With the detached Rooms lined up, it was very quiet, and I could enjoy the hot spring source in my Room—truly living up to its reputation. The Facilities and amenities were still new and had a Hotel-like feel, making them comfortable to use. If I have another chance to stay at a reasonable price, I’d love to return.

We stayed here on a trip with a family we know, and it was wonderful as always. We’ve stayed several times, so both my wife and I can relax with peace of mind—this is our favorite hot spring Accommodation. The family staying with us was also very satisfied, making it the perfect vacation. Since one of our group had difficulty walking, we truly appreciate you accommodating our various requests. We’d love to stay again. Thank you always.

Traveling with our dog, everything—price, service, cleanliness, etc.—was excellent. [Things that would make it even better] - It would be helpful to have plastic bags in the bathroom for wet clothes. - At breakfast, some dishes didn’t have labels, so we couldn’t tell what they were; it would be nice if all items were labeled. - A lid for the pet crate would make it easier to leave our dog alone with peace of mind. - It would be great to have a safety measure on the balcony fence to prevent dogs from falling, just in case they slip out by accident. - Better pruning of the trees around the open-air bath would make it even nicer. - It would be nice to have one lane in the pool for guests who want to swim laps. I ended up writing a lot, but we will definitely be back. Thank you very much.

I was finally able to stay at Akazawa Guest House, a place I had long wanted to visit, this time together with my son and his wife. The Accommodation is beautiful from the outside, but once you step inside, you’re amazed to see platinum used throughout the walls and other details. It’s a stunning space with meticulous attention paid to every element. The pampas grass in the courtyard was especially memorable, and we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful time away from everyday life while feeling the charm of the season. Everything—the Room, the meals, and the atmosphere throughout the property—was wonderful, of course. But what stayed with me most was the warm hospitality of all the staff. My daughter-in-law is pregnant, and they kindly accommodated our requests in advance with great care. They prepared extra pillows in our Room and thoughtfully adjusted aspects of our meals as well, which we truly appreciated. In particular, the staff member who served our meals had such a lovely smile. Their service was both attentive and genuinely warm, which made us feel very at ease. The staff member who took photos for us also went beyond what we asked for and discreetly looked out for us so we could enjoy ourselves—an act of consideration that made us very happy. It’s certainly an exceptional space filled with luxury, but even more than that, I felt that the thoughtful and heartfelt hospitality of everyone working there makes this Accommodation even more special. I’m truly glad we were able to spend such precious family time at Akazawa Guest House. On our way home, my son and his wife said together, “Let’s come back again.” Thank you very much for giving us such a wonderful time that will stay in our hearts. We would love to visit again.

I was surprised to find someone waiting to welcome us at the entrance when we arrived by car. We were greeted by the scent of lilies, and while waiting our turn for check-in, my husband quickly started enjoying a beer. Our Room was on the 3rd floor and felt more spacious than expected. The tatami flooring made it very comfortable. The view from the window was wonderful, and we kept it open for a while just to enjoy it. The amenities were well stocked, and we didn’t feel any inconvenience. One thing I noticed was that there was quite a large step up into the in-room toilet, which made me a little worried about tripping if I got up during the night. What stood out most was the wide variety of dishes at dinner. The boat platter we reserved was extremely fresh, and the sushi prepared right in front of us was delicious as well. I love grilled seafood, and I went back for it twice. The steak was also excellent. We couldn’t possibly try everything—of course there wasn’t any room left for late-night ramen, so I’d like to have that next time (laugh). We made our Reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and they surprised us by bringing dessert and taking photos for us—it became a truly happy memory. Breakfast was also buffet-style. In the morning, I made my own seafood rice bowl and enjoyed it very much. The freshly cooked French toast was delicious too. There were so many dishes that we couldn’t finish them all—it was a one-night stay filled with food that delighted both our eyes and taste buds. Lastly, thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the staff who always greeted us with smiles—we had a very pleasant stay at your Accommodation. We will visit again.

