After working hard decluttering my home during Golden Week, I decided on a last-minute treat—let’s go to an Onsen! So I made a Reservation the day before and stayed at this Accommodation. I hadn’t planned the trip in advance; I just wanted to relax with delicious food and an Onsen. I happened to find this place through a search, and it turned out to be truly wonderful—an unforgettable reward and a great memory. While chatting with the staff member who welcomed us in the parking lot, we mentioned Sora Terrace. After check-in, the attendant surprised me by bringing over a brochure, saying, “I heard you’re going tomorrow.” I was genuinely touched. Even though it’s a historic Onsen area, the younger staff were working hard, and everyone—from the dining staff to the front desk—was cheerful and friendly throughout our stay. It was an Accommodation filled with heartfelt hospitality that naturally brought smiles. The Room had been renovated in a modern Japanese style. There were plenty of power outlets everywhere (including by the bed), so charging devices was never an issue. I also loved being able to enjoy coffee, tea, and cold tea in the complimentary lounge area. Dinner served in a private room was excellent—not only delicious but also beautifully presented with small touches that made it even more enjoyable. I came hoping to unwind at a Ryokan, but exploring nearby public baths in yukata and sandals was also great fun. Since we went without much prior research, it made the holiday even more memorable.

The meals were delicious, and having a private family bath allowed us to relax and enjoy our stay. I was happy that yukata-style loungewear was provided. I did feel the waistband elastic could have been a bit tighter, but it was still comfortable to wear. We could sense thoughtful attention in many little details, which made us feel warmly welcomed. I was in Atami for work for the first time in a while, and I wanted to enjoy an Onsen, so after looking around I chose this place. From Atami Station to the nearest station, Imaihama-Kaigan Station, it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes via the Ito Line and Izukyu Line, and it’s about a 3-minute walk from Imaihama-Kaigan Station to the Ryokan—very convenient. Rather than a typical Ryokan, it truly feels like a hideaway, just as the name Ittoan suggests. The lighting is kept slightly dim, creating a calm atmosphere. Dinner was served in a bright private dining room, and the contrast between light and shadow was wonderful. The staff member in charge—who said they started working here five months ago—explained each dish and kindly chatted with us for a while. There were many dishes, all delicious of course, but what impressed me most was the simmered splendid alfonsino served as a whole fish; it was my first time seeing it like that, and both the presentation and taste were unforgettable. They recommended rice porridge as a late-night meal, but I was far too full this time. I could use a private open-air bath for 50 minutes free of charge; I chose “Akibiyori” and was surprised by how spacious it was and how many trees surrounded it. If you think of the open-air bath area as the first floor, there is an upper level that feels like a reclining bath area on the second floor, so I could enjoy going back and forth between them. It felt more spacious than the large public bath area (ofuro), allowing me to fully relax. Breakfast was also luxurious. Both dinner and breakfast are Japanese-style meals with some Western touches, which I really liked. The Room was spacious, Wi-Fi worked without needing a password, completely stress-free. Everything—absolutely everything—was wonderful here, but above all else، the staff’s courteous yet friendly manner truly reflects what makes this inn special. Unfortunately it was cloudy with rain during my stay، so as I boarded my train home، I promised myself I would return next time under clear blue skies.

Thank you for the wonderful service—it made our stay truly exceptional. First, I accidentally made a Reservation with the wrong gender, but you quickly brought us yukata in different sizes, which was very helpful. With fewer guests staying, the attentive, personalized service really stood out. We also enjoyed the complimentary pudding—it was delicious. The Onsen was available at night as well, so we could relax and take our time. The bed felt a bit firm and slightly uncomfortable to sleep on, but other than that we had no complaints at all. Also, it was pouring rain at checkout, and you kindly handed us towels—this helped us so much. We truly appreciated your thoughtful attention to detail. We would love to stay here again when we visit Kusatsu.

This was our second stay, and even though we arrived nearly two hours later than planned, thank you very much for welcoming us so kindly. Both the Room and the bath were very clean. We were a bit concerned about mosquitoes given the season, but effective measures with a wonderful fragrance were in place, so we felt completely at ease throughout our stay. The sound system in the loft theater room was excellent—it truly felt like being in a movie theater. We were also shown to a private dining room, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the delicious food at our own pace, almost like in-Room dining. All of the staff were courteous from start to finish, and we had a truly wonderful time. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

My spouse and I had some time off, so we made a spontaneous Reservation and stayed here. We arrived by car, and staff were waiting in front of the Hotel to guide us, so parking was smooth. They also carried our bags, and I was surprised by how courteous they were. The front desk staff were also polite and left a great impression. Because of that, we ended up booking a private Onsen. The staff on duty from evening through morning were very kind as well. They even showed us a rare video of a Japanese serow and shared lots of interesting stories about it, which made us very happy. The Onsen was extremely relaxing, and the breakfast staff were friendly too. We came to heal our bodies, but our hearts felt refreshed as well. We also had great weather at Gozaisho. Next time, I’d like to bring my mother too. Overall, it was such a pleasant Hotel and incredibly soothing. Thank you very much.

