The atmosphere was homey and very clean, and all the staff were extremely kind. It was late July, but the temperature wasn’t too high and the humidity was low, so it was very comfortable—Karuizawa really is wonderful. We stayed for two nights, but on the second night my son became unwell, and I’m very sorry for the trouble we caused. Even though it was sudden, a staff member said, “Please let us know if there’s anything we can do,” and they also helped us check out quickly that same day—thank you so much. By the next day my son was feeling better and said, “Karuizawa was fun—I want to stay at that Hotel again.” I’m also sorry this Review is so late. I will contact you again separately. There was an unexpected issue and I panicked a bit, but I made another special memory in Karuizawa after a long time. Thank you very much.

I made a Reservation because I was drawn to the title of this Accommodation, and it was absolutely the right choice! This is a simple, historic Accommodation, yet it feels spotless throughout. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles from the staff, and we were very satisfied with the quality of the Onsen water. The “Taste of Local Bounty” dining menu was especially memorable—above all, being able to bite into a whole river fish from head to tail was an experience you won’t find elsewhere.

This was my first visit to Kamikochi and my first stay overnight. The location is excellent—just 30 seconds from Kappa Bridge—and the building is very clean throughout. The dinner and breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, and we were very satisfied. Neither my companion nor I drink alcohol, but there was a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks as well as craft beer. We toasted with a Shine Muscat sparkling drink. There is no TV in the Room, which encouraged us to go to bed early and fully enjoy our stay surrounded by nature. If the weather is good, you can also enjoy the starry sky.

Because the property is operated by a small team, there were a few minor things I noticed, but the meals were delicious and served in just the right portions, and I was able to enjoy the bath to my satisfaction with a Reservation. I’d love to come back in autumn to see the fall foliage.

The staff’s hospitality, the quality of the meals, the atmosphere of the Room, and the surrounding environment all exceeded our expectations. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy a truly special getaway, and our dog was stress-free as well. Thank you.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. My spouse and I were able to enjoy the private family bath together many times, and it became a wonderful memory for us. We are truly grateful to everyone at the Accommodation for your warm and dedicated service. We were very concerned to hear about the major earthquake that occurred shortly afterward. This Accommodation was in a wonderful location—close to both the mountains and the river, and just a few minutes’ walk from the station. Most memorable of all was the emerald-green Onsen with its soothing sulfur scent. It felt so good that we ended up soaking five or six times during our one-night stay, and as Onsen lovers we were completely satisfied. The two-tier layout—with a hotter bath and a lukewarm bath—was also very convenient, letting us enjoy alternating temperatures. We also appreciated that both dinner and breakfast were not overly large, but just the right amount. There were many local specialties, and we especially enjoyed the pudding made with freshly laid eggs from a nearby poultry farm, as well as the Onsen eggs. The next day we even visited the poultry farm you recommended and bought some eggs to take home! Above all, everyone at the front desk and in the restaurant was incredibly kind. They spoke to us warmly and helped us with all sorts of questions about sightseeing spots. Thanks to you, my child and I had a truly wonderful trip together. We are sincerely grateful. It was an unforgettable Accommodation—one that makes us want to return next time with my father and my daughter as well. Thank you very much.

All the meals were delicious, and the Onsen was wonderful. The Room and bath areas were kept very clean, so we had a very comfortable stay. The amenities were well provided and really helpful. There was bottled water in the Room refrigerator, and there was also a lounge where you can freely enjoy soft drinks; we had coffee after dinner as well. The Japanese garden in the courtyard was also beautiful. We could choose our favorite yukata, which made us feel even more excited. All the staff were kind and helpful. There were lots of cute cat-themed items in the lobby, hallways, and lounge, which was very soothing. We were able to relax at a leisurely pace. There was a roadside station and a supermarket nearby, so the location was convenient as well. It was such a lovely Accommodation that we would love to stay again. Thank you very much!

I arrived by motorcycle. At first, the parking instructions were a bit hard to understand, but luckily there was an available space and I was able to park on the property. For breakfast, they served a local specialty—hittsumi soup—which was great and very satisfying. This is an Accommodation I’d like to stay at again. Thank you!

