I was absolutely satisfied with the meals. Everything was made with fresh ingredients, and I was impressed by the care taken in both the cooking and presentation. The warm, attentive hospitality also made my stay truly relaxing. I would love to stay again if I have the opportunity.

We stayed for one night and had a wonderful time. The building is old, but it feels clean and well maintained. Dinner was the Pine course, featuring grilled dancing abalone and snow crab. Each dish was carefully prepared—delicious and beautifully presented with vibrant colors. The portions were more than enough, but we enjoyed everything. The baths are small individually, but we were able to enjoy four unique types of baths and spend a relaxing time together as a couple.

The Ryokan is old but very clean, and the Room has been renovated and is beautifully maintained. The futon is made up of multiple stacked mattresses, giving it a nice height and exceptional comfort. The black hot spring bath fits up to three people; it isn’t large, but the water is pleasantly lukewarm so we could soak and relax. Above all, the meal portions were outstanding—yuba (tofu skin), thick rolled omelet, salt-grilled ayu with roe, freshly fried tempura, a meat hot pot, rice, and much more—everything was plentiful and very satisfying. Everyone was very kind, and I would love to stay here again when visiting Yoro Valley.

On my usual route through East Izu, this was the first time I stayed at this Accommodation. Located below the Usami Castle ruins, it was bright and very welcoming. There were many meal options to choose from, and the spiny lobster sashimi and simmered splendid alfonsino were exceptionally fresh—unique to Izu—and truly delicious. The Onsen and open-air bath were also spacious and wonderful! This is an Accommodation I’d like to visit every year.

The Room was clean and spacious, and the staff welcomed us with warm smiles, making our stay very comfortable. The delicious meals—and above all, the soothing presence of the resident dogs—helped melt away all our daily fatigue. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

Thank you as always for your hospitality. I love the quality of the hot springs, and both the sulfur spring and the bicarbonate spring are wonderfully relaxing—I always look forward to them. The food is also delicious, and I truly appreciate how efficient and attentive the staff are. I’d like to visit again when squid season comes around. Thank you very much for this stay.

We stayed for one night with the No Meals Included plan. My daughter wore a cute yukata that was available to borrow for free, and she was thrilled as we strolled around the Kinosaki Onsen town. After check-in, it’s best to choose your yukata right away! Quantities are limited, so the cute obi and cords may run out. The bath was spacious and relaxing, so we were very satisfied. If we have a chance to visit the area again, we would love to stay here once more.

When we ordered extra squid, the Yobuko squid was truly delicious.

The dinner was truly luxurious, just as mentioned in the reviews, and the portions were incredibly large! I felt sorry for not being able to finish it all... It would be nice to have bath towels included in the amenities! There were four friendly and adorable cats outside (*^^*).

This Accommodation is well known for its excellent cuisine. The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted outstanding. While primarily Japanese, they also incorporated Western elements, offering new flavors and textures that made every course memorable. The Onsen was neither too hot nor too cold—just the right temperature—and the water quality also felt very good. I was extremely satisfied with both the meals and the Onsen. The staff were polite and kind. If I had to mention areas for improvement, although it can’t be helped that the Facility is old overall, there was no air conditioning in the corridors, so I started sweating on the way back to my Room after bathing. Also, there was only one face towel in the Room, so I ended up drying and reusing the towel I took to the bath. I was also concerned that an emergency light in a corridor seemed close to burning out. Despite many wonderful points, a few things were disappointing.

Dinner was carefully prepared down to each dish. Breakfast was also delicious, just like a classic Ryokan breakfast. The bath was spacious, and I could relax and take my time. This is an Accommodation I’m very satisfied with and would recommend.

The sashimi was delicious. We chose the standard option, and it was very filling. Everything was explained clearly and politely.

