We stayed as a couple with our 0-year-old baby. From check-in, they took a photo of the three of us and provided toys for our child. At dinner, our child got sleepy, and when we asked for a floor cushion, they kindly brought one right away. During the koto performance, they even played children’s songs, and our daughter seemed to really enjoy it. Traveling with a child can be challenging from the very start when choosing an Accommodation, but everyone was truly kind to us. Thanks to them, we had a wonderful time. Thank you very much.

Thank you for taking care of us on our family trip. Check-in while enjoying a welcome drink was a nice touch, and the Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There were two bathing options: a free open-air bath and a large public bath, and we could even see Mt. Fuji from the large public bath. Dinner was delicious across the board; although we were full by the end of the meal, the house specialty “Izu Mabushi” was light and refreshing, so we enjoyed it easily. Breakfast featured a variety of side dishes served in small portions on multiple small plates—beautifully presented, and every dish was tasty. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming, which made our stay even better. We would love to come again. Thank you very much.

After the rush of everyday life finally settled down, I decided to challenge myself with my first solo trip, hoping to relax somewhere I could hear the sounds of nature. Choosing this Accommodation was absolutely the right decision. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and they took great care with my allergies. The Room was exactly what I had been hoping for the moment I stepped in—beautiful greenery through the window, yet a very modern design that made it easy to truly unwind. The bath temperature was also perfect for summer. I had wondered how dining alone would feel, but there was no need to worry at all—the meals were outstanding. I also requested acupuncture treatment, which was handled very carefully; my severe lower back pain eased so much that I could rest at night without any pain. Everything about this stay was wonderful, and I think solo travel may become a habit for me. I would love to visit in every season. Thank you very much.

We visit every year with our grandchildren. Everything was delicious again this year, and the kids were thrilled. We hope to come again next year—thank you in advance.

My father, my husband, and I stayed in two Rooms. All of the staff were polite, friendly, and welcoming with warm smiles, and their service made us feel truly comfortable. The Accommodation itself was wonderful as well—being able to take the complimentary drinks from the first-floor lounge back to our Room, along with thoughtful touches like cold water after the bath, made the attentive service especially impressive. The baths were excellent too. Since they alternate between men and women, we could enjoy different baths on both the day we arrived and the next day, which added to the experience. The food was also delicious. We heard that a group would be staying there and worried it might be noisy, but we were seated in a separate area like a private room, so we could enjoy our meal peacefully and at a relaxed pace. If I may make one request: during the breakfast buffet, it would be very helpful to have small push carts that can hold trays. I imagine there are quite a few guests with weaker legs or backs who would appreciate this as well—though I understand it might get in the way in narrow aisles. Thank you very much for a wonderful one-night stay. We would love to visit again if we have another opportunity.

Both the meals and the bath were excellent.

I travel out many times throughout the year. I was truly won over by how delicious the food was here. The rice was cooked perfectly! Ayu sashimi (my first time), salt-grilled ayu (the seasoning, grilling, and timing of service), and even the soup—everything was flawless. From now on, your salt-grilled ayu will likely be my benchmark for taste. This may sound presumptuous, but I believe it’s simple dishes that really show a chef’s skill. The yukata in the Room were crisp and nicely starched, so even someone like me who doesn’t usually like yukata could wear it comfortably. I also appreciated the detox water after bathing.

I stayed at this Hotel for a business trip to Masuda City because it was close to the station. Just as in the photos, the interior was wonderful (both the shared areas and my Room). The large public bath was also clean and very pleasant to use. What I especially liked was the samue loungewear provided in the Room. The fabric felt great on my skin and it was very comfortable to wear (I later bought one online). Breakfast was also delicious. I would like to stay here again.

Everything was excellent. The Room even had a massage chair. The bathroom was separate from the toilet and very spacious. Bicycle rentals were also available. I can’t believe it at this price. I’d love to stay again!

I made this Reservation on behalf of my father and mother. They really liked the Onsen, and they said the breakfast style—taking small side dishes—made it easy even for my father, who has limited use of his hands. Last time they took more food than they could finish, so this time we chose the lowest-priced Plan, but they were still satisfied with the meals. They love the hot spring water. We look forward to staying again.

Thank you for taking care of our family of four for one night and two days. One of us was delayed due to work and might not have made it in time for dinner. When we informed the staff, they kindly changed our dining Room and made various thoughtful arrangements so that even if we arrived late, we could relax without rushing. We were in a difficult situation, and I was truly moved by your deep hospitality. I asked for their name, but they said, “We all do this together...” To Mr./Ms. K-sawa and all the staff members at the dinner venue, thank you very much for everything. I was deeply impressed. I’ve stayed at many Accommodations, and this is easily among the very best. It’s not inexpensive, but considering the dining, service, and Facilities, it felt like outstanding value—worth far more than the price. The moment you step inside, you’re captivated by a breathtaking view of the Jintsu River framed by stately yet modern architecture. The art-filled spaces also have a playful sense of humor that made us smile. We stayed in the Modern Moon room, which had beautifully curated interiors. We spent an elegant time enjoying the fragrant hinoki cypress bath overlooking the Jintsu River and relaxing on the terrace. The bedding was exceptional for a great night’s sleep, and in addition to two well-appointed large public baths, we loved that there was a private family bath available at a surprisingly reasonable rate. Dinner was French cuisine featuring abundant Toyama ingredients, with flawless presentation and service. I was amazed by the skillful cooking that elevated even more distinctive ingredients into something refined. The generous full-course meal paired perfectly with their outstanding Toyama house wines (red and white). The next morning’s Japanese breakfast was just as impressive—deeply flavorful and wonderfully soothing after the previous night’s course. Relaxing at the Accommodation is wonderful on its own, but there are also plenty of activities—an art tour, children’s events, strolls through the garden and along the Jintsu River—so one night is nowhere near enough. Being able to use Tesla charging Facilities also helped us travel without worry. The hospitality from all staff members was exceptional. We were so moved that we immediately made another Reservation for six months later. We truly can’t wait to return.

