I stayed here with my husband and our dog. The owner is a true dog lover, and our dog was able to relax and feel at ease. The Accommodation was very clean, thoroughly well maintained down to every corner, which made our stay very comfortable. And most of all, the bath was a wonderful surprise! The open-air bath was fantastic. Since we were the only guests this time, we could enjoy it at our preferred times and soak in peace—it felt like a real luxury. Dinner was Italian cuisine: appetizers, two pasta dishes, Nasu beef, and dessert. Everything was truly delicious. For breakfast we could choose between pizza muffins and French toast, but we wanted both so we ordered both and shared. The French toast in particular was outstanding! We had a relaxing and enjoyable time with our dog, making it a very satisfying one-night trip. We would love to visit again.

We stayed with three family members and one dog. The Room was very clean, the private open-air bath was relaxing, and the meals were generous. If we have the chance, we would love to stay again.

This was my first stay. With only three groups per day, it’s a private pet-friendly Accommodation with a gentle, welcoming atmosphere. The cuisine was excellent, as you’d expect from a Ryokan—especially the sesame tofu and soba. Meals were served in a private dining room. Our dog happily ate the dog pizza. We stayed in the “Kuu-chan” tatami Room on the first floor, which felt a bit too spacious, but it was comfortable with no odors. The bath was a private reservable bath assigned to each Room. Since we visited in August, it was too hot outside to do much. We heard bears may appear around places like Enakyo Gorge. One downside was that a belly band (manner belt) is required inside the Room.

While browsing Reviews for an Accommodation where we could stay with our pet, natural Onsen, and dining options, we found Takakatsu and decided to stay there. The hospitality, guest room, water quality, cuisine, and the Onsen town—all were more than satisfying. However, while the amount of food was sufficient for us as a couple, it might feel a bit small for younger guests. We will be back again.

A lot has happened recently, and my husband took the lead and worked hard through it all. Now that things have finally settled down, we chose to stay here so he—and our dogs—could relax and enjoy some carefree time together. My husband said he was happy to experience something out of the ordinary again after a long time! The food was delicious, and we were truly satisfied with everything, including the Hotel staff’s hospitality and their thoughtful care for our dogs. This was our third stay, and once again we were completely satisfied. Last time we stayed in a first-floor corner Room with a private dog run, which was very comfortable in its own way, but this time we had a third-floor corner Room. There wasn’t a private dog run, but the high ceilings made the entire Room feel spacious and open, and it was truly relaxing. The first and third floors each have their own unique appeal. What left the strongest impression again this time was the food. Dinner is served in the Room, so there’s no need to leave your dog behind and move to a dining area—everyone can relax without worry. That alone is a huge plus when traveling with a dog, but beyond that, the quality of the cuisine is exceptionally high. Not only are the ingredients excellent, each one is thoughtfully prepared with an extra touch of care—you can really feel the chef’s craftsmanship in every dish. It’s not just beautiful to look at; it’s genuinely delicious. Honestly, if I ever appeared on “The Best Restaurant of My Life,” I might even nominate this place. That’s how memorable dinner here is every time. It’s also wonderful that breakfast is served in the Room as well. Without having to move around with your dog or worry about others from early morning, you can enjoy your meal at your own pace. And of course breakfast is delicious too—overall satisfaction with meals from dinner through breakfast is extremely high. The baths were outstanding as well. Our whole family used the large public bath three times during our stay. It fully delivers on what you hope for when coming all the way to Hakone—to truly enjoy an Onsen. The staff are also very experienced with guests traveling with dogs and interact naturally without making things feel overly formal, which gives great peace of mind. You may occasionally hear dogs barking inside the building, but there’s an atmosphere of mutual understanding among guests, which made it easy to relax. After three stays—and feeling “we want to come back” every single time—this has become an Accommodation that will likely be our first choice for our next trip to Hakone as well.

We stayed in a villa with our family of four and our Chihuahua. Since it’s a bit away from the main building, we were very satisfied that Shuttle Service was provided each time we needed it. The Room and bath were amazing, and our daughters were excited the whole time! The food quality was excellent—especially the risotto, which was incredibly delicious. We also used the pool and were very satisfied. If I could share just two suggestions: since we traveled with our dog, it would have been nice if the area around the villa had better-maintained paths for walking. Also, while Wi‑Fi was available, we wished the TV had internet access so we could watch Netflix or YouTube. Overall, we were very satisfied. Thank you very much.

Each Room comes with a private open-air bath, and meals can be served in the Room as well, so we were able to relax without worrying about others. What made us happiest was how well the Accommodation is set up for dogs! In addition to a private dog run just for our Room, there is an indoor dog run on-site, and outside the Accommodation there are two more dog runs—one with wood chips and one with grass—making four in total. We could choose where to play depending on our mood and the weather. The meals were also delicious, making great use of Izu’s fish, meat, and vegetables. There was an excellent selection of menu items for our dog as well, and they finished everything in no time. All of the staff were very dog-friendly, and it really showed how much they care about dogs. It became a wonderful memory where we could truly relax together with our dog. Thank you very much.

