Both the experience and the price were perfect—absolutely amazing!

A truly great Hotel. The owner is kind and attentive. If you’re searching for a Hotel and can’t decide, you should definitely choose this one!

We took a one-night family trip with our second-grade son. Just as the high ratings suggest, we’re glad we chose this Accommodation. The staff were very kind, and the food was so delicious it made us say “wow.” Our child was happy playing with the provided toys and games. Also, the chilled barley tea prepared in the Room was a nice touch. The scenery felt like being in the middle of a forest. However, in the bathroom, the blinds blocked any view outside, and we were a bit concerned about stains on the white wooden slatted mat. We made great memories exploring a limestone cave (there was a 100-yen discount coupon per person at this Accommodation), having lunch at the restaurant by Okutama Lake Dam the next day, and enjoying our train trip. Thank you very much.

I discovered an accommodation with a vibe I absolutely love while researching after hearing about someone's camping trip! It looks like a Bali resort, just as shown in the photos. Despite the unfortunate weather, the campfire was no problem. The private space was amazing and very satisfying. Highly recommended!!! (I’d love to visit again on a sunny summer day!) For those considering this place, here’s some information about the facilities: - A marshmallow set is available in the fridge, but there are no sticks for roasting them over the campfire. Bringing your own might be helpful if you plan to roast marshmallows. - Pink and black rock salt are provided along with graters. Black pepper is also available in a mill form. - There are six plates around 20cm in size and two plates approximately 28cm in size. - An 80cm wooden plate is available, which is convenient for serving meals if you prepare your own food. - About eight bottles of mineral water (500ml each) and one bag of ice are provided (the fridge has a freezer compartment). - The outdoor kitchen only has running water (no hot water). - It can get quite dark at night when working in the kitchen area, and it may feel cold at night too (two blankets are available in one of the room drawers). - Balancing hot and cold water can be tricky (especially for showers and sinks), so I’d rate it four stars because of this issue. - Starting a fire for the campfire is relatively easy! - The pool contains regular water, so it’s likely only usable during summer months. - The Bluetooth speaker by B&O adds an elegant touch. - There are stairs from the parking lot to reach your tent.

This was my second stay. During my previous visit, I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful environment, and this time, with the addition of sauna facilities and the installation of stairs to the river, I noticed an upgrade in both the facilities and hospitality, which made me very satisfied. I brought foreign guests with me this time, and I was delighted that they enjoyed it even more than our trip to Kamikochi and Karuizawa the previous week. As a concept of a private cottage, I believe this facility is unmatched by others. Although we couldn't see the starry sky, said to be the best in Japan, due to the cloudy weather, we were able to enjoy a healing space that made up for it. I would like to visit again during the autumn foliage season.

A renovated traditional Japanese house Accommodation located at the top of a mountain road. The old beams and fittings have been preserved or beautifully repurposed, so it doesn’t feel outdated at all. Since the owner built it personally, there are a few small details that may feel slightly unfinished, but the space is very comfortable, with thoughtful touches in the furniture and decor throughout. I asked to change the schedule at short notice, and they kindly accommodated my request, which I truly appreciated. For the barbecue, they also showed us—together with our child—how to prepare the firewood and charcoal, which made our child very happy. It became a wonderful summer memory for us.

The staff were exceptionally kind, and everything was perfect. The Room was clean and spacious, the pool was stylish and almost like having it all to ourselves. Having a washing machine was very convenient, and being able to walk to the beach, come back for a shower, and head straight to the pool was fantastic. It was truly helpful for families with small children. We will definitely stay here again next time!

We had a wonderful celebration. The staff were very kind, and the food was excellent, leaving us very satisfied. We chose glamping with a dog run, and it was a great decision as our dog could move around freely without stress. We are truly grateful to the staff—thank you so much!

In early March, our family of three stayed at KODACHI while there was still snow. The open setting featured an irori dining area, a wood-fired sauna, a large outdoor hot bath and cold plunge, a bedroom trailer, a sanitary room, and a deck with a fire pit. We checked in at 3:00 pm and headed straight to the outdoor bath in the provided swimsuits—our 5-year-old daughter was thrilled. Dinner was served around the irori: seafood hot pot and salmon-and-lily-bulb takikomi rice cooked over firewood. Our child even asked for seconds of the rice, and we were all very satisfied. They also set up a projector during dinner so our daughter stayed entertained while we could enjoy our meal at ease. After she fell asleep, we prepared the wood-fired sauna and lit the deck fire ourselves (staff can also assist). Relaxing in the sauna while looking up at the starry sky among the trees was truly an incredible healing experience. On evening walks around the spacious grounds we enjoyed stargazing, and in the morning we went birdwatching with binoculars, searching for long-tailed tits together. After breakfast we took snowshoes to see the river, and before we knew it it was time for checkout at 11:00 am. Next time we’d love to return in summer for two nights. Thank you to all the kind staff for such a special experience.