I had the privilege of spending New Year's for the first time at Kinjohro, one of Kanazawa's most renowned ryokan. With my mother being from Kanazawa and having spent six years studying in this city myself, it had always been a dream to welcome the New Year at Kinjohro. However, I hesitated for a long time, feeling that such a prestigious and traditional ryokan might be beyond my reach. This year, I finally had the opportunity to visit Kanazawa with my son and fulfill this long-held dream. The elegant architecture, refined furnishings harmonizing sophistication and grace, exquisite Kutani ware and Kaga Yuzen kimonos—everything exuded timeless beauty. The traditional Kaga cuisine featuring local specialties like yellowtail fish, crab, duck dishes such as kamo-jibu stew prepared with care using authentic ingredients—and even the osechi New Year’s feast—were simply exceptional. The room and bath filled with the soothing scent of cypress wood added to an unforgettable experience. Above all else was the heartfelt hospitality provided by staff who embody over 130 years of tradition in this historic city of Kanazawa. It felt as though we were transported back in time to experience the grandeur of Kaga Hyakumangoku culture. On New Year's morning after enjoying osechi cuisine, we joined other guests along with the owner, proprietress (okami), head chef, staff members and their families for a mochi-pounding event at the entrance. The friendly atmosphere shared among everyone under glimpses of blue sky through clouds made it truly special—the taste of kinako-coated mochi will remain etched in our memories alongside our stay at Kinjohro. Thank you so much to everyone at Kinjohro! I look forward to experiencing more seasonal delights from Kanazawa’s rich culture through future visits here.

The moment we opened the front door, the view that greeted us felt like a scene from abroad. The location was even better than the website, and we were truly impressed. On the way back, the Aqua-Line was closed due to an accident, so we took the Tokyo Bay Ferry from Kanaya to Kurihama instead. The ferry was comfortable too, and it made us feel as if we’d gone on an overseas trip with our dog. The toothbrush came with toothpaste already on it, so next time we’ll bring our own toothpaste. Since the bath doesn’t have a reheating function, you need to get in soon after filling it.

Robata grilling is the best!!

The entire Accommodation was very clean and well maintained. The bath is small, but you can tell it is thoroughly cleaned. There is no toilet or bath in the Room, but it was so comfortable that I didn’t mind at all. I only had breakfast, but it was delicious and very filling. I regret not having dinner there as well. I almost felt bad for the hospitality—it was more than worth the price (lol). I’ve only been staying at Business Hotels lately, so an Accommodation like Sanyo felt especially warm and welcoming. I think I was able to refresh both body and mind. It’s my favorite Accommodation I’ve stayed at so far. I don’t often have a chance to visit Sanriku, but I’d love to come again.

I was disappointed that the Onsen had a limited water supply and only a small bath, while the larger baths were heated tap water. Also, there were not many power outlets in the Room; I borrowed an extension cord, but it was disappointing that there were no outlets near the bed.

The meals were excellent. The hot water was even better. Your hospitality was outstanding. Thank you very much.

This was our second visit to this glamping site. Being able to enjoy glamping with no preparation and light luggage is a huge plus for those without camping experience, and the Facility felt clean overall, making it comfortable and reassuring for everyone from children to adults. Each Room dome has its own concept; the color schemes were beautiful and the amenities were well equipped. There were a mini fridge, electric kettle, instant coffee/tea/green tea, air conditioning/heating, plug-in insect repellent, a Bluetooth speaker, outlets with USB ports, blankets, a hanging rack, an external toilet & shower room (strong water pressure, adjustable temperature settings, and a washlet toilet), as well as a BBQ space. We chose the Plan with dinner and breakfast included. Everything was extremely delicious—and there was more than enough food. At night (depending on the weather) there was also a campfire option, which really added to the camping atmosphere. For future improvements, I’d love to see more activity options such as bamboo dragonfly toys or cup-making using bamboo; an athletic play area; seasonal events like fireworks or water-gun games; snowball fights or roasted sweet potatoes; or hands-on experiences like working in nearby rice fields or vegetable gardens. There is also a simple lookout platform in the bamboo grove that I don’t think was there last year. If the weather and timing are right, you can apparently see the ocean, townscape, and sunset from there. Outdoor voices tend to carry slightly into the domes, so I felt guests may need to be mindful of each other at night. The free-drink area was relatively close by and convenient to use. The beach is nearby as well—an ideal place if you simply want to relax. They also offered free rentals such as badminton sets and board/card games. We would love to come again.