At the breakfast buffet, the chef prepared dashimaki tamago and onigiri on the spot (you can choose the fillings), and I was happy to enjoy them freshly made. Today’s miso soup had clams in it, with a rich clam broth—it was delicious and comforting. There was a wide variety of dishes and desserts, including konjac-based items and Ota’s famous yakisoba, so choosing was fun and exciting. I’d love to stay again.

The meals were truly outstanding. The sake pairings were also excellent. This is an Accommodation I definitely want to return to for the first time in a while.

I was truly impressed by the silky, rich quality of the Onsen water. It felt so pleasant that I wanted to keep touching my skin in the bath forever—it's rare to find water like this. After arriving, I crossed the bridge and went for a walk; the sound of cicadas was wonderful, and I ended up walking for about an hour. You can also go down to the river, which is another highly recommended spot. The meals were very generous, and I regret that I couldn’t finish everything. I’d be happy if there were an option for a smaller portion with a higher-quality course menu. The sweetfish and bonito were delicious as well. Thank you very much.

It had been a while since my last stay at Ochiairo, and I was truly moved by how wonderful the dinner was. From fresh sweetfish tempura and eel sushi to game fowl soup, thick shiitake mushrooms, crispy cutlassfish, and seasoned somen served in an ice bowl with nori—each dish was exceptional. The Onsen was also very enjoyable, with gentle mildly alkaline water. I especially appreciated the wide selection of drinks available not only in the lounge but also in the Room refrigerator and even by the bath area—such thoughtful care to prevent dehydration. Finally, at checkout we received a coupon booklet for the Shuzenji Toll Road. This has been a long-standing service, but I was impressed again by such attentive hospitality. It is an inconvenient road where ETC cannot be used for some reason, so this was very helpful. I would love to stay at Ochiairo again to relax—everything from the Onsen and meals to the service is outstanding.

The hospitality and service were excellent. Both the bath and the Room were spacious, so we could relax. It would have been nice to have amenities for women. It’s close to the Nagara River, and we were able to fully enjoy hot Gifu. Both the cormorant fishing and the fireworks were wonderful. Thank you very much.

Everything was great and I was very satisfied. The view from outside the Hotel and what seemed like a courtyard were wonderful, and the Room was clean as well. It probably depends on the season, but people who dislike insects might find it difficult. There were countless stink bugs outside the Room, and we even had an unexpected encounter with a centipede about 15 cm long inside the Room. However, several types of insect spray and tools like tongs were provided, so we managed to handle it. Staff were cleaning from early in the morning, so by the time we checked out, most of the insects had been taken care of. Thank you very much.

This was our 12th stay. It’s one of our favorite Accommodations as a couple. We love being able to relax in a quiet place with nothing around. The Room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We would be happy if there were a small buffet, such as a salad bar, not only at breakfast but also at dinner. We had another very pleasant stay this time as well. We’d love to come again. This was my second stay, and this time I visited in summer. The Room was much larger than last time and seemed newly renovated—a Japanese-Western style Room with beds. Dinner and breakfast were served in a private room in a separate building, the same as before. This time it was a summer-style kaiseki featuring sweetfish (ayu). (In winter, it’s wild boar hot pot.) The open-air bath in the Room was also great. There are two large public baths; my favorite is the one with hot spring water cascading like a waterfall, which is used as the men’s bath at night and the women’s bath in the morning. I was even more satisfied than last time. Guests ranged from families with children to couples and married couples. Even the walk from the parking lot to the Room has a charming atmosphere, so I can recommend it. The service is very polite as well. (It seems staff change between dinner and breakfast—there were lots of “mom”-type staff members in the morning.) You’ll find tanuki figures all around. Also, the vending machines are reasonably priced, and it was nice that there were bottled drinks for each guest plus a thermos of iced water in the Room. (So you don’t need to buy water beforehand.) *Since you can’t tell the exact Room layout at Reservation, if you care about futons vs beds or whether there is a partition for the bath area, it may be best to call and confirm.* (The Room we had last time in February 2025 had futons, and if you opened the curtain by the open-air bath you could be seen. This time we had a Western-style bedroom with beds, and there was also a door/wooden screen by the open-air bath—so there were differences. It’s possible renovations have been done since then.)
