We stayed in Angel’s Ladder Type A. Just as the Reviews said, the Room, open-air bath, and indoor bath were all extremely satisfying. The meals were excellent—abalone, spiny lobster, and steak. The staff were also very attentive, and we had a very pleasant stay.

The location is excellent—just a short walk from the station with great access. When I asked to leave my luggage before check-in, I was told I could enter right away, which was a big help on such a hot day and gave me a chance to take a break. The entire building has tatami flooring, making it comfortable to spend time in the Room, and there is also a large public bath where I could relax and recover from fatigue. Breakfast had a wide variety of options and was delicious. The young male staff member on the floor was quick and efficient, which made for a pleasant start to the morning. Thank you as well for kindly assisting me with my inquiry about an item I left behind after returning home.

I looked forward to seeing the familiar front desk staff again and enjoying the first bath in the morning, so this was my third stay this year. It’s conveniently located just two subway stops from Kyoto Station, with two convenience stores nearby. On rainy days, you can even borrow an umbrella. In the Room, I line up my personal items in their usual places and it truly feels like home. I’m planning to visit Kyoto again next year, and I’m looking forward to seeing the “Room type assigned on arrival…” plan announced on IKYU.com.

We stayed for 7 nights and 8 days from July 18 to July 25, 2026. (It is shown as 6 nights, but we extended by one night.) We stayed in a Room on the Premiere Floor with access to the club lounge. These days, many low-cost-operation hotels do not provide escort service to the Room, but here a traditional bell attendant guided us to our Room and explained everything—truly a first-class Hotel. The Room key system was very convenient: when you held the key card over the sensor inside the elevator, it automatically selected your floor. I often see systems where tapping the card simply enables you to press a floor button, but this was my first time experiencing automatic selection of the guest floor. In addition, on the Premiere Floor there was an automatic door at the elevator hall that would not open unless you tapped your key card, which I felt was an excellent security feature. Our Room was a junior suite; although there was no wall or door separating the living area and bedroom, it had space and furnishings comparable to a typical Hotel suite. In this Room, not only were beers and juices in the refrigerator complimentary, but also minibar items such as whisky and wine were free of charge—and whatever we drank was replenished the next day. Housekeeping was also very fast: even when we went out in the morning and returned after around 1:00 p.m., our Room had already been thoroughly cleaned and all amenities fully replenished. I have stayed at many hotels in Japan and abroad, but often housekeeping is still in progress at that time and you have to spend time elsewhere until it is finished; at Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo, we never once had to do that during our stay. This is my first time encountering a Hotel with room attendants who work so quickly yet so carefully. From lunchtime onward, alcohol such as beer, wine, champagne (during my stay it was Laurent-Perrier), and sake were available in the club lounge—it truly felt like heaven. The staff were efficient yet gentle in mannered service and easy to talk with, making it a very comfortable space. There were also many breakfast venues and options available, which we really enjoyed. My wife and daughter said they would like to stay again as well. It was an extremely pleasant stay. This is a spacious corner twin room with panoramic views of the Onomichi Channel and the area around the station. I also appreciated that the floor was not carpet but a well-cleaned wood floor. A lovely touch was the hassaku jelly in the refrigerator for each guest, complete with spoons, and chilled bottled water for everyone as well. The handmade cookies made in collaboration with a local social welfare corporation also left a great impression. These days, even branded city hotels often don’t provide complimentary water, so I truly appreciate this Hotel’s warm hospitality. It was also nice that Accommodation guests receive 10% off at the souvenir shop. Breakfast was excellent too—not only with locally sourced ingredients, but also soft-serve ice cream. From the moment I arrived at Onomichi Station, even the station staff were full of energy, and I could feel how the whole town supports one another and works together to keep things lively. Some shops have closed down, but the shopping street—where retro and modern coexist—is a must-see. Since it was a hot season, it was tough to walk for long periods and I couldn’t see everything I wanted to. I’d love to visit again in a cooler season and stay at the same Hotel at a more relaxed pace.

