I visited this auberge for the first time on a two-person trip with my daughter—I'm a serious Onsen lover, and she’s happy to come along as long as there’s great food. We were excited from the start. Since we’re the “stay-in and relax” type who don’t need sightseeing, this was the best Accommodation that met all my requirements, including an all-inclusive plan. The Room options by type matched our request perfectly, and I felt soothed in a space with a style I love. The food was, of course, outstanding—everything tasted new to me, and I was truly impressed! It exceeded my expectations so much that I was far too full to enjoy much of the after-dinner drinks in the lounge or the snacks and sweets, and I didn’t even make it to the cup noodles. I was also amazed by how many kinds of complimentary drinks were available, and there was plenty of beer and water stocked in the Room refrigerator as well. The amenities felt very luxurious. They were such good quality that there’s no need to bring your own. Because it was just us at breakfast, we were able to chat with one of the female staff members (I wish I had asked her name) and enjoy a wonderful time right up until close to checkout. They even had bread from my favorite bakery prepared for us—I was so happy. It’s a shame I can’t write about the Onsen experience, but instead we were able to enjoy another Onsen nearby, which I’ll take as good luck—and it also gave us a reason (and a promise) to come back for sure. I also feel sorry that you showed us such considerate care—it almost felt like too much. I’m grateful to have found an Accommodation in Yunogo that we’ll definitely return to. I recommend it for important anniversaries, and it has also become a special place as a reward for myself. Two wonderful staff members and an incredibly talented chef. I truly hope this place will be here for many years to come. Thank you so much!

It feels just like being at home, truly a comfortable accommodation. This is my second stay, and it’s a reliable place to stay. The breakfast portion was just right. The owner’s hospitality is excellent!

It was absolutely wonderful. Given the price, we had high expectations, but it exceeded them. The first floor had three bedrooms, two toilets, one bathroom, and one TV. My cousin and I each stayed in separate rooms. The living room on the second floor had a wall of windows... my cousin was amazed by how beautiful the sunrise looked through them. The bath was spacious and luxurious; I enjoyed a relaxing soak. However, it was slightly inconvenient that there were no hair ties or a tabletop mirror available... The staff's service was excellent as well. We received one coffee voucher and one beer voucher each but were kindly allowed to exchange them for two coffee vouchers instead—thank you! My cousin from Yokohama and I are already talking about staying in a different building next year!

I decided on a whim to take a flight from Hokkaido and came to stay here, as I hadn't visited the Shinjuku area much before. I heard that the accommodation was renovated this year, and it was very clean. The air conditioning on the guest room floors worked well, which was a great

This was our fourth stay. Ever since our first visit, we’ve been impressed by the delicious meals, the relaxing Onsen, and the wonderful hospitality of the proprietress and all the staff—an Accommodation that always makes us want to return. It also has a charming, nostalgic atmosphere, and the Room was spotless and beautifully maintained—nothing to complain about. We’re planning to visit again next year, and we’re already looking forward to it.

This was my first visit to Hakone. The serene, nature-rich environment and the beautifully renovated interior of the facility and Room made for a very comfortable stay. The open-air bath was wonderful, allowing us to relax while enjoying views of the trees. The Japanese-Western style Room we stayed in with our beloved dog had a dining table, allowing us to enjoy a luxurious dinner in the Room, which was highly satisfying. The tatami area in the Japanese-style room was new and spacious, providing a relaxing atmosphere. Our dogs seemed delighted with both the spacious Room and the dog run. The staff members, including those from overseas, were all very kind and provided heartfelt service that left a great impression on us. We are grateful for how this trip added color to our journey through Hakone during its beautiful autumn foliage season. We look forward to visiting again during another season!

I had a wonderful time at this Accommodation where I could relax and fully enjoy both the Kinsen and Ginsen Onsen. Is the owner a woman who loves Onsen? It wasn’t excessive, but everything I wanted was thoughtfully provided, making my stay very comfortable. I also appreciated the complimentary free-drink service. The large public bath allows up to seven women, but since there are four private baths as well, it never felt crowded. If I may make a small request, it would be great to have tissue paper available in the private baths too, and having both M and L sizes of loungewear in the Room would be helpful so guests can choose what fits best. I would love to stay here again when I visit Arima Onsen. Thank you very much.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of two nights with breakfast included. Sometimes you get the same meals when staying multiple nights, but I was happy that the menu changed. There were many dishes and the portions were satisfying. The tableware was also lovely. The Ryokan has been renovated and both the exterior and interior are very clean. However, because the structure is an older wooden building, outside noise carries easily. More than voices, you can hear footsteps quite clearly. I stayed in a Room on the 2nd floor, and on the first night I could hear footsteps from upstairs until around 1:00 a.m., which was stressful. If you are sensitive to noise, it may be better to request a Room on the 3rd floor. When it rained, umbrellas and rain shoes were prepared at the entrance, so my feet didn’t get wet. Many people were walking outside in geta in the rain, but I was impressed by the rain-shoe service. The coffee, black tea, tea, and electrolyzed water service was also great. It felt like there were many younger staff members, but everyone was pleasant and helpful—and their English was fluent as well. It was a wonderful Ryokan where you can really feel attention to detail in everything from tableware and interior design to furniture and services. I would definitely like to stay again.

