We stayed here as a couple during Golden Week. Above all, we were truly impressed by how wonderful the meals were. Luxurious ingredients you can only enjoy here—such as Kesennuma’s famous shark fin and shark—were served, and everything was delicious. We were moved by each and every dish. We’re originally from Shikoku and regularly enjoy fresh seafood, but the abalone sashimi and oysters in particular were exceptional—an unforgettable taste. The Accommodation was spotless throughout, and the garden was beautifully maintained, making our stay very comfortable. At breakfast, you kindly shared various stories about Oshima, and when we left, everyone waved to us until we were out of sight. Your warm hospitality left us feeling genuinely touched. This is a lovely Accommodation where you can truly relax, and it will stay with us for a long time. We took walks around the area in both the morning and evening, and found great comfort in the birdsong, the star-filled sky, the clear air, and the unhurried island pace of life. Within walking distance is Jūhachi Naruhama Beach (designated a Natural Monument), well worth a visit. (It’s a mysterious beach that makes a squeaking sound when you walk on it.) Our only regret is that we arrived just in time for check-in this trip and left early in the morning. Since we live far away we can’t visit often, but next time we would love to stay longer at a more relaxed pace. Thank you very much to everyone at the Accommodation!

During this Go To Travel campaign, I stayed at about 13 properties, and the meals here were the best—just as you’d expect from a kaiseki Ryokan. Everyone should visit at least once.

Stayed on a weekday before the Obon holiday in August with the most affordable plan for 4 people. Despite some initial concerns, it was excellent value for money and an incredibly satisfying stay. The room was about 12 tatami mats in size, with a spacious hallway entrance and a wide sitting area by the window overlooking trees, comfortably seating four people. The bathroom had two sinks, and while there was a toilet in the room, there were also toilets located throughout the hallways and other areas. The bath was spacious with slightly sulfur-scented Onsen water that left my skin feeling smooth. Meals were served at tables in a large tatami-floored dining area. There was a menu provided along with explanations from staff members. While not extravagant, the dishes were creative and deliciously satisfying. For those wanting more luxurious options like beef or crab dishes, upgrading to another plan might be better suited. Tea and water were self-serve but made using tea leaves rather than tea bags, which made it taste better; even the water itself tasted great! After check-in, our luggage was carried to our room by staff who were kind and attentive throughout our stay. The building itself is impressive yet simple in design—clean with quick elevator access—and we enjoyed relaxing without any crowds at the baths or elsewhere around the Ryokan grounds. The road leading to this Ryokan wasn’t narrow either! One thing to note: they provide yukata robes but only one Onsen towel besides bath towels; so bringing your own pajamas or face towels might be helpful (especially if you find sleeping in yukata uncomfortable like I do). Would love to visit again!

Close to Dotonbori, quiet, and in a prime location! Separate toilet and bathroom at an unbeatable price!

We stayed on the Couple Plan, and we truly appreciated several services that were not listed in the Plan details, which were extremely helpful for sightseeing in Kusatsu. Services not mentioned in the Plan details: - Shuttle Service to Yubatake after dinner - Free yukata rental - Drop-off to the terminal at check-out - Complimentary coffee, chocolates, and massage chairs in the lounge - Free ice cream in the freezer In addition, both breakfast and dinner were excellent, with great attention to detail throughout—from presentation and side dishes to cooking methods. If we visit Kusatsu again, we would definitely like to stay here again.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of two nights with breakfast included. Sometimes you get the same meals when staying multiple nights, but I was happy that the menu changed. There were many dishes and the portions were satisfying. The tableware was also lovely. The Ryokan has been renovated and both the exterior and interior are very clean. However, because the structure is an older wooden building, outside noise carries easily. More than voices, you can hear footsteps quite clearly. I stayed in a Room on the 2nd floor, and on the first night I could hear footsteps from upstairs until around 1:00 a.m., which was stressful. If you are sensitive to noise, it may be better to request a Room on the 3rd floor. When it rained, umbrellas and rain shoes were prepared at the entrance, so my feet didn’t get wet. Many people were walking outside in geta in the rain, but I was impressed by the rain-shoe service. The coffee, black tea, tea, and electrolyzed water service was also great. It felt like there were many younger staff members, but everyone was pleasant and helpful—and their English was fluent as well. It was a wonderful Ryokan where you can really feel attention to detail in everything from tableware and interior design to furniture and services. I would definitely like to stay again.