We had a very comfortable stay, including the Room, meals (featuring ingredients from Kochi), and the large public bath. The sweet yuzu tea in the post-bath lounge was especially delicious. (It would be even better if it were replenished a bit more.) Also, when we asked where we could use handheld fireworks, the front desk staff immediately told us that it would be possible around the area in front of the Lawson at Josei Park, about a 5–10 minute walk from the Accommodation (on the concrete ground). This was very helpful, and our child was able to enjoy fireworks. (We asked at other hotels as well, but in the end we couldn’t find out where it was allowed…) Just one point: our child’s dinner was prepared as a Western-style meal, although it seems Japanese-style could also be selected. If there is an option to choose, we would appreciate being asked in advance (ideally at the time of Reservation). Our child prefers Japanese food, so we shared from our meal instead. (At check-in it had already been prepared; we were told that remaking it would incur an additional charge.) Overall, however, we had a very comfortable stay and would definitely like to use this Accommodation again on our next visit to Kochi. (A small detail: having a freezer function in the in-room refrigerator was very helpful for refreezing ice packs.)

It was close—about a 90-minute trip from Osaka. The ocean view was amazing. It didn’t feel old at all, and the staff were polite and attentive. We went with our children, and from check-in onward they enjoyed table tennis, the pool, and other activities, so we had a great time staying in the Hotel. The restaurant food was also excellent, and when we mentioned it was our daughter’s birthday, a young female staff member at the restaurant gave her such thoughtful hospitality that we were truly moved. We would definitely love to stay again. Thank you very much.

A family trip with my son and his wife. At check-in, the proprietress personally welcomed us at the entrance—thank you for doing so in the heat. From the guidance around the property, to attentive service during meals, to seeing us off when we left, everything was excellent. Even though she was very busy, she took the time to speak to every guest. The meals were delicious, and breakfast in particular was lavish—we were completely satisfied! The Onsen was also wonderful; the slightly hot water left us feeling refreshed. We will definitely return. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. This was my second stay. The Onsen in the Room is silky and wonderfully relaxing. All the staff were very kind, and I also enjoyed a variety of snacks and drinks in the lounge. I look forward to visiting again.

All of the staff were extremely kind and made our stay very comfortable. Every dish was delicious, with just the right portions, and the timing of each course was perfect—we were very satisfied. The open-air bath was especially relaxing. This is a Ryokan we would love to stay at again when we visit Miyajima.

I’ve stayed at this Accommodation many times, and I’m always able to relax. The meals are delicious, and the female staff provide excellent service, making it a very comfortable and satisfying experience. I was also able to unwind in the Room’s bath and enjoy a slow, peaceful pace of time. Of course, I’ll be back again.

For our 40th wedding anniversary, we searched for a place where we could relax in an Onsen and enjoy a delicious French dinner, and this Hotel came up. Hoping—just a little—that there might be a celebratory chocolate message plate with dessert, we visited Tamana Onsen for the first time. Dinner was beautifully presented and delicious, and we were more than satisfied—but after the course dessert and coffee, to our surprise, a cake plate arrived!! We truly weren’t expecting that much, so we were overwhelmed with emotion and almost brought to tears. And the cake itself—the whipped cream was exquisitely tasty. The quality was exactly what you’d expect from a Hotel cake! On top of that, the message lettering was beautifully done, the chocolate was delicious as well, and we were once again impressed by the pastry chef’s craftsmanship. The Onsen was spacious with free-flowing water, and it was lovely to see it decorated with traditional Japanese umbrellas and bamboo lanterns. It also felt wonderful to be greeted so warmly by all of the staff. The next day, we walked to Riganji Park’s footbath and enjoyed the cherry blossoms at Jagatani Park—making the most of our first visit to Tamana. We’ve both been busy working full-time for years and had never stayed at an Onsen Accommodation on our actual anniversary day before, so this became a truly special occasion—our most memorable since our wedding. We are deeply grateful to all of the Hotel staff for creating such a wonderful celebration. Thank you very much! Next time, we’ll be sure to visit again with friends and family.

I stayed here for sightseeing in Kanazawa. Although I took a bus from the station, it was a very convenient Hotel—Higashi Chaya District, the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, and plenty of lunch and dinner options were all within walking distance.\nIt was my first stay, but my friend who stayed with me chose it right away after saying, “Nono is recommended.” The Room was easy to use, clean, and I was very satisfied. The large public bath was also very clean.\nI also enjoyed the late-night soba and was extremely satisfied. Next time I’d like to try the buffet. I will definitely stay again, and I would love to recommend it to other friends as well.\nThank you very much for your hospitality.

