My family stayed in the Premium Ocean View Room. The renovated Room was very comfortable, and the bench seating by the window was especially convenient. The live squid we were looking forward to was served as frozen squid due to the weather, but it was still delicious and we were fully satisfied and stuffed. It was a shame that the water in the large public bath was lukewarm, but overall our satisfaction level was high. The location is not easy to reach by public transportation, but if you transfer buses well you can get right to the front of the Ryokan (on the way back, we walked to Yobuko Port).

Due to my daughter's work, we urgently searched for accommodation in Tateyama and stayed at Chikurakan. The wallpaper in the room was blue, but there were noticeable scratches and peeling here and there. A white color might give a cleaner impression. The futon was quite thin, making my body stiff. Also, the air conditioner stopped blowing air, and although a staff member fixed it for us, it only worked at 22 degrees Celsius, so we shivered through the night (laughs). As for the baths: the smaller one is 100% natural hot spring with lukewarm water; the larger one is 50% natural hot spring with hotter water. Alternating between them warmed up our bodies wonderfully. However, the steps of the smaller bath were slippery—many guests seemed to have dangerous slips. My daughter and I also hit our arms hard; this should be addressed somehow. For meals, we had a course that included spiny lobster along with abalone and large clams—all very delicious overall! The freshly cooked rice was also satisfying. Lastly, if I may add: all staff members lacked friendliness—they seemed to speak strictly according to manuals without conveying any sense of hospitality toward guests, which was disappointing.

Last year, my 101-year-old mother-in-law passed away, and I invited my elder sister and niece, who have been feeling a bit lonely since then, to stay here. We celebrated my sister's birthday during dinner with a toast, and the staff surprised us with a Happy Birthday song and cake. Seeing my sister's happy smile made me feel so glad I chose this Hotel. Although we couldn't see the sunset this time due to rain (unlike last time), we will definitely come back again!

The open-air bath attached to the Room was spacious, and there were also sun loungers, making it perfect for relaxing. The Room was clean and comfortable, and we had a pleasant stay. The service was polite and we were satisfied. The meals were delicious and luxurious; however, if I may be picky, the portions were too large. For guests in their 50s, about half would likely be enough to feel full. It would be even better if portion sizes could be adjusted.

We stayed here for my mother’s birthday. I had arranged a fruit platter as an optional gift in advance, and there was also a thoughtful photo frame and message card in our Room, which made my mother very happy. Thank you for helping make it such a memorable birthday. Thanks to the proprietress’s many considerate touches, we had a comfortable and enjoyable trip. It was a truly wonderful Accommodation in every detail. The food and baths were excellent, and we were able to fully enjoy Shuzenji.

This was my second stay. Last time, I really enjoyed the “Sukiyaki with Matsutake Mushrooms and Butter-Grilled Autumn Salmon & Mushrooms” course, so this time I chose the classic Plan with a kaiseki meal featuring Mihara’s specialty octopus shabu-shabu and lava-grilled domestic beef. Despite the weak yen continuing due to factors such as the Middle East situation and rising prices overall, it seems they are doing their best with little to no price increase; however, that may be why the meal felt noticeably less satisfying, and I felt the portion size would not be enough for younger families raising children. For guests who want to focus on dining, it would be helpful to recommend choosing a course labeled [Cuisine-Focused]. Even so, the pricing still offers excellent value for money. This year, it seems the “Sukiyaki with Matsutake Mushrooms and Autumn Salmon” course is not being offered, but I hope they will bring it back even if it costs more. This time, we were also able to enjoy fireflies near the Hotel due to the season. The staff are kind, and it’s a great-value Hotel—so I hope they continue offering Plans that let guests fully enjoy delicious food.

Even though it was Golden Week, we were able to make a Reservation, so this was our first stay here. It turned into a wonderful trip and we were very satisfied. We could feel the attention to detail in every item, from the ornaments in the Hotel to the small touches in the guest Room. The wallpaper in our Room was especially lovely. All of the staff were friendly while also giving us just the right amount of space, which made us feel at ease. The large public bath on the 3rd floor, including the open-air bath, was kept at a comfortable temperature that made it easy to stay in for a long time. The changing area was thoroughly cleaned and felt very hygienic. We bathed before dinner and again before breakfast, and it felt great. We also appreciated that bathing is available from 5:00 a.m. We had dinner at the restaurant in the neighboring Facility. With the short course—from appetizers to soup, main dish, and dessert—everything was delicious. We had also asked the Hotel in advance for a Mother’s Day surprise dessert plate, and the restaurant staff handled it perfectly. My mother was delighted, and we were happy as well. Thank you for helping create such a wonderful memory. Breakfast was served inside the Hotel; the egg dish had a gentle flavor, and the salad served in jars featured fresh vegetables and tasted great. Thank you very much for everything—it became a truly special memory. At checkout, you kept safe an earring I had forgotten in the changing area and checked with all guests until it finally made its way back to me. I’m sorry for any trouble this caused. Your thoughtful response meant a lot to us. After that, we were also happy to run into someone from your front desk again at “Hatsukoi no Oka Cafe,” part of your group that has recently started operating. We would love to visit again in another season. Thank you very much.

I found this site and, as a birthday gift for my wife, I splurged more than on our usual trips and made a Reservation for the “Shinshu Beef Tasting Kaiseki” on the Sky Comfort Floor. When we checked in, thanks to the Hotel’s consideration, we were upgraded to a Luxury Suite at no extra charge. It was truly eye-opening. That alone would have been more than enough, but dinner—the “Shinshu Beef Tasting Kaiseki”—was also outstanding: sweet and tender beef, a rich aroma, and exceptional hospitality. This has definitely become one of the Hotels we want to return to. Thank you very much. My wife was delighted as well. The open-air bath was also wonderful—just like in the photos on the site—and incredibly relaxing.

