Stayed again. I use it for work and meetings with clients. As before, it’s a Hotel located in a love hotel district, but the Room is spacious and the bed is large, so you can sleep comfortably and relax. Dinner is included, but unfortunately prices have gone up and more menu items now require an additional fee, which was unexpected. The Room also has internet access, making it convenient for work, and overall it’s a comfortable stay.

Everything—the views, the Room, the baths, the meals, and the hospitality—was outstanding. My whole family kept saying again and again that we had never stayed at such a wonderful Ryokan. First of all, the baths! The view of Otaru spread out below from the open-air bath was breathtaking. (We also really appreciated that the amenities were from a well-known cosmetics brand and that towels were always available.) Inside the Ryokan, there were furnishings that evoked the former prosperity of the Herring Mansion, making it an irresistible place for history lovers. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and I especially can’t forget the potato with butter sauce—a long-loved specialty of this Ryokan. It was such an incredible time that I almost didn’t want to recommend it to others. I definitely want to come back again next time.

The bath and in-room dining were both excellent. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.

While preserving the traditional machiya atmosphere overall, the Accommodation has been thoughtfully renovated with a focus on key areas such as the bathroom and kitchen—spacious, spotless, and highly practical. It was a comfortable space with an excellent sense of balance. Unlike a typical Hotel stay, it offered an experience that blends into the neighborhood, and I felt as if I were spending my very first day after moving in. There are many lighting fixtures, and being able to fine-tune them to suit different situations was very convenient. The complimentary local drinks—such as roasted green tea and cider—were a delightful touch that added to the travel mood. Everything from the teapot and cups to the tray and even the hair dryer had a refined design that was pleasing to look at. It was a wonderful Room combining quality with functionality. Under normal circumstances this would unquestionably be a 5-star stay, but this time I am rating it 3 stars. The guests upstairs ran around for minutes at night and again the next morning like shuttle runs, even falling loudly at times. It was noise at a level that would feel excessive even in an ordinary Hotel—and all the more so in a machiya-style place like Komado. Even if our floors were reversed and I were staying upstairs, it would still have carried through. It was extremely difficult to endure. I wanted to raise this through staff, but neither the main phone line nor the emergency contact number could be reached around 7:30 p.m. I believe this Accommodation’s core appeal is its high-quality feel that blends seamlessly into everyday life in town, so it was deeply disappointing that such noise is fundamentally incompatible with that experience. That said, if you are not paired with guests like we had this time, it will surely be an outstanding stay without complaint. Being able to look out onto the courtyard was also fantastic; it is illuminated at night and offers scenery different from daytime—I never got tired of it!

The two of us stayed in a villa-type room. Because there were few guests, it felt very private, and we were able to enjoy a quiet stay. The private beach was well equipped with parasols and beach beds, and we saw lots of fish while snorkeling. We also used the sauna, and with the pool right in front of us, we were extremely satisfied!

Whenever I visit Osaka, I stay at this Hotel. This time, I noticed that the table in the Room was smaller than before, and the shower was a bit harder to use than it used to be. However, being able to make a Reservation for parking gives me peace of mind, and it’s a Hotel where I can stay comfortably. I’m always grateful that when I have a Multiple Night Stay, you provide amenities for the full number of nights. Thank you very much—I’d like to stay here again when I’m in Osaka.

This Accommodation comes highly recommended by a renowned Hotel critic. Although it is away from central Nagasaki, I think it is a Hotel well worth going out of your way to visit. The Room was of a level you normally couldn’t stay in at this price. We arrived early for check-in, and the staff recommended a walking route around the Hotel—about 40–50 minutes on foot. Since it feels quite isolated without a car, we also had dinner here. It’s an expensive set-course dinner, so my rating was slightly strict because of the price. They also offer an à la carte menu. For breakfast, I chose the Western option. It felt a little lacking that there was only one type of bread—the same round French loaf as at dinner. The Japanese breakfast might be more recommendable. I requested Shuttle Service from the port and communicated by email; their responses were fast and excellent. That alone shows this is a first-class Hotel. Because of the ferry schedule, it looked like we might arrive just before lunch service ended, but they did their best to accommodate our request (in the end we switched to an earlier ferry so it wasn’t necessary). Also, the ferry from Sasebo was not as rough as I had feared—an easy and comfortable 30 minutes. There’s too much to say here, but I’m truly grateful for all the thoughtful care shown by every member of staff. “A Hotel worth making your travel destination.” That’s what this place is.

After staying at Karaku in Gora at the end of last year and loving it, we wanted to visit Karaku in Atami next—and we were able to make it happen this Silver Week! This time, we also invited my father. He was truly moved by the staff’s heartfelt hospitality, the Room, the baths, and every meal. Seeing him relax and enjoy himself so much made me feel like I was able to show a little filial gratitude. My husband and I also loved the lounge—different from Gora—where they grind coffee and carefully prepare each cup, which you can enjoy in your favorite coffee cup. Next time, I definitely want to soak in the open-air bath at sunrise on a clear day, so we will absolutely return! And next time, I think I’d like to have sushi. In any case, everything was wonderful!

I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. Because it was raining heavily, I arrived early, but I was able to relax in the lounge while waiting, and since the Room was ready quickly, I was allowed to check in early. The Room had a body pillow, and the bed angle could be adjusted, so I could rest in a very comfortable position. The meals were thoughtfully arranged for both my husband and me. My meal had no raw items and was changed to options that considered the baby’s nutrition. It was fun to compare it with my husband’s meal as we ate. Everything was delicious. I’m sorry that I couldn’t eat very much and ended up leaving some toward the end. On departure day as well, we enjoyed tea in the lounge before checkout and were able to enjoy our stay until the very end. Thank you very much!

