Perhaps we were lucky with the timing, but we received an upgrade. There is a large public bath and the Facility amenities are well equipped, so this price offers excellent value for money. The Room was also clean and comfortable. We didn’t have time and chose No Meals Included, but next time we’d like to book a Plan that includes meals.

The rooms are kept clean. Amenities can be taken to the guest room as needed, which is efficient and helps prevent misuse by some guests. There is also a gym, and a sauna is available by Reservation. There are no notable downsides. Most guests are from abroad, but recent travelers seem to study Japanese customs beforehand, so unusual behavior causing discomfort to others has become less common.

A stylish hotel utilizing a historic building. The lounge offers exceptional financiers and cookies, highly recommended. A wide selection of alcoholic beverages is also available. However, the room specifications are somewhat limited, and while the water facilities are clean, they are minimal. Kinosaki is known for its public Onsen hopping, which I learned later. The best way to enjoy this accommodation might be to explore the local Onsen and sightseeing first, then relax in the lounge afterward.

I traveled with my elderly mother, who uses a wheelchair. There was a small step along the road at first, but the staff came immediately and provided heartfelt hospitality, making it a delightful two days for my mother. All the staff were kind and pleasant. We were truly taken care of, including an upgrade to the room. Thank you very much. Since Nishiki Market and Daimaru are nearby, we would love to stay again. The room was clean, and I highly recommend it!

I have been using it frequently, but since around last year, possibly due to SDGs initiatives, the amenities have become less luxurious. It might appeal to environmentally conscious individuals, but for regular guests, it just feels like a downgrade in the Hotel's quality.

On the morning of the 24th, I searched for and booked a Hotel with a large public bath nearby so I could watch the Gion Festival yamahoko “tsujimawashi” at Kawaramachi Oike. It was absolutely the right choice! From the subtly Kyoto-style entrance, everything felt welcoming—especially the front desk staff, whose excellent service instantly eased my fatigue from traveling in extreme heat. I was satisfied as soon as I entered the Room. It’s a take-off-your-shoes style, and the clean Room along with its layout and furnishings made it feel like coming home. Having all water facilities grouped together right by the entrance is very convenient. Since there is a large public bath, the shower booth in the Room was more than enough. While many Hotels these days don’t provide sofas or tables, I really appreciated having a long sofa you can lie down on, an armchair-style single sofa, and a table that’s plenty for two people. There are many great restaurants nearby, so it was nice to have a setup that makes takeout easy to enjoy in the Room. The lighting controls were easy to understand, with thoughtful touches like an individual bedside light and options for indirect lighting throughout the Room. The bed was very comfortable—even with sensitive skin and being sensitive to smells, I slept soundly. The linens—especially the pajamas—were high quality and perfectly laundered; cleaning standards were excellent overall, including towels for the large public bath. Water came in stylish Ito En bottle-type containers that were replenished again on the second day and convenient to carry around. Tea, coffee, and black tea were also restocked, and I was happy they even provided wine glasses. At the entrance to/fromthe large public bath area there were two types of vinegar drinks that helped me stay balanced during summer heat. As for views: you can see mountains inthe distance,but right next door is an apartment balcony,and below is temple cemetery grounds,s oI keptthe blinds downand used indirect lighting.(I usedto livein Teramachi,s o cemeteries don’t bother me.)Since windows are frosted glassin springand autumn too,I think it won’t be an issue unless you wantto open them fully.The hospitality at this Hotel more than made upfor it.I didn’t add breakfast,but usedthe attached grillfor lunchand cocktail time,and enjoyed both.I’d love to stay at this Accommodation again.

