I had been wanting to try a soy sauce pressing experience for a long time, so I came to visit. I joined casually, but the deeply moving stories you shared left a strong impression on me. Enjoying freshly pressed soy sauce with grilled kuzumochi was exceptionally delicious. I was also happy that there was a lounge where we could freely enjoy wine and coffee. The wine provided happened to be from one of my favorite wineries, which made me even happier. The meal was wonderful—each ingredient’s flavor really stood out, and everything was delicious. There were so many ways to enjoy the soy sauce that my excitement never faded. The Room was very clean and comfortable. All of the staff were incredibly kind, and I’m truly grateful for your hospitality. It was a truly luxurious time for both mind and body. Every time we enjoy the soy sauces we bought as souvenirs, we’re reminded of Maruto Soy Sauce, and my husband and I still talk about how much fun it was whenever it comes up. We’ll be back again.

I have stayed at many hotels considered top-class, but this was the best experience I have ever had. As others have said, the hospitality was truly exceptional—beyond what I could have expected. Breakfast from Gion Kawakami was also an outstanding experience. I would love to visit again in a different season.

I’ve been wanting to visit in every season since my last stay, but our schedules never lined up, so we ended up returning in July again. The cedar-lined path from the Accommodation to Hakone Shrine felt cool and refreshing even under the strong sun, and we were lucky enough to hear the evening cicadas singing—reminding me once again how wonderful Hakone is. Even during dinner we could occasionally hear them; together with the thoughtfully prepared dishes with elegant seasoning and the recommended sake, it made for a truly luxurious time. The next day, after enjoying a healthy breakfast carefully prepared, we were kindly driven to Motohakone Port. From the deck of the pirate ship, we cruised while looking at Mt. Fuji and fully enjoying the cool breeze. We’ll be back again.

Last summer, after renting a nearby vacation home and visiting Morito Beach, we discovered SCAPES THE SUITE. We made a Reservation because we were drawn to the easy beach access and the property’s atmosphere, and we had been looking forward to our stay. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy the sea with our family, including our two young daughters. We used the pick-up and drop-off service from Zushi Station, and being greeted by a classic Cedric taxi instantly set a resort mood. We arrived a little early and planned to wait in the lobby, but perhaps because of my IKYU Diamond membership, we were shown to our Room right away. It was the twin “Mandarin Orange.” It felt more spacious than expected, with the Shonan sea right in front of us and Enoshima clearly visible at all times. Due to the weather we only caught a faint glimpse of Mt. Fuji for a moment, but having the ocean always in view was truly soothing. After the concierge kindly showed us around the Room, they helped arrange our one-hour private jacuzzi time (per Room) as well as breakfast time. We were worried about an approaching typhoon, but fortunately it took a course that didn’t affect us much—so we even enjoyed occasional sunshine. Our daughters’ family was able to swim several times, while we grandparents stayed in the Room caring for our 7-month-old grandchild. It was wonderfully relaxing. With children aged three and zero with us, we ate out for dinner; however, the Hotel restaurant also looked very appealing. This time we only had breakfast and lunch here, but next time we would love to try dinner as well. No matter where you look from within this property—the balcony or even from the jacuzzi—the view of the sea never gets old. That scenery itself felt like your greatest hospitality. We also strongly felt how much everyone working there loves Hayama—and loves this Hotel. The pride and care of both the concierge team and those serving at breakfast/the restaurant really came through. We were also delighted by your gift: Genbei’s famous beach sandals. You coordinated sizes and colors for each family member perfectly—our daughters’ family was thrilled. Finally, after receiving an outstanding carrot dressing as well, we headed home feeling refreshed. Not only in summer but in any season, SCAPES is a place where you can truly relax—and we would love to return again. Thank you very much to everyone at the Hotel.

Our family stayed for one night. The Accommodation was excellent, and all the staff were truly kind, so we had a very pleasant stay. Thank you very much. When we checked in, we received a 100th-anniversary booklet for a Ryokan at Tateshina Onsen (a sister property?). It sounded familiar, so after returning home I checked and found that we had actually stayed there when my son was still very young (nearly 20 years ago), because the tatami-mat bath felt safe for children. I’m sorry to say I had completely forgotten, but it felt like a wonderful connection. Next time, I would love to visit Tateshina Onsen as well along with this Accommodation.

