The Room isn’t new, but it’s clean, and the bathroom area has been renovated, making it very comfortable. The bedding was also great—there was a thick mattress placed under the futon, which really helped relieve my fatigue. I was worried that the open-air bath in the Room might attract a lot of insects due to the season, but perhaps thanks to some measures they’ve taken, none came into the bath area at all. Having the river right in front of us was very soothing. There is also a Kanazawa Loop Bus stop near the Accommodation, and a shared bicycle port next to the bus stop, which made sightseeing very convenient. Breakfast didn’t have a large number of items, but everything was delicious. Lastly, when my daughter suffered from heatstroke and we suddenly asked to change our breakfast time, they kindly accommodated us. They even prepared an assortment of fruit that wasn’t on the menu—thank you very much. I don’t often write Reviews so this may not be well written, but it was a truly wonderful Accommodation with kind staff. I hope this helps others as a reference.

From check-in to check-out, the hospitality was exceptional throughout our stay. Every in-room amenity featured a top-tier brand, and the attention to detail was evident in every aspect. From the Frette bedding and linens to the Bertrami pajamas, everything felt wonderfully soft and comfortable. After 5:00 p.m., we were also able to enjoy a maiko performance in the living room with a glass of champagne in hand—an unforgettable way to experience Kyoto culture.

There is an accommodation on the eastern hillside of the basin. Even if you call out from the greenery-surrounded entrance, it seems that the staff focused on cooking in the back cannot hear you. The surprised owner kindly carried my heavy luggage effortlessly to the second floor. The twin room on the second floor feels like staying in a friend's attic room, decorated with floral patterns. It is a bright room with a great view, offering a wide panorama of the Alps. The bathroom has no separate washing area and includes a toilet and bathtub together. Dinner starts precisely on time, featuring dishes made from handmade ingredients accompanied by detailed explanations—truly gourmet cuisine. At night, it’s quiet; only the sound of water flowing from a nearby stream can be heard. The night view of Azumino Plain combined with an expansive and clear sky full of stunning stars seen from the terrace is breathtaking. Morning also begins punctually. The terrace overlooking mountain ranges was very comfortable. Everything at this auberge seems to revolve around prioritizing cuisine, reflecting the passionate dedication of its owner-chef to their craft—it’s truly impressive!

Originally, we planned to visit Miyako Island, but due to a flight cancellation, we made a last-minute change to this accommodation. The disappointment of not being able to go to Miyako Island was completely overturned by this wonderful accommodation and the nearby sea! Despite our late-night check-in, we were warmly welcomed. The handmade bread served at breakfast was exquisite! It was beautifully presented, and my 4-year-old daughter was thrilled with the heart-shaped bread. Having baked bread for luxury hotels for many years, the quality of the dough and carefully selected ingredients were exceptional. We could choose our drinks; among them, the chai and mango juice were delicious. On our last day, everyone chose mango juice again. The room is a renovated traditional house with high ceilings featuring four bunk beds—perfect for providing a sense of privacy even for teenagers in their sensitive years. Each bed had stylish reading lights and outlets conveniently located for charging devices while lying down. Towels were replaced daily, trash was collected every day as well, allowing us to stay in cleanliness throughout our visit. The toilet and shower room were also spotless! The mist shower provided warm water that felt comforting on slightly chilly days—a thoughtful touch indeed! Cute towels hung daily at the sink added an extra delight. The interior design is stylishly curated; even household appliances are chosen without compromising aesthetics—truly impressive attention to detail! Particularly notable are the potted plants around the reception counter and tasteful tableware used during meals. Less than a one-minute walk from this accommodation leads you straight to the beach—a perfect spot where small children can enjoy activities like SUP boarding or snorkeling safely while playing with floaties in shallow waters close by coral reefs teeming with colorful fish species alongside crabs & hermit crabs living on rocks nearby delighted my daughter immensely! For shopping needs such as drinks or snacks (including delicious bento boxes), there’s a supermarket about 10 minutes away by car offering everything from island sandals & meats desserts fireworks souvenirs operating until 9 PM making it convenient avoiding trips into Naha city altogether! Next time around—we plan staying entirely within Nakijin village itself laughingly skipping excursions elsewhere altogether enjoying its serene charm uninterruptedly instead 😊 Lastly though unexpected mishaps occurred upon departure staff graciously handled situations kindly demonstrating immense patience generosity beyond words expressing gratitude wholeheartedly here once more including promptly mailing forgotten items back afterward too much appreciated indeed ❤️ My daughter fell head-over-heels loving black sugar peanuts brought home cherishing fond memories shared together thanks again sincerely wishing Nakijin remains tranquil unspoiled haven forever amidst growing popularity tourism developments ahead looking forward returning soon reconnecting warmly meantime best regards always till then 🌿

With a British-style exterior, the drinks available on the sofa at the front desk are soothing, and the dinner and breakfast are superb! The side vegetables have a deliciousness that cannot be tasted in the city, and each dish was very tasty. The room has a unit bath and is well-equipped with amenities, but there are several onsens nearby that I recommend. I was very satisfied with the very reasonable stay.

