The Room and Facility are clean. The welcome drink coffee is available anytime and tastes great. The bath was also well-cleaned and very pleasant! However, regarding the breakfast buffet... Perhaps due to the presence of a group, there were fewer options, and many items s

The chai served at breakfast was also incredibly delicious—I couldn't help but ask for refills multiple times. I enjoyed a leisurely meal, admired the beautiful view from my room, and had a truly fulfilling time both physically and emotionally. I would love to stay here again

This time, we stayed during the firefly season in late May. After dinner, just as the Accommodation advised us, we walked to a viewing spot along the “Yoboshigawa” River that flows near the Accommodation. Due to the impact of flooding a few years ago, we were told there are fewer fireflies now, so it wasn’t quite “firefly hunting,” but my spouse and I enjoyed watching fireflies flitting about here and there, feeling like kids again for a while. The viewing spot on the Yoboshigawa River is about 400 meters south of the Accommodation along the road, making for a nice post-dinner walk (haha). After that, it was back to enjoying the Onsen. I’ve written reviews several times in the past about their hospitality and service, meals, and Onsen/baths; as always, we received warm hospitality and had another very satisfying stay this time as well. We’ll be back again.

The amenities were especially impressive—truly top-class! Personally, the Club Lounge service was outstanding. You can really feel their commitment to food and beverage: both tea time and cocktail time offerings were genuinely Hotel quality. The staff were friendly in a very

All the staff were very kind, the location was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious—we were completely satisfied with our stay. A few small touches we really appreciated… Having warm water at the foot-washing area by the villa entrance, having a Quickle Wiper in the Room, a

I stayed for a two-night Multiple Night Stay as a solo traveler at Asanoya in Yumura Onsen. From start to finish, everything was comfortable, and it truly became a wonderful stay. Onsen & Room: The Room was spacious, clean, and very relaxing—I was able to spend the two days as comfortably as if I were at home. The quality of the Onsen water was exceptional; each time I soaked in it, the silky water felt wonderful on my skin and soothed my fatigue from the core. Meals: Above all, I was most impressed by dinner each evening. The dishes made generous use of seasonal local ingredients, and every item reflected careful craftsmanship and attention to detail. The presentation was beautiful and enjoyable to look at as well. Not only were the flavors excellent, but everything—from the choice of tableware to the perfect timing of serving hot dishes while still hot—was outstanding, making each meal a truly blissful experience. They prepared different menus for both nights, so I looked forward to dinner every day. Hospitality: The staff’s thoughtful care and the warm service from the attendant who served my meals were wonderful. Even though I stayed alone, I never once felt lonely—instead, I enjoyed a luxurious yet heartwarming time. This is an Accommodation I would love to visit again in another season. Thank you very much for such lovely memories!

We chose a Plan because we wanted to eat spiny lobster and abalone; we also added a dining option on the day and were very satisfied—it was tender and delicious. The cosmetics were MIKIMOTO as well. We added an option and gifted my wife a Pearl Spa experience, which made her very

The Drink Bar on the lobby floor, offering coffee and tea anytime, is much appreciated, and the amenity bar is well-stocked. There is also a 7-Eleven downstairs, and the airport bus conveniently departs from the entrance of our sister hotel, Hotel Clement Takamatsu. The Hotel i

Depending on the Room, you can see Tokyo Skytree straight ahead—an excellent view. As expected from an Okura-affiliated Hotel, the interiors are luxurious. The entrance and elevator hall also feel very upscale, with natural stone tiles and a large atrium—truly a lavish space. -

We enjoyed four Onsen baths: the “Top-Floor Scenic View Bath,” “Kiseki no Yu,” the “Semi-Open-Air Bath,” and the open-air bath on the Room terrace. The “Kiseki no Iyashi Japanese-Western Room with Open-Air Bath” was also equipped with an electric bed and bathrobes, making it very

The DIY smoothies and pancakes were not only tasty but also fun to make, with staff providing helpful advice on preparation. Local ingredients such as seared bonito and Tosa Jiro eggs added a regional touch. The attentive staff ensured the buffet was always well-stocked and clean

The bath, toilet, and sink were all in one space in the Room, but it was spacious, and above all I was impressed by how perfectly clean the bathtub was—smooth and sparkling. The large public bath was amazing. There was a silky bath, a bubbling bath, a cold bath, and a sauna—every

Convenience stores and cafes are nearby, and even on rainy days, the location is close to the station with covered walkways, so no umbrella is needed. Fresh towels were hung on the doorknob daily, allowing me to enjoy a clean stay throughout. If I have the chance to visit ag

We stayed as a party of two, and the bed and room were spacious enough with well-equipped amenities. Towel collection points were conveniently located on each floor. During our Multiple Night Stay, towel replacements and trash bin cleaning were promptly handled. We had a ve

We traveled by car for family matters and were relieved to find a well-maintained parking lot. The room was well-equipped, and breakfast at Okage-an with a special set for guests was delightful. The desk with a chair and table set was also appreciated. The staff were kind and hel

My first trip to Onomichi. I chose Hansei, highly rated for its outstanding cuisine. The kaiseki meals made with seasonal Setouchi ingredients were exceptional—each dish carefully prepared, and while true to classic kaiseki, they also incorporated new ingredients in a way that was both impressive and delicious. Even the pickles were finely scored with hidden knife work, showing thoughtful consideration for the guest. I was amazed by the high level of quality. The special sea bream chazuke (with sesame sauce) at breakfast was also superb.

As wonderful as the food was, what moved me most was the attentiveness and care shown by all the staff. From check-in to check-out, their hospitality was excellent. One member of staff in charge of dining even quietly placed an extra dish beside a photo of a family member who could not join us at breakfast and dinner—an incredibly touching gesture.

The “Travel Memory Book” was something that staff had written for the first time, but it became a truly lovely keepsake—the carefully drawn illustration and message conveyed their warmth so clearly.

With such wonderful staff and delicious food, Hansei is a place I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

The Hotel is close to the station, so it was easy to drop off my luggage and head out. Amenities were self-service, but there was a good selection of teas, which I appreciated. The desk was spacious enough and the bed was comfortable—overall a very satisfying Hotel. There is an I

Check-in and Dining As we were staying with a large group, they handled our additional requests smoothly. They thoughtfully arranged the seating for dinner, and it seemed the same consideration was carried over to breakfast. We were able to enjoy our meals in a relaxed atmosphere. Everything was delicious, and we were fully satisfied both visually and in terms of portion size. The Onsen was also wonderful. We received smart, unobtrusive, and attentive service throughout. It was a truly great stay. Thank you very much.

All staff were very kind and welcoming, always with a smile. Since it was extremely hot, I really appreciated that the air conditioning was running well when I entered the front desk area at check-in in the evening. There was a welcome drink, and while the Hotel grounds seemed small, it was perfect for us as we were only staying overnight after sightseeing—compact and comfortable. Recently I often choose places with a large public bath, but this time there was a semi-open-air bath, so I could relax without worrying about anything and recover from my fatigue. They had a full lineup of ReFa products; outlets, cables, and towels were provided in two separate areas; it was eco-friendly with no plastic bottles; the alternative cups were easy to use; and there were water dispensers on each floor. I didn’t use them, but it also seemed possible to do laundry and drying. There is a small rooftop area where you can see Sakurajima—I was truly impressed. Great value for money, clean and well maintained, with an excellent location—this is an Accommodation I would definitely like to stay at again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
