Japanese-style double Room with breakfast and dinner included. I also requested a pick-up from Yamagata Station. On the way back, I took the bus to Yamagata Station from the Zao Onsen Bus Terminal, just a few minutes’ walk away. I arrived early, but was able to leave my luggage and explore freely. The staff member who assisted me felt unexpectedly curt, which seemed different from the Reviews. The person who showed me to my Room also didn’t seem to notice a fairly large dead insect right by the door when it was opened. That was disappointing. I was very satisfied with the Room, meals, and baths. The entire building is covered with tatami mats and you take off your shoes, which feels great, and everything was well maintained. All staff were pleasant in both their service and greetings. Since the baths switch between men and women, you can use both areas; I enjoyed the warm feel of wood and traditional atmosphere. Some Reviews said it was small, but as a woman I didn’t find it cramped since there weren’t too many people using it at once. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious—I finished everything. The Yamagata beef shabu-shabu was truly excellent. There is a portable air conditioner in the Room (I think), but because its duct runs out through the window, the top of the window doesn’t close completely tight; I couldn’t help noticing that gap. I saw a similar setup in the lounge as well, so I assumed it’s installed as a measure against summer heat. There is no elevator—only stairs—which I actually liked very much. Around this time of year we could hear spring cicadas (maybe), which was soothing. From the entrance you can see a gentle slope leading down to the main road, along with steam rising from the Onsen—an impressive location. It’s a small but comfortable Accommodation with a warm atmosphere—thank you very much.

We stayed here with our daughters during summer vacation. Despite the reasonable price, the hospitality was outstanding. Dinner was served in a private room so we could relax, and the large public bath was clean and truly soothing. Breakfast was a buffet, and everything we tried was delicious—such a fun experience. This is an Accommodation that makes you want to come back regularly to unwind.

Whenever I travel to Sapporo, this is the first hotel I search for. The location is perfect—close to Sapporo Station and Odori Park—and having breakfast at the Doutor next door is a real highlight. I’d love to stay here again—hope there’s availability!

As on my previous stay, both the breakfast and the room were excellent, and I had a very pleasant experience. I stayed here to attend a study session at a nearby facility, and I was able to get a good night’s sleep, which was great. I would be happy to stay again if I have the opportunity.

The food was absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed a wonderful view of Lake Hamana, and were able to relax and have a peaceful stay. Thank you very much.

Very convenient, right in front of Sakurai Station. We stayed here to visit Hasedera Temple and Abe Monju-in on our way back from Osaka. We also planned to go to Horyu-ji afterward, so we used Sakurai Station, which is served by both Kintetsu and JR. The Room was more spacious than expected and very practical. The large public bath was also very clean. If I had one request, I would have liked mineral water in the Room.

I was very satisfied with both the Room and the service. I arrived by car and initially wondered if it would be inconvenient to park at the east exit even though the Hotel is at the west exit, but it turned out to be very convenient. Since I used the station when coming and going, it was easy to buy souvenirs or return extra luggage to my car smoothly. It was disappointing that guests cannot make a Reservation for parking (as the lot gets crowded on weekends, I thought it might be difficult to park again after leaving during a Multiple Night Stay), but I would like to stay here again next time.

On our summer trips each year, we always choose ibis Styles Sapporo as our regular Hotel. Every year at check-in, being welcomed by the front desk team’s smiles makes the fatigue of a long journey disappear. This year as well, thanks to your kind support via IKYU, you accommodated our requests, and we were able to spend quiet, relaxing time in a spacious Room. We sincerely appreciate your thoughtful consideration. While providing environmentally conscious services, you also respond pleasantly to guests’ detailed requests, and once again we truly felt how glad we were to stay with you this year. We would also be grateful if you could pass on our thanks to the parking staff and the cleaning staff; their support made our four-day stay wonderful. I chose the Japanese-style room because it was the most attractive option in terms of price compared with the other rooms at the time of booking. It was a spacious 10-tatami room on the top floor with a view down over the Shirakawa River, and it felt just like staying at a traditional hot spring inn. It would be perfect if there were a large public bath (there isn’t), but the in-room bathroom was very large and comfortable. I stayed multiple nights for work, and having only one futon set in such a large tatami room felt almost a bit lonely. One request: since there are no power outlets near where you lay out the futon, an extension cord would make this even better. Breakfast offers more than enough variety and is very high quality—and they also cook omelets to order. I liked it so much that I’ve already booked again for business trips in December and January. Next time I’ll try a Western-style room for comparison (laughs). If this Japanese-style room is offered at a reasonable price, I highly recommend it.

I usually stay at Itoen Group properties, but this time I tried staying here with a breakfast-included Plan! There are various shops nearby, so not having dinner included was no problem at all. I came by motorcycle, and it was raining quite heavily on the day of checkout, so when I told them I wanted to extend my stay, they looked into options and arranged it for me. The staff were very helpful, and I had a very satisfying stay. Next time, I’d like to try the Plan with dinner included.

