We stayed during the Obon holiday. We were looking forward to the meals, and they exceeded our expectations. There was truly more food than we could finish. We had seen reviews saying there would be a lot, so we ate a light lunch before coming, but still… My spouse, who didn’t like sea bream that much, said this stay changed their mind and they ended up loving it. If you want to enjoy delicious fish, Hyosuke is highly recommended.

We chose this place because we wanted to enjoy live Matsuba crab, and it was exactly what we hoped for. The course included a comparison with Seiko crab, and we were very satisfied. They also kindly explained how to eat everything in detail. When we mentioned we couldn’t finish the final rice porridge, they prepared it for breakfast the next morning. Because it was cold outside, we used the private family bath. You fill it yourself, and I liked it so much I went in twice. The water was wonderfully silky and soothing. At checkout, we were happy to receive a souvenir of freshly grilled chikuwa, but above all, we were truly satisfied with the landlady’s fun conversation, warm smile, and heartfelt hospitality.

Conveniently located right near Yunotsu Onsen Motoyu and Yakushiyu, the Room was clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meals. It’s far from where I live, but I would definitely like to visit again if I have the chance. If your schedule allows, be sure to watch the Iwami Kagura held at Ryugozen Shrine.

After arriving at the Accommodation, we borrowed an electric scooter and took a stroll along the seaside. Back in the Room, we worked up a sweat in the wood-burning stove sauna and felt refreshed, then enjoyed ice cream in the lounge while playing Pac-Man (lol). For dinner, we savored dishes featuring superb live squid and Saga beef with Tiger Beer, then went to sleep in a spacious bed while gazing out at the sea. Breakfast was also excellent—the rice was sweet and delicious, paired with local specialties like mirin-dried fish and squid shumai that you can only find here. After that, we took a cruise ship around Kabeshima Island. In the calm summer Genkai Sea, on the far side of Kabeshima we saw columnar joints like natural stone walls, listened to stories about islands near and far, and felt the wind as the boat sped along. We truly enjoyed an exceptionally special time. There are still so many great points I can’t even write them all—this all-inclusive Plan is simply amazing. On our way back they drove us to Karatsu-Nishi Station, making it easy to get to Hakata as well; it’s surprisingly accessible even without a car. This is an Accommodation I’ll keep remembering fondly long after returning home.

It was my first time in Hakodate. The location is very convenient, with many restaurants and the morning market nearby, making it easy to stay even without meals included. The Room was very spacious, and as a tall person, I felt extremely comfortable. The Room also had cutlery available, so we could reheat the "Yakitori Bento" we wanted to try using the microwave provided in the Room, plate it nicely, and share it between two people. I also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of warming up the Room before check-in. Highly recommended condominium!

We were looking for an Accommodation to visit Izumo Taisha, and chose this place because we loved the style—like staying in a private villa—and the interior design. The interior is, of course, wonderful, and it’s so comfortable that rather than filling your schedule with plans, we recommend spending a relaxing time at the Accommodation. Experiencing the owner’s warm personality and hospitality made our trip many times more special and memorable. The Accommodation itself feels like a true power spot. That thoughtful attention shows in every detail: every Room was spotless and cozy, and our stay was deeply relaxing. It was such a lovely Accommodation that it naturally made us think, “We want to stay again.”

At first, I hesitated to make a reservation since there was no large public bath, but the highly-rated meals convinced me to go ahead. This was the best accommodation I've ever stayed at. Each dish felt carefully prepared and was incredibly delicious. There was plenty of my favorite sashimi, lots of seasonal vegetables, and a healthy menu that left me very satisfied. Although I felt quite full, the portions were just right so I could finish everything without leaving any food behind (which would have made me feel guilty and wasteful). The second night's dinner especially impressed me with its variety—sashimi, simmered fish, fried fish, fish Meunière—and even meat dishes were included! There was an onsen within walking distance right behind the hotel where I could enjoy soaking despite there being no large public bath onsite. The rooftop sauna also felt amazing. I tried SUP for the first time and found it easy to ride and fun! Being able to go directly from my room in swimwear made it super convenient. If I have another chance to visit, I'd definitely love to stay here again!