Stayed at the accommodation after visiting Tomioka Silk Mill. The cool night was refreshing and felt like another world, providing a relaxing experience. Had delightful conversations with the couple running the pension and enjoyed a wonderful time. Thank you very much!

Your thoughtful hospitality was wonderful, and we felt right at home! Everything we could have wanted was provided, so we were able to relax and enjoy our time freely without being tied to any plans. Thank you. Our two older children also had a great time with the manga and table games. The bathroom was spacious and very relaxing. Our daughter, who prefers showers, was happy she could quickly take a shower as well. Buu-chan the cat was absolutely adorable. We’d love to stay again. Thank you very much!

I was looking for a room with an open-air bath through online reservations, and among the many options I reviewed, this accommodation stood out as particularly appealing. This was my first time using your service. The online reservation process was smooth. Although the front desk was closed on the day of my stay due to it being a holiday for the ryokan, prior email communication allowed me to inquire and receive polite responses. While I felt that quicker response times would have been even better, I truly appreciated the courteous support. Upon arrival at the accommodation, it exceeded my expectations based on the images I had seen. The room had already been pre-cooled with air conditioning to ensure comfort upon entry. The ambiance of the room was excellent, and attention to detail in its design stood out. The bathroom featured both a regular shower and a ceiling shower, while amenities like shampoo had pleasant fragrances. The provided loungewear for relaxing in-room had a nice texture against the skin. However, I found that using the sink area together with another person felt slightly cramped, and similarly, the toilet space felt a bit tight. The raised tatami area in our guestroom was superbly crafted. If I visit this area again or have friends looking for recommendations, I will definitely suggest this place—and would love to stay here myself once more. The breathtaking ocean view was incredible, and we enjoyed a luxurious time that felt like having the sea of Atami all to ourselves. The modern, calming space was also exceptional. It was a special Accommodation we would love to visit again with our cherished family.

I stayed here during the Obon holiday. I came thinking, “The view looks nice, and as long as I can sleep well, that’s enough,” but in the best way possible, my expectations were completely exceeded. This time I stayed in a Japanese-style room before the renovation, and it felt very clean. The futon was fluffy, and above all, the view from the window was amazing. The Onsen wasn’t overly large and had a calm, relaxing atmosphere, so I was able to unwind at a leisurely pace. Most memorable of all was the warm hospitality from the wonderful owner couple and all of the staff. Of course the Accommodation itself is very comfortable, but I think what makes you want to come back is this kind of genuine warmth from people. On top of that, at check-out there was an exclusive service for guests: a photo shoot by the owner, who is also a professional photographer! The beautiful photo data were later sent by email as well—it became an unexpected and very happy memory. I also heard they are continuing to renovate parts of the building little by little even now, so it’s exciting to see how it changes with each visit. I’m really looking forward to seeing what kind of Accommodation it will become in the future. Even though I went planning “just to stay overnight,” I came home with wonderful memories—including the scenery, the Onsen, and meeting such kind people. I would definitely love to visit again. *This isn’t directly related to Hotel services, but please note that the entrance from the street can be a bit hard to find, and some parts of the road leading up to this Accommodation are narrow. If you’re coming by car, it may help to drive carefully on your way here.*

Being a public accommodation, the price for two meals included is exceptional. The food is delicious, and you can enjoy a beautiful sunset nearby, making it very satisfying. Next time, I look forward to enjoying the restored onsen and staying here again.