We stayed here as a couple. There were plenty of Rooms, everything was clean, and the kitchenware was well stocked. When we mentioned we wanted to take a sightseeing boat tour around the waterways, they kindly drove us there, which was a huge help. On top of that, we received a discount on the boat fare through their referral—thank you so much! The only downside was that the bathroom was small and there was no reheating function for the bathwater, so we had to deduct a star.

I stayed on a weekday. The outdoor barbecue while listening to the sound of the stream flowing nearby became a special memory.

We truly had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful Accommodation. Everything—from the space and amenities to each piece of furniture—was of the highest quality, making it feel luxuriously relaxing. One night wasn’t enough; it’s a place we’d love to visit again and again. The owner’s thoughtful attention to detail made our stay especially meaningful. We would definitely like to stay again, and we appreciate your kind support when we do.

I was a bit anxious traveling solo during Golden Week, but I had a very comfortable stay in the spacious Room. I enjoyed both the Fu Chanpuru set dinner and breakfast, and the rice was especially delicious. With the beach and village nearby, my morning walk felt wonderful. There were face masks in the Room, which were gentle on my sunburned skin—I really appreciated the thoughtful touch. I was also glad to be able to borrow a muumuu. I’d love to come again.

The Room was larger than expected, and even a large group could use it comfortably. It rained during our stay, so we didn’t use the BBQ facilities, but there was a roof so it seemed usable even in the rain. There were plenty of seasonings available, so we had no trouble cooking. There is a TV, but it is tunerless and cannot show terrestrial broadcasts. However, Netflix and YouTube are available.

True to its name as a fine sake inn, it offers a wide selection of alcoholic drinks, and the meals paired with them are excellent. A quiet Accommodation recommended for those seeking rest and relaxation.

We stayed here with our 2-year-old child and family for the Kushimoto Fireworks Festival on August 2nd! On this day, accommodations in Kushimoto and Shirahama were all expensive, and we almost gave up on attending the festival this year. But then we found this place and were amazed by its affordability! After reading high reviews on other sites, we decided to book here. We arrived early on the day of our stay, but they kindly allowed us to check in early! The room was cool with the air conditioner already running, spacious, clean, and comfortable! It had a refrigerator, microwave, and kettle in the room so we could heat up our bento meals right after arriving. To our surprise, the fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks like juice and tea—such a thoughtful touch ( ; ; )! After playing at the beach, we took a shower and used their drum washing machine for laundry—drying included—and then took a short nap before heading to the fireworks festival. Even though we returned late that night, they waited for us so that we could take another shower before falling fast asleep in bed. In the morning, they served bread, yogurt, meatballs, bananas, vegetable juice, and coffee for breakfast. We also enjoyed chatting with the owner—it was such fun! Later that day when friends joined us with their family car as well (which they kindly let us park), we went river swimming nearby. The river was beautiful; even locals came there to swim! Before leaving for home after taking group photos together with everyone there—we promised to come back again soon! For families traveling with young children like ours (2 years old), having a spacious Japanese-style room along with amenities like baths & washing machines made everything so convenient! The owner’s kindness truly stood out—we’ll definitely stay here again next time!

We stayed for one night with our dog. The Room was clean and well stocked with dog supplies. The amenities were plentiful, and it was great that we could choose what we needed. It was also our first time being served a welcome drink and snacks upon arrival, which made us very happy. The Accommodation staff were friendly and wonderful. There were also all-you-can-drink soft drinks and alcohol, plus treats for our dog. Meals are buffet-style all you can eat; it was a bit disappointing that the selection was somewhat limited, but everything was delicious. The breakfast sandwiches were especially tasty, with plenty of vegetables. We would love to stay again if we have the chance. Highly recommended Accommodation.

We arrived early at the Accommodation in rainy weather. When I asked if we could leave our luggage, they said, “Your Room is already ready,” and let us in right away. When I made the Reservation, I wrote a question and even received a call in reply. On the day as well, they told us recommended spots around Yubara Onsen and how to get there, which made our trip even more enjoyable. It was raining, so we couldn’t fully relax in the rooftop open-air bath, which was a shame—but the water was wonderfully soothing. The building is old, but the toilet and wash area have been renovated. Everything was very clean and comfortable to use. The entrance was also lovely, filled with flowers. The meals were more plentiful than expected and delicious.

I am so satisfied to be able to stay at such a wonderful villa with my dog! The facility, location, and comfort were all excellent! Although I struggled with the check-in process due to my lack of experience, the staff reached out at just the right time and were incredibly helpful. Their kind and attentive support made me feel very reassured. When I return home with my rescue dog from Kochi Godaisan, I will definitely stay here again. I have one request: there is a gap in the fence along the Niyodo River where dogs can get through, so it would be great if this could be improved. I am really looking forward to staying here again! Thank you for allowing me to spend such a wonderful time. I truly appreciate it!
