We truly appreciate the warm and thoughtful service from each staff member. Every interaction was kind and made our stay very pleasant. From the front desk to the dining area, the relaxation space after bathing—every part of this accommodation offered excellent service, creat

The Onsen facilities included three private baths, an open-air bath, and a large public bath equipped with an open-air section, a spacious indoor bath, and a sauna—all offering excellent water quality. The meals featured seasonal ingredients and were all incredibly delicious. Th

Although it is located along a main road, once you step inside, it feels like another world. You are enveloped in greenery and tranquility that still preserve the atmosphere of its founding 160 years ago. With a spacious Japanese garden and wooded grounds, I was genuinely surprised that such a nature-rich space remains in such a convenient location from central Fukuoka City. The large public bath is spacious, with free-flowing water from the source continuously overflowing. Freshly drawn spring water carries a pleasant sulfur aroma. Through the wide windows, you can enjoy forest bathing. There is no open-air bath, but it still felt wonderfully open and relaxing. The meals were truly satisfying: refined dishes that are gentle on both body and mind, made with locally sourced seasonal ingredients from across Kyushu. The portions were just right. The tableware was also exceptional—you could feel how carefully high-quality pieces have been cherished and used over many years. We stayed in Heiantei, and the Room features an interior corridor layout that maintains privacy between each space (two Japanese-style rooms and one salon), making it comfortable even for multiple families traveling together. We were only two people, but it was more than spacious enough for us. The staff’s division of roles was thorough; each person clearly carried themselves as a professional in their position, and you could sense their pride in working at this renowned Ryokan. The service was flawless. Maintaining this level of quality must be incredibly demanding, but I sincerely hope they will continue to protect this precious historic Onsen Accommodation and pass it on to the future generations to come. It’s also extremely close—just 15 minutes by train from central Fukuoka City—so convenience is outstanding as well. Having stayed at countless Ryokan and Hotels, I can recommend this place with complete confidence.

" We are very satisfied. 1. The customer service was excellent. The explanation of the facility and room was brief and easy to understand. The best part was the photo of us as a couple inside the building and at the entrance on our way home. They offered to take it before we ev

The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with traditional touches like kokeshi dolls that caught my eye. The Onsen had an abundant water supply, featuring silky, cloudy water that gently enveloped the body. The temperature was just right for a relaxing soak.

We visited to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday. It was a long drive from Yokohama to Nagano, but this was a wonderful Accommodation that truly made us glad we came. The in-room open-air bath was a little hot and needed some adjustment, but it was clean, spacious, and free of insects. The shampoo and conditioner also left our hair smooth and silky. (Some Ryokan at this level still leave your hair feeling rough.) All the staff who welcomed us were smiling, and during dinner the head chef served the main dish right at our table. Everything was delicious—made with local ingredients and carefully prepared with great attention to detail. On our way out, they even opened the souvenir shop in the main building earlier for us, so I was happy to be able to buy the souvenirs I wanted. My parents were very pleased as well, so we would love to visit again while they are still healthy.

The open-air bath and hinoki bath in the room were also good, and I liked the amenities. Every dish from dinner, including fish, meat, and rice, was satisfying. The chocolate cake ordered as a surprise was delicious, and my companion was delighted. I chose this place to celebrat

I’ve written quite a bit, but when I got home and took a bath at home, the hot water felt almost sharp against my skin—making me realize again how gentle Kannnon Onsen’s water is, wrapping the body softly with its soothing quality. It’s an Onsen that makes me want to return again

The entire facility was impeccably clean. The meals were incredibly satisfying both in volume and taste—plenty to eat and drink to satisfy even heavy drinkers like us! Free soft drinks and beer for just 100 yen were definitely highlights. Overall, while there wasn’t excessive se

We travel to Onsen destinations across the whole country about 20 times a year as a couple. This time, we stayed for two nights. The sense of space design was outstanding, the service provided by well-trained staff was top-notch, and both the Onsen and meals were impeccable. Seei

By chance, my wife heard about this Ryokan from a friend, and because of our pet we chose a day-use Plan. The course included an Onsen bath and lunch, and we were very satisfied. The Facility, service, and food were all flawless. Next time, I’d like to try the dinner Plan. If pos

The view was excellent, and we were able to relax while enjoying the scenery from the room and the open-air bath. The meal after a refreshing bath was also fantastic. Each dish had unique touches, and the staff provided tips on how to enjoy them best, making everything truly de

On my way back from a business trip to Tokyo, I planned a visit to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, which I had long wanted to see. I stayed one night at an Accommodation in Kinugawa Onsen. I chose it after searching with conditions such as having an in-Room Onsen bath and being reasonably priced. The lobby was well maintained, and the hallways were very clean as well. Our Room had an Onsen bath and two separate rooms, so my wife went to the large public bath while I enjoyed the in-Room bath. The meals were very delicious, and the portions were just right—slightly on the generous side. It was a quiet Accommodation where I could relax in the Onsen, which was wonderful. Many of the staff seemed to be from overseas, but everyone was polite and courteous. One thing that concerned me was that when I opened the window by the in-Room bath, there were quite a few spider webs. Also, insects gathered on the window at night so we couldn’t open it; I thought that if there had been a screen door or similar, we could have opened it. If I have another chance to visit nearby, I would like to stay again.

This was our first stay with my husband, a friend, and two dogs. The Room was spacious, and although it rained both nights, we were able to relax and take it easy. The dog run was covered with wood chips, so our dogs’ paws didn’t get muddy. Having a free-flowing hot spring bath in each villa was very appealing, and my Onsen-loving husband took many baths and was very satisfied. This time we chose the No Meals Included plan, but we bought cheese and bread from the shops introduced in the in-room guide for this Accommodation, and everything was delicious. We’ve been talking about staying for three nights next time. We’re looking forward to staying again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

While completing check-in procedures in the lounge accompanied by matcha tea hospitality, I was greeted personally by the General Manager and even had a commemorative photo taken—an unforgettable experience that heightened my excitement further. From my upgraded room, I enjoye

The bath can only be described as superb. The quality of the spring and the structure without a single pillar make just entering the hot spring amazing, and you can also enjoy the view while soaking in the bath. It's an incredible design, especially in winter when several meter

Also, the bath and washroom were spacious, so even with several children, we could enjoy it without any stress. A clean space with tasteful interior design where both dogs and humans can relax is very precious. I would love to use this place again with dog-loving friends or impor

All of them are luxurious 100% free-flowing hot spring water straight from the source (no added water), and the bathing facilities were outstanding. In addition, both dinner and breakfast were extremely substantial—so much so that you will be completely full thanks to the wide v

There were no people or buildings nearby, so our family was able to relax and enjoy ourselves freely. Our dogs, who aren’t comfortable around strangers or other dogs, were also able to unwind, which was wonderful. Changing slippers when going out into the garden and coming back inside was a bit of a hassle, but aside from that we were completely satisfied. The amenities were well stocked as well. We’d love to stay again.

The staff's hospitality was excellent, and the meals were so plentiful that we couldn't finish them—truly satisfying. Of course, the onsen was outstanding. The atmosphere exuded a sense of history and charm. Staying at this historic onsen ryokan has become a wonderful memory