The Hotel is located right in front of Miyajima Port, making access excellent and extremely convenient. Even before check-in and after check-out, we could use the lounge and enjoy ice cream, coffee, and other drinks. Depending on the time of day, there was also a momiji manju service, plus vouchers to redeem momiji manju at shops on Miyajima (including fried momiji), and candy ice cream after the bath—everything was thoughtfully provided. The facilities were very clean, and the buffet featured carefully prepared dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. With an all-inclusive plan that included alcohol as well, we were very satisfied overall. The lemon herb tea in the restaurant was especially delicious; we highly appreciated that it used Hiroshima lemons and herbs, to the point that we wanted to buy it. We think it would be great if it were sold in the Hotel’s souvenir corner or similar shop.

I visited with my wife. Even in the rain, the staff waited for our arrival and came out to greet us with an umbrella. We were truly impressed by their thoughtful and warm hospitality. The meals were excellent, featuring Japanese cuisine made with plenty of fresh seafood from Chiba, as well as generous portions of meat and vegetables. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious—I ended up eating more than I intended. The semi-open-air Onsen bath attached to our Room was also wonderful, and we were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen at our own pace without worrying about others. The food, Onsen, and service were all outstanding, allowing us to spend a peaceful time together as a couple. We would love to visit again.

The lake could be seen from our Room, the dining area, and even the bath, and we were able to truly relax from the heart. The meals were gentle and beautifully presented without overpowering the natural flavors of the ingredients, the portions were just right, and everything was absolutely delicious. The proprietress’s thoughtful care and the kindness of everyone at the Accommodation could be felt in so many ways. It’s far away so we can’t visit often, but this time we even got to enjoy fireworks as a special treat, and staying at your Accommodation became a truly wonderful memory.

It was compact yet clean. This is a Hotel where women can feel safe staying. It’s also close to the station, and there are restaurants nearby at night, making it very convenient. I will use it again.

We had a truly wonderful time. The homemade-style meals, the thoughtfully prepared Room and space, and the open-air bath while listening to the sound of the waves were all exceptional. The all-inclusive plan was very satisfying. And we were deeply moved by the former proprietress’s storytelling. This was my first time visiting Amanohashidate, and thanks to all the staff, I had a truly wonderful stay. The Room—including the semi-open-air bath, comfortable changing area, spacious Japanese-style room, living area, and bedroom—was spotless and could not have been better. Everyone on the staff was kind and approachable. The meals were also excellent. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a private dining room with an ocean view, where we could relax and enjoy the sunset and evening atmosphere, as well as the sunrise in the morning. Every dish was carefully prepared, with gentle seasoning that we really appreciated. If there is one point for improvement, it would be that the bath water temperature felt a bit lukewarm. For the open-air bath in the Room, it would have been nice to be able to adjust the temperature. If I simply missed an operation panel, I apologize. I would love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you very much for having us during our stay. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed our meals comfortably on a floor with a wonderful view. In particular, the handwritten message and lovely illustrations at breakfast were very soothing, and we truly felt the staff’s kindness. Thank you. Thank you as well for the Shuttle Service the following day. If there is a regular shuttle to the station, we would appreciate being able to use it on our return trip as well.

The Facility and service were excellent, and it’s a place where I’d like to stay one more night or visit again. This is a recommended Accommodation. Unfortunately, there were two issues: 1. The shower in Room 106 had almost no water pressure, so I couldn’t wash my hair. I went somewhere else in the middle of the night to wash my hair. I would like enough water pressure in the Room shower to be able to wash my hair. 2. There was no lobby with staff on site at the Accommodation; if anything happened, I was told to scan a QR code and talk via smartphone. However, I could not access the system from my phone no matter how many times I tried. Even though I went there to relax, I had to struggle for a long time with setting up a smartphone system that didn’t work. Please place a telephone in the Room.

