiroshima.
