From the moment we were picked up, the hospitality had already begun. We were completely satisfied with everything—from the guidance along the way to the warm welcome after arrival. Of course, we also enjoyed delicious meals. In the morning, we woke up to a ship’s whistle. The ever-changing view of the tides was truly soothing. We would love to visit again in another season.

Staying amid the vineyards and enjoying the warm hospitality of everyone who supported us made for an exceptional time. This is an Accommodation we will definitely want to visit again.

The Room, the meals, and the staff—everything was simply wonderful. The open-air bath with free-flowing natural hot spring water was amazing. Dinner was delicious, and breakfast while looking out at the ocean from our Room was lovely. Since it’s all-inclusive, we were able to relax in our Room and take it easy while ordering room service. Above all, we were most impressed by the attentive service from the staff. We would definitely love to visit again.

We enjoyed the pool for over two hours, and it was a very satisfying stay for our children. The Room had a calm interior, and we were able to relax. The all-inclusive drinks and light snacks were delicious, and this has become one of our favorite Accommodations. We would love to come back again.

We enjoyed a “staycation,” with lounge hopping across four lounges as the main highlight. First, we walked from Shinagawa Station to the Hotel, but IKYU’s directions said “cross Daiichi Keihan…,” so we crossed the signal right after exiting the Takanawa Exit. However, the route to the right after crossing was blocked due to construction, so we had to turn back. After exiting the Takanawa Exit, it’s best to turn right and walk along Daiichi Keihan, then turn left at the first traffic light onto Sakura-zaka. Alternatively, since it’s a continuous uphill slope, I think taking the shuttle bus would be a good option. We visited all four lounges, and as expected, Hana-Kouro’s lounge was the most relaxing; the drinks were also of higher quality and excellent. The champagne during cocktail time—and Dassai—was a real treat. We also enjoyed tasting different sake. There were some light bites during cocktail time, but it would have been even better if there had been additional hors d’oeuvres. Breakfast was delicious as well. It was our first time trying a matcha grinding experience, and we really enjoyed it. At the lounge, the staff maintained just the right level of attentiveness throughout without being intrusive, which made it very comfortable. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. We stayed to celebrate my mother’s discharge from the hospital. Based on our previous stay, you kindly accommodated our requests and avoided ingredients we cannot eat without us having to mention them this time, and we truly felt your outstanding hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed the Hotel—the view from the balcony, the comfortable Room, and the delicious meals—and my mother was very happy as well. Thank you for celebrating with us. 　I especially love the atmosphere of your pool. I hope you will continue to maintain an environment where it is easy to swim and no one takes prohibited photos. Next time, we would like to visit again around autumn or winter.

I stayed for a total of two nights and was able to work comfortably. There was a desk and chair, and the chair was comfortable to sit in. From noon, there was a time when I could enjoy sweets, tea, coffee, and more, and from the evening there was a time when I could enjoy alcohol and snacks—making for a pleasant change of pace between work sessions.

The front desk staff were wonderful! Even though we checked in after midnight, they kindly accommodated us. We stayed here the night before heading to Kusatsu Onsen. This time, our family used the Special Room. As soon as we entered the Room, it was incredibly spacious!!! The bathroom in particular was huge and amazing!! There were plenty of amenities, which was really helpful—and when we opened the refrigerator, there were complimentary drinks!! There were also cup udon noodles on the table for each of us!! The service was excellent and we were very satisfied! For this price, the Room size and service are more than enough. A truly satisfying Hotel!! We would love to stay again.

I stayed at Banshokaku Shikishima again this summer while visiting my hometown, and once again I truly felt it is an Accommodation where attentive care and consideration reach every detail. All of the staff were extremely polite and kind, and I could really feel their warmth and compassion. The meals were very thoughtfully prepared, delicious of course, and left me completely satisfied. The staff who welcomed me at the front desk and in the parking area also assisted me very courteously, which made me feel great. I also remember seeing a staff member giving directions to another guest—explaining slowly, clearly, and with great care. This time as well, I am simply grateful for the warm support from the front desk staff when I was leaving. Thanks to you all, I was able to relax comfortably at my own pace and feel refreshed. I would definitely like to stay at Banshokaku Shikishima again next time too. To everyone on the team, I look forward to seeing you again someday. Thank you very much.

