I stayed for one night on a business trip. I booked a great-value Plan that included all-you-can-drink sake plus two meals (Japanese breakfast). 1. My planned check-in was 19:30, but traveling Yokohama → Tokyo → Iwaki → the property, I missed the 18:00 Joban Line train from Iwaki. The next train was 19:26 (a 1.5-hour wait), so I arrived at 21:10. (If you’re coming from a major city, please be aware: public transportation in Minamisoma is basically just the north–south Joban Line, and service is limited. If you’re not driving, plan carefully.) 2. I was in a hurry and very hungry, so I forgot to take photos, but the food was delicious. The owner kindly explained things like having water alongside sake to pace yourself for me as a foreign guest. The Yahoo Travel page said “all-you-can-drink sake,” but beer and shochu were also available. 3. The Room had a shower but no toilet. Hot water took quite a while to come out at the outside sink, so I used hot water from the Room for brushing my teeth and washing my face. Since guest numbers have decreased after the earthquake and it must be hard to keep pipes warm, I didn’t mind. 4. Breakfast was Japanese-style; I expected only miso soup or tea, but there was coffee too—a nice surprise! The grilled fish in particular was juicy and excellent. The owner couple (sorry if that’s incorrect) seem truly well-suited to cooking. 5. At checkout, their dog suddenly came over to greet me—another surprise! Maybe it was a playful warning not to check out late… haha. Conclusion: It was an experience close to 5 stars. One request: please let guests know in advance that there is an alert/guard-type dog on site who may greet them unexpectedly at checkout or elsewhere on the property. I like dogs, but my heart has become weaker with age; even a friendly surprise can startle me. I look forward to staying again.

The baths are simply excellent. The Rooms and building are somewhat old overall, but the baths are truly wonderful. The meals aren’t flashy, but they taste good and come in satisfying portions, so we were pleased overall. We were able to set off fireworks in the parking area a short distance away, and the kids seemed to really enjoy it.

Because rain was forecast, I made a Reservation the day before. I arrived before check-in, but they kindly let me park my motorcycle under the eaves, so I could do some maintenance without getting wet—this was a huge help. They also recommended a nearby izakaya and even made a Reservation for me, so I was able to enjoy delicious local dishes with local people. When I go touring in Shimanto again, I’d love to stay here. Thank you very much.

Premium Room Twin Bed with Bathtub 6-minute walk from various Shibuya stations, including JR Shibuya Station (Hachiko Exit). Located across from Mega Don Quijote, the upper floors of the multi-purpose commercial facility "Dogenzaka-dori" house the Hotel. Follow the pathway inside and you'll find a sign for the Hotel. The room is compact but cleverly designed, offering enough space to open suitcases comfortably. There’s a niche by the entrance that perfectly fits two suitcases, making your stay efficient and spacious. From reception to elevators and room interiors, artistic decor creates a stylish atmosphere. The reception staff were kind and accommodating with luggage storage requests. The room features twin beds, a table set for two, a large-screen TV, an air purifier, soft waffle-textured pajamas and bathrobes, as well as ample amenities like cleansing products and lotion. The bathroom includes a spacious bathtub combined with a shower area—conveniently designed like your own home bathroom—perfect for relaxation. Additional thoughtful services include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speakers, steamers, etc., ensuring comfort during your stay. Both toilet and sink areas are roomy—it’s hard to believe it’s only 25 square meters! Truly comfortable. With cafes, restaurants, and bars available within the Facility itself—you might wish you had more time to enjoy everything! Breakfast can be enjoyed at the restaurant buffet or through in-room dining for leisurely mornings; an American breakfast was around 2,500 yen. Even coffee cups are beautifully designed—with Hachiko illustrations on saucers adding charm. Fresh bread rolls along with salads and fruits were delicious! Conveniently located along Bunkamura Street near cafes/restaurants/convenience stores; elevator access requires key cards while peephole covers on doors ensure safety. Compact yet incredibly comfortable—a convenient Hotel perfect for any traveler!

We stayed as a group of three families, totaling nine people, ranging from a 1.5-year-old toddler to a couple in their 60s. There were four bedrooms, allowing each family to have their own space, making it very convenient for a large group. The upstairs living room, kitchen, and dining area were spacious as well. The stylish design and cleanliness made our stay very comfortable. For both dinner and breakfast, we went shopping for ingredients at a nearby supermarket and enjoyed cooking together as a group. It was an entirely different and enjoyable experience compared to staying at the usual Hotel or Ryokan. Our 1.5-year-old grandchild was thrilled with the new experiences away from daily life and had so much fun. On the train ride home, they seemed to feel sad about leaving Katase-Enoshima behind. It became an unforgettable trip filled with wonderful memories for all three families!

We visited with our 4-year-old and 0-year-old children. The baby stayed in a living room baby playpen (brought from home), while the 4-year-old had a blast in the pool all day. From the terrace chairs, we could see both children, making it a relaxing and well-thought-out design! The standard amenities were plentiful and comfortable, but there were also many child-friendly items, which was very helpful. Unfortunately, it rained on the day of our visit. However, unexpectedly, one-third of the pool had an adjustable roof that allowed us to enjoy it even in the rain! (→ This feature is so convenient that you should promote it more on your website!) If I may suggest one improvement: having foldable tarps or parasols available for rent (even for a fee) would allow for more covered areas over the pool and make visits less weather-dependent. Overall, this accommodation is highly recommended for families with children!