This trip was mainly to visit Ise Grand Shrine, Toba, and Futamiura. I was especially looking forward to visiting Futami Okitama Shrine and seeing the Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks), so I searched for the Accommodation closest to the shrine and chose “Oishiya.” From the very beginning, I was impressed by the exceptionally courteous and pleasant service. From arriving by taxi through check-in, being shown to my Room, dining, and even the Shuttle Service to the station after check-out, everything was handled in such a welcoming way that it made for a truly wonderful trip. To the proprietress, manager, attendants, Shuttle Service driver, and everyone at Oishiya, thank you very much. Dinner was a charcoal-grilled seafood kaiseki course. Starting with appetizers and sashimi, the main dishes featured an abundant selection including abalone, squid, turban shell, other shellfish, and vegetables. Being able to enjoy abalone both grilled and as sashimi made it an especially luxurious meal. The meal was so plentiful that I’m sorry I ended up leaving one dish unfinished. I also appreciate the attendant’s thoughtful consideration regarding dessert. The view of Futami’s sea from the panoramic bath was exceptional—I enjoyed it many times: before dinner, after dinner, and early in the morning. The location of this Accommodation is also perfect for accessing Futami Okitama Shrine. After check-in, after dinner, at sunrise time, and after check-out, I was able to visit a total of four times—it meant so much to me. Every view was wonderful, but the scenery at sunrise was truly unforgettable. Staying at “Oishiya” made this an outstanding trip. If I have another opportunity, I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

We were satisfied with everything—the guest room, the private open-air bath, and the restaurant. The retro furnishings in the room were truly comforting, and we were impressed by the thoughtful care in the meals. We enjoyed a level of luxury that exceeded the price. This is a Hotel we would love to visit again. The Hotel staff were also wonderful. As I get older, I find peace in an Accommodation like this. I hadn’t had many chances to visit Chichibu before, but this was an excellent Hotel as a base for visiting Mitsumine Shrine, Chichibu Shrine, and Hodosan Shrine (the Chichibu Three Shrines pilgrimage), as well as sightseeing in Nagatoro. The guest room was very clean, and we were able to relax and fully enjoy the semi-open-air bath. We also made a Reservation for the sake pairing Plan, and they suggested many types of sake that matched our preferences, which made it a wonderful experience. The food was delicious as well—this is an Accommodation we would love to visit again! All of the staff were kind, making this trip truly unforgettable. Thank you very much.

The female staff member at reception during check-in impressed me with her proactive, exemplary hospitality. I stay at Hotels for a change of pace, and this Hotel made me feel at ease in every way—facilities, staff, and overall comfort—with no small discomforts. It was part of the Plan, but I gladly took them up on it and stayed for 24 hours. At reception, they said, “Please let us know if there is anything you need,” showing a positive attitude. At the restaurant as well: “Please relax and enjoy your stay.” They even asked, “Did you sleep well?” You don’t often hear that elsewhere. It had been a while since I stayed at a major international chain Hotel, and their training truly showed. The Room design is also charming. I can see why it’s popular with guests from both Japan and abroad.

During our stay, the staff’s hospitality was truly outstanding, and we are sincerely grateful. They kindly and flexibly consulted with us about the early-morning visit and breakfast times, and they were happy to accommodate sudden changes. There is no TV in the Room, but the quietness was actually very comfortable, and we enjoyed a much-needed digital detox. The sounds of insects and cicadas in the early morning made our trip even more enriching. The Room, making beautiful use of a traditional kura storehouse, blends history and modern comfort seamlessly—our stay itself felt like a special experience. We were also deeply comforted by your thoughtful gesture of providing “Misogi-no-Yu” for guests who are unable to visit Futami Okitama Shrine before praying at Ise Jingu. If we have the opportunity, we would love to return again next time. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time!

All of the staff were extremely kind and made our stay very comfortable. Every dish was delicious, with just the right portions, and the timing of each course was perfect—we were very satisfied. The open-air bath was especially relaxing. This is a Ryokan we would love to stay at again when we visit Miyajima.

Using aromatic vegetables, fish, and meat from the Kyoto area, each ingredient is prepared and served with the utmost care to preserve its natural fragrance, flavor, and texture in the best possible way. The chef’s evolving craft was truly impressive. I was also moved by the sommelier’s sincere dedication to wine. The cuisine feels perfectly suited to this one-of-a-kind Meiji-era mansion dining experience in Japan.

Pickup service The Room atmosphere—everything was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious, and we were able to spend a lovely time; we were truly happy and had a great time. We also appreciate the attentive care from the staff. Thank you for making our Miyajima trip unforgettable.

The floors throughout the Ryokan were comfortable to walk on barefoot, making it feel like home. I completely understood why rolling suitcases are not allowed. I could really appreciate the owner’s attention to detail, and I thought it was wonderful. The location was excellent, and the meals were delicious.

