This is my second stay. When I feel tired, I come here to relax, bring what I like, and enjoy doing whatever I want. The bath can be used freely, going in and out as you please, without worrying about others. Each room has a unique charm that excites me. The staff at the front desk are kind and excellent in their service.

I stayed here in midsummer, when the high was 35°C! The air conditioner was limited to 25°C, but even at 25°C it cooled the room well. The view from the bed was amazing, and although we decided on a campfire at the last minute, we were able to purchase what we needed and had a wonderful stay at this Accommodation. A supermarket is also nearby by car, and since you can cook here, making ajillo and salad became a great memory.

As a regular sauna lover, I stayed here looking forward to the wood-burning sauna, and it exceeded my expectations! Being able to do löyly whenever I wanted in the wood-burning sauna, then stepping outside for that icy “wow” moment—it was incredibly fun! Since it was midwinter in Nasu, I was worried about the cold, but after warming up in the sauna, it wasn’t an issue at all. We cooked using the wood stove, chatted while watching the flames, and whenever we got chilly we either soaked in the Onsen or warmed up a bit in the sauna even with our clothes on. Before we knew it, we had spent most of our time outdoors. Being able to enjoy Nasu’s Onsen was a huge plus! It has some of that camping feel, but with proper indoor toilets and showers—so it felt like living in an outdoor living room. It was a nature experience unlike anything I’ve had before. The Room was spotless, and the building design is beautiful. Falling asleep while looking out at the trees and starry sky through the large windows felt truly special. This time I came with friends and had a great time talking around the campfire, but next time I’d love to bring my kids and enjoy it as a family!

As previous guests have mentioned, the drive is long after turning off the main road onto a side road. The Accommodation is about a 20-minute climb up a narrow road where passing can be difficult (it’s paved and there was no oncoming traffic). It seemed to be operated by a designated management organization, and we were welcomed by staff with wonderful smiles, who guided us to the lodge and explained the Facilities. With panoramic views over the city, we enjoyed its beauty both day and night. Recommended for families.

It was our first visit, and it turned into an even better weekend than we expected. After making the Reservation, we were happy to receive an email with recommendations for stylish spots nearby. It saved us the trouble of researching on our own and gave us peace of mind. They also share what to bring and other helpful details, so checking your email is a must. We had lunch at a galette restaurant on the way from the station to the Accommodation, then did some shopping and, after check-in, spent the whole time at the Accommodation. Check-in seems to be controlled by an automatic lock system, so you can’t enter until check-in time. (We arrived about 15 minutes early, so we waited in the car for a bit before checking in.) Sauna → taking our time cooking dinner → staying up late with wine. The next morning: sauna right after waking up, brunch, and coffee. We relaxed as if we were at home while enjoying a truly luxurious stay. The sauna was spacious and got properly hot, and the cold plunge was icy—incredible. (It snowed that day, so I think it may have been close to single digits in °C...) In the Room there were high-quality seasonings and natural wines available for an additional fee. We had no trouble cooking meals there, but if you want to make more elaborate dishes using lots of spices or herbs, bringing those along would make it perfect. Lastly, winter driving conditions made us a little nervous. There was snow buildup and black ice on the road in front of the Accommodation, so please be careful as it can be slippery. In winter, studless tires are a must—and having chains would give extra peace of mind. It feels like a place you could enjoy in any season—we’d love to come back in spring, summer, and autumn too!

We’ve stayed at this cottage during the Obon holiday season for three years in a row. This time we stayed for two nights. On the first day, there was torrential rain due to a linear rainband and we were worried, but thanks to the owner’s thoughtful support, we felt safe and reassured. It’s about a one-minute walk to the sea, and the beach feels wonderfully private—absolutely perfect. We’ll likely be back again. Thank you very much.

I had a relaxing and leisurely time. It was enjoyable. Having a rice cooker was very helpful.

We stayed for three nights. The Room was spacious and clean, with all amenities provided, and there were enough towels for the entire stay. It would have been even better if there had been a microwave. Although it is far from town, we had no particular inconvenience with a rental car.

Set amid vast natural surroundings, this Accommodation offers the chance to enjoy a spectacular night sky if you’re lucky. Please remain vigilant for bears at all times.

I had a very quiet and comfortable stay during my previous visit, so this time I chose a Multiple Night Stay. Located in the heart of Tsukahara Highlands, it was incredibly peaceful, and despite staying at the end of July, the nights were cool and comfortable without needing air conditioning. We enjoyed barbecues for two consecutive days after purchasing ingredients in Yufu City. I selected the Botiboti Room. The outdoor bath allowed us to relax while gazing at the starry sky, alternating between warming up in the bath and cooling off on an outdoor bench in the night breeze—a truly serene experience. On our second day, we even spotted a family of deer during our stay, which thrilled the children immensely. The bath is spacious; filling it with hot water made it just right for soaking comfortably. The owner was kind and approachable, providing detailed guidance with great care. I would love to stay here again when visiting Oita!

The covered balcony was perfect for BBQs. It was convenient to return indoors quickly to grab ingredients or drinks. Even without our own BBQ equipment, we managed easily with charcoal, fire starters, and a lighter. The disposable grill net and not having to clean up the charcoal were also very helpful. As a suggestion, providing mattresses, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, instant coffee, or tea would make the stay even better. Thank you for hosting us!

A rare traditional red-tile roof house on Ishigaki Island! Beautifully renovated, with a clean and spacious bathroom, so we could relax and enjoy our stay. The location is excellent—within walking distance of the public market, restaurants, convenience stores, drugstores, and more—very convenient. The property manager was kind and helpful, which made us feel safe and comfortable. We’d love to stay again.

The cottage was very comfortable with air conditioning and floor heating, making it easy to relax. We brought only the essentials and enjoyed a peaceful time surrounded by nature. The sound of the river in the morning was right nearby, and combined with great weather, it was a perfect location. The shower room and toilet were impeccably clean, which was wonderful. Additionally, the staff's service was very polite and kind, allowing us to stay with peace of mind. Thank you very much!

This was our first time staying at Cottage Karuizawa. Based on past experiences at other cottages, we usually bring extra items “just in case,” but here we were able to fully enjoy a BBQ and fireworks even without bringing anything. Seasonings, kitchen paper towels, a colander, and more were provided, and we made full use of them. We plan to stay again next year. They also kindly prepared a larger parking space for our two cars, and we truly appreciated the complimentary vegetables.

We stayed for three nights on our first visit, and the grandchildren were thrilled with how spacious it was! The parking area is a bit tight, which was slightly disappointing, but we might come back again next year.

I stayed for three nights in a detached accommodation with a high-ceilinged, atmospheric room and a lovely bath. I enjoyed relaxing in the room while listening to the sound of the river, and since the kitchen was equipped with dishes and cooking utensils, I was able to shop at a nearby supermarket and cook meals, making for a leisurely stay. The shared washing machine and dryer were convenient for laundry after trekking. The staff at the accommodation were very kind, providing detailed answers to questions while maintaining an ideal balance of attentiveness and privacy. Thanks to them, it was a very comfortable stay that made my trip wonderful.

I was a bit anxious before staying, but the accommodation (pension) was well-equipped with amenities and thoroughly cleaned. The loft-style design delighted the children, and we were very satisfied. Given the location, it’s perfect for enjoying peace and nature, though there were many insects... which is understandable (haha). I would love to stay here again.