We had an extremely satisfying stay in every way. This time, we stayed in both the villa and the Deluxe Twin, and both Rooms were very clean. However, on the first night we chose to have a BBQ at the villa, but it was too hot to handle. We thought it would be nice if there were a mist system on the terrace.

I stayed on the Early Bird 56 / No Meals Included Plan in a Corner Double Room for Single Use (Non-Smoking) (Double). This was my first time staying near Fukushima Station, and I’m glad I chose this Accommodation. The Room was compact, but clean and easy to use. In particular, the bathroom was very clean, which I think is especially appreciated by women. Amenities are placed next to the elevator for you to choose what you need, and everything necessary is available. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the drip coffee in the Room was! The staff were very kind as well, and I had a comfortable stay.

I stayed here two years ago and it was amazing. This time, even though it was raining due to back-to-back typhoons, it didn’t matter at all—our stay was wonderful again. I heard the interior was fully renovated about a year and a half ago, and the Room has been updated with a modern feel. It’s stairs up to around the 5th floor, but each step is low, so getting around isn’t difficult. Our two dogs get excited the moment they arrive when they like an Accommodation, and they were thrilled this time as well. They even used the provided toilet just like at home. Since they’re timid, we didn’t use the dog run. I tried three Onsen baths, and all of them were perfect—the temperature was just right. The food is simply outstanding. The sashimi is expertly prepared, and there’s more than enough overall—I couldn’t finish everything. I especially love how Shiki no Kura serves abalone, and it was truly delicious again this time. Even compared with top Hotels and Ryokan across The whole country, this place ranks among the best. Breakfast was also excellent: a selection of side dishes that anyone would enjoy paired with rice cooked in a clay pot. The staff’s guidance and conversation were great, as were their thoughtful touches in the Room. After breakfast I took a nap and checked out at 11:00—honestly, I relaxed even more than my dogs did. The building itself does feel old in places; when I wiped the floor it came up dirty. But everywhere has something these days due to staffing shortages, so it didn’t bother me. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that prices fluctuate quite a bit during Kawazu cherry blossom season and other peak times. If it were always reasonably priced, I’d make this my regular go-to (laugh). I will definitely be back again.

The Room had a relaxing modern Japanese style. There was a corner seating area, perfect for unwinding. The bathtub was spacious, and the yuzu bath additive we received filled the bath with a wonderful aroma that washed away our travel fatigue. Dinner began with beautifully presented appetizers that were a feast for the eyes, followed by a live demonstration of searing bonito over straw. I was truly moved by this performance—something you can only experience here in Tosa. It became the most delicious bonito I have ever had in my life!! They also carved the red-meat steak right in front of us; it was tender and incredibly tasty. The salt-grilled ayu and the carefully crafted dessert were excellent—we were completely satisfied. The all-you-can-drink alcohol selection also offered a wide variety. Breakfast had a Japanese touch, featuring freshly shaved bonito flakes with their rich aroma and egg over rice. The freshly cooked rice was especially good. Every single dish brought joy. The staff’s service felt perfectly balanced—not too close, not too distant—and very comfortable. Everyone greeted us with lovely, natural smiles. It was my first trip to Kochi, but I can confidently say this is the best Hotel in Tosa.

The night view was beautiful, and we could see Atami Castle illuminated from our Room! The bath in the Room was also great, and breakfast was delicious! At first, we missed the road leading into the Ryokan and drove past it. Going back and taking the uphill road from the main street was a bit nerve-racking! The service was excellent, and we had a very comfortable stay!

We stayed here to celebrate my mother’s full recovery from illness. Even though it was a last-minute request, they kindly arranged flowers for us and even gave us a special gift. Thanks to their exceptional hospitality, we had an unforgettable time.

This is a dog-friendly Hotel, and both the Room and the dog run were clean. The bath was also excellent, so we had a very comfortable stay. The late-night tantanmen was delicious as well! Above all, all of the staff were very pleasant. In particular, the staff during meals and the chef who made the tantanmen were wonderful, which made our trip even more enjoyable. Thank you very much.