I stayed here with my sons when they came home for the Obon holidays. Both the lobby and the salon were solid, elegant, and wonderful. From our Room window we could see the river and the sea, and we spent a relaxing time watching the sunset. Dinner was luxurious and delicious, but for me—now over 70—the portions were a bit too large. They asked how much of the finishing sea bream ochazuke we wanted, and I was surprised when my sons chose extra-large servings. The pudding was as delicious as ever, so I enjoyed it easily as a separate dessert stomach. This is an Accommodation I would love to visit again if I have the chance. The Room was much more spacious than I expected, and the amenities were well stocked. The morning coffee service and easy microwave snacks were also great. The only thing I noticed—just a minor detail—was that when you enter and open the door, the entry step area extends to the right, which made it hard to take off shoes and close the door (my shoes could get caught in the door). If that space extended a bit more to the left instead of the right, it might be easier to come and go, so I rated the Facility 4. That said, everything was very comfortable, starting with the front desk staff’s service. The Room was truly spacious with a sofa and very clean. Going out into Otaru and returning to the Accommodation also felt easier and more casual than at a typical large Hotel. If I have another chance, I would definitely like to stay again.

I’m so glad I was lucky enough to get a Reservation at the Accommodation I’d been hoping to stay at when visiting Shodoshima! Thank you for emailing me in advance to confirm that my stay date fell on your Children’s Day, and for your very attentive support even before we arrived. The meals were excellent—we enjoyed plenty of Shodoshima’s local vegetables and fish, and we were completely satisfied. Thank you as well for the careful explanations of each dish and for adding a final message. The Onsen was private and wonderful. It was a shame that our timing didn’t work out, and in the end we couldn’t use one of them no matter when we checked… I also really appreciated the free drink service. We were too full to try the homemade fruit drinks or alcohol, so next time I’d like to come with more time (and room in my stomach), haha. Breakfast was delicious too—I finished everything! It was fun chatting about wanting to go to live shows, haha. I hope you enjoy your private time as well, so you can do even more wonderful work. One small thing: I wish the blind on the Room bathroom window could be adjusted. It felt like it might be visible from outside… haha Other than that, it was an incredibly relaxing space—perfect. Shodoshima is such a wonderful place. I’ll be back!

After the typhoon, I wondered what would happen, but they seem to have live fish tanks, and that really helps them secure ingredients. Even for one person, you get a luxurious sashimi platter of delicious, very fresh fish. Dishes like tokobushi (small abalone) grilled on a ceramic plate and simmered kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) make it feel like a high-end Ryokan. And that’s not all—there are also Western-style dishes using fish, so you never get bored. There are plenty of places that focus on Japanese-style seafood, but it’s rare to find an Accommodation that serves fish prepared in such a wide variety of ways. That said, don’t forget the base is still a minshuku (family-run guesthouse). In the morning, no matter how long you wait, no one comes out—so please help yourself. If it’s your first time, this style can be surprising. But because of that, the value for money is outstanding. Very satisfied.

We stayed with two adults and two dogs. On the way there, our navigation system guided us on a detour and we arrived via a very narrow road, but after the staff explained the route, we found that if you exit onto the road right in front, you’re immediately on a main road and it’s very close to the Awaji Interchange—an excellent location. Our dogs had a great time running around both in the shared dog run Room and in the run. The complimentary drinks at the shared run were much appreciated. For dinner at Genpei, the anago (conger eel) hot pot and sashimi were outstanding, with generous portions—absolutely delicious (lol). In summer, most vacation rentals have lots of insects, but there were very few this time, which was great. Proper insect control measures are clearly in place. The staff were also wonderful and kindly helped us throughout—thank you very much. We’ll definitely come back again.

We stayed here as a family. Inami is known as a mecca for traditional woodcarving artisans, and this Accommodation—renovated from an old kimono shop—perfectly matches the unique atmosphere of the town. Only one group per day. As others have commented, the Room, garden, and bath were all truly impeccable. What stood out most was the chef, who also served as our concierge. He was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about the ingredients, the town’s history, and more. I was deeply moved by how learning about the cuisine and ingredients while dining made the meal even more extraordinary—it reminded me that food is also an encounter in itself. Thank you very much. Hearing about their experience after the Noto earthquake was heartbreaking, but we could also feel how people in Hokuriku are moving forward with determination. We would love to stay again.