To celebrate my 60th birthday and my mother’s 90th, the four of us—my mother and three sisters—stayed for one night. In the request box I wrote, “Do you have celebratory chanchanko vests we could use?” thinking it was a long shot, but when we entered the room they had been properly prepared for us. I was truly touched, as I assumed they were only available with a special celebration plan. We were driving around to various places, and due to my carelessness my sister accidentally caught her finger in the car door. We couldn’t find a pharmacy, and even the convenience store didn’t have what we needed, so we were at a loss. When I consulted a male staff member at the front desk, he responded immediately and it was a huge help. Thanks to his quick first aid, the swelling seemed to go down considerably by the next day. Thank you very much. Everything at the buffet was delicious, and my mother—who doesn’t usually eat much—kept saying how good it was. When we asked staff at the venue to take photos, they kindly did so without hesitation, and everyone else was also very considerate. The staff member I met in the large public bath was friendly as well, and the water temperature was just perfect—it felt wonderful. It was two memorable days for us. Thank you again for everything.

I was looking for a hot spring inn in the Tohoku region for Silver Week, but there were hardly any vacancies. I happened to find an opening here and stayed for one night. The reviews were great so I arrived with high expectations, and it exceeded them! - There aren’t many guest rooms, and the atmosphere was calm, so I could relax and unwind. - The room was very spacious and spotless. - Dinner was delicious—especially the Fukushima beef tataki and the jade tofu, which were outstanding. - The female staff member who assisted us at dinner was exceptional (the best service I’ve ever experienced). - Overall, it felt like an incredible value for the price. We booked on short notice to celebrate my mother’s 77th birthday, and it became a wonderful memory. I’d love to visit again!

As this is a No Meals Included plan, no meals are provided. The Onsen and bath are in a unit bathroom. The guest rooms are designed with no wasted space, minimizing dead space. Since it was summer in Sapporo, opening the window let in a pleasant breeze and was comfortable. The location is convenient and close to the downtown area, so you won’t have trouble finding places to eat or drink.

We were lucky enough to stay here during a holiday weekend. Our tent was on the sea side, with the Seto Inland Sea right below us. With clear skies, we relaxed while enjoying the view of Shodoshima across the water. You can cook your own ingredients using a loaned (free) stove, and they also provide cutlery and wet towels, so we had everything we needed. The staff came by and explained how to use everything as well. There is also an indoor area for activities, where you can play pickleball, badminton, table tennis, and more. Our first-year junior high school child was very satisfied too. In the evening, they set up a campfire for us, and we could roast and eat marshmallows. We will definitely be coming back.

My wife and I stayed here together. After arriving on Miyajima, we were taken to the Hotel by Iwaso’s Shuttle Service. The driver who picked us up was exceptional—polite, refined, and easy to talk with—and in that moment we knew we had made the right choice. The service at check-in and during dinner was also excellent, allowing us to spend a truly relaxing time on Itsukushima. Dinner was not only delicious; we also enjoyed chatting with the staff who served us. When I asked at check-in whether raw oysters were available, I was told they are difficult to offer this season—but we were lucky enough to have raw oysters served at dinner. The sashimi selection (sea bream, amberjack, and fatty tuna) was well balanced; Japanese dishes were paired with salsa sauce in an interesting way; and the sukiyaki portion was generous. We were very satisfied. The Room felt clean and well kept. There was a vanity sink by the window, letting in natural light, which made it bright and convenient to use. The large public bath had plenty of space between the washing area and the tub, and the spacious open-air bath was another highlight. The location is also very convenient: about a 3-minute walk to Itsukushima Shrine and 7–8 minutes to the ropeway station. They also arranged our night cruise to see the Great Torii gate and provided Shuttle Service to the pier, which was extremely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable hospitality of this long-established Ryokan as well as its elegant atmosphere throughout—including the corridors and landings. We would love to stay again.

We stayed as a family, and it far exceeded our expectations—one of the most memorable hotel stays we’ve had in Japan. During our stay, when our child suddenly developed a fever, the staff responded quickly with flexible, warm, and attentive care. Thanks to their heartfelt support, we were able to relax and stay comfortable with peace of mind. We are truly grateful. The cuisine was outstanding—light and gentle on the body while fully bringing out the natural flavors of each ingredient. We have visited well-regarded food-focused inns such as renowned auberges on Yakushima, and this delivered an equally satisfying experience. In fact, it was so impressive that it even outshone the prestigious resort we visited the day before—the one known for its lion crest. We booked an entry-level room, but it was more than spacious enough and very comfortable thanks to its refined layout with no wasted space. The ocean-view jacuzzi on the terrace in particular felt wonderfully open and relaxing. (Please note: the sea directly in front of the hotel is not a location where you can simply walk in and swim/play right away, so those planning a trip centered around beach activities may want to keep this in mind.) We regularly visit many different styles of resorts both in Japan and abroad, but one night here felt far too short. It’s a place that makes us want to return every year—and ideally stay for several nights at a leisurely pace. When we visit Okinawa again, we will definitely return. It was excellent! The location is perfect, and there’s a FamilyMart on the first floor. In the morning, I thought it would be self-service, but the staff kindly prepared both a smoothie and coffee for us. Both were delicious, and we really appreciated it. I’d love to stay here again when visiting Tokyo. Thank you very much.

The issues in the room that I pointed out last time had been resolved. I was relieved to see that they were addressed promptly. I would like to stay here again.
