I considered an Accommodation on the Nagara River because I wanted to show my daughter cormorant fishing. An Onsen Accommodation would have been nice, but we wanted a buffet-style meal, so we chose this Hotel. It was an extremely hot day, and the moment we stepped into the Hotel, the cool air revived us. As a Diamond member benefit, I was happy to receive a one-drink service in the first-floor lounge. The Room we were assigned was on a high floor with a great view, and it was spotless—truly impressive. The dinner buffet isn’t in a huge restaurant, but the quality of the dishes served was excellent, and we enjoyed everything. Drink prices were reasonable for a Hotel, and since it was before cormorant fishing, my daughter and I each enjoyed one drink. We used taxis for round-trip transportation to the cormorant fishing site, which made it very comfortable. Even though it was hot that day, there was a pleasant river breeze, and it helped us forget the daytime heat for a while. Because the river level was low, it seems they didn’t actually catch many ayu, but being able to see energetic cormorants up close made it a great experience. At breakfast, there were many inbound guests early on, but they cleared out quickly, so we were able to eat in peace. The well-known ayu rice porridge was delicious—I went back for seconds several times. The selection of dishes also reflected local flavors well, with various Gifu specialties, which I appreciated. For morning fruit there were oranges, pineapple, and lychees; I’d be happier if there were a few more options. I liked the selection at the shop as well. If I had one request, I would truly appreciate Shuttle Service from the station to the Hotel. As expected of an established Hotel with history behind it, my daughter and I enjoyed an elegant stay. Thank you very much for taking care of us for four days! Thanks to you, we were able to spend an amazing four days. The Room was spacious, thoroughly cleaned, and very comfortable. The Hotel was also clean, calm, and relaxing—everything was wonderful. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options and everything was delicious, and the valet parking service was excellent as well. Above all, we could truly feel the thoughtful hospitality from all of the staff, which made our stay extremely pleasant. We will definitely stay again next year!

We stayed for five nights as a family this time. The baths are wonderful, of course, but all the front desk staff were very kind, making us feel comfortable and at ease throughout our stay. This is our only choice for a Hotel in Akabane!

I highly recommend this Onsen Facility for guests traveling with dogs—there aren’t many places where you can relax this much. Even in the recent hot summers, the on-site dog run is more than enough, with two spacious areas where dogs can play happily to their heart’s content. The view from the bath is simply amazing, and I end up soaking again and again. In the lobby café, there is a complimentary drink service, and with the great scenery and atmosphere, you can unwind together with your dog. Dinner can also be enjoyed buffet-style with your dog by your side, and everything tastes delicious. You can truly enjoy every moment together with your beloved pet. Another favorite is breakfast the next morning: it comes as a sandwich box that you can take back to your Room to eat. It also feels like there’s no concern about bears appearing around here, and it has become a place I absolutely want to visit at least once a year—honestly, I’d come every month if I could.

We stayed for one night in July. A senior colleague who lives in Ehime Prefecture recommended Funaya, saying that if we were going to stay anywhere, it should be Funaya—so we decided to stay together. We were both truly impressed. The meals were excellent, both dinner and breakfast. The fish was incredibly fresh—we were amazed. The Room was also impeccable in every way, with nothing to complain about. We would definitely like to stay again.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a gift of a hot towel and chocolates at check-in. Of course, the staff’s hospitality was also excellent. I had checked in advance that there was a gym and spa, but the gentle, convincing suggestion—“Your Accommodation Room is on the Mt. Fuji side, and the spa is on the Skytree side, so please feel free to use it”—led me to enjoy both. The Room décor was elegant and refined, and I was amazed they even provided binoculars (unfortunately, the weather was bad so I couldn’t use them). The amenities and drinks were more than sufficient, but when I learned there were several types of pillows available, I couldn’t resist requesting one. Not only are the facilities outstanding, but every single staff member—including those at the breakfast restaurant—provided attentive service; everything on the service side was flawless. Hats off to them. I’ve never had such a comfortable stay before; my companion and I kept saying “We don’t want to leave,” as we checked out.

The area isn’t very safe due to the location, but once inside, it was so clean that I felt at ease. The bathtub was spacious, and it was fun being able to switch between different shower heads. The selectable bath salts and the POLA hand soap also smelled wonderful. There were blinds by the sink area in front of the bathroom, which made me feel more comfortable, and opening them made the Room look larger—really nice. I expected a typical business hotel, but it was very clean! I could watch lots of apps on the TV by logging in, and mirroring worked too. Also, I personally loved the drip bag coffee and lemon mint tea—they were delicious and made me happy. For eco reasons there wasn’t bottled water in the Room (it seems you can get some by following their Instagram), but there was a water dispenser system where you go fill up yourself, and it was great to have both room-temperature water and cold water. The BALMUDA electric kettle looked stylish too—big plus points. The Superior Double bed was extremely comfortable as well. I want to go to Royal Host next time! Very satisfied!