Both the Room and the Onsen are wonderful, and the staff and the proprietress are warm and welcoming—every visit is truly relaxing.

I’d been wanting to stay here, and I truly enjoyed it in great spirits. It was a calm and happy stay. The books in the Room were wonderful, too! I was also very pleased with the various perks at Moegi no Mura!

We’re repeat guests for the cats, delicious food, and the cozy comfort of having everything you need right in the Room. This time my husband came with us too. The kids were thrilled with the maisonette and the open-air bath. We also love the skincare amenities such as lotion—they’re from a brand we like. We were so happy to finally spend time with the cats again. Since this was our first summer stay, we were told, “You might find stag beetles on the balcony,” and there were so many (surprisingly)! We took some home and are taking good care of them. Thank you for all your thoughtful consideration. Dinner was served at perfect timing—hot dishes hot and cold dishes cold—and my husband really enjoyed how delicious everything was. For breakfast we chose Japanese this time; the clay-pot rice selected by a rice meister was outstanding. Our child asked for seconds again and again. Everything was perfect except that the children’s pajamas we borrowed felt smaller than expected for their size. Thank you as always for your warm welcome—it made for an amazing start to our summer vacation. We’d love to come back again.

Last time, the chef’s heartfelt cuisine was wonderful, so this time I booked a Multiple Night Stay. The food exceeded my expectations and truly moved me.\nThe hospitality of all the staff was also top-notch.\nThis is an Accommodation I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

It was a wonderful Accommodation, just as rumored. The Onsen on the first floor was especially impressive. The service was very attentive, and since we arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled meal time, they kindly allowed us to delay it. When making the Reservation, I had ordered a birthday cake, and they also prepared a birthday melody played on a music box, a small flower basket, and even celebratory bite-sized sekihan (red bean rice) and sweets—it truly moved me.

We were able to stay at Kashiwaya again this year as a family, and we had a truly wonderful time. With only a few Rooms, we hardly ran into other guests even in the baths, so we could quietly enjoy the excellent waters of Bessho Onsen. The meals are gently seasoned and make the most of local ingredients, and no matter when we visit, it’s a mysterious Accommodation where we always sleep soundly at night. We look forward to visiting again.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The Facilities, the staff’s atmosphere, and the meals were all excellent. It was clear that each staff member truly loves dogs. We would definitely like to stay again.

We enjoyed the pool for over two hours, and it was a very satisfying stay for our children. The Room had a calm interior, and we were able to relax. The all-inclusive drinks and light snacks were delicious, and this has become one of our favorite Accommodations. We would love to come back again.

I decided to stay because the Reviews were so positive, though honestly I wasn’t expecting that much. However, the Onsen, meals, and service were truly outstanding. The ceramic bath and private baths could be used as many times as you like with no additional charge, and the staff made me feel comfortable leaving everything in their hands. I highly recommend the ceramic bath. The large public bath also had a great view and an open, relaxing atmosphere, and the sauna was spacious as well. Of course, the bath in the Room was also excellent—you can adjust the temperature. Above all, every meal was exceptional! Both the French cuisine and Japanese cuisine may have been my best ever. It was a moving experience that delighted all five senses. The service—and conversations—from each chef and all of the staff were truly wonderful! I would definitely love to return again. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a private dining Room, so we could relax and eat at our own pace. The service timing was perfect, and we were fully satisfied with the quality and generous portions of the meals. We also loved that they featured plenty of locally sourced ingredients. The fireworks were spectacular from the rooftop, and the open-air bath in our Room was excellent.

Our family of four, ranging in age from our 60s to 90s, enjoyed a relaxed and unhurried stay. We were very satisfied with the Onsen, the meals, and the Room, but above all, the warm hospitality of the staff truly put us at ease. The calm atmosphere of Owani Onsen was wonderful, and we would love to return once more before the snowy season begins.

Four women stayed in a Japanese-Western style room—ocean view!! We relaxed on the spacious sofa, and our conversation really flowed. Above all, the meals were outstanding. Every dish in the creative dinner was simply “Delicious!” Breakfast was a perfect 100, too! The front desk’s attentiveness and the restaurant’s serving timing were also flawless.
