I found a Plan that does not use wheat flour, vegetable oils, dairy products, or sugar, and stayed here looking forward to these meals. An Accommodation offering a “Four Toxins-Free Plan” is still rare across the whole country, so it felt like I had finally found one. There were many dishes, all of them truly delicious, and I left completely full. I was very satisfied. It may have been the best food I’ve had at any Ryokan I’ve stayed at so far. Niigata Prefecture is far from my home and not somewhere I often get the chance to visit, but that made the sightseeing feel fresh as well, and I had a wonderful time.

Thank you for your hospitality. We were completely satisfied with the staff's attentiveness, the scenery, and the meals. It was a trip with my elderly mother, and she was very pleased as well. We promised to stay here again when we travel to this area in the future. I don't know how many more years we can travel together, but I truly appreciate your help in making my mother happy. Shuttle Service, two meals, a towel, and one drink were included for around 10,000 yen. It was very reasonable, close to the sea, and the view from the Room was fantastic. There are also sightseeing spots like the Anmo Observatory, which made the experience excellent. I would love to visit again.

We stayed at this accommodation because my wife and I love baths, and we were excited to stay at a place with a unique bath and ocean view! The room with an ocean view was stylishly decorated in a tropical style. It was impeccably clean, giving off a very fresh feeling. The view of the ocean from the room was stunning—an unbeatable location! The cypress-scented bathtub with high-quality hot spring water left both my wife and me completely satisfied. On that chilly day, it warmed us up perfectly. We chose the dinner-included plan, which featured sashimi served on a boat platter, domestic beef steak, and beef stew—all of which were delicious. The beef stew was exceptional! I was especially impressed by the texture of the sauce and the tenderness of the meat—it rivaled or even surpassed my favorite Imperial Hotel's beef stew! The breakfast, including freshly baked bread and scrambled eggs, was also delightful. The friendly owner made our stay comfortable and worry-free. This is definitely an accommodation we would love to visit again!

From the hostess’s warm welcome to the stunning third-floor Room and terrace with exceptional views. The Room has windows on three sides. Open the door and you’re greeted by a view of Cape Shionomisaki. A terrace where you can enjoy both sunset and sunrise. Every dish was delicious—we ordered two servings each of the meat course and the fish course, and ended up overeating. I was a bit surprised that access to the Room was via an outdoor staircase I hadn’t expected, but once you come down the stairs, Cape Shionomisaki is right in front of you. If it had been raining, getting around might have been tough, but luckily the rain from the previous day had cleared, temperatures rose, and my mood soared too. The bath is not an Onsen, but while it shows its age, it was clean and felt well maintained. Another thing I loved was the “duvet cover.” It felt so nice that I want to find one for home—I wish I’d asked what brand it was. The Room itself was so comfortable, and it was great to just zone out while gently swaying in the hammock.

This year, we opted for a Multiple Night Stay again. Our dog had so much fun in the spacious dog run that it didn’t want to leave. Although the weather wasn’t great, we enjoyed playing badminton and table tennis in the multipurpose hall, which made the kids very happy. During breaks in the rain, we of course used the pool. The buffet offered a different menu each day, so even with a Multiple Night Stay, it never got boring. Everything was delicious, but the bread and desserts were truly exceptional. The pet hotel was spacious and nice; however, there was some competition for beds in the upper room while downstairs... not as much excitement there. The bathroom and toilet were spacious too, but having all water facilities only on the second floor was slightly inconvenient. It would be great if they could upgrade their hairdryers as well. On a positive note, I appreciated that they used tissue-style toilet paper instead of roll-type ones—if only hotels and ryokans across The Whole Country adopted this! In summer when you sweat a lot, having access to coin laundry is very convenient. We’ll definitely come back again next year!

As one of the most established Hotels in Tamatsukuri Onsen, it was sure to be a solid choice, and I was especially pleased with the excellent breakfast buffet. There was a great selection of seafood, and I also enjoyed the shijimi clam miso soup; if you prefer, you can also choose Western-style options, salads, and cornflakes. The view overlooks Lake Shinji, though the bridge structure of the San’in Expressway is hard to ignore.

