I chose this Hotel because Reviews said the breakfast was delicious. The Hotel had a wonderful atmosphere, and the Room was clean. They also provided cleansing oil and toner, and the shower had a Mirable, which left my hair and skin feeling great—I was very happy. There was a wide variety of breakfast options, and everything was delicious. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

We stayed for two nights in late August on a family trip. On the first night, I became unwell (likely heat exhaustion due to Kyoto’s climate and lack of sleep), and you kindly adjusted how dinner was served. You also prepared an ice pack and cold water, and all the staff offered warm words afterward as well—I truly caused you a lot of trouble. The next day we returned to the Accommodation early after sightseeing, but housekeeping was completed quickly and the Room was restored to a comfortable state. Our child had brought a favorite stuffed toy, and seeing it seated on the sofa warmed our hearts. I was also impressed that all staff had shared information such as my avoiding caffeine and our child’s preferences, and handled everything so naturally with thoughtful care. The timing of your check-ins and sense of distance were just right, and we experienced truly wonderful hospitality. We used the Room as a family of three (our child is in 6th grade), and it felt neither too large nor too small. Having a bath in the Room was especially nice because we could use it whenever we wanted. The water temperature was set to 41°C, which feels hot in summer, but we could adjust it by adding water. The changing area had floor heating, which helped prevent us from getting too chilled after bathing. Towels and water were replenished as well, so even if we sweated after bathing, it was great to be able to use clean towels and clothes. Also, there was a lovely fragrance the moment we entered the Room, with incense throughout the building—these scent touches made everything feel special and out of the ordinary. Every meal was truly delicious. Our child has many dislikes when it comes to seafood, but you accommodated this thoughtfully; plus, both days’ menus were different so we could enjoy variety. In particular, the charcoal-grilled style dishes along with Anto-jiru soup, takikomi gohan (seasoned rice), and Wakan 18 tea were excellent—our child loved them too. Breakfast also came with many rice accompaniments that were all delicious. The soups and dashi-based dishes especially felt very “Kyoto,” which we appreciated. Finally, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took care of us during our stay. We made wonderful memories in Kyoto thanks to you. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again as a family.

I stayed here on a solo trip by JR. Since the hotel is on a hill, I planned to take a taxi, but I heard you could walk from the park, so I decided to go on foot. I easily arrived at the front of the hotel using the inclined elevator for the first time. On my way back, I used the inclined elevator again and it was a short walk to Maiko Station. The hotel offers views of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, and you can even see the Ferris wheel on Awaji Island; at night, the illuminated scenery was very relaxing. The spa was located a little far from my room, but along the way I could see a well-maintained garden and the lit-up Akashi Kaikyo Bridge through the windows, so it didn’t feel far at all. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet while taking in the view outside. This has become one of my favorite hotels. I would definitely like to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary trip—our first visit to Sanriku since the earthquake. We were excited, wondering what kind of Hotel it would be, and were surprised to learn that members of the Imperial Family have stayed here! There were rows of photos displayed in front of the elevators on the lobby floor. Wondering what our Room would be like, we entered the one assigned to us—and right in front of us was a panoramic view of Jodogahama! We couldn’t help saying to each other, “What a great Room!” After taking in the view, we headed straight to the large public bath. It also had an open-air bath, and we enjoyed a relaxing soak. Since we had time before dinner, we spent it singing karaoke—by then we were nicely hungry. Dinner was a luxurious buffet, featuring live kitchen stations for nigiri sushi and steak—our first time experiencing that. There were also many local dishes, and we ended up far beyond full. We had breakfast early at 6:30: a buffet seafood rice bowl where you can choose your favorite toppings. Although it was unfortunately raining outside, the sea view had an atmospheric beauty like an ink painting. It became a truly memorable anniversary trip. As we left the Hotel, we talked about wanting to come back again for another anniversary in a few years’ time. Finally, thank you so much to all the staff for your wonderful hospitality!

The meals were delicious, the room was clean, and baby food was available, so it was a wonderful ryokan! We’d love to stay again when we travel to Shiga!

