We stayed here to celebrate an anniversary with close friends! The stylishly designed living area and the Room with a sauna were absolutely perfect for a girls’ trip. If we have the chance, we’d love to stay again. Thank you very much!

We stayed with my parents as a family. We traveled with a school-aged child and an infant, and the in-Room bath made our stay very comfortable. We truly appreciate your thoughtful consideration for our children during meals. The garden view and the river view from the open-air bath were so relaxing. My parents were very happy, and it gave us a wonderful chance to show our appreciation. Thank you very much.

We stayed here to celebrate my elderly parents’ birthdays. Highlights of this Accommodation: - The view of Mt. Fuji across Lake Kawaguchi while soaking in the balcony footbath is breathtaking. - In the evening, you can enjoy complimentary drinks such as beer and wine in the lounge, along with free nuts and ice cream. - Dinner is served in your Room, and you can dine comfortably at a relaxed pace on low chairs. Unfortunately, due to bad weather we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji even once during our stay, but the staff kindly gave us a lovely Mt. Fuji postcard. We’ll be back next year for another try! The dinner portions were more than we could finish and felt wasteful for us, so I rated the meals 4 stars—I’d love to see a “quality over quantity” Plan or a smaller-portion Plan. Overall, this is one of the very best Accommodations with views of Mt. Fuji, and it’s become one of our favorites! *The Mt. Fuji photo was taken from our Room in June last year.*

This was our first trip with Mameko, our 8-month-old Shiba Inu. We had various concerns, but in the end it was a very satisfying stay. It started with the front desk’s kind and attentive service. It reminded us how important the atmosphere at check-in really is. We quickly made a Reservation for a private bath. Our Japanese-style Room was spacious enough, and the crate was large as well. The view from the window wasn’t great; it seems a Room on the opposite side of the hallway would have been better. Next was the outdoor dog run. It was covered with wood chips, which were gentle on our dog’s paws. However, it didn’t seem well maintained, and we didn’t see any other families using it. Then came the private bath. Dogs aren’t allowed in the bathtub for people, but there was a large tub placed in the washing area, so we could bathe together and still enjoy an Onsen-like experience. One thing to note: there was a brush provided, but it had plenty of hair from a previous dog on it—perhaps it was missed during cleaning—which was disappointing. Dinner was finally served, and both quantity and quality were more than satisfying. The tables were spaced appropriately apart, so we could relax comfortably alongside other dogs as well. The only disappointment was that my favorite salt-grilled ayu wasn’t cooked through enough. Ayu is usually edible from head to tail when properly grilled, but this one had hard bones (head and tail) that couldn’t be eaten. My wife’s portion was nearly raw; they re-grilled it for her, but even then the bones remained too hard to eat. Ayu needs to be grilled slowly over time; this felt like only the surface had been browned with a grill to save time and effort. I believe this should be improved promptly. There are two indoor dog runs as well—both were excellent spaces where we could also get along with other guests’ families. The large public bathhouse was a good size, and above all else, the sulfur Onsen was outstanding. They recommended “time bathing” (going in and out) because it’s hot; I gradually got used to it and eventually enjoyed how pleasantly the sulfur seemed to cling to my skin. After bathing there were massage chairs—three units including newer models—and having them free of charge really lived up to expectations. Breakfast the next morning also left us fully satisfied. One more small point: staff members kindly fussed over Mameko, but since they handle food service as well, I felt it might be better not to touch dogs during meal service. Overall, our 1-night/2-day stay ended on an extremely positive note. Beyond great value for money, we could truly feel everyone’s hospitality—this has become one of our family’s Accommodations we would like to visit again.”

I loved Azumino when I visited three months ago, so I came back—and this time chose Accommodation Nagomino. Surrounded by vivid greenery, everything was wonderful: the scenery, the building, the Facility, the meals, and of course the baths, as well as the excellent hospitality from all the staff. We were informed in advance that due to last week’s heavy rain, the Onsen pipeline to the Accommodation had been washed away and the Onsen supply had stopped, but fortunately it was restored on this very day—what a relief! It’s not a price range we can visit often, but I would definitely like to return in another season.

