We stayed for one night during the Obon holiday period. The front desk staff warmly welcomed us. The Room felt very new and was impeccably clean, so we had a very comfortable stay. It was great to have both yukata and pajamas available. They also quickly exchanged the yukata size for us, which was very helpful. We headed to the bath right away. The large public bath was very clean, and we loved that the shower kept running without having to press the button repeatedly! Bathing while looking at the castle was wonderful. The hair dryers in the changing area were ReFa. The muscat vinegar drink in the post-bath lounge was so delicious that even our children—who usually find fruit vinegar drinks too sour—went back for seconds. Since our Room included lounge access, we used the massage chair there, enjoyed some drinks, and felt refreshed. Also, the bed in our Room was incredibly comfortable—I may have slept better than I ever have while traveling. I think it’s a great fit for those who like pillows that are fluffy, soft, and low-profile. The next morning we had breakfast at Mimasaka Kitchen. We already knew it had a good reputation, but it exceeded our expectations—the lightly seasoned side dishes and wide variety of desserts that weren’t overly sweet were more than satisfying. Even better were the onigiri made by one of the staff members—perfectly light and fluffy—and our whole family couldn’t stop praising them. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with this Accommodation. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us during our stay.

I visited by car with my husband and son on our first family trip in a while. We were delighted by the elegant lobby and lounge, beautifully decorated with flowers and furnishings, and by the stunning view of the cove from the windows. The cave-style bath we had been looking forward to, as well as the panoramic bath, were wonderfully relaxing, with silky-smooth water as we enjoyed the scenery. For dinner, we had an exquisite kaiseki course in a private dining room. We chose sashimi made from locally caught fish of the day, and every dish was outstanding—beautifully presented with impressive table settings. We also enjoyed freshly grilled fugu prepared right in front of us, along with a sake tasting. After dinner, we played darts, enjoyed wine at the bar, and went back to the baths—making the most of our stay. Our Room also had a fantastic view, and we were able to truly unwind. This is an unforgettable Accommodation that I would love to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay. Although the building is a bit old, it was clean and comfortable. The large public bath was not crowded, and it was kept very clean with frequent cleaning. It was also great to have a ReFa shower head installed. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the grilled beef at dinner was surprisingly delicious.

We stayed here to celebrate my mother-in-law’s 77th birthday. All the staff were incredibly kind, and the Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Above all, the breakfast was delicious, and our whole family had a wonderful time. We’re truly glad we chose this place. Thank you for such a lovely memory!

This was a truly welcoming and pleasant Hotel. As I was traveling solo, I was shown to a quiet seat with a great view for dinner, and I was able to relax and enjoy the meal. They were considerate about ingredients I don’t like, and everything was delicious. The only regret was that the portions were a bit large for me, and I was almost full before the main course. Breakfast was exciting, and everything was delicious—absolutely wonderful! My Room was close to the guest lounge, so I enjoyed not only staying in my Room but also spending time in the stylish guest lounge. The sauna, jacuzzi, and bedroom were all very relaxing—I had a great stay!

How many times has it been now—another indulgent stay at Kasumi Onsen. Because my wife has a shellfish allergy, we avoid the Matsuba crab season, but during the spring and autumn Kasumi crab seasons we make a special request to have her crab portion replaced with nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch)—we’re truly demanding guests. I enjoy the crab, while my wife is served an unbelievably large nodoguro, perfectly grilled with salt (and I get to taste a bit of it too). Even though we’re asking for two different meals for two people, the staff not only welcome us with warm smiles, but also stop by for a chat when they have time and tell us about caring for their rice fields and plum trees. In short, while we’re here they let us do whatever we like freely—and whenever we need help, they come right away. As long as this hospitality continues, a stay at ICHIJO is guaranteed to be delicious, fun, and delightful. Top-quality ingredients, wonderful料理料理?

Choosing the lounge breakfast Plan was absolutely the right decision. It had been a while since my last stay, and the lounge was so much fun that I ended up falling asleep—even though I really wanted to try the late-night soba for the first time. There were many solo guests, which made it very comfortable. At breakfast, I was disappointed that the all-you-can-add salmon roe had changed to salmon-and-roe, but the small side dishes were delicious and healthy. The dessert fruit—Shine Muscat grapes and generously cut pear—was sweet and wonderful. If I have another chance, I’d like to come back and finally try the late-night soba. The Onsen was kept clean, and I enjoyed it both morning and evening. The pork miso soup at breakfast was truly delicious. Thank you very much.

