We stayed for two nights with three generations of our family on our first trip to Ishigaki Island. As a welcome service, they had prepared sliced peach pineapple in the refrigerator—it was incredibly sweet and delicious! The Room was very spacious, and it was also thoroughly cleaned and impressively spotless. Everywhere we looked was clean, so we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. Thank you very much. If we have the chance to visit Ishigaki Island again, we will definitely want to stay here!

While searching for a way to create memorable experiences during our long-awaited trip back home, we came across this beautiful Green Villa. Although everything was new to us—moving in, handling procedures, and even cooking on an electric stove which took more time—we managed through the chaos as beginners. Our grown-up children helped with the BBQ and seemed to enjoy themselves, making it a truly wonderful memory for all of us.

We spent New Year's with our family while enjoying the snowy scenery. Although there was less snowfall, the children had a great time building snowmen and climbing the treehouse. The meals were delightful, thanks to the very kind guidance from the concierge beforehand. We purchased local ingredients from Hida Takayama at a supermarket along the way and enjoyed sukiyaki with Hida beef, cheese, butter, and other dairy products. The kitchen utensils and seasonings were well-stocked, so all we needed to do was buy ingredients. Highly recommended for those who love cooking! Despite it being a season when outdoor baths are usually unavailable due to low temperatures, one was kindly prepared for us. The caretaker also provided very friendly assistance throughout our stay. It was a memorable year-end getaway where we could enjoy quality family time in a snowy wonderland away from the hustle and bustle of city life. This is an accommodation we would love to visit again—highly recommended! Thank you very much!

We stayed at the Ryokan during summer vacation. The interior was very beautiful, and everything was clean. The bath had a lovely fragrance and was very relaxing. The staff were kind and took great care of us. We definitely want to visit again! Thank you so much!

This renovated former sake brewery let us see what the brewery used to be like, and it was a very valuable experience. However, due to a faulty electrical outlet, the refrigerator suddenly lost power and we almost had all our food spoil. Since we had brought an extension cord, we moved the refrigerator and managed to plug it into a different outlet, which restored power. Also, the all-you-can-drink sake setup was not working properly: only a small amount came out at first, then after quite some time only a little more (sadly). Over three hours, we got about 4 go (or less), so “all-you-can-drink” was meaningless. This needs to be fixed urgently. The warning notices also feel very strict. If you are going to post strict warnings, you should properly fix and maintain the Facility as well.

We stayed as a family. Surrounded by nature and free of unnecessary distractions, we were able to forget everyday life and truly relax. There is a walking path around Lake Shirakaba, so in the morning we enjoyed a stroll with our child while taking in the lake views. It’s recommended for those who want to take it easy without overpacking their schedule.

It was our first visit, and it turned into an even better weekend than we expected. After making the Reservation, we were happy to receive an email with recommendations for stylish spots nearby. It saved us the trouble of researching on our own and gave us peace of mind. They also share what to bring and other helpful details, so checking your email is a must. We had lunch at a galette restaurant on the way from the station to the Accommodation, then did some shopping and, after check-in, spent the whole time at the Accommodation. Check-in seems to be controlled by an automatic lock system, so you can’t enter until check-in time. (We arrived about 15 minutes early, so we waited in the car for a bit before checking in.) Sauna → taking our time cooking dinner → staying up late with wine. The next morning: sauna right after waking up, brunch, and coffee. We relaxed as if we were at home while enjoying a truly luxurious stay. The sauna was spacious and got properly hot, and the cold plunge was icy—incredible. (It snowed that day, so I think it may have been close to single digits in °C...) In the Room there were high-quality seasonings and natural wines available for an additional fee. We had no trouble cooking meals there, but if you want to make more elaborate dishes using lots of spices or herbs, bringing those along would make it perfect. Lastly, winter driving conditions made us a little nervous. There was snow buildup and black ice on the road in front of the Accommodation, so please be careful as it can be slippery. In winter, studless tires are a must—and having chains would give extra peace of mind. It feels like a place you could enjoy in any season—we’d love to come back in spring, summer, and autumn too!

We stayed here over Golden Week with our daughter’s family. We had originally planned a relaxing trip just as a couple, but right before the trip our daughter’s family said, “We want to come too!”—so we ended up visiting as a large group at the last minute. The owner kindly added extra beds for us, which we truly appreciated. Since our grandchildren were with us, we had a barbecue in the garden at night. The owner even drove us to go shopping. Everything was fully provided, including charcoal and the full barbecue set. While looking out at Amanohashidate, we enjoyed dinner under the bright moon and countless stars you can’t see in Tokyo—it was amazing. The interior was very clean and stylish! For us as a couple considering renovations—and for our daughter and her husband who are thinking about buying a home—the layout, Facility features, decor, and fixtures were all inspiring, so we took lots of photos. As expected from an owner who is an architect—the design impressed us deeply. When traveling with 2- and 5-year-old grandchildren, we usually worry about disturbing other guests, but since we could rent the entire house exclusively, it was very easy and we could truly relax and enjoy ourselves. We would love to stay again. Next time, I think it would be nice for just the two of us to unwind in this stylish home and enjoy an elegant getaway.