We had a truly relaxing stay. We had planned our sightseeing itinerary in advance, and when we shared it with the staff, they adjusted our breakfast time, arranged taxis, and even prepared our Room to match our schedule. Thanks to that, we could return to the Room between outings to take a bath and change clothes—making it feel like we were relaxing at home. The person who looked after us interacted with us at just the right distance—always attentive without being intrusive—and respected our time. They quietly observed what we needed and responded naturally, which made us realize what genuine hospitality really is. The meals were also outstanding. With every dish, we could feel the care and thought put into preparing it for the guest. Everything was delicious, and we finished every bite. The tableware was charming as well—each piece unique—and beautifully paired with the food. The Room was the perfect size for two of us. Since this trip focused on sightseeing, we chose a Room with a hinoki bath rather than an open-air bath, and it was wonderfully soothing. Drink refills and towel replacements were handled thoroughly, and they even prepared sweet potatoes as a late-night snack—we enjoyed them very much. The message that came with them also felt warm and thoughtful. We were impressed by all the small touches as well—the Shuttle Service to night kagura performances, plus cushions and shoe bags thoughtfully provided. After seeing the CDs and books in the Room, we decided that next time we’d like to stay not only for sightseeing but also to spend an entire day relaxing in the Accommodation. Thank you for providing such a comfortable space and time. It was truly a wonderful Accommodation—one that makes us want to return right away. That said… I hope it doesn’t become too hard to get a Reservation (laugh).

This was our family’s first stay, and it was wonderful. With my birthday coming up the following week, we happened to mention it at check-in, and they surprised me at dinner with live music and a dessert—plus sweets as a gift—to celebrate! We hadn’t informed them in advance about the Reserver, so I was truly touched by the surprise. Thank you very much. All of the staff were professional—from guiding our car on arrival to explaining the Hotel, as well as the lounge and restaurant teams—and they made our stay comfortable from start to finish. The housekeeping staff also greeted us warmly. The Facility was just as beautiful as in the photos, and everything—from the amenities to the in-room sweets and beverages—was thoughtfully selected, which really conveyed their hospitality. The restaurant meals for both breakfast and dinner were vibrant, uncompromising, and absolutely delicious. I was genuinely impressed by this top-class Accommodation. We will definitely return. All the staff had wonderful smiles, the art-filled space was relaxing, and the food was excellent—our child was smiling the whole time. We thought it would be even better if children could stay together in a wider variety of Rooms. It became a great summer memory.

I originally made a Reservation at “Nene no Michi Bettei,” but due to a change in Room allocation, I ended up staying at Hotel VMG Kyoto Kamogawa. From check-in to check-out, I was deeply impressed by the staff’s impeccable attention to detail and thoughtful hospitality. Sleeping in the bedroom while gazing up at the coffered ceiling felt like an “exceptional escape from everyday life.” At the paid lounge, alcohol and other drinks are available free-flow, with snacks as well—it truly feels like a private lounge. Because the property preserves the character of a historic building, soundproofing is not perfect; however, it more than makes up for it with an elegant, nostalgic atmosphere. The Japanese-style room next to the bedroom overlooks a small courtyard garden and offers a wonderfully atmospheric view that made time feel as if it passed more slowly. That said, perhaps because the air conditioning does not reach this room easily, I found the heat noticeable. Although it would involve additional cost, lending spot coolers or simple heaters to guests upon request during limited seasons (summer/winter) could help make better use of this room and may also become a new experiential highlight—especially for international travelers. I’m truly grateful to all of the staff for giving me such an extraordinary stay. This is a Hotel I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking an “indescribably exceptional escape from everyday life.”

We had to change our travel Plan due to our own circumstances, and we truly appreciate your courteous and prompt assistance. This time, we chose Kikunoya because we wanted to take our time sightseeing in Miyajima. Its convenient location near Itsukushima Shrine and Daisho-in allowed us to enjoy the area with the Hotel as our base. Not only at the front desk but also during the Shuttle Service ride, we were able to hear stories and helpful local tips about Miyajima, which made our visits even more enjoyable. It was great that I could take my dog for a normal walk. The Room was also cleaned well, and my dog relaxed without any fuss. The bath had a larger tub than a Business Hotel, and the shampoo and other amenities provided had a pleasant herbal scent. Being able to eat in the Room was also nice because my dog didn’t feel lonely. Even though it has an auto-lock, I accidentally went out without my key, and they came to unlock it for me twice. They helped me without showing any annoyance, which I really appreciated. I’m glad there were places nearby for walks. The cakes from the cake shop just a 1-minute walk away were delicious too.