This was our fifth stay at UMI, and this time my spouse and I were able to relax and enjoy some delicious drinks on our own, without our children, who are now in their third year of working. Thank you for the towel with the Kaze no Kaori logo to commemorate our fifth visit. The dried horse mackerel for breakfast was as delicious as always, so we bought five to take home. Our children also said they would like to visit UMI again, so we plan to return next March as a family of four. We look forward to seeing all the staff again.

The Koshihikari rice tasting was very satisfying for both of us. The Hotel-made bread was also delicious and just as good as the rice. Although the Room felt a bit dated, it was very clean and well maintained. Thank you very much for your hospitality. We had a wonderful time.

There is an Onsen with an open-air bath on the top floor of a high-rise building right next to Oita Station, offering a panoramic view of the city. Breakfast was delicious, and the buffet with a boxed set allowed me to choose my portion size while enjoying locally sourced ingredients and regional dishes. The Room size was average, but it was clean and well maintained. This time I traveled solo, but next time I’d like to come with my family.

This was our 50th stay at last. We always look forward to visiting—for the delicious meals, the warm smiles of the familiar staff, and the hot springs. Staying at Minakami Sanso helps us unwind from everyday fatigue. Thank you as always. We’re looking forward to our next reservation as well. Best regards.

I wanted to invite my mentor, who has supported me for many years, to my absolute favorite Accommodation, and we had a wonderful stay. A Room with a beautiful ocean view through large windows, a spacious open-air bath where you can truly relax, carefully prepared and delicious meals, and the thoughtful hospitality of all the staff—everything was outstanding. They were completely satisfied and deeply impressed, and I am truly grateful that I invited them. No matter when you visit or whom you bring along, this is an Accommodation you can trust without hesitation.

We stayed for three nights. Although it’s a new Hotel and not particularly spacious, we had a very comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the lighting could be adjusted in three levels, which was convenient. The air conditioning worked well throughout the entire Room, making it pleasant. The TV was also large, and we were able to fully enjoy watching sports. When we arrived before check-in, the staff kindly stored our luggage with a smile, which we really appreciated. The Room was kept very clean, and amenities and supplies were replenished perfectly. Our whole family was completely satisfied in every way. We will definitely stay again.

I visit Fukuoka often, but this was my first time staying here. The Plan was reasonably priced, and the location in front of Hakata Station was very convenient. Although it was a single Room, it had been renovated and was clean, so I had a very comfortable stay. The amenities were well stocked and really helpful. The lobby staff were also excellent. With more foreign-owned Hotels increasing these days, I was reminded once again how pleasant and wonderful the attentive hospitality and service unique to Japanese city Hotels can be. I would like to stay here again.

We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath during Silver Week. The Room was on the 2nd floor of the annex, and it was just the right size, clean, and well maintained, so we were able to relax in the in-room open-air bath. Dinner was a special kaiseki course and everything was delicious, and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes—especially the thick-cut tuna sashimi and sweet shrimp, which were very fresh and tasty. If we visit Suwa again, this is a Hotel we would like to stay at again.

The in-room hot spring bath was free-flowing and wonderfully relaxing. The meals were very satisfying, and the staff were excellent, making our stay truly enjoyable. A few minor points we noticed are as follows: - It was described as a twin room, but strictly speaking it wasn’t two beds; instead, mattresses were laid out on a raised tatami area, which was a bit confusing at first. - We arrived by car, but the location of the inn’s entrance and parking lot, as well as directions from the parking area, were somewhat hard to understand. - If possible, we would have appreciated an 11:00 checkout instead of 10:00. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay. If we have the opportunity, we would definitely like to return. Thank you very much.

We stayed as a family of four to celebrate my parents’ Respect for the Aged Day and birthdays. We have visited several times, and the views from both the guest rooms and the open-air bath are outstanding. From this hilltop hotel you can overlook the sea, and at dinner you can watch the sun set from the restaurant. Dinner was delicious, with each dish served one by one, and there was also a buffet where we could enjoy as much salad, tempura, and dessert as we liked. At breakfast, we always look forward to the freshly made rice balls (onigiri), and this time too we had fun deciding which fillings to choose. We used the baths twice—morning and evening. The view from the open-air bath is truly refreshing; it makes you want to stay in forever. All of the staff were warm and courteous as always, and they took great care of us again. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