Very close to the center of Susukino, with an excellent location. Check-in was handled by a woman wearing a trainee name tag; she assisted us promptly with a smile, and it was a very pleasant check-in experience. The Room was also clean and comfortable. Thank you very much.

We stayed for one night and two days. Unfortunately, it rained, but the Room was spacious and comfortable, so we were able to relax and enjoy our time. The BBQ dinner was prepared in advance, making it easy even for beginners to enjoy with peace of mind. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.

I didn’t stay here when I lived in Chitose, but I did come for a meal. I stayed here for the first time in 25 years, and it was spacious and clean. It was very comfortable.

From the phone call before our stay, the service was very courteous and pleasant. Many of the staff seemed young, but everyone was wonderfully attentive, and we were able to relax throughout our stay. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and it was also lovely to move to the lounge and enjoy dessert while taking in the view outside. We would definitely like to stay again.

A perfect stopover point for a long drive. New and clean. There’s also a bath, and they accommodated my requests. The staff provided just the right level of service. I wasn’t bothered by noise from neighboring rooms or outside. And it’s affordable. I stayed here on both the outbound and return legs of my trip home by car. It was great to be able to secure a parking space with a Reservation as well. For the return trip, I considered another Hotel, but choosing this one again was the right decision.

I stay here about four or five times a year. It remains comfortable and reasonably priced. However, amenities are no longer freely available, which felt a bit disappointing. Also, while I understand it’s unavoidable and I’m happy to support the eco-friendly policy of using up toilet paper rolls, the previous guest had used them almost completely, so I had to go to the front desk to get more.

For our 40th wedding anniversary, we searched for a place where we could relax in an Onsen and enjoy a delicious French dinner, and this Hotel came up. Hoping—just a little—that there might be a celebratory chocolate message plate with dessert, we visited Tamana Onsen for the first time. Dinner was beautifully presented and delicious, and we were more than satisfied—but after the course dessert and coffee, to our surprise, a cake plate arrived!! We truly weren’t expecting that much, so we were overwhelmed with emotion and almost brought to tears. And the cake itself—the whipped cream was exquisitely tasty. The quality was exactly what you’d expect from a Hotel cake! On top of that, the message lettering was beautifully done, the chocolate was delicious as well, and we were once again impressed by the pastry chef’s craftsmanship. The Onsen was spacious with free-flowing water, and it was lovely to see it decorated with traditional Japanese umbrellas and bamboo lanterns. It also felt wonderful to be greeted so warmly by all of the staff. The next day, we walked to Riganji Park’s footbath and enjoyed the cherry blossoms at Jagatani Park—making the most of our first visit to Tamana. We’ve both been busy working full-time for years and had never stayed at an Onsen Accommodation on our actual anniversary day before, so this became a truly special occasion—our most memorable since our wedding. We are deeply grateful to all of the Hotel staff for creating such a wonderful celebration. Thank you very much! Next time, we’ll be sure to visit again with friends and family.

This was my second stay at the accommodation, and I had a pleasant experience again. The room was clean and comfortable. Thank you very much. The large public bath was also very enjoyable; however, I noticed that while there were four mirrors and hair dryers in the changing area, there were only two chairs available. Some guests had to stand while drying their hair. Additionally, the chairs were quite low, making it difficult to see one's face in the mirror when seated, so many guests stood for skincare as well. Although this is not a place where one spends a long time, it was the only inconvenience I experienced during my stay. I look forward to staying here again. Thank you very much!

We stayed here while sightseeing in Hagi City. After strolling through Hagi’s historic streets, we enjoyed kawara soba, pudding, and fried dishes until it was time to check in. When we arrived at the Hotel and opened the window, we could see the Sea of Japan, and the sound of the waves was soothing. The meal portions were very satisfying. The dishes were so gorgeous and wonderful that you might even wonder if you can finish them all. After dinner, we saw information about a private Onsen in our Room, made a Reservation at the front desk, and headed to the private Onsen. *Please note: preparation for the private Onsen takes about two hours, so it may be best to make your Reservation fairly early. This Onsen is a sodium chloride–calcium spring with slightly salty water as its distinctive feature. The Onsen is a little distance away, but we highly recommend trying the private Onsen as well.

I wanted a non-smoking Room, but none were available at the time of Reservation. Since my wife is sensitive to the smell of cigarettes, I emailed to confirm, and received a prompt and courteous reply, which allowed us to head to the Hotel with peace of mind. On the day, our Room was changed to a non-smoking Room, and we were also able to relax in the large public bath and recover from our trip. We had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

It was located in a wonderfully nature-rich setting. The meals were also very delicious. The private open-air bath in the detached annex was a truly special, escape-from-the-everyday experience. I’d love to visit again.

The staff’s hospitality was excellent. I booked a breakfast-included Plan, and the meal was beautifully presented, with delicious rice. At the on-site pastry shop, their desire for guests to truly enjoy the sweets really came through. I tried the silky pudding with vanilla beans and it was outstanding. It seems you can also buy pastries for takeout, so I’d like to stop by again when I visit Utsunomiya. Since weddings are held here as well, the lobby and other areas felt calm and pleasant. There is plenty of parking, so arriving by car was no concern at all.
