From parking to departure, the hospitality was attentive throughout, and I had a wonderful stay. Thank you for preparing everything so thoughtfully. I would love to stay again.

We stayed as a family of four. The location is excellent—close to the station end of Komachi-dori Shopping Street—making sightseeing and shopping very convenient. The Room is lovely, clean, stylish, and has a great atmosphere. My wife liked it so much she wished we could stay another night. The bed is spacious, and sleeping all four of us felt quite luxurious. The tableware is well stocked, so whether you cook or share takeout, everything works smoothly. You can also feel the owner’s thoughtfulness throughout, and the pre-stay support was thorough; overall, it’s an Accommodation where you can relax and enjoy your time in Kamakura with peace of mind. We’d love to stay here again when we return to Kamakura.

The Room was spacious with high ceilings, and we could see the forest from the window. The windows were large too, giving it an amazing open feel! The welcome daifuku (handmade by your daughter, I heard) was just as delicious as rumored—perfect since I was a little hungry. I was the first to use the bath, and the changing area was very spacious and extremely clean, so I could relax and enjoy it comfortably. Every meal was made with such care and tasted wonderful! I ended up having three glasses of wine. I was traveling solo, but the host and hostess kindly chatted with me, which made dinner truly enjoyable. Even though it was my first visit, they treated me no differently from regular guests, which genuinely made me happy. Unexpectedly, I came down with severe muscle soreness from hiking downhill, and they prepared cold patches, Tiger Balm, and even magnesium for me. Thanks to that, I didn’t need to go to a pharmacy—and by the day I left, going up and down stairs had become much easier. I’m truly grateful for such a warm welcome. I will definitely come again! Next time, I’d love to try your hamburger as well! Lastly, the peach tart served two nights in a row was incredible! You said it was handmade from the crust up—the buttery pastry really stood out, and there were two kinds of cream inside the peaches. It was absolutely delicious. It turned into a truly wonderful stay. I’ll be back again—thank you so much!!

This Hotel offers a beautiful contrast: sugarcane fields right in front, and beyond them the Miyako Blue sea with Irabu Bridge in view. From the 2nd floor we could see the ocean, but I don’t think it’s visible from the 1st floor. The Room is a 10-tatami-size studio. The toilet and bath are separate, and the bathtub is spacious, so it feels comfortable to stay in. There were twin beds and a sofa, and amenities such as a refrigerator, kettle, and hair dryer were provided. The only thing missing was pajamas. The location is between a residential area and sugarcane fields. The roads are narrow and winding, so without navigation—especially at night when it’s very dark—you may not be able to find it. I recommend setting your GPS before you go! Recommended for solo travelers or two friends who want to keep costs down while still enjoying a comfortable stay at a Hotel. As is common in Miyako/Okinawa, small insects may get into the Room sometimes—it’s probably unavoidable. It’s about a 10-minute drive from the Hotel to Hirara downtown. About a 20-minute walk to the nearest supermarket around the Hotel! There were several restaurants/cafes along the road in front of the Hotel. A rental car is likely best. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the sea where you can overlook Irabu Bridge.

Set in a quiet forest, it was wonderful to be able to enjoy a truly out-of-the-ordinary stay. The café that also serves as the management office was incredibly stylish—absolutely amazing. Next time, I’d love to try the spinach curry at the café! When I mentioned we were going to Ueda Castle the next day, you shared lots of helpful information, and we were able to see the moat at Ueda High School as well. Thank you very much. We’ll be back. We did not use the bath.

We visited with five families of friends. We were very satisfied. Both the fire-starting experience and stargazing became wonderful memories.