During my Kyushu trip in mid-June, I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights) in the “Chikurintei—Panoramic Open-Air Bath (Japanese-Western Room)” nestled within Mifuneyama Rakuen’s vast grounds. I stayed in the “Yamazakura” Room, which offered views of Mt. Mifune from the corridor and garden, and even had a private gate with direct access to Mifuneyama Rakuen. The open-air bath is a standing-style bath set among trees. It creates a unique floating sensation, and because the water pressure is applied evenly over the whole body, I felt less fatigue afterward. Being able to enjoy the garden and sky while standing also adds to the wonderful sense of openness. The Onsen water is clear and colorless—an alkaline simple spring—with an exceptionally gentle feel on the skin, so I never tired of soaking. The indoor bath is heated groundwater, but I also enjoyed it: the hinoki tub was very comfortable, and it didn’t take long to fill. What stood out most was the outstanding quality of dinner. The kaiseki course featuring seasonal local ingredients such as Takezaki crab immediately draws you in with its dashi—clear yet deeply flavorful, beautifully balanced. Each dish reflected the season in both taste and presentation: refined and truly beautiful. Beyond ingredient quality alone, there was a confident simplicity backed by real skill. Even on a Multiple Night Stay, every meal was flawless at an exceptional level. Simply superb—thank you for such a feast. Another highlight was visiting teamLab’s art installations at the affiliated Mifuneyama Rakuen Hotel on the same grounds (guests of Chikurintei can enter free). From the moment you step into the lobby, you’re struck by countless lamps evoking forest flowers and sunlight filtering through trees. The most breathtaking work was “Megalis in Ruins Bathhouse,” where digital projections of seasonal flowers illuminate massive stones rising throughout an abandoned public-bath space. When we visited, different scenes cycled continuously—twelve distinct visuals representing all months—and we became fully immersed for about an hour until they completed one full round late at night before closing. Also worth mentioning: the cold-brew coffee served in the lounge area was delicious—I refilled it many times and enjoyed it back in my Room as well. To everyone at “Oyado Chikurintei,” thank you sincerely for creating such a wonderful stay. I will absolutely return when I visit Takeo Onsen again.

A relaxing, tranquil Accommodation for adults. Watch the ever-changing sky, sea, and forest, and the sparkling stars; soak in the Onsen whenever you like; and enjoy high-quality meals... Above all, the staff’s hospitality is outstanding. During my stay, they never once asked for my name or Room number, and they even adjusted the end time of dinner to fit my spa Reservation. Thanks to their seamless communication and thoughtful care, I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. I will be back again. Thank you very much.

This is my favorite Accommodation: the well-maintained interior always helps me feel refreshed both body and mind in the Room’s open-air bath, and I can enjoy a French course dinner in casual attire. I will definitely stay again.

Thank you very much for accommodating my daughter’s allergies and picky eating. At her earnest request, this was our first mother-and-daughter trip to Hanamaki to experience the world of Kenji Miyazawa. I’m always concerned about her meals when we travel, but thanks to you we were able to relax and enjoy our stay with peace of mind. It is a wonderful Ryokan—so much so that 24 hours in a day didn’t feel like enough. Next time, we would love to visit again with my husband and our other daughter—the whole family. True to its name as an auberge, the most outstanding part was, above all, the cuisine. The dishes created by a young chef in his twenties used local ingredients and were finished with techniques like careful cooking and fermentation that brought out each ingredient’s natural character. Each plate felt full of energy; the moment it touched my lips, deep, nourishing flavors overflowed. Everything was beautiful to look at as well, and my heart lifted every time a new dish arrived. Listening to the explanations of each course was also a pleasure. Conversation flowed naturally and effortlessly, and even though I stayed alone, I never felt lonely—I simply had a wonderful time. When I showed interest in the modern art throughout the property, I was delighted that the manager took the time to explain each piece one by one. I could sense the owner’s taste and philosophy behind the collection. Every work had its own character, including a Banksy lithograph. Rather than simply displaying art, it felt as though the owner’s aesthetic vision for what this Hotel should be was expressed throughout the entire space. The sea seen from the window was wonderfully calm; without rushing toward checkout time, I was able to relax at ease until departure. A Hotel stay filled with warm hospitality—I would love to return again.

We had a very comfortable stay. The retro, traditional, and luxurious atmosphere is wonderful. It is quiet. The staff were kind and very helpful. The food in particular was high quality and delicious.

This was our first time staying here as three generations, and we truly enjoyed it. We were impressed by the building, the location, and the furnishings inside. Everything was provided—kitchen equipment, amenities, and more—and we were amazed at how well-equipped the Facility was. Each Room was spacious and had its own toilet and shower, and even with a group of 10 people, we were able to relax comfortably in the kitchen and living area. The children also loved having a kids’ Room on the second floor, running around in the garden, catching insects, and playing by the shore. The BBQ ingredients you prepared for us were fresh, plentiful, and delicious. Breakfast was also well-balanced and very tasty. We stayed for only one night this time, but our whole family is already talking about coming back for a Multiple Night Stay next time. Thank you very much for your kindness!