The only downside was the stairs (our dog is heavy, and we liked it so much that we’d love to bring an elderly family member next time), but this was a wonderful Accommodation that more than made up for it. The food was delicious (the Shizuoka oden was amazing), and there’s a great variety of alcohol—very generous! (and you can even drink from the morning). The amenities are stylish, and the nearby Onsen that guests can use for free was fantastic. The Room shower is also spacious, so even large dogs can feel comfortable. Oh, one more downside: the bed was a bit narrow. Other than that, we have no complaints at all. We’ll definitely be back!

A glamping facility where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Although they were cautious and could only be seen from a distance, we got to see adorable deer! Enjoying dinner while listening to the cute calls of deer, the sounds of night insects, and the crackling firewood was simply amazing! The portions were quite generous, so we couldn't finish all of the hot pot, which was a bit wasteful. However, it had a gentle flavor and was incredibly delicious. The chicken had a rich taste that paired perfectly with drinks! After dinner, we relaxed on the sofa with dessert in hand, chatting leisurely with friends and enjoying peaceful moments. Next time, I’d love to visit in winter to enjoy snowy landscapes and a wood-burning stove!

The large public bath and breakfast were satisfactory. The Room was good and overall decent.

The jinbei loungewear was very comfortable to wear. I even went to the breakfast restaurant wearing it. Breakfast also offered a good variety—Japanese and Western dishes as well as desserts—considering the reasonable Accommodation Fee. There was a Doutor coffee machine in the lobby, which I also enjoyed.

I booked this pension within walking distance because I had long dreamed of seeing the fresh green metasequoia-lined avenue in the morning and evening. I also used everyone’s Reviews as a reference. Luckily, we were blessed with great weather, and we fully enjoyed the vibrant new greenery along the metasequoia trees and felt refreshed by the clean air. Early in the morning there were hardly any tourists, and our walk became a truly wonderful time. Dinner was delicious from start to finish—from the main Omi beef to the apple sorbet—and we were completely satisfied. The recommended white wine was far better than its price suggested, making the meal even more enjoyable. Breakfast was also outstanding, especially the freshly baked bread and homemade strawberry sauce (jam). Above all, both our room and the large public bath were beautifully maintained and very clean, and in so many moments we felt warmed by the thoughtful hospitality of the owner and family—it became a soothing, heartwarming trip. When we left after check-out, the owner waved goodbye as we drove out of the parking lot, which deeply moved both my husband and me. We would love to visit again in a different season next time. The facilities felt a bit dated, as expected from a public accommodation. The room was a combination of Japanese and Western styles. While the Japanese-style side showed some signs of aging, the Western-style side seemed to have been renovated and was excellent. Although our room did not have a private bath, the large communal bath was conveniently close (it seems they accommodated our request for proximity due to my mother’s mobility issues). The room's location near both the dining area and the bath on the first floor was very convenient. The toilet and washroom were clean, making for a comfortable stay. The communal bath was also wonderful. The indoor bath had separate areas for washing and soaking, providing a peaceful experience when in the tub. The outdoor bath offered stunning views of autumn-colored mountains while listening to the gentle sound of a nearby stream—an exceptional experience available even late at night. Compared to the indoor baths, the outdoor baths were slightly cooler, perhaps designed for longer soaks. Above all else, however, it was the food that stood out as extraordinary! Despite jokingly mentioning that Gunma only has mushrooms, miso paste, and wild boar pork ("Inobuta"), these ingredients were crafted into delicious dishes with great care and creativity. The portions were generous; unfortunately, my elderly mother and wife couldn’t finish their meals entirely. The dishes made abundant use of fragrant mushrooms with mild yet flavorful seasoning—truly delightful! Miso paste seemed to be a local specialty here; its rich aroma enhanced various dishes beautifully. And then there’s sake! With around 40 varieties exclusively from Gunma breweries (if I recall correctly), choosing one can be overwhelming at first glance! We opted for their tasting set featuring five types (approximately 30ml each) priced at ¥1,500—and every single one tasted distinctively delicious! Individual glasses ranged between ¥600–¥800 per serving (about 180ml), making it hard not to deliberate over what next drink should follow! I particularly enjoyed "Hiraijo," while my wife preferred "Akagiyama," so we ordered another glass accordingly based on her choice afterward. A staff member who recommended these selections had extensive knowledge about sake which made conversations engaging throughout dinner service too! It’s no surprise this accommodation attracts many repeat visitors—it truly deserves such loyalty given how memorable our stay turned out overall. Last year, we stayed in the Cottage Suite, and this time it was our second stay in the Cinderella Little Suite. The owners provide exceptional hospitality with their warm personalities and thoughtful attention to detail, making our stay incredibly comfortable. The interior of the accommodation and rooms are elegant and stylish, with every corner kept impeccably clean. Dinner is a delightful experience, with each dish from appetizers to dessert being delicious and satisfying. For breakfast, a basket filled with tasty egg sandwiches or vegetable croissant sandwiches, drinks, fruits, yogurt, etc., is delivered to your room. It’s wonderful to enjoy a delicious breakfast while relaxing comfortably in your room without any worries. The private bath made of Maifan stone is spacious enough for two people to enjoy comfortably; you can also check its availability from your room for added convenience. Every time we stay here, we feel so glad that we chose this amazing hotel. We’re looking forward to visiting again during another season!