Thank you for taking care of us during our visit home to see family. 　 When I made the Reservation, I didn’t know there would be a fireworks festival on our stay date. After realizing it the day before, I called to ask about traffic restrictions. You explained everything very kindly and thoroughly, which allowed us to head there with peace of mind. 　 At check-in, you clearly explained how to use the parking area and the Facility, and also gave us helpful advice related to the fireworks festival. Your service was truly pleasant. In addition, I accidentally left my car key at the counter, but you went out of your way to find it and bring it back to me later—thank you very much. 　 The Room was spacious and well maintained, so we were able to relax comfortably. However, since this is a pension-style Accommodation, soundproofing is somewhat limited. We could hear children from a family staying upstairs running around. As it didn’t quiet down even after the designated time (10:00 PM), I informed a staff member; after a while the footsteps stopped, so I believe you took some kind of action. 　 The location is convenient: there’s a 24-hour supermarket nearby as well as public baths and restaurants, so even with No Meals Included we had no trouble at all. Cooking utensils, tableware, and an IH cooktop are fully provided too, so self-catering is easy. 　 Shirarahama Beach is about a 5-minute walk away, making it easy to go swimming in the sea. We were also able to watch the fireworks up close that day and were very satisfied. 　 This was an Accommodation I’d like to use again when I have another chance. Thank you!

I booked the day before and stayed here. It’s a Hotel with a rental-room concept. Everything was very clean, and I was able to stay with zero stress. It’s in a great location right in Kanazawa’s downtown area, very affordable, and my girlfriend was extremely satisfied as well. I have a feeling it will become popular soon and harder to get a Reservation.

Although we didn’t have a chance to use it this time, the kitchen had a hot plate and plenty of tableware, so it seemed easy to cook a variety of meals if you bring your own ingredients. The Room had a calm log-cabin feel with warm wood throughout, and it was clean and well maintained, making it very relaxing. The owner was friendly and gentle; even though we chose No Meals Included this time, they shared lots of recommendations for nearby spots. Since there aren’t any places to eat close by, we plan to book a meal plan next time.

My wife and I stayed here together. For the past five years or so, we’ve been traveling out of the prefecture about once every month or two. We’re not the type to spend a lot on where we stay. New chain Hotels aren’t bad, but sometimes the cleaning isn’t thorough or the service feels a bit careless. This time, I thought it might be nice to stay at a slightly older Hotel, so we chose Business Hotel Katsuya. The Room (Japanese-style with a unit bath) and the shared bathhouse are a bit dated, but they are very well maintained, so we had a comfortable stay. The staff were courteous, and breakfast was delicious Japanese food (rice, salted grilled salmon, ham and salad, pickles, seasoned nori seaweed, egg tofu, small side dish with vinegar dressing, and miso soup). Coffee was also included as self-service, which we appreciated. Thanks to that, we were able to start the next morning feeling refreshed and enjoy sightseeing all day. I’d like to stay here again when traveling to Wakayama.

We stayed here for a family trip. This Accommodation is located in a small port town and has been beautifully renovated, with warm wooden touches and stylish, coordinated furniture and appliances. The futons were Airweave and very comfortable to sleep on. The toilet and shower room were also clean and well designed, making them comfortable to use. There was an outdoor space to hang swimsuits and other items, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was soup and bread—just the right amount. We were told the soup uses local vegetables. The parking entrance is quite steep, so cars with lowered suspension may scrape. Overall, it made for a great Izu trip, and it’s an Accommodation we’d like to visit again.

I stayed the night before to catch an early morning flight from Kansai International Airport. The Hotel was very clean, close to the station, and there were plenty of places to eat around it, so it was really convenient. The rate was also very affordable, perhaps because it was a weekday—I almost felt bad paying so little. I’d love to stay again next time. Thank you very much.

The Ryokan staff were very attentive, and the food was excellent. I would love to stay again if I have the opportunity.

I was originally planning to stay late at night after the concert, but it was postponed due to the earthquake. Since I was able to check in earlier than planned, I really enjoyed the bath, relaxation room, and more. I also had dinner at the restaurant on the 3rd floor—very tasty and generously portioned. I booked a body scrub as well and felt completely refreshed. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful, from the front desk staff at check-in to the restaurant team and the body scrub staff. At the moment, it seems Reservations can’t be made online due to the aftermath of the earthquake, but I’d love to visit again once things settle down. Thank you for a wonderful summer memory.