To drive along National Route 252 by the Tadami Line, I made a Reservation at this Accommodation in Aizu-Yanaizu, the gateway town. At first, only the No Meals Included Plan was available, but after calling to confirm eligibility for Fukushima travel support discounts, they kindly changed it to a Plan with both dinner and breakfast. The location is excellent in central Yanaizu, and you can park across the street at a free public parking lot. On arrival in the lobby, I was welcomed with an iced coffee welcome drink, and arranging a time for the private open-air bath as well as meal times went smoothly. My Room was a 6-tatami Japanese-style room on the third floor (no elevator). It was more than spacious enough for one person, very clean, and equipped with a sink and refrigerator. The toilet is shared (separate men’s/women’s) on the same floor. For Onsen bathing, there is a private rooftop open-air bath and separate men’s/women’s indoor baths on the fourth floor. The open-air bath feels handmade and doesn’t offer much of a view, but what truly impressed me was the indoor bath: fresh water continuously overflowing from the source (free-flowing), a cloudy sodium chloride spring with abundant volume at just the right temperature—far better quality than expected. Dinner is served at a modern soba restaurant created by renovating a storehouse behind the Accommodation. The main Sarashina soba had great texture and was excellent overall, including the warm chicken-and-burdock dipping broth. That said, it was disappointing that the appetizer tempura had gone cold, and I felt that adding something local such as basashi (horse sashimi) would make it even more satisfying. In that case, choosing No Meals Included and ordering freely from the restaurant menu could also be a good option. Breakfast is prepared in a private room next to the lobby; along with juice or soup, you receive a plate centered on bread and rice. Service is attentive, though opinions may differ on value for money depending on expectations. At 11,000 yen at full price it invites comparison with nearby Accommodations around here; however after discounts my satisfaction level was more than adequate. Above all else،the cleanliness throughout иandthe owner’s sincere、warm hospitality were outstanding—an Accommodation I can recommend even to Tadami Line travelers without а car.

Great value and satisfying meals even during the Obon holiday period. A Hotel I can recommend. The bath amenities were plentiful, but it was a shame it wasn’t an Onsen—still, the water was very nice.

This was my first trip to Sado. It was a very homey Accommodation, and the meals were lavish and delicious—I was very satisfied. The welcome drumming by the grandchildren was adorable, and it made me very happy! It’s not easy for me to make it all the way to Sado, but this is an Accommodation I’d love to visit again if I get the chance!

I stayed in a private Room with an ocean view. The Room was spacious, and the entire building is clean and well maintained. There is a bath with a bathtub, separated for men and women. There are washing machines (I think there were three) and one dryer. Detergent is free. There are also plenty of items for drying clothes in your Room. Amenities are well stocked. The Room has a microwave, refrigerator, and tableware. I stayed at several Accommodations on Tanegashima, but this was the most comfortable one. Check-in and check-out are done via tablet, so you generally won’t meet any staff in person. You will receive a link in advance to register as a guest; once registered, you’ll be sent the entrance door PIN code. If you can’t receive SMS messages or haven’t received an email, please contact the Accommodation to confirm the guest registration website. I would like to stay here again when I visit Tanegashima. This is a new and clean Room. Parking is conveniently located right in front of the guest Room. A supermarket, convenience store, and dining options are nearby for added convenience.

The room was beautifully renovated, preserving the charm of a traditional old house while adding modern comforts.

After a long drive, I soaked in the Onsen right away. It eased my fatigue, and I was able to sleep soundly after drinking some local craft beer I bought at a roadside station. Breakfast was lavish, and the clam miso soup was especially delicious. However, I found the second-floor restroom door inconvenient to open and close. I hope it can be improved as soon as possible.

I stayed alone in a cottage, and for this price, the Room, meals, and Onsen were all excellent. The kiln-baked dish was especially delicious. The staff were very kind, the Room was clean, and I was able to relax in nature. In the morning, it wasn’t a large bath but a smaller one; it was also clean and comfortable.