As soon as we stepped inside, we were amazed by the gorgeous interior and how much closer the ocean was than we had imagined. The ocean view was truly breathtaking—an experience you don’t often get. The welcome drinks at check-in came in many varieties, which made it feel special and was perfect hospitality on a hot day. Both dinner and breakfast were prepared at the time we requested, so we could relax. For dinner, the BBQ included local meats, seafood, vegetables, and more, with explanations provided for each item. It was our first time using this type of grill, but the staff kindly showed us how to use it, so even beginners could grill everything deliciously with confidence. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and we were very satisfied with dinner. We usually have to prepare everything ourselves for a BBQ (including cleanup), so it was great that the Hotel took care of everything. After dinner, we enjoyed coffee while watching the sunset. Three types of coffee beans and an electric grinder were provided, along with instructions on how to use the grinder and recommended grind sizes—so we could enjoy freshly brewed coffee and spend a truly special time. There was a jacuzzi on the terrace bath area, and our kids were thrilled since it was their first time. The amenities for children included cute dolphin toothbrushes and sponges, which they loved. For adults, there were ReFa shower heads as well as a hair dryer, hair iron/curling iron tools? , hair oil? etc., leaving our hair smoother than usual—we were delighted. The croissants and roast beef at breakfast were also delicious. We would definitely like to stay again.

Stayed for 3 nights with my daughter, No Meals Included. The Room was very clean and quiet, but it was too compact, making it a bit challenging to open even a small suitcase (if both of us opened our suitcases at the same time, the floor space was completely occupied). It was convenient that we could store suitcases under the bed when not in use. The chair had wheels and could be moved easily, but due to the narrow space in the Room, moving it around was still difficult. A bit more space would have been ideal. The shower curtain in the bathroom was too short and barely reached the edge of the bathtub; water splashed outside when using the shower. A longer curtain would be better. As for the refrigerator, a salad I stored overnight froze by morning due to its strong cooling power—next time I'll pay more attention to placement and temperature settings. I used the laundry facilities; they were convenient as various payment methods were accepted besides coins. However, there were only two washing machines available, so including drying time meant waiting quite long. Adding one or two more machines would improve this. At checkout time, I realized I might not make it by 10 AM due to packing delays. When I requested an extension, staff kindly informed me that becoming a member allows free extensions until 11 AM and promptly assisted me with this option—I truly appreciated their support. I will definitely consider choosing your Hotel again for future stays!

I was able to make a Reservation the night before. In Uwajima, during the festival when it was difficult to find any available Reservations, I was lucky to secure one. Additionally, I was guided to a covered parking space, which I greatly appreciated. The receptionist's polite and kind service made me very happy. Thank you so much. The breakfast was also delicious. If I have another chance, I would love to stay again. It was excellent and highly recommended!

This was my first stay. Both breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of side dishes and generous portions, which was great. The meat in particular was delicious. From the Room, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan. The bath is not an Onsen, but it is spacious, and morning bathing is also available. It was disappointing that the Accommodation did not have a refrigerator and only provided 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner.

It was my first visit to Shinwa-no-Yu in almost 10 years, and I was able to relax very comfortably (in the Hakodate dialect). The Accommodation was clean, and I was satisfied. I look forward to staying with you again.

Enjoy the stunning ocean view right in front of you and wash away all your daily stress. I indulged in my favorite Takezaki crab and fully enjoyed Tara! (laughs) The morning coffee was also delightful. Thank you very much. It would have been even better if the amenities were more comprehensive. I wished there were a few more towels available.

It was very convenient, just a short walk from Dogo Onsen. The building feels a bit old, but the staff’s wonderful hospitality more than made up for it. We really appreciated it! We also used the large public bath in the morning, but the air conditioning wasn’t on... I’m not sure if that was intentional or simply forgotten... It was a hot day, so that was the only thing that concerned us. We were able to cool down properly once we returned to our room, but we would have liked to cool off right after the bath.