This was our second stay as a couple with our dog. Because it is a private rental house with exterior walls, we didn’t have to worry about the surroundings and were able to relax and enjoy a luxurious time in the Room. For meals, the ingredients were prepared in the refrigerator and we cooked for ourselves, but the recipes made it easy to prepare everything smoothly. We also appreciated that the menu was different on the second night, so we never got bored. The staff were very polite and kind. Even if we had questions, we could reach them by phone, which made us feel at ease throughout our stay. It was also great fun chatting during check-in and check-out. Our dog looked happy from start to finish. It was an Accommodation that makes us want to come back again for sure.

This was our first trip with our beloved dog, who is like family to us. We were completely satisfied with everything—the clean and beautifully maintained living room, kitchen, bedroom, wood deck, and dog run—and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The water facilities, toilet, and bathroom were also spotless, like new, and very comfortable to use. We would love to visit again soon. Thank you very much.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. On the second day, our beloved dog suddenly passed away. As a senior dog, we had prepared for the possibility, but it happened so unexpectedly that we had not brought items such as ice packs for bringing him home. The Hotel kindly provided a basket to lay him to rest in, towels, ice packs, and a blanket. We had reserved dinner at the restaurant as well, but thanks to the staff’s thoughtful consideration, they arranged a private room for us. Because there was a thunderstorm, they also drove us to the dining venue by car, allowing us to enjoy one last meal slowly with him by our side. We are truly sorry for any trouble we caused during the busy summer holiday season. Thanks to your support, we were able to return home safely and send him off peacefully. This year’s extreme heat was especially hard on senior dogs, but we are very grateful that he was able to spend his final moments in the cool Nasu Highlands—enjoying his favorite dog run, Onsen time, and delicious meals. This was our first stay here, and I feel it is rare to find a Hotel that can respond so quickly and compassionately in an emergency. We still have two other dogs at home and would love to visit again. Of course, both the meals and the Facility were excellent as well. Thank you very much for all your help during our stay.

The owners were truly kind and welcoming, and their hospitality was very soothing. The resident dogs, Bell and Cherry, were also adorable. The Room was spacious, and the dog run outside the Room was great. All of the meals were delicious, especially the duck steak, the pudding-like dessert, the fresh salad, the morning cherry tomato salad-like dish, and the egg-salad omelet-style dish. We would love to visit again.

We stayed for one night in Yayoi in July with our dog as a couple. We’ve stayed at many dog-friendly Accommodations, and this is the best one for us. I especially love sulfur Onsen, and while other dog-friendly Accommodations we’ve stayed at had Onsen, none had sulfur springs. Here, there is also a free-flowing natural hot spring bath in the Room, so we didn’t have to leave our dog waiting to go to a public bath. Even though many places don’t allow dogs in the bathroom area, this Accommodation provided a dog bathtub, shampoo, and towels—I've never stayed anywhere so thoughtful. Our senior large dog kept coming to watch us enjoy the Onsen with curiosity. Just walking through the spilled water from the free-flowing sulfur spring at the washing area turned his rough, cracked paw pads into smooth ones—just like the Reviews said. It’s truly an amazing Onsen. The Imabari bath towel after bathing was fluffy and very comfortable. Since it was a No Meals Included stay, we mainly brought takeout from Nasu restaurants. We also bought Nasu cheese and sausages along with drinks and snacks, and picked up bread and yogurt for breakfast at a nearby shop before heading to the Accommodation. With the best sulfur Onsen, delicious food and drinks from Nasu, a quiet setting, we were able to relax completely. Our dog also seemed very satisfied with the cool highland climate, peaceful greenery-filled surroundings, and private feel without running into other dogs—he looked truly relaxed. All of us were soothed by both nature and the Onsen and went home extremely happy. My husband said he wants to come again in winter too—so we’ll be making another Reservation. I stayed for two nights on my first trip to Hakodate. The view was amazing, and everything—from the service to the Room—was excellent. The Hotel also offers loaner bicycles, and there are plenty of car rentals and convenience stores nearby. It’s also within walking distance of the station. There’s a morning market just a short walk away, so I had breakfast there. When I arrived in heavy rain, they immediately lent me a towel, which really warmed my heart. Even though I went in and out several times a day, the staff always greeted me with a smile, saying “Have a nice day” and “Welcome back.” I never had to wait for the elevator, which made my stay very comfortable. The Room was spotless as well. This is a Hotel I’d definitely want to stay at again on my next trip. Thank you very much!

