I visited again for the first time in a while, and once again I was reminded how much I love this Accommodation—the Onsen suits my skin perfectly. This time, I stayed in the long-admired Hounenmushi. Surrounded by nature, I was able to enjoy the Onsen quietly and at a leisurely pace.\nThe staff were also extremely courteous, which helped me relax even more. They kindly allowed me to tour the new building as well; it was wonderful, and I’m definitely considering staying there next time.\nIf Reservations could also be made through IKYU, that would make me very happy.

I didn’t have very high expectations until we actually stayed, but we were extremely satisfied traveling with our toddler (1 year and 2 months old). All the necessary baby items were provided, and they even supplied diapers as a complimentary service. Safety guards were properly placed on table corners and other areas, and even things like remote controls were individually sealed in antibacterial film—thoughtful details that made us feel at ease. At first I wondered if the Room might be a bit small, but there was no wasted space. The futon area (raised platform), living space, and the outdoor open-air bath flowed seamlessly together. Because you can see into the Room while bathing, I could relax in the bath while keeping an eye on my sleeping child. The highlight of any trip is the food, and both dinner and breakfast were served in-room. Everything was delicious. Unlike many Ryokan breakfasts that are unnecessarily large and end up getting cold, ours was served warm with delicate flavors—we were truly satisfied. They also prepared child-friendly options such as softly cooked rice and a lightly seasoned clear soup. The meals were not only delicious but also safe for our child, so both parent and child could enjoy them. Our daughter doesn’t eat packaged toddler meals, but we could simply rinse pieces of grilled fish or simmered dishes from the adult meal in hot water before giving them to her—so we really appreciated being able to travel almost empty-handed. We would definitely stay again. I suspect most guests will return too, so it may become harder to get a Reservation. Highly recommended.

The Ryokan’s atmosphere, interior design, and our Room were all wonderful, making this a truly memorable birthday trip. Above all, the staff were exceptional—kindly checking in on us and even waving until we were out of sight when we left, which made us feel genuinely happy and welcomed. We would love to stay again.

Because of a sudden change of plans, we made a last-minute Reservation and stayed here, and it was far more enjoyable than we expected! In the lobby right by the entrance, there was a kids’ play area, board games, and a small complimentary ice cream service—our child was thrilled. Meals were buffet-style, with a wide variety of items stylishly displayed, which made dining fun. We were especially impressed by the many dishes featuring ingredients from Ibaraki. Even though our Reservation was last-minute, they handled food allergies very carefully—for example, providing us with a detailed list—which we really appreciated. Our Room had not been renovated, so we noticed a slight musty smell and some humidity. If we stay again, we would like to reserve a renovated Room. Overall, the staff were very kind and made our stay comfortable.

I stayed at this Onsen Accommodation for a Multiple Night Stay of two nights. Both breakfast and dinner were served in the same private dining room, and we had the same staff member each time, so we could enjoy our meals in a very relaxed and calm atmosphere. The food was excellent and very satisfying. However, there was no accommodation guidebook in the Room, so I would have appreciated having one.

It is located in a beautiful area surrounded by nature, just a short drive from the Blue Pond in Biei Town. We stayed in a two-story room with a Goemon bath in the garden. We relaxed in the bath and living room while enjoying the flowers blooming in the garden. The facilities such as the shower booth, kitchen, and air conditioning are new and easy to use. The room is also clean and well-maintained. Dinner at the restaurant was a cheese fondue course, which was very popular with the little children. The staff were also very kind.

It was a very beautiful place, the food was delicious, and we had a comfortable stay. If we had known earlier that the number of private baths differs between the lobby building and the Accommodation building, we could have enjoyed it even more.

We stayed as a family with my parents, daughter, and us as a couple. This was our second time experiencing the Machiya style, and the air conditioning allowed for comfortable temperature control in each room. We enjoyed meals and family time in the Japanese-style room on the first floor, watching TV and relaxing together. The breakfast delivery from Izusen was delicious. Please note that large vehicles cannot be parked on-site; nearby parking lots are recommended for those traveling by car. In autumn, the garden's autumn leaves must be stunning. Famous spots like Hyotei (known for its morning porridge), Nanzenji Temple, Heian Shrine, and Shoren-in Temple are within walking distance. A short stroll also reveals charming streets full of traditional atmosphere.