We stayed here to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday. We came for the Onsen, but the meals were also delicious, and we enjoyed a quiet, relaxing stay. Thank you very much.

Thanks to the attentive care and service of all the staff, we were able to enjoy a truly comfortable stay from start to finish. Every dish was delicious, and the shabu-shabu served with the house special dashi was exceptional—perfect with both meat and fish. The freshly cooked rice prepared on the spot was also wonderful, and we were very satisfied. We chose a Room with an open-air bath, so we could enjoy the Onsen anytime without worrying about the time. The layout was also very practical, with separate spaces for the indoor bath and the vanity/changing area, making it convenient for us as a couple to use smoothly without getting in each other’s way. The building interior and Facility have been beautifully renovated; everything was kept clean throughout, and we never heard noise from other Rooms, so we could relax comfortably without any inconvenience. If I had to mention anything, there were a few lockers in the changing room by the 3rd-floor open-air bath where the locks wouldn’t fasten properly, and it would be even better if the hair dryers were a bit more powerful. Other than that, there was nothing else that concerned us—it was a wonderful stay overall. If we have another chance to visit Toyama, we would definitely like to return. Thank you very much.

From arrival to departure, the staff treated us with great care, and we had a very pleasant stay. The service was impeccable. The Room retains the charm of a traditional Japanese house while offering a calm, spacious layout for relaxing. In addition to the deck, there is also an area with a sofa where you can sit and take in the outdoor scenery at your leisure, which made it easy to unwind. Unfortunately, it rained quite heavily during our stay, so we couldn’t enjoy the deck as much as we had hoped. The Onsen was also wonderful—you can soak in free-flowing natural hot spring water whenever you like. The bathtub was spacious enough to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. There is a separate shower room in front of the bathing area as well, which made it convenient to wash before getting into the tub. What left the strongest impression on us in particular was the cuisine. Fresh seafood was used generously, and every dish was absolutely delicious. Although we weren’t blessed with good weather this time and couldn’t see the sunset we had been looking forward to, we still thoroughly enjoyed simply spending time at this Accommodation. Being able to relax so comfortably even on a rainy day may be something unique to Ujo Soan. We were highly satisfied with everything—service, Room, Onsen, and meals—and it’s an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

This was our first time staying here, and we were very well taken care of. From the warm welcome upon arrival, we were served tea and delicious sweets before being shown to our Room. The guest Room had a clean, modern Japanese style, and we were truly impressed by the wonderful view of the sea from anywhere in the Room—even from the bath. In addition, the Onsen bath had silky, slightly thick water that felt great and left our skin smooth; we enjoyed it many times and were completely satisfied. Both dinner and breakfast were more than enough in quantity, and every dish was delicious. We initially thought the dining area seating might be close together, but it wasn’t at all; we enjoyed chatting while listening to explanations about the dishes from the proprietress and staff. We had been looking for an Accommodation where we could simply relax, enjoy great food, and soak in good hot water—and this was a wonderful Accommodation where we could truly take our time. We’re happy to have found an Accommodation that makes us think, “We definitely want to come again in a different season.”

The modern Japanese-Western style room was very comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail for small children, such as pushing the beds together and limiting the height of the cushions. The meals were excellent, and the dessert pudding was especially delicious—I wanted to buy some to take home as a souvenir. Kinosaki in the rain also had a charming atmosphere, and we were very satisfied.