Other dishes were also very tasty, and there was an excellent selection of sake to complement the meal. The staff were all incredibly kind and attentive, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing stay. The welcome amazake and sake tasting were also delightful. We would love to stay here

The location and the Onsen seem to have been well designed by the company that operated it when it was built, and they are quite nice. However, it was disappointing that the Facility and courtyard were not well maintained despite their potential. The food and the staff’s service were excellent, and it is a good option in terms of reasonable pricing. I felt that many Accommodations purchased after COVID-related bankruptcies are like this, and may not last long.

To everyone at the Hotel, and Nagi—thank you for taking such great care of me. These two nights and three days truly helped me understand the concept of “luxury through simplicity.” It gave me a chance to reset by letting go of built-up fatigue and stress in both body and mind, and to spend unhurried time reflecting on myself. Next time I’ll stay for three nights and four days—and I’ll come see you again!

This was my third stay, and as always I was very satisfied with the meals, the baths, and the hospitality. The dinner in particular felt like a course meal, which made it enjoyable to savor at a relaxed pace. Being able to enjoy a variety of wines and sake with the coin system was also a real treat for anyone who loves alcohol. They also provided guidance on recommended spots for firefly viewing, and I was able to see countless fireflies dancing in the night. The mornings and evenings were cool, so the duvet came in handy. I would love to stay again.

I made the Reservation a bit nervously, but it turned out to be absolutely the right choice. The exterior looks a little old, but the inside seems to have been renovated and was very clean, with thorough housekeeping. It felt as comfortable as visiting a friend’s home and renting a Room there. It seemed to be the smallest Room, but it didn’t feel cramped at all. There were shelves where I could spread out my luggage, and a rod by the window for hanging hangers, which made drying laundry easy—those thoughtful touches were wonderful. Having a water dispenser was also greatly appreciated.

Nozawa Onsen has few accommodations that allow pets. Among them, we had an excellent stay in a spacious log house room, enjoying a relaxing onsen experience. They provided a parking pass for visiting the public baths in town and even allowed us to use the onsen after the trail race the next day. The attentive service was truly appreciated. We look forward to staying here again when we participate in the race next year.

My family visiting from overseas stayed here. As soon as they arrived at Tenku, they were impressed by the beautiful views, and they were also happy that the outdoor bath has a water heater, making it easy to use. Although the building isn’t very large, they were impressed by how comfortable and well designed it is. However, the bathroom felt quite small. They were surprised by the small bathroom, but throughout their stay they kept saying, “We want to come again.”

This is a new and clean Room. Parking is conveniently located right in front of the guest Room. A supermarket, convenience store, and dining options are nearby for added convenience.

The bath and room were very clean. The hotel bus took us to the illuminated cherry blossoms at Ishibutai Kofun in the evening, which was absolutely beautiful. The staff were very kind and provided excellent service, making our stay pleasant. Would love to stay here again!

Stayed here while doing the Lake Biwa cycling loop by road bike. Two nights in a mini cottage with breakfast included for 4,800 yen. Limited-time deal? I couldn’t believe it was during summer vacation—so cheap I was worried, but everything was well taken care of down to the details and it was excellent. The bath (5 tubs), showers (4), and toilets (4 or more) are shared, as is the fridge/freezer. Breakfast is available from 6:00 a.m., with rice refills (self-serve) and a plate of nine side dishes plus natto and miso soup. You can also help yourself to furikake, tea, coffee, and more. The Room has heating/air conditioning, a TV, and free Wi‑Fi. If I had to nitpick, the bed is on the small side and there’s no mattress pad. For the price, it was outstanding.

We stayed for one night from March 19. It was an Accommodation that truly lived up to its high-rated Reviews. The Room was a bit compact, but it had a spacious wood-deck balcony, was thoroughly cleaned, and felt very fresh and relaxing. They also provided a waterproof sheet for our dog, so the bedding was OK. We followed proper etiquette and used a diaper, so we were able to sleep together comfortably. Dinner was BBQ on the large wood deck (honestly like yakiniku from an upscale restaurant). We really enjoyed the wagyu that the owner personally cuts—absolutely delicious. There were also lean wagyu and chicken tenderloin for dogs, and our dog happily ate it all. Vegetables, soup, rice balls, etc. were included as a set, and there are plenty of optional menu items as well. The Onsen can be reserved privately in 1-hour time slots (Reservation required), so you can soak slowly and unwind. From 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM it becomes open access—if it’s available you can use it (all private Onsen use is free). They even have a bathtub for dogs, so your dog can enjoy the Onsen too!! There is of course a dog run, and since this Accommodation hosts only three groups total, we could enjoy it at our own pace. Breakfast was a handmade burger—also outstanding. Options like extra patty or cheese are available! It seems you can also switch to a hot sandwich. Yogurt, onion soup, salad, and your choice of drink were included as well—we were very satisfied. This Accommodation hosts only three groups per day (Sunny), so we could relax fully and enjoy the Onsen—and since our dog isn’t great with other dogs sometimes, it was perfect that everything could be done mostly within our Room area. It was very reasonably priced: delicious meals, wonderful Onsen time, and the best part—being able to stay with our dog all the time. To the owner couple, their adorable son, and Sunny the resident dog—thank you for such a fun and fulfilling trip!! We’ve already made our next Reservation too; I’ll work hard until then while looking forward to coming back.