Winter crab, early-summer white squid, and the salt-kiln-grilled abalone we always request as an optional add-on. At Waraku, you can enjoy seasonal delicacies throughout the year, but this time we tried their limited-time wild tiger pufferfish course for the first time, available only around Golden Week. We were truly impressed by the depth of Yuhigaura’s seafood. The beautifully presented sashimi platter (tessa) had a pleasantly chewy texture and was so delicious it ranks No. 1 among all the meals we’ve had at accommodations! The grilled milt was also exceptionally large, plump, and rich—perfect with Waraku’s own-label Junmai Daiginjo sake. And in this season especially, the private garden by the detached guest room feels at its most beautiful, with blooming flowers and vivid green moss. Whenever we’re worn out from everyday life and want to relax and feel restored, we always visit Waraku to Clear our minds.

We used this for a trip to Kamogawa Sea World with our child. The room was clean and well-maintained, which was excellent. The staff were also very pleasant. We would love to stay here again if we have the chance.

On Nokonoshima, we took a free bus to the beach and enjoyed swimming. Afterward, we told the reception that we were staying at Villa Sakimori, and they provided a free Shuttle Service for us. They also answered our questions by email in advance, so we felt comfortable using the service on the day. The Room was very clean and well maintained. The food was delicious, the service was pleasant, and it was an Accommodation we would like to visit again. However, since it is surrounded by nature, those who dislike insects should be aware.

As the first trip to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, we stayed at Arayashiki in Oki. We were able to relax as if we were at home, including enjoying the garden with a sky full of stars and a campfire. The meals reflected a deep respect for nature and made us feel, “This is what doing things right looks like.” The nature on Dogo Island was wonderful, but as someone who loves spectacular views, I’m glad we made the effort to visit Matengai Cliff in Dozen. If the timing works out, I’d love for our children to experience this too.

We stayed as three families and booked three villas. Each villa had a lovely Room, and we had a very comfortable stay. The complimentary drinks and snacks at the management building were also a nice touch. Since it was still a bit early for ocean activities, we brought our own fishing gear and relaxed. The staff kindly arranged the setup so all three families could dine together, and we had a great time sharing BBQ, bouillabaisse, and sushi. We were worried dinner might not be enough, so we bought extra meat beforehand, but it turned out to be more than enough—everything was delicious. The clam miso soup served with the sushi was especially outstanding. Breakfast was also stylish, with bagels as the main item on the plate, and it tasted great. However, for children who don’t like bagels or for my father who has dental issues, they were too hard to eat—so it would be nice to have a choice of several options such as croissants or French toast. The yogurt was plain with no sweetness, so fruit yogurt or jam served on the side would be appreciated. The Room was comfortable overall, and both the beds and futons felt wonderful. One small inconvenience was that there wasn’t a place to hang bath towels; having one behind the sink would be helpful. There were hangers and a rack, but once we hung jackets and clothes it was full. Since swimwear is required in Rooms with an outdoor bath, I think additional hangers and space to dry wet swimsuits are necessary. I’ve noted some points here, but overall this was an excellent Accommodation and we would love to visit again. All staff members were kind and responded thoughtfully to our requests. Thank you very much for everything.

It was a wonderful Accommodation with an excellent Onsen. We had our meals at the restaurant, and each dish was carefully prepared and tasted superb. The tableware also enhanced the presentation of the cuisine, making it feel even more delicious. We would love to visit again.