Just before our stay, the open-air bath in the large public bath became unavailable due to construction. As an apology, our Room was upgraded—an extremely appreciated and thoughtful gesture! We had a similar incident at another ryokan before (name withheld), where they tried to smooth it over by simply upgrading the welcome sweets, which left us dissatisfied. This time, however, we had no complaints at all. Our 4-year-old daughter is quite picky and we often struggle with meals, but when we asked if she could have grilled fish instead of a hamburger steak, they served herb-seasoned ayu sweetfish. She loved it and finished an entire fish in no time. The adults also found everything delicious—we finished every dish! Overall, the service and hospitality were excellent. Our daughter was very happy and said she wants to come again. Because we couldn’t use the open-air bath, that part is 4 stars; everything else is perfect.

Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day. I’m sorry my review is late. At this Accommodation, we were worried about making check-in on time due to unexpected traffic, but they handled it with incredible kindness and flexibility. We told them—though we didn’t know exactly when we would arrive—that we really wanted to have dinner, and they warmly replied, “We’ll be waiting.” In the end, we made it in time and were able to enjoy the meal without delay. It wasn’t an overly luxurious kind of service, but rather thoughtful hospitality that anticipated what guests might need—whether in the Room, the bath, or the meals. There was also live entertainment: a staff member performed a singing-and-guitar set during dinner. We had no idea there would be live music, so it was a wonderful surprise. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding, featuring seasonal ingredients and local specialties unique to the area. From presentation to flavor, everything was beyond words and truly enjoyable. I only wish we could have checked in earlier so we could have enjoyed more of the Accommodation. We would love to visit again.

Last year, I stayed at Tatsumitei for the first time and was very satisfied. I had also been curious about the annex, so this year I stayed there. As before, both dinner and breakfast were served in a private dining room, and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious cuisine. The Room had high ceilings and felt spacious and relaxing; from the window we could admire the greenery of the trees and views of the Saigawa River, while enjoying the sound of the flowing water as time passed peacefully. In the Japanese-style room, there was a raised floor chair provided, which made it comfortable to spend time there. The open-air bath could be used without worrying about time, allowing us to unwind completely. The casually arranged flowers throughout the building were soothing, and we also enjoyed various crafts and carefully selected lighting fixtures. Thank you to all of the staff for your courteous service. I would definitely like to stay again next time.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and a babymoon trip. In short, choosing this Accommodation was absolutely the right decision! This time we used the maternity Plan. Since there are very few Accommodations that offer a maternity Plan, the moment I saw the Plan name I thought, “This is it!” and made a Reservation. When we arrived, the staff welcomed us, carried our luggage from the parking lot, and even provided welcome drinks and a thorough explanation—right from the start, their attentiveness was flawless. With only seven Rooms, the property was wonderfully quiet, and everything felt unhurried. The all-inclusive setup—being able to enjoy drinks and light snacks whenever we wanted—was fantastic. During bar time, my wife was thrilled to have non-caffeinated options and non-alcoholic cocktails as well. She even said, “Next time I can drink alcohol again, I definitely want to come back!” (laughs) Our Room was a stylish maisonette with a chic black theme. The open-air bath viewed through the large window—and the forest scenery beyond—was beautiful. We were truly grateful for all the thoughtful touches for my pregnant wife: a large maternity cushion on her bed, extra cushions prepared for her chair at meals, and more. Breakfast and dinner were satisfying beyond what you’d expect at an upscale restaurant. They confirmed in advance what my wife couldn’t eat and adjusted each dish accordingly. It was also fun hearing how it differed from the standard menu. When we mentioned it was our anniversary, they even prepared a lovely fruit platter with dessert at dinner—we were both genuinely moved. We skipped using the in-room open-air bath this time because there were many insects outside, but we thoroughly enjoyed the private bath whenever we liked. The lounge also felt incredibly open thanks to its high ceiling and large windows that let us take in nature. During bar time after dinner, when Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream was sold out, one of the staff kindly brought an alternative for us! We expected it would simply end with “Sorry, it’s sold out,” so we were touched by how far they went for us. And after checkout as we drove away by car، staff came outside waving goodbye with their arms raised—it was such wonderful hospitality that made us think، “We’ll definitely come back!” Thank you for such an amazing stay from start to finish! It became our best anniversary and babymoon ever۔ We’ll absolutely return once my wife can enjoy alcohol again!