We chose this Accommodation after seeing photos and Reviews saying the food is incredibly delicious. We travel twice a week, and among the many Accommodations we’ve stayed at, the meals here were truly top-class. It really felt like we came to stay at an Accommodation run by a chef. We’re a bit shy, but they spoke with us in a way that wasn’t too close or too distant, so we had a wonderful time. This time it was just the two of us, but next time we’d like to bring our parents as well.

I highly recommend this Onsen Facility for guests traveling with dogs—there aren’t many places where you can relax this much. Even in the recent hot summers, the on-site dog run is more than enough, with two spacious areas where dogs can play happily to their heart’s content. The view from the bath is simply amazing, and I end up soaking again and again. In the lobby café, there is a complimentary drink service, and with the great scenery and atmosphere, you can unwind together with your dog. Dinner can also be enjoyed buffet-style with your dog by your side, and everything tastes delicious. You can truly enjoy every moment together with your beloved pet. Another favorite is breakfast the next morning: it comes as a sandwich box that you can take back to your Room to eat. It also feels like there’s no concern about bears appearing around here, and it has become a place I absolutely want to visit at least once a year—honestly, I’d come every month if I could.

Four women stayed in a Japanese-Western style room—ocean view!! We relaxed on the spacious sofa, and our conversation really flowed. Above all, the meals were outstanding. Every dish in the creative dinner was simply “Delicious!” Breakfast was a perfect 100, too! The front desk’s attentiveness and the restaurant’s serving timing were also flawless.

This was my long-awaited trip to Huis Ten Bosch. I considered staying at one of the official Hotels inside the park, but chose this Hotel for its extensive Facilities, the large number of positive Reviews, and the reassurance of the Okura brand. Even before arriving at the main entrance by car, I was overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the building’s exterior. The stunning stepped atrium from the 1st to 3rd floors also set an exciting tone for a truly luxurious stay. The female bell staff member was exceptionally polite and kind, saying, “We’ll take your luggage up via a separate elevator, so please go ahead to your Room.” When I entered, there was an adorable teddy bear on the table by the window. The message card read, “Happy Birthday,” and since it was my birthday month, it was such a delightful surprise! She also wished me a happy birthday in person, which really moved me. From my Room we could see not only Huis Ten Bosch but also views out to open water—an amazing panorama. It was during the Obon holiday period so there must have been many guests staying, yet thanks to how spacious the Hotel is overall, it never felt crowded. Above all else, every staff member’s attentive service stood out. I’ve stayed at many Hotels and usually find something to complain about somewhere—but this time there wasn’t a single issue, and I enjoyed every moment in complete comfort. While this is clearly a Hotel designed with visits to Huis Ten Bosch in mind, once you cross the bridge there’s also a JR station (remarkably close to the waterfront), so on day two we took the train and went as far as Sasebo. It’s also very useful as a base for sightseeing in Nagasaki City or Sasebo. The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety with plenty of both Japanese and Western options—I ended up eating far too much. This was my first time visiting Nagasaki and Huis Ten Bosch, and it became an unforgettable trip full of wonderful memories. Next time I’d love to stay longer—this truly is an outstanding Hotel. It was a wonderful, very comfortable Accommodation. The Room layout and atmosphere were excellent, and simply gazing at the forest view from the window was soothing—I lost track of time. The in-room Onsen was easy to use, and the water temperature was perfect whenever I bathed. The staff who assisted us were also wonderful. The meals were delicious, and the portions were just right. I would love to stay again in a different season.

I stayed with my daughter at this accommodation. I chose it after reading reviews about its delicious cuisine, and it exceeded my expectations. The steamed abalone and simmered golden eye snapper recommended by the hostess, as well as the sashimi and other dishes, were truly delicious and visually stunning. There are three baths available for private use, allowing us to relax at our own pace. I would definitely love to visit again!

Due to a change of plans, I made a Reservation the day before. It was a rainy day and I arrived early, but I was able to choose a book from the many available and enjoy reading at a relaxed pace with a cup of coffee in hand. The spacious bath, especially the bubble bath, was very soothing. The meals were so plentiful that I couldn’t finish everything. The sunrise the next morning was beautiful. There were also goats and rabbits, and if it were closer, it’s a place where I’d love to bring my dog for a Multiple Night Stay.

The welcome herbal water drink was delicious—absolutely amazing!! This is truly a tropical paradise, a Resort Hotel. The view from the ocean-view Room was breathtaking—it really felt like “time, please stop!” As we left the Hotel from the parking lot, a handsome front desk staff member waved goodbye, which left a wonderful impression. It was an excellent Hotel that made us want to come back.