I stayed for one night and two days with my dog. The staff kindly explained how to use the Facility, such as the shower and stove, so I was able to spend my time comfortably without any inconvenience. I think it would be enjoyable in a different atmosphere in another season as well. Thank you very much.

We planned this trip to visit a restaurant that is only open on weekends and public holidays. While looking for a nearby Ryokan, we noticed the radon bath and “Arashi no Yu,” and decided to stay here. We made a Reservation for three adults on the standard course. Dinner was generous, with simmered local fish, grilled dishes, tempura, and more. The simmered flounder was especially delicious with white rice. Breakfast was also classic Japanese—grilled fish, vinegared dishes, kinpira, and more. The white rice paired perfectly with everything. “Arashi no Yu” is different from both a stone spa and a sauna. Lying down on the floor covered with small stones made us sweat heavily; sweat poured out from our pores and left our skin smooth. Unlike a typical stone spa, the pebbles provide comfortable cushioning so you can lie down easily. In the radon bath area, the bathing room and tub are separated so the steam collects around the tub. We kept sweating even while soaking, and even after getting out we stayed warm for a long time. Both “Arashi no Yu” and the radon bath can make you feel very tired at first, but we slept deeply until morning and enjoyed truly restful sleep. Smooth skin, warm body, refreshed awakening—our fatigue melted away. It felt like toxins were released along with the sweat! The proprietress recommended karaoke after dinner; singing on a stage with full sound equipment was great fun. The staff’s thoughtful attention to detail was excellent throughout. This is a Ryokan we would love to stay at again next time. The restaurant we came for was 5 minutes away by car; we were able to get an early number ticket and enjoy lunch without any trouble.

We stayed as three families and booked three villas. Each villa had a lovely Room, and we had a very comfortable stay. The complimentary drinks and snacks at the management building were also a nice touch. Since it was still a bit early for ocean activities, we brought our own fishing gear and relaxed. The staff kindly arranged the setup so all three families could dine together, and we had a great time sharing BBQ, bouillabaisse, and sushi. We were worried dinner might not be enough, so we bought extra meat beforehand, but it turned out to be more than enough—everything was delicious. The clam miso soup served with the sushi was especially outstanding. Breakfast was also stylish, with bagels as the main item on the plate, and it tasted great. However, for children who don’t like bagels or for my father who has dental issues, they were too hard to eat—so it would be nice to have a choice of several options such as croissants or French toast. The yogurt was plain with no sweetness, so fruit yogurt or jam served on the side would be appreciated. The Room was comfortable overall, and both the beds and futons felt wonderful. One small inconvenience was that there wasn’t a place to hang bath towels; having one behind the sink would be helpful. There were hangers and a rack, but once we hung jackets and clothes it was full. Since swimwear is required in Rooms with an outdoor bath, I think additional hangers and space to dry wet swimsuits are necessary. I’ve noted some points here, but overall this was an excellent Accommodation and we would love to visit again. All staff members were kind and responded thoughtfully to our requests. A wonderful place with a full resort feel and an ideal scale. I’m excited about the planned redevelopment—this one-of-a-kind Hotel is where I stay every year.

A favorite place we keep returning to as a family. It feels like going back home. We love the food and the warm personalities of the owners. This time, we stayed to celebrate our second daughter's birthday, and the owner kindly joined in the celebration, which made our daughter very happy. Thank you so much, and we will visit again!

We stayed in both the West and East rooms as a three-generation family. The historic building has been renovated with modern facilities, making it very comfortable. Thanks to the detailed guidance provided the day before, we were able to arrive without any worries. This was especially helpful as there is a parking lot just before the entrance, which can be tricky to find due to the busy pathway filled with people. My parents, who are nearly 80 years old, used handrails for going up and down the stairs but mentioned they had a comfortable stay. The staff were all very kind and accommodating; they helped us by making a reservation at "Bone-in Chicken Tanaka" for dinner upon request and provided information about taking a taxi to Daimon when we expressed concerns about my parents' mobility. Thanks to their support, my parents could visit Hongu Shrine while we made it all the way to Okunoin Temple—a truly memorable experience!