Thank you very much—I’m truly grateful for such a wonderful trip experience. I had errands in Hita City (where record-high temperatures have been continuing), so I stayed overnight in Yufuin as well. It was intensely hot that day too، but from evening through night Yufuin felt like another world—so cool that air conditioning didn’t seem necessary. While winters are certainly very cold، I never expected Yufuin to be this cool in summer، so it turned out to be a happy surprise. The Onsen temperature was perfect—even in summer—for soaking slowly，and all my fatigue disappeared. In the morning，with Mt．Yufu right ahead of me，surrounded by birdsong，I enjoyed an unhurried soak. It was amazingly cool even then. As described，the shower does take a little time before hot water comes out. If set to mist mode，it stays cold. There are two private family baths، but one was under adjustment and unavailable، so I deducted one star. In-room drinks were available freely. Daifuku were prepared according to our party size؛ since they were cream-based، those who don’t like creamy sweets didn’t eat them. A more classic type of sweet might suit everyone better—but I personally enjoyed them. Dinner started with eel shabu-shabu before the main Wagyu steak course. I felt slightly uneasy at first—but it turned out absolutely superb!! It was part of the July menu (Fumizuki)، and I'd love to have it again. The plump texture and deliciousness clearly came from careful preparation. The soup after drawing flavor from the broth became wonderfully rich؛ I asked for refills many times。 They offered zosui (rice porridge)，but we chose to enjoy it as soup instead。 Then beautifully glossy white rice arrived—and turning that into porridge would have been such a waste，so I'm glad we kept them separate。 All other dishes also left my family—usually quite strict with reviews—very satisfied。 We could bring our dog without any hesitation۔ There is also a dog run that's just right for small dogs，and ours looked delighted running around。 Even though we'd stayed years ago ،they remembered that our dog hadn't finished his meal then ،and had eaten half at dinner و half at breakfast—which made us feel reassured۔ Service-wise ،there wasn't even once when something felt off۔ Although our interaction time wasn't long ，they took great care of us۔ Thank you again for everything۔ I hope we can return throughout different seasons۔

This was my second visit since coming in May. My dog (my beloved “daughter”) was thrilled. It was about 5°C cooler than down below, but the late-summer heat was still intense, and it felt hot in the sun. My dog ran around the nature-filled dog run and had a great time. Because it was a weekday after the Obon holidays, it wasn’t crowded, so we could relax and enjoy ourselves. The building was clean, and the Room was also very clean. The large public bath felt like we had it to ourselves, so we could unwind and fully enjoy it. (We went twice.) The food was delicious as well. Since it’s close to home, it’s easy to plan travel time both ways, and for me this Facility has an ideal location. I’d love to take another overnight trip with my dog. All of the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Thank you very much.

As our dog entered its ninth month, we stayed at a Resort Hotel for the first time, and it was a wonderful experience. We were warmly welcomed by dog-loving staff. We stayed in a Garden Moderate Room on the first floor, and everything was thoughtfully prepared—not only the Facility and private dog run, but also detailed amenities for dogs. The Room was clean and comfortable with considerate touches for owners as well, and we were very satisfied with the delicious meals. After breakfast, we could take a walk to nearby Kumoba Pond before check-out, so the location is great too. Since Regina Resort seems to have locations in various areas, we’d like to visit not only Karuizawa but other destinations as well. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality.

This was my first trip to Hakodate. There is only one direct flight a day from Nagoya, and I was incredibly lucky to get a ticket. Visiting a new place for the first time is so exciting. The Room had huge floor-to-ceiling windows with a panoramic view of Mt. Hakodate. The space was generous, and the bathtub and sink were spacious as well. The lighting switches were thoughtfully placed throughout, making everything very convenient—it was almost too comfortable! Dinner at Kita Jin (booked separately) was also excellent: premium Genghis Khan in a private room, relaxed and delicious. Breakfast was around 8:00, and we were seated right away. We came without much prior knowledge and were amazed by the variety—and even more by the quality of every dish. My spouse and I travel all over the whole country, and this may have been our best breakfast ever. Personally, I loved the eel snack with tea, dim sum, sashimi, chiffon cake, and egg tarts. What stayed with us most from this trip was meeting so many wonderful people in Hakodate: The kind driver with a great smile on the airport limousine bus. At lunchtime at Lucky Pierrot near the station—busy as it was—a female staff member still let us draw an Ichiban Kuji lottery ticket and gave us a pin badge with a big smile. At NIPPONIA Hotel Hakodate Port Town on our first day—a female staff member kindly explained everything and gave us a hand-drawn illustrated map of nearby spots within walking distance. On an evening sightseeing taxi tour to see Mt. Hakodate’s night view—a female driver born in Hakodate from Donan Taxi carefully explained local history, the Western-style houses in Motomachi, and the origins of Soma-tei. The staff who made our motorboat cruise even more enjoyable under clear skies the next day. At lunch near the station at Uni Specialty Shop Yoichiya—a female employee whose attentiveness and refined service truly impressed us. And above all, at Century Marina’s front desk—the female staff member who kindly explained everything for our first stay left a wonderful impression with her polite service; of course, the male staff member at checkout was also outstanding. The quick yet courteous service at Kita Jin was excellent as well—we are truly grateful to have stayed at this Hotel. It was an intense 2-night/3-day trip to Hakodate, but seeing everyone working so hard to make their city shine really moved us—it looked genuinely inspiring. We will definitely come again. I truly fell in love with historic Hakodate from the bottom of my heart!

The dining here is outstanding—although it’s a buffet, everything looked so good that we wanted to try it all, and every dish was delicious.