We were thrilled that they showed us a covered parking area for our two motorcycles. At other Ryokan and Hotels we’ve stayed at, they offer covered parking for cars but say motorcycles aren’t allowed. The Onsen and the meals were excellent, and the staff were courteous—they even checked with the kitchen to answer our questions about the dishes. Overall, it was a very comfortable Ryokan, and we’d like to stay here again whenever we travel to the Yamaguchi area.

The food was as delicious as everyone said. The herb chicken braised in red wine for the main dish was outstanding. This may have been my oversight, but I think having a wine list when ordering would have helped with choosing the type of wine and knowing when to order it. It was very quiet and perfect as a summer retreat. Away from everyday life, I was able to relax and take my time. The building may be old, but it was very well cleaned, and I could feel the owner’s warmth. Thank you very much.

I visited with my 22-year-old daughter. We chose this place because we heard the Onsen water is silky and good for your skin. The Accommodation is old, but it is kept very clean. All the staff were friendly, and a cat welcomed us. My daughter has a cat allergy, but she had no symptoms. We didn’t have high expectations for the meals, but the hell-steamed vegetables and fish were very delicious, and we were completely satisfied with every dish. Breakfast was also healthy and felt detoxifying. The Hells of Beppu tour spots and Okamotoya pudding shop are also nearby by bus. We also recommend the pizza and apple pie at a café called Apple near the Accommodation. We’ve been talking about coming again together.

I stayed with my parents upon their recommendation and was completely satisfied with everything. The delicious meals were more than enough, the building had a charming atmosphere, and the autumn leaves visible from the semi-open-air bath were breathtaking. It reminded me of my grandmother and brought a sense of warmth and relaxation. It was such a wonderful accommodation that I would love to stay again.

We stayed here as three generations of our family. The Room was spacious, the view was wonderful, and we enjoyed a truly luxurious time. The balcony was especially pleasant—during the day we all enjoyed the pool, and at night we stargazed together. We had a truly luxurious stay. We would love to stay again.

I had been interested in this facility for a long time and finally got the chance to visit. This trip was also to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday, and she was truly delighted. We were even given flowers by the staff, which deeply moved her. The onsen experience was wonderful. The walking bath requires swimwear (free rental available for guests) and is 50 meters one way. The water temperature is on the cooler side, but it was perfect for exercise. There are two open-air baths along the walking bath where you can warm up while enjoying the serene flow of Serikawa River nearby. Even though it rained during our visit, there were roofs that kept us comfortable, and the beautifully maintained plants around looked stunning with raindrops on them—some flowers were blooming too, adding to the atmosphere. There’s also a low-temperature sauna where swimwear is required as well as spacious indoor baths that can be enjoyed without swimwear. What stood out most was the food—it was absolutely exceptional! Every dish was not only visually stunning but also incredibly delicious. The order and combination of courses were thoughtfully planned out. The main course featuring Bungo beef steak was exquisite, and the sashimi had outstanding freshness with generous portions provided. Being able to enjoy such top-tier cuisine prepared by a skilled chef at this price point felt like an incredible privilege! Breakfast too exceeded all expectations. The cottage-style accommodation units were impeccably clean and very comfortable to stay in. One minor downside we noticed: doors at places like restrooms or room entrances closed quickly instead of softly shutting—they almost caught our feet once or twice—so I’m deducting one star for safety concerns here. That said, we are extremely satisfied with this amazing facility overall after such a long time since encountering something so wonderful. Next time we plan to bring along our children’s families or friends! Thank you so much for everything during this stay!