I usually don't write reviews for accommodations, but this trip was truly unforgettable, so I decided to share my experience. Around 12:20 AM, there was an unexpected power outage. While waiting for the power to be restored, it became inconvenient (cold and unable to flush the toilet), so I filed a complaint around 1:00 AM. It turned out that the entire area was affected by the outage and nothing could be done about it. I deeply regret filing a complaint under such circumstances. The power was restored around 3:00 AM, and I can only imagine how hard it must have been for the staff during that time. Looking outside, I saw people in the area working together to address the situation—it warmed my heart. The whole community came together as one team; it was truly remarkable and made me feel ashamed of my earlier complaint. Additionally, lanterns were placed in hallways without us even noticing when they were set up—this thoughtful response left me deeply moved. On another note, both dinner and breakfast were outstanding! Having traveled extensively and stayed at various accommodations before, this one stands out as exceptional (the cost-performance ratio is amazing; it's a level of service unimaginable on Honshu). Compared to other famous seafood regions like Izu, Ishikawa, Boso Peninsula, Ehime, Miyagi, Akita... even Hokkaido—this place ranks No.1 for me! The photos of meals are just a glimpse—they truly exceeded expectations. Due to unforeseen circumstances on that day requiring me to be in Hakata City by 8:00 PM., we consulted with staff who kindly adjusted our dinner start time earlier despite short notice and ensured quick service during our meal—I am extremely grateful. One minor disappointment would be with the bathing facility setup—I had booked a standard room but regretted not choosing a suite instead after seeing what they offered later on-site; if shown beforehand upon arrival perhaps would've upgraded immediately! Overall though—from handling unexpected events like outages or accommodating special requests regarding dining arrangements—this trip has been extraordinary beyond words thanks largely due efforts from your wonderful team members whom deserve heartfelt gratitude making sure everything went smoothly leaving lasting impression forever cherished memory indeed! If ratings allowed higher than five stars surely would give them here since overall experience surpasses expectations entirely deserving perfect score across board absolutely phenomenal stay thank-you again please continue providing such excellent hospitality always!

This trip was partly to revisit Toyama, where I lived for about six months during my first year as a new employee some 30 years ago, and I was truly comforted by this Ryokan’s subtle yet warm hospitality. *My single-person dorm was in Toyama City, and I remember going to Aeon in Takaoka (was it Warner Mycal back then?) to watch a movie. The meals were delicious—I finished the entire rice tub (enough for about 2–3 bowls) and ended up drinking two bottles of beer as well. I was initially concerned about the shared refrigerator and planned not to use it when I made the Reservation, but since the system lets you write your Room number on a sticky note, I felt comfortable using it. To give an honest Review: I did wish the bath were a bit larger, but it was very clean and relaxing. It rained the next morning, but the location is excellent—you can stop by Kawanoeki Shinminato, Kaiwomaru Park, and the famous roadside station Amaharashi Coast (Michi-no-Eki), and still easily drop in at Himi Fish Market Cafeteria. To be frank, I expected to stay here simply because it was inexpensive; however, compared with an Accommodation in Fukui where things only looked good on the surface without matching reality (where I stayed the next day), this Ryokan’s strengths stood out even more. In any case, highly recommended.

Is the Accommodation named Ryugu Palace, with Otohime as the first-floor restaurant, and are guests treated like Urashima Taro? Otohime’s meals were delicious, and nearby there are: Hamburg Club within walking distance Cafe Daibosatsu Pass a few minutes away by car Both are fascinating places—I feel like I could end up eating about five meals a day.

We stayed as a family of four with our pet. The four-person room, pet-friendly policy, and the ability to dine with our pet were excellent. It was especially helpful since our dog is elderly. Thank you for handling the forgotten item as well. It was a delightful stay for all four of us together after a long time.

We searched for an Accommodation to go eat rock oysters! Seven rock oyster dishes & live squid sashimi. It was absolutely amazing. Boiled crab was included too, with a three-item platter. Appetizer: such a huge volume we couldn’t finish it all. Dote hot pot and fresh oyster spring rolls—menus we’d never had before, and we really enjoyed them. Everything gets top marks except that there wasn’t a refrigerator in the Room. The staff were also very kind, great value and delicious! We want to come again.

This was my first time staying here, and I stayed in a villa. The staff’s service and the reception were great, and everything was very clean, which left a really good impression! The Room was very spacious, and the bath and toilet were also clean! I don’t really have any complaints, but if I had to mention one thing: this time we brought our own food and had a BBQ, and I thought it would be nice if the electric grill grate had slightly finer gaps. It was my first stay, but I had a wonderful time. Overall, it was such a great Accommodation that I’d recommend it to others!

We stayed here for the first time as a family during summer vacation, and it was beautiful by the seaside. The kids had a great time playing on the private beach. Above all, the hostess’s hospitality was excellent. The food was delicious, and we were able to enjoy fireworks by borrowing a bucket and other items, which made for wonderful memories.\nWe’d love to stay again.