This long-established Ryokan had a calm atmosphere, and the garden was wonderful. Most notably, the in-room rock bath was so spacious that it felt almost too much for our family of three, and with free-flowing hot spring water straight from the source, we lost count of how many times we soaked. The meals were also carefully prepared; everything was delicious, especially the tasty rice—so good that our son, who usually never asks for seconds, did. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

When I mentioned in advance that we would be staying to celebrate a birthday, they prepared balloons and a congratulatory message in our Room, which truly moved us. They also kindly offered complimentary use of the private bath, so we were able to enjoy a very relaxing bathing time. We were also happy to receive a dessert plate at dinner. For the children, there was a fireworks set, a cute amenities set, gifts for answering quiz questions, and festival-style activities such as target shooting and string-pulling games. There was also self-serve shaved ice where you could adjust the portion size yourself, which was great. At the pool, there were free self-serve rentals of float rings and water guns as well, so we had a lot of fun. There was so much to enjoy that our child was absolutely delighted. We chose the breakfast and dinner buffet options. At dinner there was a live kitchen with hand-rolled sushi and steak (I think), and everything was very delicious. The value for money felt unbelievably good. We went right when service started, so it was probably mostly Japanese guests at first and only moderately busy; however, it gradually became more crowded as more international guests arrived. I think going earlier is more comfortable. The sea bream and tuna sushi were outstanding, and there were also sashimi offerings separately—since we are a family that loves seafood, we really appreciated it. If I had to mention areas for improvement: There was dust under the beds in our Room. Our child playfully reached under the bed and came out covered in dust, which was disappointing. Also (though this may be unavoidable due to the layout), the pool is not connected directly to the large public bath area; you have to move through indoor corridors within the building. After using the pool you need to change clothes before heading to the public bath area, which felt inconvenient—especially for families with children who likely want to bathe after swimming. Because coin laundry is free (and perhaps due to seasonal demand), there can be long waits. A notice said that if someone’s laundry cycle has finished, other guests may move it into a basket—but guests who hadn’t read it seemed startled that someone had moved their items without permission. I understood because I saw the notice myself, but it still didn’t feel great; I wondered if there might be another solution. Since it’s summer and free of charge—and everyone wants to use it—it may simply be inevitable. Overall, we were very satisfied. The value for money was so good that it almost made me wonder if everything was really okay! Thank you very much!

Everything—from the meals and the Room to the amenities and hospitality—was outstanding, and we were completely satisfied with our stay! The open-air Onsen bath in the Room was incredibly convenient, as we could soak anytime we liked, and it felt wonderfully luxurious. Also, because this Accommodation has only 10 Rooms, we rarely crossed paths with other guests at “Owl no Yu,” so we could relax and enjoy the Onsen as if it were private. The kaiseki dinner was exquisite across the board. In particular, the miso-glazed eggplant (dengaku) and steamed eel rice left a lasting impression—they were truly delicious. You could really tell each dish was prepared with great care, and we enjoyed every bite to the very end. Breakfast was also excellent. It was my first time trying Nanban natto, and I liked it so much I wished I could take some home. The rolled omelet was fluffy and delicious as well. From the cuisine and Onsen to the Room—and above all, the heartfelt service from all of the staff—this was a wonderful Accommodation that satisfied us in every way. If you’d like to unwind in an Onsen while enjoying a drink and spend a relaxing holiday forgetting everyday fatigue, this is exactly the right place. We would love to visit again!

Both dinner and breakfast (we chose the Japanese set) were perfectly seasoned and truly delicious. The conger eel fritters were especially outstanding. The after-bath ice cream, morning milk, and complimentary drinks were also plentiful, so we could enjoy them throughout the day. The amenities were well stocked as well—Sekkisei toner, emulsion, face wash, and cleansing products were provided, so there was no need to bring our own.

The hotel is comfortably pleasant and clean, so you can stay without any inconvenience. The breakfast is delicious, and the staff are wonderful. If you’re coming from another prefecture to visit Suminoe Boat Race Track, it’s an ideal choice. There are many great places to eat nearby, and it also has easy access to the subway, making it a very convenient hotel to use.