Last summer, after renting a nearby vacation home and visiting Morito Beach, we discovered SCAPES THE SUITE. We made a Reservation because we were drawn to the easy beach access and the property’s atmosphere, and we had been looking forward to our stay. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy the sea with our family, including our two young daughters. We used the pick-up and drop-off service from Zushi Station, and being greeted by a classic Cedric taxi instantly set a resort mood. We arrived a little early and planned to wait in the lobby, but perhaps because of my IKYU Diamond membership, we were shown to our Room right away. It was the twin “Mandarin Orange.” It felt more spacious than expected, with the Shonan sea right in front of us and Enoshima clearly visible at all times. Due to the weather we only caught a faint glimpse of Mt. Fuji for a moment, but having the ocean always in view was truly soothing. After the concierge kindly showed us around the Room, they helped arrange our one-hour private jacuzzi time (per Room) as well as breakfast time. We were worried about an approaching typhoon, but fortunately it took a course that didn’t affect us much—so we even enjoyed occasional sunshine. Our daughters’ family was able to swim several times, while we grandparents stayed in the Room caring for our 7-month-old grandchild. It was wonderfully relaxing. With children aged three and zero with us, we ate out for dinner; however, the Hotel restaurant also looked very appealing. This time we only had breakfast and lunch here, but next time we would love to try dinner as well. No matter where you look from within this property—the balcony or even from the jacuzzi—the view of the sea never gets old. That scenery itself felt like your greatest hospitality. We also strongly felt how much everyone working there loves Hayama—and loves this Hotel. The pride and care of both the concierge team and those serving at breakfast/the restaurant really came through. We were also delighted by your gift: Genbei’s famous beach sandals. You coordinated sizes and colors for each family member perfectly—our daughters’ family was thrilled. Finally, after receiving an outstanding carrot dressing as well, we headed home feeling refreshed. Not only in summer but in any season, SCAPES is a place where you can truly relax—and we would love to return again. Thank you very much to everyone at the Hotel.

Whenever I stay in Omura, I always choose the Central Hotel. The bus terminal with convenient access from Omura Station and Nagasaki Airport is ideally located. Parking is also available, and above all, the complimentary breakfast is excellent. The room rates are reasonable, which is very helpful. The front desk staff are pleasant and welcoming.

I’d been wanting to stay here, and I truly enjoyed it in great spirits. It was a calm and happy stay. The books in the Room were wonderful, too! I was also very pleased with the various perks at Moegi no Mura!

I came here to relax. I love camping too, but I really wanted to unwind, and I’d been wanting to visit because it seemed like I could enjoy both—so we stayed in Snow Peak’s JYUBAKO. It was so wonderful that I want to make it a must-do once a year. My husband was very satisfied as well, and we definitely want to come back. Dinner was great, of course, and breakfast was also delicious—we were full and completely satisfied. Thank you for a wonderful time.

I have stayed at many well-known Hotels in Tokyo, and this was without a doubt the No. 1 experience. The view toward Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace was outstanding. While other Hotels have unfortunately lost their former views due to new high-rise construction, I believe this Hotel will continue to offer an unchanged panoramic view of Tokyo for years to come. The Room was very relaxing, and the thoughtful touches such as fruit and items in the refrigerator made for a comfortable night’s stay. I also visited the bar—the authentic pizza was delicious, and the staff were attentive, which made me very satisfied. For breakfast I had the American breakfast; everything was high quality, and with the pleasant service from the staff, it was a truly enjoyable time. If I had to mention one thing, I would have liked a more extensive selection of amenities, but overall it was an experience that ranks among my No. 1 stays.

We stayed here as a couple for our wedding anniversary. It seemed we had the place to ourselves by chance, so we were able to truly relax. Every dish was carefully prepared, and everything was a flavor we had never tried before—absolutely delicious. The owners were also very kind, and we had a wonderful time. We would love to come back and stay again at a leisurely pace.