This is a perfect Ryokan with meticulous attention to every detail. The building is beautifully maintained, and the finishes and Facilities feel refined. The Onsen is excellent, and the amenities are well stocked. The meals are delicious, served on beautiful tableware, and satisfy both taste and presentation. Drink prices are reasonable as well. The location is close to Yubatake, making it easy to enjoy a stroll around the area. I would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

This was our fifth stay at UMI, and this time my spouse and I were able to relax and enjoy some delicious drinks on our own, without our children, who are now in their third year of working. Thank you for the towel with the Kaze no Kaori logo to commemorate our fifth visit. The dried horse mackerel for breakfast was as delicious as always, so we bought five to take home. Our children also said they would like to visit UMI again, so we plan to return next March as a family of four. We look forward to seeing all the staff again.

It was a wonderful Hotel. The staff were courteous and attentive, and we had a very comfortable stay. We had a small issue with the Room, but when we asked for help, they promptly arranged a Room change, which was greatly appreciated. Thank you for your quick response. We used the buffet for both breakfast and dinner. Both offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay and would love to return.

Thanks to you, we had a wonderful trip. Spending a full day relaxing in complete privacy, without meeting anyone and without worrying about time, was truly a luxury. And the sushi dinner was outstanding—we couldn’t have been more satisfied. We felt genuinely refreshed and made wonderful memories. Thank you so much to all the staff.

We stay here every year. We are always satisfied with the calm atmosphere, refined quality, and delicious meals. Of course, the hot spring baths are wonderful as well, and we can enjoy the bath in our room anytime, as many times as we like. This time, there were new additions on the second-floor lounge—more offerings such as braised pork buns and somen noodles—and everything was delicious and a pleasant surprise. We will visit again next year.

This was our second stay. Last time, the hotel was spotless with thorough cleaning and the service was excellent, so we already felt it was a rare gem. This time, they upgraded our room, and we were able to enjoy a spacious, newer room. The food was delicious, the staff member who assisted us during meals was very pleasant, and of course the front desk staff were also wonderful—once again confirming what a welcoming hotel this is. We stay in many different places, but in reality there aren’t many hotels where you can feel this comfortable. I’m impressed by everything. It may be that everyone works in an enjoyable environment and that putting hospitality first is part of the hotel’s culture—but I truly felt that maintaining that consistently across all staff is not easy to achieve. We made more great memories here, and I sincerely hope to stay again. Thank you very much.

We stayed for one night on the dog-friendly Plan with dinner and breakfast included. Both the seafood hot pot and breakfast were delicious. The seafood hot pot portion was a bit small, so if you have a big appetite, I recommend bringing extra ingredients. For breakfast, the made-to-order omelet and French toast from the live kitchen were especially good. The bath area had fewer washing stations than expected, so you may have to wait during busy times. The shower was easy to use (adjustable water pressure and it didn’t shut off automatically), and the ReFa hair dryer dried even long hair quickly. There were also a pool and table tennis in the building, plus board games available to borrow for in-Room play—our child loved them. The Room felt like a luxury apartment model unit, with the bedroom clearly separated from the living/dining/kitchen area, so we could relax without worrying even after our child fell asleep. If you have a Netflix account, you can watch it on the TV. That said, it’s hard to ignore that some detailed cleaning in the Room seemed insufficient—especially how dirty the air conditioner and ventilation fan were, which was disappointing. The air conditioner had heavy blackish stains that looked like mold not only inside but also on the exterior. The ventilation filters in the changing area and toilet were packed with dust, which was shocking. Also, while the bathroom and kitchen areas were kept clean overall, limescale hadn’t been fully removed from the small sink installed in the toilet. Dog amenities were well stocked overall, making this Accommodation great value for money and one we’d like to stay at again—but because both the air conditioner and vents were truly dirty, I hope they will be thoroughly cleaned before our next visit.

We stayed here to celebrate my sister’s 50th birthday. From the moment we made our Reservation, we were treated with consistently thoughtful and refined hospitality throughout our stay. The service was truly wonderful. Every dish was genuinely delicious, and we enjoyed a luxurious time—simply a happy space. As an aside, the elevator was surprisingly fast, making trips back and forth to the smoking room completely stress-free.

It was a truly wonderful hotel. Around the day before our stay, they called not only to confirm the reservation but also to ask in advance about various details, and their hospitality was outstanding. The sauna and pool were great, and breakfast was thoughtfully prepared—adorable and delicious. The glasses in the room were so cute that I ended up buying some! It’s a fantastic hotel, and all of the staff were kind and lovely. If we have a car next time, it’s definitely a place we’d love to stay at again for an extended visit.

This was my first stay at Fufu Kawaguchiko, and my fifth Fufu property overall. The meals were exceptionally delicious. The large public bath and sauna were also wonderfully relaxing. Since there is a garden, I thought it would be even better if there were an open-air bath. At other Fufu properties there was complimentary lounge drinks, so I was disappointed that this was not available here.

Iya Bijin is an Accommodation famous for soba. I had carelessly forgotten this, and since my son has a severe buckwheat allergy, we made a last-minute request to remove all foods related to soba. During our stay, they took great care with the meals, and both dinner and breakfast were wonderful—such as ayu sashimi and dekomawashi—and my son ate so much it surprised even us. Of course, he had no allergic symptoms at all. Thank you very much.