The elegant building and stylish interior lifted my spirits the moment we arrived. Every staff member was consistently kind, and their thoughtfulness really came through, making our stay extremely comfortable. We traveled with a child, and they were so gentle and welcoming to our little one as well—it truly warmed my heart. The beer in the lobby was delicious, and I couldn’t help but have more than I planned. Dinner was wonderful across the board—especially the tuna and the Wagyu steak!! I had high expectations, but it exceeded them. With such lovely staff, an all-inclusive plan, a spotless lobby and Room, and beautiful views, it was simply perfect. I don’t think there are many Accommodations as special as this. If you’re traveling to Izu, I highly recommend this Accommodation—you’re sure to have an amazing trip! I’m still thinking how I should have eaten and drank even more to fully enjoy everything… haha! After checkout, I realized I had left something behind. When I contacted them, they kindly shipped it to my home right away. It arrived the next day, and their quick yet careful support truly warmed my heart. Thank you so much. All of the staff were very pleasant. There was also a complimentary drinks area, which we enjoyed. The meals were especially delicious, and each dish was thoughtfully prepared with great attention to detail. The service staff’s explanations and hospitality were professional and excellent.

On August 7, when a strong typhoon was a concern, we headed to Kyotango—a trip we had been looking forward to for a long time. Due to my misunderstanding, I entered the entrance at 2:00 PM and found no one at the front desk—which was only natural, since check-in starts at 3:00 PM. Even so, they responded right away and guided us to our Room in about 10 minutes. That was the beginning of the trouble I caused. I couldn’t wait for the dinner and breakfast that receive such high praise in every Review. Since we arrived early, I was also the first to use the large public bath. The open-air bath had an amazing ocean view and felt incredible. The right edge of the tub had a slope, so I assumed it was thoughtful design for children or elderly guests—but there was an identical slope on the left as well. Looking closely, I noticed the rim of the tub was curved: it was actually designed as a reclining bath. The slope allowed you to lie back while enjoying the ocean view. I soaked in the open-air bath, deeply impressed all on my own. After enjoying a canned beer and complimentary sake (excellent) in the post-bath lounge area, we returned to our Room—and then an accident happened: news of a death in our close family arrived. After discussing it with my wife, we decided to give up on the breakfast we had been looking forward to so much. Since it took about 3 hours and 45 minutes on our way there, I asked at reception if we could leave early in the morning—and they kindly accommodated this as well. Dinner began while my mind still felt unsettled, but everything from the first appetizer onward was delicious, and my wife and I found ourselves exchanging smiles again and again. Partway through, we were guided outside to watch sunset from the terrace—body, heart, and taste buds all completely satisfied. Despite our very early departure time, they even came out to see us off when we left. I was truly moved. We caused you so much inconvenience—thank you for giving us such an outstanding Accommodation experience.

It was hot in Kyoto, so I really appreciated how close it was to the station! The Room was clean and I was satisfied, and the staff were very kind, making my stay comfortable.

I stayed around April for a live concert trip. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and attentive, and the hospitality was excellent. They kindly agreed to store my luggage, which was a great help. I believe I chose the lowest-grade Room, but it was very spacious, spotless throughout, and comfortable. When I visit the Kansai area again, I would love to stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