This was my second stay, following my visit in July. Perhaps because of that, the owner seemed more relaxed than last time, and I felt we were able to connect a little more. In my previous Review, I wrote things like how it didn’t feel like the cats were the type you could constantly pet, and that one of them seemed unhappy when we took photos. I got the impression the owner may have been a bit concerned about those comments. However, what I really meant was that this Accommodation is worth visiting not for the cats, but for the food—so if it came across as a negative Review, I truly apologize. This time, Candy looked very pleased when I petted her around her neck and chin, and Mew repeatedly showed off catching food in her mouth. I felt we became friendlier than last time. Cats are naturally moody—and just like people, there are times when they’re not in the mood. Since taste is subjective, it might be clearer for first-time guests if you highlight “cute cats” rather than focusing too much on the cuisine. Personally though, I think of this place as: amazing food first, plus the bonus of meeting adorable cats—so honestly, I would come even if there were no cats. This time I added breakfast as well. The homemade dressing was delicious; the miso soup had a rich dashi flavor; and overall—including dinner—you can really feel how much care goes into every dish. Dinner included some items from last time as well as some changes, so even repeat guests can enjoy it. I travel almost every month throughout The whole country and overseas (40 countries), so I can’t visit very often—but whenever I’m heading to the Izu area again, I’d love to return. Please keep running this Accommodation for as long as your energy and motivation allow.

While solo stays at Onsen Accommodations can be difficult to find, Uematsuya is a welcome option for solo travelers. They also offer a Shuttle Service from the station, which was a big help with my heavy luggage. Bessho Onsen is a small hot spring town, so you can explore the sights on foot. The Ryokan’s Facility is old but well maintained and clean. I was able to enjoy the Onsen at a relaxed pace without running into other guests. The meals were delicious as well. At the dining area, a trainee served us with great dedication, which was truly heartwarming to see.

I had been on the go since early morning and was completely exhausted, so I truly appreciated the thoughtful care from all the staff. The view from the Room was wonderful as well. The spa also soothed my tired body and was very relaxing. I almost didn’t want to check out. I will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

This is my favorite Accommodation, and I’ve returned many times. This time, I stayed in the Geihinkan “Hanafuki” Room and was truly soothed by the spacious, luxurious setting. The view of the waterfall flowing right in front of the Room was especially memorable, and I could relax at a leisurely pace while listening to the gentle sound of the river. The double-sink vanity was very convenient, and it was also a great touch that I could step straight from the bedroom to the private open-air Onsen bath in the Room. Being able to enjoy Onsen whenever I like without any hesitation feels wonderfully indulgent. Because the bedroom and dining Room are separate, there’s no need for futon setup or takedown, so I could stay comfortable and relaxed throughout my entire stay. Meals were served in-room, which I loved—hot dishes arrived piping hot, and cold dishes stayed perfectly chilled, letting me enjoy everything at its freshest. The seasonal tableware and menu were delicious and beautifully presented, making each meal something I look forward to every time. The tea prepared during meals was also excellent and truly calming. I also appreciated all the complimentary services—from free drinks in the in-room refrigerator to drinks and ice cream in the lounge. It was especially nice that towels are provided at the large public bath so there’s no need to bring them from your Room. The large public bath itself is very comfortable, with thoughtful touches everywhere. Above all, every staff member offers such warm hospitality and attentive care. Once again, this stay left me feeling deeply refreshed as I enjoyed a comfortable yet luxurious time. It’s an Accommodation that makes me think “I want to come back” every single visit—I truly love it. I will definitely return again.

We stayed to celebrate my father’s 81st birthday. From the warm welcome at our car, the staff’s courteous and heartfelt hospitality left a strong impression, and we were able to spend the entire stay in great comfort. Not only was every detail thoughtfully taken care of—including arranging a wheelchair—but the all-inclusive offerings were also exceptionally fulfilling, allowing us to relax and enjoy a luxurious time without worrying about the clock. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious, and together with the atmosphere and interior design throughout the Hotel, we felt quality and attentive care in everything. I’m truly glad we chose this Hotel for such a special occasion as a birthday. I had assumed it might be used mostly by younger guests, but there were many older guests as well, so we could enjoy a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to everyone’s kindness, it became an unforgettable memory for us. This is a wonderful Hotel that makes us want to return in another season. Thank you very much for your sincere hospitality.