In every respect—service, rooms, cleanliness, and location—this is an outstanding Hotel. While many Hotels offer simplified service these days, it was wonderful to experience traditional Japanese hospitality here. The breakfast was delicious, made with locally sourced ingredients—so much so that I’d happily return to Hokkaido just for this Hotel. I was especially impressed by the milk tasting and the variety of cheeses. Since the bar closes early, I’ll check in earlier next time so I can enjoy it! Thank you very much.

This was our first stay during the Obon holiday season. After sightseeing in the scorching heat, we checked in early, and from the moment we walked in, the interior was stylish. We could enjoy drinks at any time we liked, and above all, we were amazed at how pet-friendly this Hotel is in every way. We were also able to use a pet cart at dinner time, which made it easy to enjoy a comfortable walk and meal. The hot dogs were delicious, and breakfast was stylish with generous portions—we were very satisfied. We would be even happier if dinner service were available as well. All of the staff were kind, and we would love to stay again.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. The Room was spacious, and we loved the greenery visible from the window. The meals were, as always, reliably delicious, and we were especially touched that you even prepared an anniversary plate for us this time. All of the staff were kind, making our stay very comfortable. With the private bath service included, along with early check-in and late check-out, we fully enjoyed our Diamond member benefits. This is an Accommodation we would definitely love to stay at again.

Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. The open-air bath and toilet in the Room were very clean, and we had a comfortable stay. We were also surprised that even the indoor bath was an Onsen. As we traveled with our grandchild, the pool was wonderful and our grandchild was delighted. Since this time was only a one-night stay, everyone was very disappointed, and we are thinking of staying longer next year. Although one of us became unwell, thank you sincerely for your attentive support. The Facility is new, yet it is a wonderful Accommodation that preserves traditional Japanese hospitality and service.

I stayed here for the first time because I’d heard the breakfast was delicious! There’s a large public bath, the Room bath is spacious, and of course the breakfast was great. It was a bit disappointing that the Room refrigerator didn’t have a freezing function, but they were able to provide ice the next day, which really helped. I also regret that I couldn’t make it in time for the curry served from the evening. I’d like to stay here again if I’m in the area.

The dog run, the Onsen, and the meals—everything was really great! The buffet was good, but the set meal dishes were especially excellent. It was raining on our stay date, so thank you very much for letting us check in around 2:30. There were welcome drinks as well, which was wonderful. The Onsen was small, but the water was very nice. We would definitely like to stay again.

Stayed on the 11th-floor ladies-only floor. The view was great, and the Room had a calm atmosphere, so I had a very comfortable stay. The two paintings were lovely, and I felt the colors and materials of the furnishings, along with the soft warm lighting, were thoughtfully designed for women. The female staff member at the front desk was also very kind and helpful. This is a Hotel I would like to use again.

We stayed with our child, and thanks to the friendly staff who spoke to us warmly, both parent and child were able to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. The meals and drinks served at SPECIALTY SALON were also excellent. Next time we stay, we would love to try breakfast at THE MOMENT as well. Thank you very much.

I wasn’t sure where to go in Hokkaido this time, but I decided on “Yoroushi” because I’d wanted to visit for over 30 years! Just as the Reviews said, everything was wonderful—the Room, the Onsen, and the meals. For the past few years, every time I come to Hokkaido I’ve felt that Japan’s hospitality industry is being supported by an aging workforce and by staff from overseas. I’d give it all 5s, and everyone served us with a smile and worked very hard, which was truly appreciated. That said, personally I think it would have been fine without a welcome greeting or being shown to our Room. I can talk about meals or work-related matters, but being able to have natural conversation is also a priority for me, so it was somewhat disappointing not to have that. This is not meant as criticism of foreign staff. Their Japanese was good and their service was genuinely excellent. Still, speaking honestly as someone visiting an Onsen, I felt a sense of loneliness that’s different from how things used to be.

An exceptionally luxurious Hotel. Staying at this Hotel for this price is a great deal! The Room is excellent, and the Japanese breakfast is delicious! I also like that the key isn’t a card key. When I leave the key at the front desk and come back, they call me by name and hand it to me before I even reach the counter—meaning they remember my face. A Hotel I definitely want to stay at again!

I had a very comfortable stay. Both the property and the Room were clean and well maintained, with thorough housekeeping. The meals were delicious and served in just the right portions. The staff’s service was naturally friendly and made me feel at ease. The only disappointment was that I was looking forward to a beer after my bath, but there was no shop or vending machine, so I had to wait until dinner. That said, this is a rather indulgent request given how well stocked the drink bar in the lobby is. It was an Accommodation I would like to visit again.

We stayed for two nights with our two Pomeranians and my father, and had a very comfortable time at this dog-first Accommodation. The staff, the Room, the meals, and the bath were all excellent. Since it was hot, we really appreciated being able to borrow a free cooling neck wrap for our dogs. The portions were generous, and I’m sorry we couldn’t finish everything. We would love to stay again.

It was a very stylish Hotel and felt clean, and as soon as I entered the lobby it felt open and spacious—somehow it was very comfortable. There is also a free Shuttle Service, and the location is excellent. A design Hotel where every detail feels different from others. The exposed concrete walls created a great atmosphere.