After my wife was discharged from the hospital, she successfully passed two follow-up checkups, and we finally planned our first trip in a year. While searching for an exceptional stay as a surprise gift, we found this Accommodation. In a completely private setting, we were able to enjoy a blissful escape from everyday life. The Room filled with bright light through floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the vast grassland stretching out before us, the free-flowing Onsen and pool fed directly from the source, and the soothing sounds of nature—just what we could see and hear was enough to heal us. And yet, the chef’s warm personality reflected in every dish, along with stories full of love for Hokkaido, made it truly unforgettable. Using local ingredients along with freshly picked herbs and vegetables harvested right on the property, the unpretentious course allowed us to fully savor Hokkaido. From appetizers created right in front of us to a beautifully cooked main grilled over firewood rather than charcoal, every once-in-a-lifetime dish for that day alone moved us again and again—right through dessert. The wines thoughtfully recommended at just the right moments were also excellent. Small gestures—like turning our leftover corn rice into onigiri for a late-night snack—were deeply touching. The smooth, slightly thick Moor Onsen water left our skin silky soft, and I found myself soaking again and again after dinner, in the middle of the night, and at dawn (laughs). The steam rising into the night air under a sky full of stars was so calming I wished time would stop. Breakfast in the crisp morning air was also an array of homemade delights—we enjoyed every last bit of what this Accommodation has to offer. Spending time in an entirely private space where you can have endless views and the chef’s cuisine all to yourself—without anyone disturbing you—is truly one of a kind. Thanks to you all, it became the best possible surprise trip to celebrate my wife’s discharge. To the chef, manager/director (shihainin), and everyone on staff who helped make our stay so special—thank you very much.

It is a wonderful, luxurious Hotel, but this time the view was completely blocked by a building wall right in front of the Room, so please take this into consideration next time.

The four of us stayed with breakfast included. The food was delicious, and the owner and all the staff provided excellent service—thank you for your heartfelt hospitality. In addition, thank you for driving us from Kasumi to Toyooka on a morning of heavy snowfall.

There is an accommodation nestled in a forested hill within walking distance from Nakatsugawa Station. The expansive grounds are lush with greenery and feature scattered traditional detached buildings, exuding the charm of a mountain retreat. Surrounded by garden stones, plants, and tea flowers, the landscaping is meticulously maintained. The historic buildings showcase aged materials and fittings that reflect their history and character but are kept impeccably clean. Each unit has been updated with a spacious unit bath equipped with a washing area and modern toilet facilities for convenient use at any time. One of the detached buildings houses large communal baths for men and women, each featuring rectangular stone bathtubs that can accommodate several people along with two washing areas. Large glass windows open fully to reveal views of the bright forest outside. While not an onsen, it offers an atmosphere reminiscent of one. The accommodation is conveniently located near Magome and Tsumago, attracting many international guests seeking its unique ambiance. Meals are served in private dining rooms within separate annexes where guests can enjoy dishes at tables with chairs. The cuisine features innovative rural delicacies inspired by tea kaiseki style, showcasing creativity and meticulous preparation in every dish. Pure rice sake available in the room's refrigerator pairs perfectly with these meals. Nights here are quiet, offering warmth despite being housed in old Japanese-style architecture known for its gaps between structures. The hospitality provided by the staff adds to this warm experience as well.

This Accommodation left a strong impression with its attentive hospitality and warm smiles, and the meals were truly delicious. The tasty, well-balanced dishes were a delight at both dinner and breakfast. If I have the chance to visit Kirishima Onsen again, I would love to stay here again. I usually don't write reviews for accommodations, but this trip was truly unforgettable, so I decided to share my experience. Around 12:20 AM, there was an unexpected power outage. While waiting for the power to be restored, it became inconvenient (cold and unable to flush the toilet), so I filed a complaint around 1:00 AM. It turned out that the entire area was affected by the outage and nothing could be done about it. I deeply regret filing a complaint under such circumstances. The power was restored around 3:00 AM, and I can only imagine how hard it must have been for the staff during that time. Looking outside, I saw people in the area working together to address the situation—it warmed my heart. The whole community came together as one team; it was truly remarkable and made me feel ashamed of my earlier complaint. Additionally, lanterns were placed in hallways without us even noticing when they were set up—this thoughtful response left me deeply moved. On another note, both dinner and breakfast were outstanding! Having traveled extensively and stayed at various accommodations before, this one stands out as exceptional (the cost-performance ratio is amazing; it's a level of service unimaginable on Honshu). Compared to other famous seafood regions like Izu, Ishikawa, Boso Peninsula, Ehime, Miyagi, Akita... even Hokkaido—this place ranks No.1 for me! The photos of meals are just a glimpse—they truly exceeded expectations. Due to unforeseen circumstances on that day requiring me to be in Hakata City by 8:00 PM., we consulted with staff who kindly adjusted our dinner start time earlier despite short notice and ensured quick service during our meal—I am extremely grateful. One minor disappointment would be with the bathing facility setup—I had booked a standard room but regretted not choosing a suite instead after seeing what they offered later on-site; if shown beforehand upon arrival perhaps would've upgraded immediately! Overall though—from handling unexpected events like outages or accommodating special requests regarding dining arrangements—this trip has been extraordinary beyond words thanks largely due efforts from your wonderful team members whom deserve heartfelt gratitude making sure everything went smoothly leaving lasting impression forever cherished memory indeed! If ratings allowed higher than five stars surely would give them here since overall experience surpasses expectations entirely deserving perfect score across board absolutely phenomenal stay thank-you again please continue providing such excellent hospitality always!