Everything was excellent overall. The location is right in front of the ocean, and you can walk to the beach. We enjoyed a luxurious stay with our dog. The BBQ ingredients were also very delicious. It would be nice to have lights by the pool and a microwave. We would like to visit again.

We stayed here for a family trip with our grown sons. Perhaps because the building is set back from the road, it was very quiet, and we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful time. At night, we connected to Netflix and watched a movie with craft beer and snacks—it was a great time. We bought bread from a famous bakery for breakfast and toasted it in the oven here. It tasted freshly baked again, and we enjoyed it with the complimentary coffee. The bathroom is stylish and lovely, but the only downside is that shower water gets into the washroom area, making the floor sticky. As for service, everything is self-service, so I rated it 3. I was a little worried because there were some negative Reviews, but it was a great Facility that I would like to use again.

Convenient location with spacious rooms. Highly recommended, and we plan to book again for our next trip to Tokyo.

Take a bus from Kanazawa Station and walk a little from the Katamachi or Korinbo bus stop. It is located along a shopping street in the middle of the downtown area, Kenrokuen, and museums, making it possible to visit Kenrokuen and Nishi Chaya District during a morning walk. It is a modernly designed Hotel, which I found very nice when tired of the usual Business Hotel. I thought having such a Hotel is Kanazawa's strength. The view from the window was a bit oppressive with the wall of the neighboring building, but it was a large Room with a sofa, making for a comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

This was my first time using this Hotel. I stayed with my daughter and had no complaints about the Hotel itself, and we had a comfortable stay. However, the road to the Hotel was... This time, it was manageable since it was just my daughter and me, but honestly, I wouldn't want young girls like my daughter to walk that road to the Hotel.

I was very satisfied, but I would be even more pleased if usage until 6:00 PM were possible.

The service was great, and the food was delicious. I didn’t have high expectations because it’s an older Hotel, but the Room felt clean and the bath was very relaxing. There were towels for the bath available at the public bath, so I could comfortably enjoy a morning soak. In the morning, coffee and juice were available in the lobby, which made it feel like excellent value for money.

This Facility was satisfying in every respect, including the size of the Room and bath and the well-equipped amenities. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

Although it was a No Meals Included stay, we stayed for two nights as a parent and child on the Standard Japanese-Style Room Plan. It is located on a hill with great views. The Japanese-style room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. However, the only downside was that we couldn’t adjust the shower temperature well in the bathroom—it would sometimes get too hot or too lukewarm. Perhaps because there were few guests, it was very quiet from night until morning, and we were able to relax. The parking lot was also large and easy to use. If we have a chance to stay in the Ikoma area again, we would like to try it with meals included next time. Thank you very much.

The view of Mount Fuji from the room was very beautiful.

Located in the heart of the downtown area, offering convenient access to any destination. Perfectly suited for business use with a comfortable environment. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful.

I stayed for one night. The tatami mats were clean, and I received a bathing ticket for a nearby Onsen. You make your own futon bed. The door is a sliding door, but it has an auto-lock. I was on a tight budget, but this Accommodation reminded me of old-style Japanese guesthouses and Ryokan, where you felt closer to others.

The facilities felt a bit dated, as expected from a public accommodation. The room was a combination of Japanese and Western styles. While the Japanese-style side showed some signs of aging, the Western-style side seemed to have been renovated and was excellent. Although our room did not have a private bath, the large communal bath was conveniently close (it seems they accommodated our request for proximity due to my mother’s mobility issues). The room's location near both the dining area and the bath on the first floor was very convenient. The toilet and washroom were clean, making for a comfortable stay. The communal bath was also wonderful. The indoor bath had separate areas for washing and soaking, providing a peaceful experience when in the tub. The outdoor bath offered stunning views of autumn-colored mountains while listening to the gentle sound of a nearby stream—an exceptional experience available even late at night. Compared to the indoor baths, the outdoor baths were slightly cooler, perhaps designed for longer soaks. Above all else, however, it was the food that stood out as extraordinary! Despite jokingly mentioning that Gunma only has mushrooms, miso paste, and wild boar pork ("Inobuta"), these ingredients were crafted into delicious dishes with great care and creativity. The portions were generous; unfortunately, my elderly mother and wife couldn’t finish their meals entirely. The dishes made abundant use of fragrant mushrooms with mild yet flavorful seasoning—truly delightful! Miso paste seemed to be a local specialty here; its rich aroma enhanced various dishes beautifully. And then there’s sake! With around 40 varieties exclusively from Gunma breweries (if I recall correctly), choosing one can be overwhelming at first glance! We opted for their tasting set featuring five types (approximately 30ml each) priced at ¥1,500—and every single one tasted distinctively delicious! Individual glasses ranged between ¥600–¥800 per serving (about 180ml), making it hard not to deliberate over what next drink should follow! I particularly enjoyed "Hiraijo," while my wife preferred "Akagiyama," so we ordered another glass accordingly based on her choice afterward. A staff member who recommended these selections had extensive knowledge about sake which made conversations engaging throughout dinner service too! It’s no surprise this accommodation attracts many repeat visitors—it truly deserves such loyalty given how memorable our stay turned out overall. Thank you sincerely for providing us such an incredible travel experience!

We were thrilled that they showed us a covered parking area for our two motorcycles. At other Ryokan and Hotels we’ve stayed at, they offer covered parking for cars but say motorcycles aren’t allowed. The Onsen and the meals were excellent, and the staff were courteous—they even checked with the kitchen to answer our questions about the dishes. Overall, it was a very comfortable Ryokan, and we’d like to stay here again whenever we travel to the Yamaguchi area.