Right in front of Lake Kussharo—an unbeatable location. Rera is built diagonally in front of Fre, so you may be a bit aware of each other’s presence, and I did wonder what it would feel like if someone walked by while I was in the bath. The view from the second floor is simply stunning. The ingredients for the meals are luxurious and delicious, but unfortunately the wine selection didn’t match our taste (it would have been nice if at least the grape varieties were listed). Despite the overall great sense of style, there were some everyday-looking items like hand soap placed in the washroom, which slightly took away from the atmosphere. There was a faint damp smell on the towels, and the indoor slippers felt too ordinary—disposable ones might actually be better.

This is my several stay at this accommodation, and I always appreciate the excellent service at the front desk, making my stay pleasant. It is conveniently located near the station and has a convenience store nearby. I would love to stay at this hotel again.

This was my second stay, and it reminded me again how good this place is. The Room isn’t huge, but it’s easy to move around and very relaxing. The toilet has an automatic lid and automatic flushing, which is a big help for me since I have back issues. It’s also rare (and convenient) to have a sink inside the toilet area. The bathroom has a separate washing area, and the tub is spacious enough to soak comfortably. The pajamas are a two-piece set with a soft feel. What really earns high marks is the generous service: drinks, snacks, and bread are provided, and bringing items into the Room is also allowed. At other hotels, I end up having to stop by a convenience store just to make sure I have drinks—here there’s no need for that, which makes it much more relaxing. We don’t even need to add breakfast; bread and coffee are enough for us. However, it was disappointing that there were no croissants this time. I also didn’t know how to use the toaster, so it would be helpful if instructions were posted. And when I want tea, I’d appreciate a note explaining where to find hot water. Two years ago I wrote that I wished the TV could play YouTube, and I was happy to see that it can now. The staff’s service and smiles had improved compared with before. As always, the only inconvenience is that the space next to the sink is small. It’s close to Shinbashi Station as well, so it’s convenient not having to wait for a taxi. I think the Accommodation cost is reasonable compared with nearby hotels considering how good the service is. I hope these services won’t be discontinued because of inconsiderate guests. I’d like to stay again if I have another opportunity.

We made a Reservation at this Accommodation to visit the moss phlox at Chausuyama Highlands, and we were extremely satisfied. The buffet was delicious, and as a couple who loves alcohol, we were happy to enjoy drinks at reasonable prices and had a wonderful time. It would have been nice if smaller draft beer glasses were available. During the buffet, a staff member kindly told us that we might be able to see a herd of wild deer, and we actually got to see them. As expected of Kyukamura—nature at its best. We truly enjoyed the great outdoors and had a fantastic trip. Thank you very much.

We enjoyed the view of Mt. Aso from our Room, and the Onsen was very relaxing. Breakfast was also very lavish and delicious. Even though we checked in at 11:00 PM, we really appreciated how kindly you accommodated us. However, the staff did not seem very friendly (perhaps they are just reserved), so we would have been happier if they smiled more.

This Ryokan is in a charming, nostalgic old house, but the bath and shared toilets have been renovated and were very satisfactory. The meals were also excellent.

A great Accommodation. The bath and meals were excellent, and overall we were very satisfied. The service was also courteous. However, although the payment had been charged in advance by card, we were asked to pay again at reception due to a lack of confirmation, so I deducted one star. The view of the Pacific Ocean from the Room was beautiful, and it was wonderful to see the sunrise the next morning.

The meals were delicious, and the bath was pleasantly warm so I could soak for a long time. My skin felt silky smooth.

I had a comfortable sleep, and the breakfast was delicious. I will choose this accommodation again if I have the chance.

Next time I stay, I’d like to request dinner as well. Thank you very much.