I was moved by the sunset from the dining area on the 7th floor. The sashimi boat platter in the Plan was very fresh and delicious. The small pork hot pot was also excellent, and I really enjoyed it with beer and sake. The bath facilities are a bit old, but the water was great—my skin felt smooth, and I could relax and warm up thoroughly. From the hallway, I could see Mt. Chokai, and it looked as if the morning sun rose from its summit, which gave me energy.\nMt. Chokai, the sea, and Yuurari—I'd love to visit again.

I was very satisfied because I prefer free-flowing Onsen straight from the source (I don’t like recirculated baths). For those who like natural hot spring water, the open-air bath seems especially highly rated. It’s also great that families can bathe together. All of the meals were delicious—nothing felt like an afterthought. I love places with a Showa-era atmosphere, so I’d like to visit again someday.

We stayed for two nights as a base for sightseeing in Sapporo and Otaru during our Hokkaido trip. The location is excellent—almost directly connected to Tanukikoji Shopping Street and close to Odori Park and Susukino. Breakfast was outstanding, with Hokkaido specialties like seafood bowls and salmon roe, plus delicious bread. The unit bath is standard and the Room key isn’t a card key, so some parts of the Facility feel a bit dated, but everything is well maintained and very clean.

Stayed with my two daughters. The Room was cooled with an air conditioner and a fan. The bath water (Onsen?) was also very pleasant. I’ll stay here again when I visit Shirahama.

The other day, I had my annual “crab day” at Genmyoan again. This time they prepared Taiza crab for me, and I was able to enjoy it. It was three hours of satisfaction—satisfied, satisfied, truly satisfied. They do not serve hot pot dishes like “crab suki” here, and I agree that turning such great crab into a hot pot would be a waste. That is exactly why I keep choosing Genmyoan. They said it snowed quite a bit this year, but on my visit there was only a little snow left along the roadside. Genmyoan sits halfway up the mountain, and I believe it may be the only place with this kind of view looking down over Amanohashidate. The location is outstanding. As shown in the photos, being able to enjoy scenery that changes with time from your Room is very appealing. On the other hand, when it snows heavily, driving up the mountain road can be difficult. When I asked the proprietress this time, she told me that during severe snow they will come to pick guests up at Amanohashidate Station with rubber boots in the car. Being able to change into them at the station would be reassuring. (They provide Shuttle Service to the Accommodation regardless of snow.) Also, once you are past 70—even if it’s a once-a-year indulgent crab day—you may worry about not being able to finish everything. It seems they can adjust portions if you request in advance. If they can reduce the amount without compromising quality, you can keep enjoying it at any age. Because this relates to IKYU’s website meal listings and pricing, I do wonder how flexible such arrangements can be—but I would appreciate continued consideration for guests’ convenience. Lastly, their breakfast is also delicious: even when you feel you ate too much crab dinner-wise, you still end up overeating at breakfast. The Onsen has been refurbished and is clean. There is a tasting corner for chilled sake (you can sample and choose before dinner), and there is now a coffee room as well. There is also a room lined with CDs/DVDs/books from the owner’s personal collection; you can bring them back to your Room and enjoy them there. It feels like an Accommodation where each guest can find their own way to relax and have fun.

We stayed here as a family. It was our first time staying on a remote island, but the owner welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived, so we were able to start our stay with peace of mind. The seafood shabu-shabu we had for dinner was truly outstanding, and we were impressed by how fresh everything was. It felt like an island-only luxury. They also kindly recommended places to buy groceries and some cafés, which made our stay even more fulfilling. Rather than simply staying overnight, we were able to truly enjoy our time on the island and in Ushimado. This trip meant a lot to our family, and we’re grateful to have made such wonderful memories. We’d love to visit again in a different season.