The hospitality of the staff is exceptional. The meals are fresh, plentiful, and prepared with great care—absolutely outstanding. The amount of crab was so generous that I couldn't finish it, which I felt truly sorry about. Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options to enjoy. The service was top-notch as well. The sauna and fitness machines are well-equipped, making it a thoroughly excellent Facility.

It was a midsummer stay, but the temperature was perfect even without air conditioning, and we were very comfortable! The space was spacious and luxurious, with an interior that showed great attention to detail—we were extremely satisfied!

I have stayed at vacation rentals several times, but this was the first time I experienced such a private space. The unique experience of being surrounded by bamboo was extraordinary and felt like an escape from everyday life. However, perhaps due to the winter cold, the sauna did not reach a high temperature, which might be unsatisfactory for those who prefer it hotter. Additionally, there was a hole blocked by bamboo on the other side of the bath that felt unsafe. For this reason, I rated the Facility slightly lower. Other than that, it is a place I would love to visit again and highly recommend!

I love the scent of wood when you first enter. The Room felt very clean, the towels were fluffy, and I had a comfortable stay. The weather was great, and the forest view from the large window directly in front of the bed, along with the morning sunlight streaming in, felt wonderful.

The cleanliness was impressive and I was very satisfied. I would have been even more satisfied if there were amenities like coffee and pajamas, but the owner was very kind, so I was extremely pleased. It is quite spacious, so it is recommended for use by large groups.

The view from the living room was amazing! The BBQ we ordered was delicious, and the private bath was excellent. It seems to be close to the new Jungle Area opening soon, so we will definitely come back again.

I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities and services, which exceeded my expectations. We stayed as a group of six, and the space was more than sufficient. The interior had a log cabin style, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Being deep in the mountains, we could enjoy BBQ without worrying much about noise and had a stress-free stay. The owner kindly assisted us with shuttle service, starting the BBQ fire, taking group photos, and more, making us feel very welcomed. I would love to stay here again. Thank you so much!

The private use of the pool and barrel sauna was fantastic. The location is great, just a short distance from Irabu Bridge, making it perfect for a morning run to the bridge. The Room felt like a trailer house, and each unit was small, but we could all sit together using the terrace sofas. The jacuzzi took too long to fill with water as mentioned beforehand, so we couldn't use it properly. There were some minor issues with the toilet not flushing well and other water-related facilities being slightly disappointing. However, since there are no nearby houses or other Facilities around, we could enjoy ourselves freely and had a very liberating trip. The staff kindly recommended local spots to visit and were very helpful throughout our stay. It was an excellent choice for our group of eight people traveling with children!

We stayed here on a trip with three families, and it was amazing—thank you so much. Each Room has its own toilet and shower, so you can use them at your own pace without worrying about others. Even so, because it’s a single building, it still feels like everyone is together. When we made the Reservation, check-in was supposed to be at 15:00, but at some point it had changed to 16:00. We were able to check in at 15:00 on the day, so it wasn’t an issue, but it did make us a bit concerned. I’m giving 4 stars because we would have liked a rice paddle for serving rice, rice bowls, and small plates. The cooking utensils were perfectly well stocked.

I stayed at Oito Bettei. Preserving the atmosphere of a historic merchant house, the accommodation has been beautifully renovated with tasteful interiors and well-equipped facilities. Once inside, it was surprisingly spacious and comfortable, offering a relaxing stay that felt like living there. The kitchen was fully equipped with stylish tableware and utensils, including two types of coffee beans, allowing us to enjoy freshly brewed coffee in the morning. Although we didn’t cook dinner as there was a delicious Chinese restaurant nearby, we prepared snacks using local black soybeans (just released that day), persimmons, sweet green peppers, muscat grapes purchased during our stroll through the castle town. Paired with wine we brought along, it made for a leisurely evening in a quiet environment without TV—perfect for unwinding from daily life. The provided tableware was also elegant; simply tossing fruits and cheese we brought with olive oil and salt available at the accommodation created an effortlessly chic dish. The facilities were excellent—the bathtub allowed for stretching out comfortably; toilets and sinks were available on both floors; hairdryers were conveniently placed throughout—making preparations stress-free. If I may suggest one improvement: providing amenities such as cleansing products, face wash, or lotion would be appreciated. There are no convenience stores within walking distance and shops close early in the area. It’s advisable to prepare your shopping beforehand. However, this slight inconvenience added to escaping daily busyness and enjoying simple yet extraordinary moments. The staff were incredibly kind and offered various suggestions for how to spend our second day or places to visit nearby—making it an enriching experience overall. Tamba Sasayama is filled with delicious food alongside its serene townscape and warm-hearted people—a truly wonderful place. This is an accommodation I’d love to stay at repeatedly—a perfect base for exploring Tamba Sasayama! Thank you for such a lovely time—I’ll definitely return!

It was my first time renting an entire property, and unlike a Ryokan or Hotel, I could enjoy my stay without worrying about noise. The kitchen and bathroom were clean, spacious, and comfortable. I didn't use the garden, but having the option for BBQ is definitely appealing. There was also a projector available; however, the sound system was average—perhaps that's just me being picky. Thanks to IKYU's special offers, it was very reasonable. I would love to stay again!