I stayed here on a solo trip. Everyone at the Accommodation was incredibly kind and helpful! The meals at the Accommodation were beautifully presented and delicious—I was very satisfied. I was surprised that the drinks in the Room were free! I enjoyed having alcohol on the terrace to cool off in the evening, and drinking oolong tea after a bath, haha. In the morning, I made drip coffee using hot water from the water dispenser and spent my time feeling refreshed. The Room was also very clean, and the in-room bath was an Onsen. There wasn’t any mold at all in the bathroom. The grout was spotless, the faucets were shiny, and even the drain was clean. The large public bath was great too—the design is lovely. This time my goal for the next day was visiting shrines, so I went to Ishigami-san, Hikodaki Daimyojin, and Isawa Shrine. They kindly explained nearby roads and how to get around, which helped a lot. What’s more, even after I had checked out, they actually ran after me just to give me a taxi company phone number. Thanks to that, I could take a taxi when traveling from Hikodaki Daimyojin to Isawa Shrine and arrived an hour earlier! They also recommended a very kind taxi company, so the driver told me what preparations I needed for visiting Isawa Shrine as well—and I made it up safely! It turned into such a wonderful trip! I’d definitely love to stay again!

I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days starting on 8/19. The number of guests changed every day, so we had to move Rooms. Each time, you carried our luggage to the next Room and arranged for us to check in earlier than the scheduled time, which was very helpful. The MUJI room for four people was truly wonderful. The three-person Room was also spacious and had a sofa, so we could relax comfortably. Thank you very much for all your help. It was a very enjoyable Hotel stay. I would like to stay again. We were very satisfied to have stayed at such a wonderful Hotel. The meals and the services for children were excellent as well. Regarding the title: we used the coin laundry, and while we were rushing around because our children are still small, we realized that we had accidentally put a smartphone into the washing machine. When I panicked and called the extension, a staff member responded kindly and carefully, for which we are truly grateful. I wanted to confirm their name and thank them at check-out, but I forgot to ask. So I am writing it here instead. This is a Hotel we would like to stay at again next year. Thank you very much.

My wife and I are truly grateful. From check-in to check-out, we received impeccable hospitality in every way. Starting with the attendant whose wonderful smile looked after us, every member of staff was exactly as described in the Reviews—flawless in their manners and attentive to even the smallest details. The beautifully renewed design blending Japanese and Western styles was delightful, and everything throughout the Facility was thoroughly cleaned and well maintained, creating an exceptional sense of freshness and comfort. As lovers of traditional Ryokan stays, both my wife and I were completely satisfied. We were also impressed by the wide selection of stylish women’s yukata—and it felt almost too wonderful to receive a cute drawstring pouch filled with amenities as well. When we mentioned in advance that we were visiting for our anniversary, thoughtful touches awaited us at dinner: a framed red-and-white crane mizuhiki decoration, chopstick rests marked with celebratory characters, sekihan served in an adorable bowl with “good fortune” written on it—and even a commemorative gift of a ceramic tumbler set. The dinner course itself was outstanding: exquisite ingredients beautifully presented on elegant tableware, with staging that delighted all five senses. We could truly feel the aesthetic sense and craftsmanship of everyone in the kitchen team throughout. Of course, there was nothing to fault—the taste, portions, hot/cold balance, and perfectly timed serving and clearing were all impeccable. We have stayed at many luxury Ryokan and heritage Hotels every year for our anniversary, but there is no doubt that Kamon has become an unforgettable Accommodation for us. Even on our way home we couldn’t stop talking about your hospitality together. We would love to return again—thank you very much in advance when we do. The meals are such high quality you’d never guess they’re buffet-style. The menu changes with the seasons, so it never gets boring, and everything is consistently delicious every time we visit! The Rooms may seem similar at first, but the layouts and interiors vary, which makes it fun and interesting. The Surprise Plan is the best—guaranteed to become an unforgettable memory! It’s wonderful to receive, and just as fun to plan for someone else. A space where everyone is sure to feel happy! We’re truly grateful to all the staff who create this extraordinary and wonderful atmosphere.

After descending from the mountains on the second night of my two-night stay in Shima Onsen—somewhere I had long wanted to visit—I stayed at this Accommodation. It is located in a quiet area, and the beautiful views of the Shima River from both the Room and the baths, along with the excellent spring quality and comfortable temperatures, made me very satisfied. The three large public baths were each enjoyable. The proprietress’s picture-story show and talk, which she has continued for 33 years, were skillful, fun, soothing, and highly recommended. The staff were also polite and very pleasant, providing attentive hospitality throughout. This is one Accommodation I would like to stay at again.