A simple, no-frills temple lodging. There is no bath, so the Facility is somewhat lacking. However, in the atmosphere of Jōhana, a temple town, it offers more than enough in return. Once you visit, it will likely remain a lifelong memory.

I stayed here as a solo traveler. It’s within walking distance of the Higashi Chaya District, and during cherry blossom season it’s a great place for a stroll! Since you can rent the entire house exclusively, I was able to relax and take my time. The bath was especially wonderful! The Facility and amenities were also excellent, with the latest appliances—almost too good for just one night. Next time, I’d like to buy local vegetables and fish and cook in the well-equipped kitchen.

I stayed here again for the first time in a while since the renovation. The open-air bath was different from before, and I enjoyed it with the men’s and women’s baths switching. The Room was a Japanese-Western style, so it was spacious, but the bed was narrow and the pillow was high, making it hard to sleep. The meals were very delicious, served at just the right timing. The salmon sashimi was a little unique—well thought out and tasty. The ayu sweetfish also had just the right amount of salt and was very enjoyable.

This was my second stay. I stayed in a different Room than last time, and the selection of books was different too, which I really enjoyed. The food was delicious, and the bookstore at night was just as fun as before! The only disappointment was that I could clearly hear other Rooms’ doors opening and closing, which woke me up at night. I’d love to stay again sometime!

We originally planned a stay with No Meals Included, but we were able to reserve breakfast at the 1st-floor café. It was delicious and really helpful. The Room was clean and stylish, and also designed so our family of four could relax comfortably. (Our kids even took photos saying they want to live in a place like this someday.) The mountain resort we came for was right in front of us. There were several Onsen nearby, and we used the one next door. It had a sauna and was great, but the shampoo there was an all-in-one type that left our hair quite squeaky. The shampoo provided in the Room shower was excellent, so I washed my hair again after returning to the Room. When we come back to Hakuba, we will definitely stay here again. All the staff were wonderful as well. Thank you for an amazing time.

Stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in October 2025. Check-in was at a location separate from the accommodation, but they kindly explained the accommodation details and confirmed pet-related matters. Although driving was a bit tense due to narrow roads, we arrived safely without getting lost. The room was thoroughly cleaned, equipped with air purifiers and deodorizing machines in each room, ensuring good ventilation. The space was comfortable for both our family and our pet to enjoy together. During our stay, we opted for one breakfast and one dinner as an add-on option, allowing us to savor Kyoto's catering cuisine while enjoying a relaxing meal in the room. This trip to Kyoto left my family very satisfied with their stay, which made me truly happy as well.

【Good Points】 ① Stunning views! ② The room is warm thanks to good sunlight. ③ A cheerful surfer-style staff member joked, "I'm strong, I can carry your luggage!" ④ All drinks in the fridge were complimentary. 【Bad Points】 ① Parking is challenging as it's along the seaside street. ② Since the entrance is on the 3rd floor, carrying heavy luggage can be tough. ③ Limited number of humidifiers; it gets dry quickly when using heating. ④ The room gets extremely hot on sunny days due to too much sunlight. ⑤ Wi-Fi was unavailable for all three days of our stay. I stay in this area about three times a week and had all my meals at my usual restaurants, so I didn’t use the kitchen much but recall that the cutlery was well-stocked. Although there were some minor issues, my stay was generally comfortable. I plan to visit again when it gets warmer!
